Black and White Cafe in Cardiff

Our second visit for the breakfast (so far!) and we will be back! Great place. Lovely service! Best breakfast I had in a long time. No grease! Big portions! Couldnt make it better myself.

Es bueno volver a abrir el Black and White Cafe en Cardiff.Todavía hay espacio para un café británico tradicional en la calle principal que sirve el tipo de comida con la que todos estamos familiarizados.Fui allí un viernes a última hora de la mañana y la gente disfrutaba de un inglés completo o como yo un almuerzo temprano.La cena de pastel de cabaña que tuve fue deliciosa y se sirve agradable y caliente con verduras frescas.El comedor es amplio con muchos asientos, el servicio fue excelente y la comida llegó rápidamente a mi mesa.Hubo una buena relación entre los clientes y el personal, una gran señal de satisfacción.Si te gusta un café tradicional en Cardiff, puedo recomendar este.

Popped in for breakfast and coffee. Reopened after 2 years. Very clean and polite service. Huge menu with reasonable charges.

Not impressed at all, hair in my black pudding, very bland, spread on the toast was yuk. Won’t be going back EVER!

Really pleased this iconic cafe has re opened after a complete refit. Serving a wide choice of food to the people of grangetown and Cardiff.

Closed for good after many years providing food to all the people of cardiff, so sad that's it going to be s block of flats !!

This was a lovely cafe but has now been knocked down and is being turned into flats a golden era gone .

Great little cafe, lots of options, does get busy so sometimes orders take a little longer but still pretty speedy compared to others. Price wise it's pretty fair too.

Gran lugar para tomar el desayuno, brunch o almuerzo. La comida es lo que esperas, es barato caliente y abundante, el lugar es limpio, agradable, aunque un poco anticuada. No es el lugar para llevar a tu pareja para el día de San Valentín, pero si quieres un guiso y una taza de té de constructores, entonces este es tu lugar

Parece que ese se merece una mención, no sabe con certeza lo que sucedió aquí. Normalmente no suelo salir de un café, pero después de que nos hicieron sentir incómodo, ignorado, la vergüenza. No creo que tenía una opción. Realmente no sé el motivo, y no quiero decir, pero lo único que se me ocurre es el color de mi piel? Me hubiera gustado saltar a conclusiones y se interese por una explicación, para ser honesto.Fuimos a la barra para pedir comida y pidió a la señora si podía sentarse a comer. La señora no fue terriblemente sensible. Normalmente se esperaría de ellos al asiento o tomar tu orden. De todos modos, entonces hay algunas sirenas fuera y me quedó allí tratando de hacer contacto visual con ella, pedimos la comida que yo quería. La señora no me reconocen, me ignoraron, distraídos por las sirenas, buscando lejos en el Sirenas. Bien. Pero después de todo lo que había desaparecido, caminaba a la vuelta y me dejaron allí! En este punto tuve suficiente. Resulta chocante que esta falta de habilidades de atención al cliente realmente existe!

I eat here every Sunday. Food is cooked to order, hot and there is plenty of it. Cafe atmosphere but friendly

Never disappointed, if its a filling breakfast you're looking for, go no further! Everything you need to set you up for the day, or after the night before. Great portions, quality, and very tasty.

We found this place by chance but had as good a fry up as you can get. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to fill up at the start of the day

To be honest I was not expect in much from this place, love just around the corner so thought would meet up with a friend for coffee, decided to have something to eat which was nice, it's not the best food in the world of best cafe in Cardiff but for what it is well it's really good I shall definitely be back, keep up the good work

Truly disgusting, I don't know how they are still in business. Poor quality ingredients, no customer service, incredibly dirty. There are plenty more "greasy spoons" which get it right, I don't know how this one gets it so wrong. Awarded a 4 out of 5 by the environmental Heath but I really don't know how. Complained about our breakfast and the owner/employee just shrugged.

Want a traditional fry-up with all the trimmings? ...then go here. Good ol' cafe with prompt food served. The best part? Asking for a full breakfast, finishing it and wanting more...I said so in passing, and from seeminlgy nowhere, a bacon sandwich was put in front of me at no extra cost...now that's what i call a good cafe!

We went to this place for breakfast when visiting Cardiff in Easter and liked it so much that we went again. The owner George is very nice and friendly and in general the cafe had a very homely and cosy atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and the portions were massive. Definitely would reccommend.

Having been recommended by my Brother John, we decided to visit The Black & White Cafe along with my Sister Liz and her husband, my brother Charles and his wife and two grand children,and me and my wife and two grandchildren. It was funny that the staff new my brother John, as he had been there many times before. The service was superb meals in front of you within minutes of ordering, The food was great and were large portions,and were very reasonably priced (I paid £13 for 4 meals with hot drinks included) If you are looking for Value for money without paying for the carpets and wallpaper and furnishings this is the place to. I will certainly return and recommend to others.
