Bites in Barnet

We had breakfast here a few mornings, while staying at the Travelodge over the road. Friendly staff and the food was delicious - scrambled eggs on sourdough with a perfectly fresh salad, shakshuka (baked eggs in tomato and pepper sauce) again with a lovely salad, teas and coffees. The cakes and lunchtime sandwiches and salads looked amazing and we're looking forward to trying more of the menu on a future visit. The price compares favourably with the Travelodge but the quality is much, much better.

Some nice food on offer and the coffee is great too. A lovely but informal place to eat / meet / be alone and contemplate life.

I took a detour from the tube to get my first coffee of the day. The flat white was very strong and really woke me up.

I believe the staff are the only asset to this place. The sandwiches are dull, tasteless and boring. If a chef can’t make a sandwich then why are they hiring he/she ? The brownie is okay and their cakes are not too bad. All in all the staff are wonderful and that’s what makes it a pleasure to come and buy coffee.

Bites has had a complete re fit and staff have been re trained to make a perfect coffee with all sorts of adaptations using different sorts of milks. I find bites very comfortable to eat in and to take out. Food is of excellent standard and eaten many times over and over again. The last manager the larger lady has gone and now staff seem very happy and easy to talk to if you want something made or different at ease to help. Well done for this positive turn around! Staff are rude and also quite bitchy. Whatever you do-don’t ask them for any assistance! They are already doing you a massive favour! Entire place is freezing. Food is nice, but no different or nicer compared to nearby cafes. One of the women in charge is the size of a giant and looks so angry it’s terrifying. Needs a bit of a refit. Urgh. Food is average and served with a side of fury.

My husband and I visited for breakfast after staying in Travelodge Finchley, it was amazing!!! I had the Eggs Florentine, my husband had the Eggs Benedict. We also ordered 2 smoothies and 3 coffees, the service, the welcome, the food did not disappoint!! Will definitely visit again next time we’re in London

Popped in for brunch and so glad we did. French toast was amazing and the eggs benedict cooked to perfection. Try the herbal teas, best I’ve ever had.

Nipped in to Bites for breakfast on Saturday morning. I head an omelette with coffee. Herself had eggs Benedict with tea. Service was swift and food was nice. Would go again but slightly over priced.

This place looks new and is very close to the tube. My flat white coffee was very rich and creamy. The sandwiches and salads look delicious plus they do hot food too.

I go here several mornings a week, sometimes for breakfast, sometimes just for a coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. The meals are excellent. Good selection of snacks, cakes, etc. This is a cafe rather than a restaurant, and on weekdays there is only one breakfast, though with plenty of options, i.e. eggs how you like them, choice of what goes in omelette, toast, drink - all for a set price, and that suits my needs entirely. On Saturdays there's more of a breakfast choice. (I've not had lunch there and I don't even know if they do a lunch - or maybe the set breakfast is available all day?) The other thing is that it's a bit small: I estimate about 26 covers, but some tables are definitely better than others. Nice and cosy once you've got your table. The staff do go out of their way to help.

Its lovely here. A little different with some great 'bites' and salads sandwiches. Not a huge amount of space to sit but its nice inside and you can takeaway!

蛋糕有點乾，價位也有點高，本來對於這樣的 價位，所吃到的食物會有所期待的，但是卻是以失望收場。但是店員跟咖啡非常的棒。

Great place to go for a coffee and a catch up with friends. The cakes and food on display look delicious - vegan options too! It wasn't clear what items had nuts in them and sadly my brother who has a nut allergy wasn't able to order any food from here as the staff told him they use all the same tongs etc in food prep. If they could do something to make allergies clearer on food labels and make an effort to cater for those with nut allergies then I'd award this place 4 stars.

Sandwiches are ok, soup was good, but the staff was really rude so i made it a point to never go back even though i was staying right next to it for about 3 weeks.

Amazing sandwiches, fresh food, delicious coffee and now breakfast options during weekends! Love their soups! And prices are really realistic as well. Deffinitely my favourite coffee shop in Finchley. They have got healthy version of cakes too!

Vivo más cerca de North Finchley que de Finchley Central y en una caminata reciente me llamó la atención una pizarra. ¿Cómo nunca había notado Bites antes? La respuesta no es importante.

Necesitaba un lugar para esperar a la familia y vio su pizarra afuera. Se veía bien, así que entró. Muy contento de haberlo hecho. Brownie de chocolate era de un tamaño generoso y sorprendentemente pegajoso. Café perfecto también. El personal fue muy servicial y amable. Por dentro es pequeño y pintoresco. Definitivamente regresaría.

Go here almost every day as the sandwiches and coffee are fresh and prepared with care. Really great choice and friendly staff.

Este lugar tiene un buen café y solía trabajar como para sentarse y allí ya que es tranquilo y cómodo. Sin embargo, yo ya no iba y sin duda no pedir cualquier comida, ya que parece que es el perro"". Cuando estaba sentado allí, los clientes domésticos para sentarse dentro de la cafetería con no menos de 3 perros en su mesa. El olor era repugnante y yo tenía que salir. Esto es totalmente anti-higiénicas en un lugar que prepara y sirve la comida, y me impacta mucho que así lo permiten.

Coffee is good, sandwiches are very good, staff is nice and friendly. The inside would benefit from more light and more comfortable chairs, but other than that it's all good!

Not my first visit. Chips and chicken nuggets/legs reasonable. But I have seen staff handle money and use the same bare fingers to touch the fries when dispensing from the fryer. Their hands must touch the chicken products too. On this occasion the man made me wait whilst he served newer customers the fresh fries straight from the fryer and served me last. Dreadful man. The staff are not clean.

Estupenda comida. Porciones fresco y bueno. Pero el personal es tan grosero. He estado yendo desde que abrieron. Casi tres veces a la semana y todavía hablar conmigo como shxx. Estoy empezando a pensar que su parte del gancho.

Está justo en frente de cabeza de mi oficina contable, así que cada vez que llego allí me dirijo una molesta mañana en un regalo para mí ... Me encanta. Siempre tienen comida, boca de deliciosos sándwiches frescos y son muy agradables, amable y rápido...

picaduras es mi lugar favorito tanto para un café o un aperitivo rápido cuando visite Barnet County Court cercano. Siempre hay una tentadora variedad de sándwiches y pasteles en el mostrador para acompañar su bebida preferiblemente en una cómoda silla o en una mesa común en la parte de atrás. Hoy en día después de tener el almuerzo en otro lado, pero con un poco de tiempo de sobra un limón polenta caso llovizna y un expreso (extra shot sin cargo extra) eran un lujazo. Me di cuenta lo que parecía ser un pastel salado y ensalada que consumen en una mesa cercana. Cuando se pidió leche para tomar un té una botella en miniatura llegamos. También hay algunos trabajos de arte interesante para la venta en las paredes, aunque mucho de que lo mismo, creo que, como arte vi hace más de un año.

on the plus side for a local coffee/sandwich shop there Is much to commend, all be the coffee is a bit cold - but the sandwiches and salads are great.on the minus side the staff serving are so miserable, unfriendly and slow it will often stop me going in. so owners and staff greet people with a smiley face be happy and be quicker !

Its sort of a coffee shop that serves food. It looks amazing inside, the food looks fresh and tastes good. And the latte is the best I've ever had. Just the way I like it. I've been to this place twice before today, because I had to attend courses in the area. And unfortunately today was the last day I will be in the area. So if you are in Finchley area and need a coffee, this is the place to visit.
