Bingsoo Cafe in Kingston upon Thames

Everything is good here.... Matcha latte, matcha crepe, cakes, croissant-waffle (croffle). Worth a trip to New Malden just to experience this truly authentic place.

the quality of food is good, the staff are very friendly and helpful despite looking overwhelmed and very busy. I saw one of the staff trip because of a broken metal fitting on the floor. I hope the owner takes better care of their staff…

I had a delightful experience at the cafe with amazing coffee, delicious food, and a charming atmosphere complete with a photobooth. Regrettably, I must give a one-star rating due to safety concerns for my baby. The highchair provided lacked adequate straps, causing my daughter to slip through it. Fortunately, I caught her in time, but the incident left her very distressed. Immediate action is necessary to prevent such accidents in the future.

Visited yesterday for the first time - didn't realise it was under the same management as Cafe Mori in Wimbledon which is somewhere I go regularly. They do 3 more flavours of bingsoo here though. I really love both cafes, the choice of music is always very mellow and people are able to work and study here undisturbed. The servers are always super nice and in a good mood. They have a photobooth with props in this branch which was super cute!!

The food is good, matcha powder used was not good and tasted weird and I wish they had the strawberry latte. Kimchi cheese panini was a bit stale you could tell from the bread but it was alright. Mango cake however is top notch! Their cakes are fabulous. I’ve got to say though the atmosphere is not good, it’s not very clean and the furniture is very old and uncomfortable I think it calls for a good renovation because although the food is decent, the atmosphere isn’t pleasant. Would probably not return unless it is just for the bingsoo

The Bingsu is absolutely delicious although it may take upwards of 20mins. Seating is very limited.

Great spot with some delicious treats - the Bingsoo is a mountain though, so make sure to share it with someone. I’d also recommend the croffles - absolutely delicious 😁

Nice cafe serving nice cake, coffee and dessert. After King's visit, there are more visitors and many of them not returning their trays back. Their staff can't handle the demand, trays and used dishes are everywhere.

Been coming here for just over a year and I love it! Can be very very busy so it’s difficult to find a place to sit. Despite this the atmosphere is cosy with music in the background and fun with a photo booth. The service is always great but waiting times can be long, however due to a busy schedule it can’t be helped. Love the cakes considering I don’t have a sweet tooth they are perfect! 10/10

Came here solely for the bingsoo and we were not disappointed. The best bingsoo I've had in London. I LOVED the matcha and red bean bingsoo and the coffee bingsoo and highly recommend. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the cafe was relatively packed but still had few seats available. If you like bingsoo or want to try it for the first time, this is the place to go :)

It would help if you absolutely tried shredded ice/milk deserts. The venue is basic and somehow unusual. Waiting for the deserts was about 15 min but it was worth it. The price is pretty high but given the size, it can be easily shared between 2-3 people. The King Charles had visited the venue, so there were photos everywhere. We ordered Orio, Mango and Matcha. Each was delicious. The base is the same for all but the difference is in added toppings and syrup and ice cream ball on the top. It is must try butbi wish the setting was a bit classie .

Very nice range of Asian desserts. I tried the mango bingsoo and although the portion was huge it was very light and not too sweet. They also have a fun Photo Booth you can try!

Great flavour selection on their bingsoo. They also now offer takeaway bingsoo in a cup! Savoury and other desserts are also available with a wide range of coffees, teas and frappe. And a bonus, there's also a photobooth!

We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day with our family, amazing desserts (recommend the Oreo cake, blueberry cake, earl grey croffle and mango bingsoo). The staff are so helpful and polite and add to the lovely experience. Also really recommend the kimchi panini! It was so delicious!! There is a fun little photo booth there too with cute frames and accessories. It was very busy on the Saturday so I’d recommend going earlier then to make sure you can pick your favourite flavour

they raise their prices too often, please lower the prices inconsiderate

The bingsoo there is really delicious and the red bean pancakes were so nice ^^. The staff at the time were really helpful and nice! The bathroom was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The only bad part was that the tables aren't always cleaned up as there is a lack of staff and there was no space to put my dirty plates as it was stacked and full with other dirty plates.

The Bingsoo are amazing adding condensed milk is a must, but what surprised me the most was the high quality coffee. I tried a cappuccino and was out of this world.

Delicious cake and coffee! Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was pretty packed so got my stuff to go - if you want a seat I recommend arriving earlier as it is a popular spot 😊

Love this place, the matcha and the cakes hit every time. The only thing I'd say is that it's become very loud the last few months, the music is so loud that I can't concentrate on the conversations I am having.

Awful service, if you don’t buy a large bingsoo you’re not allowed to sit inside. Despite wanting to purchase others drinks it was still a no.

Few times when I’ve been there they didn’t let me to sit inside becuase I’m not ordering the large size ! They call themselves dogs friendly and when you ask for a bowl of water for the dog they say no , i tried few more times to go and was the same bad costumer service ! Awful !! Next cafe on the opposite road are more amazing and friendly and guess what ? If they they say are dogs friendly they do give you a bowl of water for you’re dog and a treat !

Local Korean style cafe. Busy on weekends. Table was not very clean, staff were focus on serving foods and drinks.

The mango bingsoo is to die for. It was a huge quantity and I shared with a friend. 10/10. Such a unique texture

Love the ambiance and vibes here, restrooms are clean, the tables are cleaned regularly, the matcha Latte was good and i enjoyed it 💕 I havent tried any cakes but they have an assortment/variety of different flavors. From tea to coffee, cakes, bingsoo (korean shaved ice), and croffles, perfect place to hangout or to chat!

I’ve been going here for years and I wish it was always a hidden gem haha. It’s so busy 7 days a week and rightfully so. The food and drink is always great and I love the photo booth they have!

We had a matcha bingsoo. The shaved milk ice was soooo good. Perfect combo with the matcha flavour and the sweet red beans are nice too. The portion is quite huge, maybe can even share with 4 people if you don’t eat that much sweets. But definitely share with another person I would recommend. Would love to try other flavours next time. The cafe is always popular and busy but no long queue, just might need to wait a bit if there’s no seating.

Actually my first time having Bingsoo after a long, long time and didn't realise theyve got cup versions for takeaway. Which is probably more appropriate as I presume it will also be less messy. These were our orders yesterday and it was packed in a bag, without any wipe off and the bag was covered in sticky matcha inside, and out. The ice lacks the moreish invite from the condensed milk and the matcha was really a mess. The mango pieces were very sour. Both portions are generous but just lacking that basic device and finesse

Had a delightful experience at Cake & Bingsoo Cafe. The selection of desserts was both visually stunning and tantalizing to the taste buds. The cappuccino was delicious, a perfect treat for any day. The atmosphere was cozy, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and catching up with friends. Definitely a hidden gem that's worth multiple visits!

I've been many times in the past couple of years. The bingsoo is still great and the addition of the photobooth is nice.

This is really nice little cafe. However you are given a number and if the place is busy then you will not be able to hear your number being called. Also the decaffeinate americano was very bitter. The matcha gelato was really nice

My go to place for bingsoo! Haven't tried anything better in the UK. Can get crowded even in cold days. Parking is limited but you can drive around the block to find a space. Update: 23/09/23 Always a nice experience at Cake & Bingsoo! So far I find the Bingsoo consistent on size and design. Maybe a uncontrollable would be how sweet the fruits are. So far, I wish there was a loyalty card or something 😁

I love going to Bingsoo. I have been going with my family for several years and we even love taking friends who visit us from other places. The ice creams are great as is their variety of cakes. I am still a regular customer, however, the coffee is no longer the same and on several occasions I have received watered down and cold coffee. I wouldn't want to say it here, but they should be more aware of the cleanliness of the tables and the bathroom. Another point is to find a nice way to indicate that the order is ready, because shouting the numbers is not good, neither for the customer nor for the employee.

They do good bingsoo here and the portion sizes are decent. I would recommend you ask for the bingsoo without the spray type cream as I find the spray type cream not to my taste. The fruit used in the bingsoo is delicious and fresh every time I have been here. The coffee is tasty here too, it reminds me of s.korea, definitely worth a visit for bingsoo. They could do with cleaning the tables and employing a very cheap and simple pager system to let you know when your food is ready.

We took the strawberry bingsu which definitely was a mistake, they used frozen strawberries. I would recommend other types. The espresso was very very bitter. Nice place and atmosphere anyhow…

Love the mango bingsoo. Its the best dessert after dinner. The large size Americano is cheap and high quality, only £2.7. In terms of service, sorry there was NO service at all! And be prepared that the tables and chairs are dirty, and you might need to clean them yourself.

Travelled all the way to malden to have it. Did not disappoint! Large serving with loads of fruits even underneath the shaved ice!

The bingsoo (korean-style shaved ice) is the perfect way to cool down on a hot day!

Portions are designed to share between 2-3 people but the bingsoo is really good and priced really reasonably.

We had green tea and mango bingsoo, it’s like marshmallow melted in your mouth. Will try other flavours next time~

Nice Matcha and red bean bingsu!

The mango was good. The strawberry one wasn't so good, turned the shavings into bits of ice?

The bingsu is good however they are really big portions (one can be shared by two people) yet this wasn’t explained to us by the staff member who took our order. This meant that we ended up ordering two bingsus which we couldn’t finish.

I have been a regular for over a year as I love my matcha bingsoo. But since the change and the introduction of the new matcha bingsoo must admit not the same.

Foods are great, and all the staff are pretty, I thought I was in heaven.

Beautiful bingsoo - I always go for the mango. But love the matcha and original as well. Debated whether to give a poor rating so it's less busy and more chance for me to get a seat - but I couldn't bring myself to do that to such an incredible establishment. 10/5 stars. Had the croffle and panini for the first time last time I went. And they were also tasty - maybe a bit pricey though?

Went with my friend to discuss something work related and we had cake and a frappe; atmosphere was relaxing, aesthetically pleasing and staff was great. Cake was amazing however the oreo frappe wasn’t as good. Tasted only as ice and some oreo crumbs here and there. Still everything else made up for it.

The options for bingsoo are fairly limited but the portion size is generous for the price and the flavours are nice. Would recommend the matcha latte which has a strong matcha flavour and I requested oat milk which they don’t add a surplus charge for. But would recommend coming on a weekday as they tend to be busy.

This place gets very busy and packedeven during the evenings. It’s quite a shame that they don’t have a booking system in place as it is very popular. My strawberry bingsoo came with shaved milk ice, strawberry pieces drizzled in a sauce, whipped cream and topped with a strawberry flavoured sorbet. Milky, refreshing, sweet and ever so divine. It’s a lovely summer treat. I enjoyed my dalgona latte as well, not too sweet. Situated inside their cafe is a cute Photo Booth area that you can take pictures with and use cute props. Will definitely come back to try their cakes on my next New Malden trip.

Way too many customers so a lot of people end up waiting in the line for 20-30 minutes due to some customers refusing to get up and leave even after they finished with their Bingsoo, when we were finally finished with our orders and sat down in the corner, tables were dirty and sticky, we had to clean it ourselfs since staff members were too tired due to so many customers. Now the flavour on the bingsoo was a problem none of the flavour went towards the bottom of the ice. The top of bingsoo was perfect and sweet so you could imagen how disappointed me and my friends were when we got to the bottom of the bingsoo and it was just shaved melted ice with no flavour. I would Imagen to have a few taste since it was expensive and in addition the long wait and terrible cleaning done.

Great place for bingsoo. My favourite one so far is Matcha and Red Bean. Don't get me wrong, mango and strawberry also have my heart, but I felt like the fruits were a little bit sad (not freshly cut), I will still come back and have bingsoo again. I really recommend this place for anyone who loves Korean food and the environment or for someone who loves trying something new.

Good vibes . Excellent bingsoo . But bubble tea needs a lot of improvement . Pearls are over cooked and clumps. Paper straw is too small and it’s impossible to suck up tea nor pearls .extremely frustrating . it’s consistently like this so I don’t know why I keep trying . For bubble tea I’d say go somewhere else!

Lovely little dessert place and finally got to visit it with the right weather, I let you decide on the dessert itself photo, a bit annoyed they don't have the mango version on our last visit.

I would recommend the bingsoo. You can choose from a range of flavours including matcha (comes with red bean topping), Oreo and mango. The cakes are good and have a light texture. Although they also do drinks, I think you can get better much bubble tea elsewhere. The taro bubble tea was bland and the tapioca boba were stuck together in lumps so clogged up the paper straw.

I recently visited a pet-friendly cafe and tried their matcha bingsoo and oreo bingsoo, which were both delicious. What made the experience even better was being able to bring my furry friend along with me. Overall, I highly recommend this cafe for not only their tasty desserts but also for their pet-friendly atmosphere.

빙수 때문에 자주 가지만 위생 관리 매우 문제있어보임. 1. 얼음을 전용 스쿱 사용하지 않고 음료컵을 직접 넣어서 푸는 직원. 방금까지 포스에서 주문받던 손으로… 2. 파란 비닐장갑을 끼고 빙수를 만드는데 그 장갑이 음식의 위생을 위해 착용한게 아니라, 직원들 손 더러워지는 걸 막는 용도인듯. 빙수 만지던 손으로 이것저것 다 만짐. 냉장고 손잡이 부분에 시럽이며 팥이며 온갖것이 묻어서 얼룩이 덕지덕지한데, 냉장고 열어서 재료 꺼내고 그 손으로 또 빙수 만드는.. 3. 화장실 상태는 할많하안. 단체 식중독 사고 나기 전에 대책이 필요해보임. 바빠서 그런거라면 직원을 더 채용하든지 말이죠.

Relaxing place with nice coffee, cakes and bingo.

Phenomenal. My first bingsoo experience went down a treat. I must have this delicious dessert whenever I visit New Malden from now on! I shared the mango bingsoo with my two siblings which for £8 is a steal. The quality of the shaved ice is 10/10 and they are generous with their mango chunks! It really satisfied our sweet craving. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday evening.

The Bingsu was okay, but we didn't feel like it was anything special and probably would not try it again. We tried the Oreo flavour

Coffee: 1/10 - Weak and Sour! Hands down the worst coffee I've ever had in my life!! Matcha Green Tea Cake: 7/10 - Helped take away the horrible taste of my coffee Service: 1/10 - There were 3 guys working but absolutely no acknowledgement from any of them, and although there were no customers in front of us, I had to ask if we could order as the guy on the till seem preoccupied in his own thoughts… not a friendly vibe at all!) Environment: 1/10 - We went at 6:30pm and the store was filthy… every table was dirty, with droppings and stains left unattended by staff. The toilet was a state… loo roll everywhere… bin overflowing and no soap available! Makes you think that if they can’t even be bothered to clean the tables and chairs, what’s the chances that brewing equipment, cups or utensil would be cleaned?! My first and last time!

Love a good Korean cafe, and this little cafe does really good bingsoo and cakes. The bingsoo is big enough to share, and the cakes are really fluffy. We’ve been back a few times already and I keep getting their cakes (when the bingsoo is too cold for me!). Their earl grey cake and taro milkshake is good, although on the more expensive side. I wanted to try their nemo pan but that’s always sold out. Food: 8.5/10 Value: 7.5/10
