Top staff, great food ,fair price.

Accidental discovery of this place as we only came to look at the beach. Ended-up having eggs benedict and breakfasts all round. Great staff & great food. We didn't need lunch after that! There's outdoor seating when the weather is good. Lots on offer on the menu as well. Would 100% recommend. There is a normal pay car-park right next to it too.

Ok. Not a lover of Dogs in the restaurant but that's me. Food is charging restaurant prices which are a bit high. No toilets on site only public in block adjacent is not the best.

We were visiting from Australia and had a fantastic lunch down on the beach. Nearly as nice as Bondi!

Such a sad let down. It seems poorly managed. The chap at the reception on his own, was too stressed to deal with anything effectively. They serve outside, but they don't... They don't do take away, but they do, they just don't have it organised. They're fully booked, but people just sat down

Thankyou to all the staff st Billies yesterday we were a group of 8 having a special family celebration and the food drink and service were all superb - which made our moment more memorable!

Another superb lunch at Billy’s on the Beach. The fish and chips with gluten free batter was amazing. Such fresh fish, full bodied, crispy batter all over and so full of flavour. Never a disappointment. Thank you guys.

The young man on the till at the entrance was nice and welcoming. The food is good yet sometimes not hot at the time of service.but the young man dealt with the issues very well.

What a gem, or at least it could be. Slow service, lots of young staff making it all look like hardwork, when there was ample free seating indoors and circa 12 covers for drinks and a couple for food outside. Too busy was the reason was given to stop take aways too 🤷

We have been a few times, however we went today for my Dad's 60th. We were a big table of 12, however nothing was missed. All of the starters were delivered together and hot, same as the main. The servers were friendly and more than happy to go the extra mile to help out with the cake. Couldn't recommend more.

Brilliant birthday! We visited yesterday and walked the dog on the beach, then went yo Billy's. I had a window seat with view of IOW at sunset. We ate monkfish tempura (delicious), mackerel pate (plentiful) starters. Followed by fish burger (friend had not had this before and declared it a big success), monkfish curry (tasty with plenty of fresh chillies and green beans), salmon tacos and a burger. All agreed that the chips were fab too. We washed them down with a bottle of rose wine ( nice and dry) and ice cream sundaes... couldn't resist. Service was excellent given that it was very busy and the guy in charge was attentive checked on us a few times. Only very slight negative was the fishcake starter, which was a bit too soft textured. In all an excellent meal with great service and surroundings, thank you!!

Very disappointing. Dull, carelessly prepared food with grumpy service and the manager apparently about to explode with stress. I won't bother to take the whole meal apart but our 'seared' plaice was overcooked and soggy. I like my veg undercooked but the broccoli was almost raw & chewy. The little french beans were good, it would have been nice to have had more than 6.

Lovely beachfront location. Next to car park and public loos (no toilet in restaurant). Best to book a table. Friendly staff. Don't expect service to be fast as they get very busy!

Coffee was good, food ok, large portion of fish and chips and kids were happy with their fries/Mac n cheese. Friendly service.

Unexpected lovely find on a day trip to Bracklesham Bay. Had the full English which was delicious and value for money. Noted it has received a few 1-star reviews for slow service. We did wait a short while but we were relaxed and by the seaside so it didn’t matter. Staff friendly. Also dog-friendly so great after a windy beach dog walk! Would definitely return and recommend.

The place was busy on a February Saturday at the beach. I'm not surprised, at all! They welcomed well behaved people if accompanied by a dog. And it was perfect weather for a dog-walk on the beach. Culinarily we played it safe with the big breakfast, which was excellent value and perfectly cooked. It was clearly cooked to order and everything timed well. I even ate my hash brown, which in my honest opinion has no place on an English Breakfast. Discuss! Good dollop of black pudding. Paid extra, but again worth it. If I did it again, I'd ask them to slice the black pudding thinner. They could have had two slices out of the amount they served. More crispy that way? It was what we needed for a hearty brunch. Not a fan of taking photos of my grub, but take it from me, it looked and tasted just like a breakfast should. Great way to start our day out before we went back into Chichester and on to Fishbourne Roman Palace. Service was good, but relaxed, so no good if you're looking for fast food. Maybe the crowds caught them off guard with staffing levels?

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Breakfast is OK but customer service poor. They are not able to cope with busy periods which results in a long wait and the people that work there try and turn you away. Seem to be trading on their location only.

Had an OK breakfast here a while ago although the waiting time was long. On the second visit was told breakfast wasn’t being served despite the fact that there were clearly free tables. First time I’ve visited a cafe that is open but not able to take a breakfast order. It was t even that busy. Went to GOAT down the road much better service.

Only used the outside kiosk this time for a whippy ice-cream. Best around at a decent price and right by the coast. The restaurant facilities are the best in the area. Worth a visit if your in the area. Busy as ever with the good weather both inside and out.

Great coffee (including decaf), much better than expected. Slow service. Waited outside for 10 minutes for 3 takeaway coffees. But we'd still return for the coffee.

We had the fish and chips - it was amazing! Loved it. I definitely recommend you go and try for yourself.

Normally I don’t like calamari but I had amazing delicious calamari last Saturday and burgers 🍔 beautiful view and delicious food recommend it for everyone

I've been meaning to leave a review for this amazing Cafe! I booked online to take my parents out for their Diamond Wedding Anniversary - the staff at Billy's went all out, they made my family feel very welcome and looked after - we we snuggly andwarm, the logs were on the fire, the Crab was utterly delicious, I highly recommend it and the other diners were really lovely, it's like dining among old friends - it's a really unique place - so down to earth, warm, friendly and welcoming. We will be back 😘🎅

Used to be good with fresh local ingredients Now just taking advantage of its location Over sweet oats in a strange watery milk “Brown “ bread with over chilli’s avocado (what’s wrong with a local bakers ?- sough dough - granary etc Weak coffee (Americano) C’mon guys you need to up your game at these prices !

A lovely little gem of a place,right on the seafront with adjacent carpark,very popular in the summer,but also still a main attraction throughout the year, definitely worth a visit if in the area

It was a wet and very cold day outside in contrast to the warmth of the welcome received in Billy's. Great food, very knowledgable and efficient service and really good food at reasonable prices. Very highly recommended .

Six of us had the breakfast . Excellent service . Four of us had the big breakfast which was excellent and probably the best choice .Beautifully cooked and great value . The kippers not good at all . One very small kipper overcooked and more expensive than the big breakfast . Bread a bit boring too . The Squeaky breakfast which is bubble and steak was average . Advice stick to the big breakfast !

First time here, had Moules Frites. Delicious.

We were in a party of 5 and the service was outstanding. The food was amazing. It was very busy but the atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend. 5* for a lunch out with great people and staff

My first visit did not disappoint. Avocado on toast with poached eggs. Superb bread. Avocado perfectly spiced. Eggs spot on. Flat white coffee didn't look like the usual flat white, but blimey it was the best flat white I've ever had! We visited on Remembrance Sunday and we were very pleased that the staff reminded us that the two minute silence would be observed.

On a clear sunny November day it was perfect for lunch and a beach side walk.

Lovely sunny morning so decided to go out for breakfast. We had a lovely table overlooking the sea and, as we were both very hungry, we opted for the big cooked breakfast. Absolutely delicious and no complaints at all. Service very good and friendly. We will certainly come back!

Sat in the window on a gloriously sunny day, fire on. Idyllic start! Fresh oj’s all round - delish. Pancake with Nutella arrives doused in cheapest chocolate syrup as “decoration”. Sent back. Cooked breakfast - bacon undercooked and mushrooms hard. All food tepid, not hot. Menu advertised bread as fresh from local baker. If Tesco Stockwell is the local baker, this would be true! Overall, poor ingredients, poorly prepared, nice setting.

Very disappointing. No food to be served at 11:30. Staff quite rude! Settled for just tea as it was a cold day!

Great little place. Went for dinner and then went back the following day for lunch! Great service and delicious food right on the beach.

We turned up on spec on a busy mid-week, half-term lunchtime. Even so the lovely lady at the front desk found as a table and we both had very nice fish and chips. Sadly I was too late to partake of the moules frites, hopefully next time!

This is a great place for meals, cakes and beverages, but it is VERY popular, particularly at peak times. The adjacent car park can also get very busy.

We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning when the sun was out in late October. Food was great and service very swift. Can highly recommend the small breakfast.

You should go out of your way to eat at Billy's. Has to be the best beach side restaurant I've been to. Make sure you book at the weekend.

We met pals at Billys for locals night on Thursday evening. It was a really rough and rainy night outside. We walked in to a lovely warm Woodburner blazing away in the corner. The staff were all really welcoming and attentive. First class home made food. French onion soup we all agreed the best we had ever tasted. Chorizo and haddock croquettes, yummy, liver and bacon with black pudding, Seafood tagliatelle and Billy’s fish and chips were all excellent. Great evening. Really great winter venue, we are very lucky to have this place in Bracklesham. Well worth a visit.

Really enjoyed the lunch at Billy’s. Food was good. Josh was our server and he couldn’t be more helpful. He was lovely !! Made up for a gray rainy day by the sea.

My friend and I came for the Hawiian Beach Evening on Saturday evening, we had a lovely meal served in a relaxed atmosphere, by very warm and friendly staff. It was so good to try something different and tasty. We will definitely come again!

Right on the seaside of Bracklesham Bay, have I spelt the right? The freshest whitebait I've EVER had the joy of. But I didn't eat anything else, so the 5 stars are for the whitebait , very busy, so staff were hectic. ... wine food cakes desserts f and c , etc etc.. a great stop if you're in the area, jnsude and outside seating.

My wife and I had dinner at Billys last night. It was locals night so two courses was £16.95. I had chicken kiev and Janet had the tandoori bream. Both were great, but the fish was particularly excellent. Washed down with a decent sauv blanc! The team were friendly and helpful.

We dropped in on a sunny October weekend and they were super busy. They didn't have a table but asked us to come back in 15. They accommodated us, 2 little ones, a baby and a dog. The waiter was very funny and made us feel very welcome. Great potted crab and mussels and a beautiful view of the beach.

Tried the takeaway first, sat on the benches, lovely! Checked the menu, thought, must come back and try. Glad we did, food was first class!! Service fine and would of been 5* but for a couple of menu miss orders and the uncomfortable outdoor seating... However, deffo be back one day, well done all at Billy's...

Fantastic bistro / café with a surprisingly grown-up menu. Vital to book or you won't get in! The burgers are exceptional but one can also enjoy dishes such as crevettes, and hummus with flatbread, as well as superb fish and chips. Their cooked breakfast is also particularly good. Highly recommended!

Vegan burger one of the best I’ve actually ever had! Their sides were so well portioned and had great flavour to accompany it. A few lovely people sitting around we got to talk with. Really nice and pleasant staff ❤️ I felt really comfortable. Thank you Billy’s 🥰

Disappointing that takeaway doesn’t offer gluten free fish & chips. Only available in restaurant. But staff go the extra mile….I’d ordered while my husband parked car BUT he couldn’t find space as town packed. So team packed up our meals for me. And they stayed calm & helpful despite my flapping & being very busy. And GF fish was great. Thanks

I visited with my mum and dad, we decided to pop in and have some lunch, we had been meaning to come in for a while. We had delicious meals, beer battered fish & chips (huge), mango chicken burger & chips and pork steak, veg & roast potatoes. Great portions. We will come back, next time breakfast!

Great location for a beach bar and they have really turned it into their own. Great food and staff are attentive. With a good selection of food at affordable prices ans with views overlooking the sea it's a great venue. Would recommend and regularly revisit when I am down

There is very little choice at Bracklesham Bay for a coffee and a bite to eat. My friend and I went into Billy's and the man who we presumed was "Billy" was flapping about and certainly didnt offer us a warm welcome. We wanted to order a ploughman's and was told very abruptly that we couldnt have it as they didnt have the ingredients!! We just had a drink and left. I know we will never be back purely because it is unlikely we will be in that area again but doesnt mean that he should treat customers rudely, we felt like we were an inconvenience to him. If you should find yourself heading that way for a day out, take a picnic!

Returning from a previous excellent meal we were rather disappointed with the fish and chips meal this time. Whilst well cooked the fish had a definite ammonia taste which we narrowed down to the skin. One hopes that with the prices charged ones food experience would be better than this. Dont get me wrong Its a great location with wonderful views over the azure blue sea and we will try again and hope for a better food experience next time.

We only stopped in for takeaway coffee and cake, but were treated really well by the gentleman that served us. The food arriving at the table next to the till looked amazing. There was a choice of 6 different cakes, and the coffee was excellent. We will definately be visiting again.

We always head for this cafe when in the area, and are never dissapointed. Excellent food, and staff, and right near the beach. Even if we go to West Wittering for a day on the beach, we always head to Billy's for an evening meal. If you are going to leave it late make sure you book ahead as they get busy in the summer evenings. Well worth the extra drive. Keep it up, to all at "Billys" hope to be there again soon
