Love Bills. Been to a number of them generally on a Sunday morning and you get a great breakfast good service and certainly a meal to keep you going for the day. Well recommended.

Breakfast was awesome .. Garden plate, eggs, halloumi mushrooms smashed avocado. Tomatoes grilled peppers toast fresh pea shoots. Absolutely touched the spot! Great staff service . Loved the hot and spicy sauce made by Bill.

Staff are friendly and helpful and will go out their way to ensure your order is to your satisfaction. A great atmosphere and good selection of quality food on menu. Fun quirky decor

Food was excellent. I recommend you this place. I would also like to thank Yannis, who provided us with an amazing service. Very nice guy.

Had a lovely meal on our second visit to this Bill’s. Recognised our host from our previous visit and he was equally as friendly and pleasant. Very good food and excellent service. Having encountered a very disappointing experience at another branch before Christmas, we had reservations about eating at Bill’s again. We needn’t have worried as our faith was restored.

Arrived around 12.40 on Saturday.Waiter asked if we wanted a drink.Then a waitress asked if we wanted a drink.Said we would leave it few minutes until our 3rd and final guest arrived.On our guests arrival drinks were ordered from the waiter. They failed to arrive at the table and as such a long time had elapsed since ordering we had almost forgotten them. We asked where they were. We were told - delayed due to the bar being busy. The drinks however could be seen awaiting collection by the waiter. Added to that other customers were being served drinks having come in after us. After we had eaten he bill arrived without being requested since we had not finished our drinks.A few minutes later we received a second visit from the waiter seemingly for payment of the bill despite still having unfinished glasses of drinks in our hands.Finally there was confusion and it was proving difficult to pay the bill with cash and the remaining balance by card.Can only assume poor management or poor training or both is responsible for this type of service. I don't remember exactly what the service charge was for but reluctantly paid it despite being disappointed.Not impressed and will not be going again for a very long time.

My friend and I have an annual Christmas treat which is going to the ballet at Sadler’s Wells! This time we thought we’d go for a matinee with brunch beforehand. So we booked Bill’s in Islington. We decided to have a bottle of champagne with our brunch too! We were pretty shocked when our waiter on hearing our order first of all looked at us with incredulity and then looked at his watch!! We thought he must have been joking and laughed but he then said that where he came from you didn’t drink alcohol until 7pm! We were both bewildered by this service and felt just a little embarrassed (but not for long!). Someone needs to tell this waiter that whatever a customer orders is absolutely their choice and that champagne is actually good for turnover!! A bizarre experience for two 60+ women! If service hadn’t been included it would not have been forthcoming. A bit of customer service training required I think!!

Eaten at this restaurant a number of times, probably won’t bother again. Restaurant was virtually empty so didn’t understand why service was so slow! When food eventually came it had clearly been sat under a hot lamp for ages, not sure why, perhaps if the manager actually did some work? Instead of literally wandering aimlessly around? The speed of getting second course was also poor, perhaps it’s because they automatically charge 12.5% service charge so don’t feel the need to work for it? Anyway won’t be back.

I have been to this restaurant on a few occasions and have had a good meal either breakfast or lunch. Today’s visit was a surprise. I ordered eggs florentine for breakfast. When it arrived I noticed it had no spinach on the plate. I asked the waitress and she checked with the chef and they stated they had no spinach. She apologised. Eggs florentine without spinach is eggs on a muffin. I was charged the full price without an offer of a discount. Would it stop me going back to this restaurant, probably not. But I will ask next time if there is any spinach available.

I've rated this Bill's branch 5 out of 5 because the food was superb and the staff members who served us were very friendly. It was already almost 10 o'clock at night when we arrived (we were starving after seeing a concert at the o2 Academy) so we'd expected very fast service and then to be able to leave quickly after eating so we could catch quite an early train back to our hotel. The macaroni cheese was very nice, and my wife really enjoyed her dessert, which I think was a chocolate brownie. When we asked for the bill, however, the waiter told us "Oh there's no rush, finish your drinks first". We then didn't see him for about 10 minutes, at which point we asked again and again he told us there was no rush for us to leave. I don't know whether they were hoping we'd buy more drinks but we thought it odd that they wouldn't bring us a bill. Finally, we just stood up and walked over to the till to pay so we could leave, and we had to wait for ages because the till had already been cashed up for the night. The food was so good that we may well return, but perhaps we'll go in the middle of the day next time so that hopefully we'll be able to leave when we want to!

Loved the food, good variety of gluten free dishes and great desserts. Nice chain with a special touch. My eggs were perfectly cooked. Really good service. Very enjoyable.

At 14.39, I just walked out of Bill’s after waiting over 40 minutes for a late lunch of a warm chicken salad. At least the waiter did not accept payment for my drink and looked very embarrassed as I left, starving hungry. Clearly, this place is understaffed and unacceptable. It’s a shame as it used to be a reliable casual option, especially for multi-generational meals.

Visited on a Sunday morning. Managed to get a table for all 8 of us no problem. The food was good, expensive for what you got but tasty. One thing you need to think about is changing the streaky bacon to back bacon. The streaky bacon was very fatty.

Pressed to order drinks before we were sat down and then waited 15 minutes before they arrived.

Popped in for Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Have passed by many times but never been in due to it being busy. Loved it the food was great and the staff were so nice and friendly. Will be going back. Especially liked the look of the Christmas menu

I chose Bill’s for Sunday evening meal as it was between Angel tube station and my hotel.

Visitors for lunch on Saturday - busy but we were able to secure a table. We had a burger and also a Glow salad. The salad was excellent, and the burger was good. Service efficient.

It's 10oz Ribeye Steak was delicious and very affordable at only £20++. Best paired with either peppercorn sauce or wild mushroom sauce.

We arrived the waitress was very unfriendly. We were sat opposite the toilet staff/disabled toilets where the door opened directly on to the restaurant and where someone was changed their baby with the door open, whilst eating we were eating. We ordered drinks, but told that they are not doing smoothies. We all had burgers, one being a halloumi burger, if you can call it that. As it had four slivers of cheese in it, very mean. When we got the bill they had put service charge on of 12.5%.

Small neighborhood chain with reliable food. Fish pie was filled with salmon, cod and haddock. Fried chicken with a mushroom sauce was tasty. Total of £38 for the two mains, a Bill’s beer, and a beverage. Absolutely repeatable.

my colleagues and I went to Bills Islington for a quick lunch. all our dishes we have ordered were very enjoyable, I highly recommend the chicken mushroom! Service was quick and attentive. Staff was friendly at all time. we would definetily come back for more.

Me gustan los proyectos de ley. Solía ir a Bills Covent Garden cuando se abrió por primera vez. La decoración funciona, es rústica y generalmente hay mucha luz en los restaurantes. Sin embargo, estaba un poco decepcionado esta vez. Pedimos el risotto de cangrejo y fue muy soso. No se sentía particularmente fresco y sabroso. Tuve las salchichas con mostaza para empezar y estaban deliciosas. Lo que me lleva a creer que quizás sea más seguro elegir más platos temáticos para el desayuno como huevos / avo / tocino que opciones más exóticas.

Lovely welcoming setting, a great choice of food and staff are very tentative. Will definitely be back.

Went here for lunch time and was not disappointed. The setting is nice and has a rustic feel to it. The food is quite good. I had one of their set lunches which came with plenty of food and an awesome dessert. I can't remember what I got for an entree. The dessert was fried dough with warm chocolate and warm caramel sauce. This made the entire meal. I would recommend going to any of the Bill's locations around London.

After some heavy shopping lunch was welcome and Bills is a great place to go.

Stumbled across Bills and it was just what I needed..... Valentina recommended the calamari followed by fish pie and broccoli on the side. Great choice. With coke was under £30. Loved it. I'll let you know if I get a parking ticket!

First visit to Bill’s chain. Loved it and will definitely be dropping in the Sheffield branch closer to home. Breakfast was delicious and more than the bog standard English fayre. Staff pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend for a lazy brunch date.

Went with my son for a burger. Very nice facilities and service good. Hamburger was very good but the beer selection was poor. I would try it again if the opportunity arises.

Went with my husband for a rare date night and it was really nice. You could tell they were short staffed for a Saturday as the service was very slow. We were on the restaurant for over 30 mins before our order was taken.

The staff was very helpful and the food was delicious! It was the first time we tried Halloume and it was so good. The Fish Pie was to die for! I ate every bit of it. Would definitely recommend this place. It was off the beaten path but had great local food.

The service charge “tips” were added on to the bill. Although it’s optional, I found it embarrassing to say no I’m don’t want to pay this, so had no choice but to pay this extra. I should of been able to just leave a cash amount of my choice. I found the prices very expensive for what we had and then had to pay an extra 10%. The food itself was not impressive, small potions and not exactly how it was described on the menu. WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN

We are frequent attendees at Sadlers Wells and generally go for a meal beforehand. We thought we'd try Bills as we had previously had an enjoyable meal at the Soho branch.

2nd time in 10 weeks having brunch before a funeral nearby. Service was excellent and removed the mushrooms and requested. Staff were attentive, warm and friendly with a great amount of compassion as well. 8 can heartily recommend it.

I've been here for the first time a couple of months ago with my colleague for a recognition breakfast and I have to say that everything was extremely good!

The lunch menu was ok and rather average the service wasn't great either, at one point we had to wait with our food getting cold to try and get someone's attention for some cuttlerry to eat with.

We had a Saturday lunch booking for 7 adults and 6 children and had a great time. You would struggle to guess this was not a standalone restaurant as it retains a lot of charm and is a cosy place to spend a December afternoon. Staff were very patient, food was tasty and well priced with a broad selection to cater for all tastes. Beer and wine similarly.

We went here twice, for dinner and brunch, our hotel was nearby. Very close to Angel metro station (Northern Line). Here you can go without being afraid it's too busy. Islington is not so crowded like Piccadilly Circus for example. We loved it. Bill's feels homey. Not expensive either, fairly priced. Vegetarian breakfast was super tasty! Sticky toffee and steak were also good. Glow bowl salad excellent. Looking forward to come back.

I dined here for lunch, one November afternoon, with a work colleague.

First impressions are great, friendly welcome and a nice buzz about the place. Good choices on the menu but some things are overpriced in my opinion. Fish pie with no accompaniments was £14.00 and didn't really fill me up at all, but was tasty. Had I been informed that the meal was the size it was I would have ordered accompaniments, but by the time it came to the table it was too late. I also ordered a glass of lemonade and it came with the glass filled roughly 75% with ice. When asked for it to be replaced without ice, I received.......... half a glass! The other thing that really annoys me is that the "optional" service charge is already added to the bill. If I have received good service (which I did) then I will always tip, but I abhor the practice of assuming I want to tip by adding first it and then calling it optional.

It is a quiet restaurant in a rustic atmosphere. The Chicken Mushroom dish ( 13,95 pounds) was plentiful and tasty. Other diners ate hamburgers ( 10,95 to 12,95) .

Nice place. Looked inviting. Staff were pleasant. Was in a group of 4 people. Three of us decided on the set menu whilst the other one in our group chose the starter and burger from the other menu.

My husband and I popped in for a quick dinner on friday as we were very tired and the restaurant was close to our hotel. It was pretty quiet and we were seated immediately. I had a lovely fish pie with brocolli on the side and it was delicious! Really fresh tasting. Compliments to the chef! Service was also great, I was served by a charming blonde haried young man (Warren? I think) who was very funny and had time to chat away to us as the place was almost empty. The host was also very bubbly and welcoming. Overall a lovely night!

We popped in here on a busy saturday for a quick lunch, on my sister's hen do. There was 8 of us and we hadn't booked because of a change in our plans, and we were seated quickly no problem.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful especially with suggestions for meals that avoided allergens, specifically gluten! Great food, generous cocktails and light fun atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out for any meal!

I was staying nearby for work and needed somewhere for dinner. Nice place, very friendly and professional staff and a delicious chicken burger made for a very pleasant meal and i didnt feel out of place eating alone. Great choice on the menu and felt like a step above a usual chain.

You can find good food in lots of places in London but friendly staff are a rarity. Rosie(?) served my son and I and spent time having a chat with us about the difference between some Londoners and Northeners . She goes to Leeds Uni so had some knowledge .

What a lovely restaurant. It was my 1st Wedding Anniversary, so I thought I’d treat my husband to a nice afternoon meal out. The staff were amazing from start to finish. We had 3 courses. Starter.

I’m a fan of Bill’s Restaurant and I’ve tried a couple of them in London. The food is always great but I this time I was disappointed... although the menu is the same as other Bill’s the food presentation was less pretty. It’s the small details that I didn’t find in this particular restaurant.

To be fair we were a very large party but the service was pretty slow. They seemed to be almost deliberately stalling on moving us on through the courses in preference for taking further drink orders... in the end we had to ask for menus to select dessert ..

Met with friends here for lunch today after going to the crystal maze which is a few doors up. They accommodates us as a group of 5 with some potential late comers. Food was fresh, hot and good, puddings were great! But our desserts took a long while to come out, we didn’t complain as we weren’t in a rush and when they did come the manager apologised to us for the wait and said she’s deducted a dessert and some drinks from the bill which was great. Would definitely eat here again, relaxed and positive atmosphere.

We had a very good lunch. The quality and the taste of the meat in our hamburgers was excellent. A lot of mashed avocado served with my avocado burger. Really enjoyed our meal.

I've been a regular at Biil's but this Islington restaurant stands out when it comes to excellent service!! The food is great as always at Bill's-highly recommended for Sunday brunches!!

Have used this restaurant before and to be fair was nice as often stay just round the corner in business, tonight arrived starving one minute past ten and told one minute too late for food but can still give me a drink . Won’t ever eat there again. Clearly some of the staff need retraining

Yo no comería allí. Comida fría, regresar y prometió un reemplazo. Se enfriaba la comida y mover el brécol para ocultar el pedazo de pollo que había cortado de la mama. Luego dijo que tenían binned dos personal. Si es así realmente sorprendido la primera pieza de la misma forma era como la que regresar y que la presentación ha alterado, por ejemplo situar la verduras en la parte superior de la carne! Caro para el mal servicio y porciones pequeñas. Estoy contactando a la oficina principal para protestar.

Atendieron con mis hijos y mi marido para celebrar mi cumpleaños con almuerzo. La comida era deliciosa. El restaurante fue atmosférico, pero tenía un ambiente encantador y relajante. Tuve la pila, mi esposo tenía pancake el desayuno completo y mi hijo sólo tenía cosas separadas; bacon, papa rosti y tostadas. El bebé dormía tranquilamente también me trató a un brownie batido! Fue maravilloso! ! Realmente disfrutamos de esta visita y esperamos volver pronto.

Llegamos antes de que llena, sabiendo de nuestros visitas a Bill que no tiene ni idea, y cosas desilusión una vez cuatro o cinco mesas están ocupadas.

Went there yesterday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. The macaroni cheese was brilliant, chicken skeweres fantastic, and the chicken ceaser salad the best of the lot.

Popped in for a quick coffee and something to eat. I was in a rush due to an appointment but they were able to accomodate after I explained. Great coffee and the eggs benadict was fantastic!

Nice sunny day. Sat outside. Service with a smile and prompt. I had the chicken ceasar salad which was tasty and different as its served with a poached egg. All staff were super friendly and welcoming.

Interesante, restaurante de moda. Pedí un té de menta, me dieron un vaso con agua caliente derramado sobre grandes hojas, menta fresca. En realidad estaba bien. La decoración y la cocina es una fusión de estilo colonial del Caribe y moderno y hay una interesante área de descanso que combina coloridos tapices de seda con redes de pesca y grupos de chili. La comida era bastante buena. Yo no era un fan de la lentejas y kale que tenía, necesitaba algo para contrarrestar la amargura de la kale, pero el pescado era excelente. Parece, mi hijo se caracterizan este restaurante como "plena. "

Se trata de un pequeño restaurante que también vende productos "gourmet" como chutneys, aceitunas, limonadas, cervezas, etc. Tiene un menú diario que está bastante bien y las opciones en carta son estilo pub. Está bien. De lo mejor que hay por la zona.

Popped in for brunch before The Crystal Maze and was fab. Great staff and food. We precooked as there were 7 of us.

Fui como 5 para un brunch a las 11 de la mañana. Muy concurrido, me alegro de haber reservado la mesa como una espera de 30 minutos para caminar. Justo al lado del laberinto de cristal, lo cual es bueno. La comida era muy buena y no me puedo quejar. 5 desayunos además de una bebida caliente. £57 en total, así que no está mal para los precios de Londres.

Esta es la segunda vez que he estado aquí y ya me encanta. Tuvimos una comida de tres platos y fue delicioso. Las camareras eran muy bonitas. Nos dieron una gran mesa y mi padre me hizo algunas preguntas sobre el menú y me las contestaron amablemente. Bill Islington es excelente.

We have been to Bills Islington many times. Usually for brunch/lunch. The food is usually well cooked and succulent. The service is good and great ambience! Today one order on our table was slightly wrong( wrong type of fries) but also the burger was cold! When it was pointed out to the serving guys, the apologies came from all corners including the head chef! What an amazing service particularly as in the end the burger was given FREE! That’s the kind of service which, I believe, is pure class.

We came in and missed the hostess who was seating another customer, and instead ignored, so we wandered in and found a table, moved to a comfy couch, and the waitress wasn't having it. She wouldn't have us in the main restaurant either because we needed a high chair and she was making a strong point that she wouldn't be able to move freely if a high chair was at a table.

Never heard of this chain before and came across it when on a weekend to London. Had 3 lovely courses, gorgeous wine, great atmosphere, great staff and service. Could not fault it!

Compartimos un mezze entrantes y sencilla para que luego nos aventuramos por un pastel de pescado de un menú diseñado para entusiasmar a los jóvenes más que el largo. Fue soso y sólo se animaba con la salsa de mantequilla han ayudado al paladar, que si no la línea.
