Love this place, great food, great service, fairly priced. Only down side, no dogs allowed. Shame, when most establishments now allow dogs, can’t understand why a farm house cafe would ban man’s best friend?!

Back again for breakfast, had takeaway, food is lovely, although would like sausages to be a bit better quality, doesn't take from the fact that the food is great, staff are so friendly and helpful, well done to you all, we will be back again!

Lovely breakfast, everything nice and fresh. One member of staff had terrible attitude due to us sitting at a table that had not been cleaned, instead off being polite and saying to us, would you mind please if I clean the table. She said could you move as it's our policy to clean tables. Not very nice at all. They need to employ more staff in my opinion, to keep on top off cleaning the tables.

Not nice food. I had the breakfast muffin. The plate was very hot making me think the whole thing was assembled and then microwaved. Muffin was dry as there was no butter on it.hash brown from supermarket. A kraft cheese slice( didn't think they still existed). Egg was rubbery probably cooked on Monday and reheated. Sausage patty was greasy and tastless. I really didn't think a breakfast muffin could be worse than McDonald's. I was wrong. The staff however were great, friendly and really efficient. Oh and the latte was very nice.

Fantastic full English breakfast! Food was served in very quickly after ordering, staff were very friendly. Very cosy atmosphere with plenty of parking at the front of the cafe. Seating can be either outside or inside and they have vegetarian/ gluten free options for breakfast which was a bonus!

absolutely appalled by the way the staff treated my elderly gran. my grandparents absolutely adore Bill Rimmers and frequent this place weekly, but yesterday had made them never want to return. my grandfather has bad knees and has trouble walking, and my grandmother is recovering from cancer. they asked the young girl serving if she knew the soup of the day, and she replied 'i dont know, go to the till and find out' with a dismissive hand wave! so when my 70 year old grandmother went to the till, she asked the soup and was pointed to a sign with no reply. Then when she asked 'i know you're very busy, but would it be too much to ask if the chef could maybe make me an omlette?' as she has very limited taste buds and eggs are the only enjoyable food, a middle aged waitress popped up out of nowhere and said 'NO omlettes today. 45 minute wait on food, so you can stay or go'. since when was it hospitable to speak to customers this way? im absolutely disgusted. i completely understand staff being stressed, tired, busy etc but theres no reason whatsoever to behave like that! will not be returning.

First visit today as there was a big queue in Dobbies so we decided to try Rimmers. We had bacon butties and a drink each. V Covid aware and staff well trained. Lovely and cosy in there although busy not an unreasonable wait for our order. We will definitely go back! Food well cooked and exceptional value for money!

Despite the food being good as ever, I won't be returning.Completely over the top signage. Walk this way, do this, don't do that, you need to order on a app but you don't and photocopied posters all over the place about putting on a mask whilst walking about; woe betide you if you don't!Never has the customer felt so unwelcome.Tone it down.You were only a quarter full and that's with a number of tables removed.Any other 'normal Friday we would've struggled to get a table. They take cards now as well!! After all the years of strictly no cards. I would have laughed if I hadn't been so sad.

Well I thought I come and try Bill Rimmers place for breaky, I've heard alot of people saying how great it was.Location of course not in or near town direction, its just slightly opposite Dobbies.Didn't know I had to ring up and book myself a table but didn't have to wait too long which was fine as wasn't in a hurry.I got a table over looking the hen pen which was nice, I was sat near the kitchen (see last pic)I tried the large breakfast with a Coffee, I was not too impress with the coffee cup as the little handle was useless, you can't get a finger through it, so it wasn't that great, no point having it on if you can't use it.The breakfast was really lovely, usually I would have fried egg but this came with an option of scramble and Poached, so I decided on poached.Everything was great, but.... my breaky went cool very quickly, I would assume it was because I was sat facing the kitchen and that they had the kitchen door open (see last Pic).My suggestion would be to have a divider just to block that part, but still have the room to go in and out.The staff was really welcoming and lovely. I would come again as the lunch menu looks great also.Thank you

What an excellent cafe. Been for the first time today and it won't be my last. Really pleasant staff and are a real credit to their employer. The service that they provided was absolutely superb and nothing was to much trouble for them. From ordering our food it arrived at our table in no time at and I was really impressed with this and also the quality of the food which was excellent.

Heard great things about this place so maybe we were unlucky on our first visit. Firstly the staff are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. However food wasnt great. I had Eggs Benedict which was really not great and egg yolks were hard. The main thing that bothered us though was the awful smell of grease in the place. They really need to sort out the extraction fan as we found it really sickening.

Stopped in for breakfast and had the farmers breakfast, lovely food and great amenities.

Always have Sunday breakfast at Bill Rimmers

Came here for the first time a month ago and have been back most sundays since. Breakfast is great, not too greasy and the staff are great too, always smiling and it’s nice and organised.Moving to the area in the near future so will definitely be coming a lot more regularly.

We called into the Cafe Section at the Farm Shop with some Cycling Friends, and i have to say it was excellent. The Staff were very friendly and helpfull, the food choices were great has was the service we recieved, and the prices well that was a surprise being very reasonable. Definately worth paying a visit of you are in the area and we will for sure be back many times throughout the year. The Jacket Potato with Veg Chilli was great value for money.

Having never been to Bill Rimmer`s before, I persuaded my "veggie" friend, Debbie, to join me for brunch at 10am.It`s situated in Kew, near to the large Dobbies Garden & Outdoor store, so a car is really needed to get there.Just set back from the main road our car journey from Birkdale Village was quick & easy.Inside, it is large, spacious and comfortable, with a cosy "country farm" type theme - aided by real-life chickens roaming around in a pen right outside the window. You really do feel you are in the West Lancashire countryside!We ordered from the menu and our brunches were served to us promptly - one vegetarian breakfast and for me a "Farmhouse Full English" (at £5.50) which included 2 rounds of toast.For a very reasonable on-coast, a tea or coffee can be included.The food was freshly cooked, with quality produce and quite tasty!Debbie said her accompanying coffee was delicious and, as if to prove her point, she orderd a second cup.The open-plan kitchen at the back of the restaurant area shows the management`s confidence in their operation.Service staff were efficient and friendly.It was a pleasure to dine here.I` guessing that many of the customers were regulars here.The prices seemed very fair, whether for the wide range of breakfasts, or for the lunchtime dishes and desserts.Another of Southport`s "hidden gems". Well worth visiting - recommended!PRO TIP: park directly outside the restaurant in their car park for free.

Excellent from start to finish, all staff are a credit to the business, great choice of food and good quality produce cooked beautifully. cold drinks are cold which is a rarity and tea is hot with a tea cosy on the pot so your second cup is hot too - a definate rarity!! You even get a loyalty card for your hot drinks. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly no matter how busy it is and service does not falter. Tables are cleared promptly but without you feeling rushed. Very pleased to have found this place - prices are very reasonable too.

Have driven past Bill Rimmer's countless times, and discounted it as yet another poor quality overpriced farm shop/garden centre. How wrong I was! We dropped by for tea a cake, just to test the waters. Pleasant, polite staff took the order, and produced it to the table in record time. There was a wide variety of cake on offer, and it was most delicious, and the provision of a tea cosy was a wonderful surprise for someone who doesn't appreciate cold tea. Thought there had been a mistake on the bill, but no - you get this good food at a very modest price. So we went back for brunch. They did not let us, or themselves, down. Despite being busy, we were served quickly and politely. The food was unpretensious, but fresh, good-tasting, and HOT. All served with a sunny smile. Well done.

Poor customer care, Attitude from 2 staff members,Chilli beef in jacket potato, portion of chilli very small hardly any beef, very watery tomato based sauce, when a waitress was informed, she shrugged her shoulders and said that was the portion size? She did not inform the chef or contact another member of staff.Other member of staff on the till has low customer care, she’s recently had a baby I believe.My mum in law chose a cooked breakfast but didn’t want baked beans, hash brown, tomato. We were told we had to buy a portion of mushrooms, even though we had paid for 3 portions of the above, strange customer care?We are now in the 21st century, payment cards really should be used. Who pays cash these days, even at a post office you can by a stamp using payment cards!I really am not going to return, I must say the cafe is lovely, toilets clean, most of the staff very nice, just 2 persons let it down.

Had lunch with family. We ordered hot pot and chilli con carne with rice and tea for 3. Food was served quickly portion was reasonable size especially for price. Service nice and friendly

The Classic Farmers Full English was perfect! Served all day, Great value and excellent service. Love the renovations and new interior, family have been coming here for years and love it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a grade-A local farm shop with tasty treats and gifts. My Partner had The Welsh rarebit and she said it was “well nice” apparently. Being a veggie, she also thought that they could maybe improve on their veggie/vegan options but still a great menu. Thankyou

Best ‘Full English’ I’ve ever had. Brilliant piping hot food at unbelievable low prices. The decor is that of a large cafe and is fairly basic - but adequate. Good service by smiling (that’s novel these days) staff. Plenty car parking space. Well worth a visit.

Staff were very unhelpful, found a massive egg shell in my breakfast and 2 missing black puddings, I then alert the waitress, she goes in to the back room has a conversation meanwhile no apology has been made. 5 minutes later she comes back to me with £1.50 for the missing black puddings and tells me I should have said something earlier as if I was supposed to know before I got to my poached eggs that there would be several chunks of shell within. During all this the only thing I received was an insulting £1.50 for a ruined breakfast with a side order of shell.

Lovely fresh cooked food , friendly staff great atmosphere, plenty of parking the only complaint I'd make is because of how busy it always is food takes up to an hour to come , we had finished our drinks well before our food and also take cash as there is no card payment facility

Went for a bite to eat as was recommended.Never again.Decided to have the all day breakfast told the girl on the counter i dont like beans or tomatoes can i change them for something else. I. E. egg mushrooms or whatever. '' we cant do that as its a set menu, BUT you can add items at a charge '' oh really erm i dont think so. Funny really because i went to a cafe /bistro the next morning in Southport and when i asked for a full English breakfast but without beans and sausage the girl said without me even mentioning it '' thats fine sir would you like anything to replace them '' AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.... AND it was a SET MENU.!!!!! My Father in law ordered fish and chips. What turned up was a piece of frozen fish that you buy at a supermarket not fresh fish about 6 home made soggy chips and small dollop of mushey peas.He was gutted as he loves fresh fish.As we sat and ate are lovely meals all i could here from the kitchen was the sound of '' ping ping ping '' yes you have guessed it. Most of the food is microwaved.So unfortunately i wont be back here again. I can cook microwave food at home at half the cost or less.

Appointment in Birkdale and where to go after for drink and snack, obviously Rimmer’s. Excellent Welsh Rarebit, Mug of White Coffee and Pot of tea. Pot had a tea cosy on to keep warm. All for just over £7. Give it a try!

Whats not to love,amazing staff, great food and well priced. The food is all freshly cooked and served hot. Cream tea is wonderful too.
