First Pint pulled by new bar staff on their first shift. Both staff and beer were great. Happy Lives

Nicely refurbished bar, nice atmosphere and beers on tap.

The beer is very delicious but the snack they charge you for 3 pounds is stingy

Had a good laugh and after 4 or 5 jaffa cake shots I'm glad the digs were just over the road. Nice staff,great atmosphere...recommended by the 3 geordie nutters

Ein sehr schönes Pub, ein Kronjuwel für das menschliche Auge. Das tröstet dennoch nicht über die horrenden Preise hinweg. Besucht haben wir das Pub in einer kleinen Gruppe. Insgesamt haben wir 15 Biere getrunken (verschiedene Sorten), welche in 5er Runden geholt wurden. Gezahlt haben wir für das Vergehen fast 150£. Hat aber geschmeckt also war oke.

Being refurbished when we went staff were really good not to many people in but great tunes being played we didn't eat.

Enough seating in the booths at the back to accommodate small and medium size groups. Good selection of different types of beers and good selection of alcohol free beers as well.

Knowledgeable staff and a great atmosphere. There are even plugs at the booths if you need to charge.

Great little bar. Amazing choice of drinks and the staff are so friendly. The locals also are very chatty and friendly. Made you feel at home. Would go back if I find myself in Edinburgh again

It's quite a place , and I'm glad I went there for a pint of German pilsners, It's kinda pricey but worth a try and bartender there was so lovely to talk to. The crowd was so amazing to be described. It's complete a vibe there and believe me there glass are unique, you get a feel of Belgian bier

Go here if you're looking for a pub that offers something a bit different. Funky decor and an interesting range of continental beers. Staff were very friendly!

Was tea time Saturday pretty busy Beers I hadn't seen before. I was recommended a Belgium beer buy the staff then I tried a few more.

Without a doubt, the best place to go for a small glass of wine! The small plates are also just perfect pairings with your drink, great date spot too :)

Never have any of the beers on the board actually in stock or on tap - no loo roll either - don’t waste your time, better pubs for Belgian and German beer in Edinburgh

I come here regularly and am always greeted by welcoming staff who allow my cat to join me at the bar. Great drinks selection and area! Manager Kieran is always kind and lovely to anyone who comes in for a pint

Amazing food, definitely recommend their dirty burger. Drinks were the best price since iv arrived (£5 for a porter) and amazingly friendly staff (especially the cute ginger guy behind the bar who helped us with my allergies and recommended other places for us to go that night), amazing atmosphere also

Staff could not have been more helpful. Loved the booth seating. Pity they don't or cannot stock British beer as opposed to continental. That said you can taste the various drafts. Well done.

Previously 5 stars, now 2 because we couldnt taste the menu that they advertise as "best burger in edinburgh" wasnt running anymore at 7.50 because the chef left early due to not receiving enough orders. Never heard of that before in my life.

We ordered burgers, fries & chicken wings for 9 of us and the food was absolutely superb washed down with quality draft German bier. Great pub and atmosphere bar staff really looked after us. If your a fan of burgers then you got to try this place we will definitely return on our next trip to Edinburgh

Recently went to Bier House Great selection of beers great atmosphere however really let down by the food. Burger was really under cooked and really salty. Think same chef from dirty. Won't be going back

They stop serving German food, what is a pity. But they have a nice bier selection and will have burgers and tacos in the future.

Saw this place at night . The signage looked a bit.. erm tacky and over the top but once inside a delight.

Place is expensive which is expected with imported beers but it was mostly the stag party which ruined the experience drunk and aggressive and no signs of them being asked to removed. Other than that the place was nice and clean.

Good beer, good COVID precautions

The bartender serving us tonight (young male) was so attentive and lovely! Really made our night and set a lovely atmosphere.

Our group stopped in here for a drink on a night out in Edinburgh. Because of the covid we had to sign in and were limited to 2 hours, however the barman did say if it stays quiet we could stay longer. The beer, cider and gins were usual for Edinburgh but some of the beer was unavailable and they had ran out of lemonade. Staff were great, nice place to sit for a drink.

First draught beer in months and it lived up to expectations

Curryfurst was superb and would have got 5 stars if all beers were available.

There's a selection of German beers and an interesting ambience. It shows the big sporting events too, if that's your thing. I thought the drinks were a little expensive and I didn't appreciate urinating by candlelight 🕯️. It has a good reputation in the area and I would consider going back.

Amazing imported beers from Germany and Belgium, as well as currywurst to satisfy that hunger. Pub Quiz on a Sunday as well. Not to be missed!

Nice pub with character, reasonably priced drinks. We had a great time on New Year's Eve!

This pub has a bit of history on its back. The two doors were strategically positioned where the old border between Edinburgh and Leith was a long time ago so when Edinburgh regulations for pubs regarding opening and closing hours were in effect, customers could leave the Edinburgh's side and re-enter front Leith side. If you are down Leith Walk, have a pint here
