Great pastries are baked fresh throughout the day. Coffee to go and outside seating is available. This shop cafe combination also stocks imported Bulgarian products including food and wine, it is well used by local people.

Called in here for a coffee on Tuesday with my mother ...can't tell you enough how very helpful and friendly the staff are especially staff member Ryan... We didn't realise that the breakfast menu was over ...but Ryan went to ask the chief if he wouldn't made making us some bacon sandwich which was no problem at all ...wish to thank you all for going out your way for us ...its a wonderful comfortable place ..you must give Albie's a visit the food is and looks amazing all freshly cooked and well presented... We shell definitely return.. Made us so welcoming ..

Delicious hot pastries and great for difficult to find Bulgarian foods

This is the best thing about Nottingham, as far as I have seen in 2+ years of visiting, go there for authentic Bulgarian pastries and delicacies with a friendly service from Mr BG!

Great place. Through the week they make lovely stuffed breads and pizza. Personal favourite the feta cheese stuffed bread, sort of a bread/croissant stuffed with feta. Yum yum yum. At weekends they have cakes. Very friendly and welcoming staff and very reasonable pricing. The feta cheese bread was £1.60 and is pretty big and well enough for two (or a very greedy one). Parking is just around the corner in the shoppers car park, free for two hours. I’ll be back on Saturday for yummy cakes!

Lovely coffee Lovely fresh food

Every time we go to Nottingham (we live about 150 miles away) we pop into this little shop. Bakes are so amazing, we always get the banitza with cheese. And if we fancy something else. Our favourite lutenitza is there, kiopoolu and all those goodies I know from my childhood.

The food is fresh and extremely tasty! The personal is also very welcoming. There are significant Bulgarian baked goods such as banitsa, as well as Bulgarian foods to buy (Bulgarian yoghurt, Bulgarian cheese, various salami, snacks). Low prices for the quality and service you receive, I believe they could charge a bit more! I highly recommend!

Tried for the first time the other day and was very impressed with food

Great products.... Good prices. To many people smoking outside! Doesn't give a good image! Also what looked like an owner just laid across the counter playing on his mobile while a young girl worked hard on the counter. He really should be helping when it gets busy. Some serious customer service skills are missing! But the banitza was very good, as always.

Best pizza in Carlton - always get lunch there when I'm working and it's great

Piccola caffetteria e gastronomia con prodotti tipici della Bulgaria. Proprietario simpatico e cortese. Non ho avuto modo di assaggiare le bevande calde, ma il pane è buono. Ho anche acquistato un ottimo salamino e sono stata molto contenta di trovare la pasta fillo, difficile da reperire altrimenti in un comune supermarket.

Great bulgarian style breakfast

Only been once small selection of breads savoury and sweet. Pizza and coffee. Fridge had meats. Overall was ok for price. Have to return to see if their selection is bigger earlier in the day. All look fresh baked.

Popped in for the first time while waiting for my bank to open and was absolutely amazed ,great,welcoming customer service and food - a true Nottinghams hidden gem, fresh, authentic and so tasty, will be definitely coming back to try it all!

Nice little place for something different. Believe to be the only Bulgarian shop/cafe I know of and was handy for a few things I needed.

Lucky for me this place is local. Carlton hill no Greggs or birds and only a few cob shop and they are not always open, BG bakery is amazing great value, lovely food and very pleasant nice staff. Go at least once a week love it
