This cute and quiet little restaurant is superb. A wide selection of dishes and a very friendly and fast service. Would highly recommend. The quality and size of the dishes were excellent considering the prices. Definitely going to return!

I’ve eaten in here a couple of times recently - once for an impromptu dinner and the other was for lunch. Both times the food and the service was really good, and it’s decent value too (they have some good deals on). definitely worth a visit.

Seen some rubbish reviews on here, so thought I’d balance it out for Bexley Kitchen. We had Sunday lunch here with family recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate from the Sunday lunch menu, which looks limited but was good value for money and the food was delicious. Between the four of us we had a variety from each of the three courses, and everything was good. All beautifully presented, everything was hot enough, absolutely no complaints at all. Well done Bexley Kitchen, and thank you!

Very confused by the reviews on this site. £12 for a overcooked hockey stick of a burger (the kind you buy as a frozen patty) I've had better out of a van at a car boot sale. My husband's carbonara was like someone bought a ready meal from Iceland, dumped a shaker full of salt over it, and microwaved it. Appalling food. The staff were nice. But OMG, the food, especially for the price, was offensive.

We went with high hopes for a romantic meal. The (three) scallops were AWFUL, the tagliatelle saltier and ranker than a Sainsbury frozen meal, and my wife's burger looked like a Wimpy reject, and, she says, tasted as much. Oh, they're very nice people. But its 4.5 star ranking on TripAdvisor is so wildly out of the galaxy of our own experience that I just think the people of Bexley should get out more.

We have visited Bexley Kitchen regularly over the last year. The service and food are faultless every single time. It’s well worth a visit and definitely worth getting the steak. The team there are lovely, always helpful and friendly, nothing is ever too much.

Bexley Kitchen did not disappoint, friendly staff, excellent food, good value would recommend. Sea bass was delicious as was the crispy duck salad and Juicy Lucy Burger, no room for dessert!

Wanted somewhere casual and cosy to meet up and have lunch with an old friend, near where they live. Bexley Kitchen turned out to be perfect. Small venue, with welcoming friendly waitress, and clean and well placed set tables. We had fish for our main courses, swordfish and monkfish. Both can be tricky to cook and can dry out easily. These were fresh off the grill and very well cooked indeed, seared and juicy. Desserts were simple, but of nice quality and rounded the meal off well. Wines keenly priced too. We can recommend Bexley Kitchen with confidence!

Prices can be a little more than your average. Every things came out fresh. The mushroom and cheese starter was way too salty I do not recommend. The sea bass was LOVLEY. Restaurant is extremely small probably only had 8 seats inside. Calamari was nice an soft.

What a difference. A really welcoming small family restaurant. Tried to get in Miller and Carter and they turned us away. Check my review!!. Really nice people here food was amazing. My wife had the steak I had the kleftiko my son the monkfish. Come here instead. We will be back.

Fantastic food, lovely service, can't fault.

Had a lunch date here during a weekday and was very pleased with the service and the food. The set lunch menu had fewer options than shown in the menu on the website but was quite diverse nonetheless. Some items were a bit on the pricier side but the taste and flavours make up for it. Definitely recommend.

Had numerous visits to this great little restaurant. Lovely welcome from staff as always. Delicious meat and vegetarian burgers. New dishes on menu would be good to see!

Great food great service Little gem

Had booked a table for four for a Saturday night. This was our third time and I'm afraid it'll probably be our last. We were placed at a table just inside the main door. Next to us were a party of eight, I'm no Victor Meldrew, but this lot, mainly the women, were so loud and we literally couldn't hear ourselves speak and it was not just our group that were getting a little cheesed off with them. However, that is not the fault of the restaurant, but being a small place noise is definitely a problem. Service was okay but not as friendly as it should have been. Dishes were served across you to other diners and not as should be done. I chose the Crispy Duck salad to start. Not sure if it was meant to be but my duck was cold and was made up of all the small charred pieces that shattered when you chewed them. The only obvious flavour was the smothering of Plum sauce very disappointing. My wife and I both chose the Beef Stefado for main. In our opinion, this was more like a Beef stew with a portion of veg rice, it was very salty. Our friends had the Grilled Sword fish and Beef medallions, both said there was nothing to rave about. The only good points were the cold beers and the wines we had ordered. We first went to the Bexley Kitchen not long after it had first opened and on that occasion, apart from the noise, everything was great as you can see from my previous review, 2nd time, not as good, this time not great at all and we will cross it off of our list of places to eat.

We booked a late Friday lunch. We were informed at the time of booking that the kitchen closed at 3, so ordered in plenty of time. The food was delicious - we shared a meze starter and a prawn starter and had risotto and carbonara for mains. Although the last in their before the kitchen opened again at 5, at no stage were we made to feel unwelcome. Vini was an excellent waitress who looked after us very well. I will definitely be back.

A lovely intimate restaurant with friendly service and great food at reasonable prices

Quite a compact venue but on our visit it wasn't busy so we had no issue. The food was superb. We had a variety from steak to fish, prawns and vegetables. All of the food was very tasty and those that had the steak, from rare to medium, said it had been perfectly cooked to their liking. Highly recommended.

Superb food and very reasonably priced. I went on a Wednesday with a friend and was very impressed by the quality of the food. Totally delicious, the scallops starter was full of flavour. I struggled to choose as a main as they all sounded so great. I went with the seafood spaghetti dish. An absolute delight. It was great to see so many covers on a Wednesday evening. I certainly plan to visit again next time I’m eating out in Bexley.

Visited early on a Friday evening. No nice welcome when we arrived just pointed to a table, which was placed against a wall which badly needed a lick of paint. Was sat at the front of the restaurant, it was freezing, has wall heaters but none were on, asked to move and was seated at the rear next the radiator, but near to the kitchen and toilets. Decor is so mis matched, and poor low end. Toilets really need some major TLC, I couldn't wait to get out. Menu was a little uninspiring, would of been better to have less burgers, and some specials. Maybe some locally sourced Kent Foods seeing the name of the restaurant is "Bexley Kitchen". Food was tasty and hot and it was served as we requested. Had the scallops and prawns to start, and ribeye steak with chunky chips and peppercorn sauce. Please spend some time cleaning and giving the toilet some TLC and then give the interior of the restaurant some consideration and work on the welcome and service of guests and it would be a lovely restaurant.

I went to this restaurant with my dear friend tonight. We was was sooooo disappointed, with the food. Our scallops were raw and smothered in salsa, they were definitely frozen. We politely mentioned that they was raw and no replacement or refund was offered. I will not be returning.

Went as a group of four and all had a different meal. Pleased to say we all really enjoyed the food so will definitely be returning soon.

We had a family meal here for 12 people on new years day. The food was amazing, great service and good value for money. The menu choices were extensive and we were really happy with our choices. The burgers in particular were incredible! Will definitely be visiting again soon.

fabulous little restaurant with the freshest of food, really quaint, romantic place to go for a meal

The food was excellent and service was very prompt - couldn’t have asked for better. Ordered the portobello mushroom burger to takeaway and it was fab. Chips and coleslaw were some of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t praise it enough.

Great food and reasonably priced

Been twice and loved the food on both occasions... Unfortunately losing a star because two bottles of beer (approx 1 pint) works out close to £8 per pint - a little too expensive.

One word, excellent. For work one week in Bexley, four times had a dinner at the bexley kitchen. Just awesome, friendly staff really good food. A five star for the Bexley kitchen!!

Food amazing - had the stifado, wow

Good value for money, abundant portions, delicious food presented with elegance, nice favours and cooked to perfection. Very good selection of wines and very good options selection on the menu. The staff are all lovely. Please sort out some ventilation at the back because I came out smelling like a roast, it feels claustrophobic and some fresh air is necessary to make the experience a completely pleasant one.

Given the trendy name and the look of Bexley Kitchen from the outside, we were quite looking forward to our visit. It didn’t live up to expectations. We were seated at the back, near the toilets and the decor and furnishing is very low end. The wine we ordered was nice - the Sauvignon Blanc and I can recommend that. Starters were odd. I had a duck salad, which was a very basic salad, with rock hard strands of dry duck, with some hoisin drizzled on it. Edible, but not pleasant. Sarah had the prawns, which were so overcooked, I had to wait 5 minutes for them to cool down before I could actually handle them to remove the shells for her. They were poorly prepared and were very difficult to shell, it she said they tasted food, once opened. No finger bowl provided. The mains were a carbonara that lacked any quality and the bacon in it had a very rubbery rind on it. Sarah’s veal was appalling. It was grey, dry and also rubbery. To top it off, it was served with mushrooms that had clearly been from a tin! Yes, tinned mushrooms in a trendy restaurant. Only giving 2 stars because the wine was good and the service was friendly, but zero chance I would come here again, it’s just a terrible restaurant, from a food & ambience perspective.

Went here for lunch last Friday and had two courses for £11. I had lamb meatballs and chicken souvlaki both of which were very tasty. The chicken reminded us of holidays in Greece. My wife had calamari which was tasty but slightly greasy and then sea bass. Washed down by a lovely bottle of rose. Service was lovely. Overall great value for money and a nice spot for lunch.

This place is a little jem. The food , service and price is tremendous .It is little and tight but they make up for it in their food. I have been here many times and try different foods fish or meats. They do not have a vast menu but what they do is very good quality. You never disapoint.

The food is fantastic and not just the steak, which was cooked to perfection. This was our second visit. The first visit was for my mums birthday and the food was great. This time I booked on the day and the food, again was great to say the least. The service polite and courteous. Although the restaurant is very small it’s quite airy and welcoming.

First time visit after reading lots of positive reviews. It is unusual in it’s size but that does not detract from an excellent dining experience. Service was really good and the waitress was happy to explain what some of the dishes were. All 3 courses were cooked as you would hope for and also the way they were presented added to the the overall experience. Bottom line is that we will definitely be going back which I guess confirms that we really enjoyed dining there.

We took balloons and a cake and they looked after us really well. A little disappointed as there was a staple in one of the starters. They reacted quick and changed it. The disappointing bit was they still charged us for that starter where I feel they should have removed that one. They did give us all a drink at the end so I decided not to complain as it was a birthday. The food was great and they looked after Grandad and served his steak just how he liked it

The quality of the food is very good at the Bexley Kitchen and staff are very nice. We have found that we have been squashed in a bit! I would recommend for midweek dinner or lunch at any time as it's less frantic.

Absolutely delicious! The nachos were home made tortilla chips and were lovely. The Sea Bass was incredible seasoned perfectly, we also had the seafood linguine which was just as lovely. Excellent service and very friendly welcoming staff, will be returning. Thank you for a lovely Friday dinner!
