Tea is proper leaves in a proper pot and is wonderful. The menu options varied from the traditional to some fabulous options such as cinnamon french toast and crushed avocado on sourdour with or without poached eggs (I had poached eggs and they were poached to perfection). Felt very covid safe. Staff very friendly. Place was spotless. Highly recommended.

We were staying in the village for the weekend and hiking the 3 peaks. We visited the cafe for lunch twice as on our first visit we enjoyed the cheese on toast so much that we returned the next day. We also had a yummy chocolate brownie. The staff were friendly and polite. The cafe subtly leans towards being green and environmentally friendly with its impact on waste and useable without being preaching. The Coronavirus information that’s the cafe gave to each table was done so in a polite, friendly common sense approach without scaremongering.

Often call in here for a brew when passing through, be it on the bike or after walking the ingleton falls. Lovely cafe, with a traditional look. I normally just have toast and a brew which are very reasonably priced. Have eaten inside once and as expected doesn't disappoint. On a sunny day grab one of the outside tables, brilliant for people watching See you again soon.

This coffee shop is in the centre of the picturesque village of Ingleton. We were pleased to find it open on a Monday morning. There is plenty of room inside and there was a log burning stove so we were able to warm up. We had two flat whites which cost £5.20 and were of good quality. It seemed to be popular with locals and the service was very friendly, as was a visiting sheepdog.

At the end of the Ingleton Waterfall Trail we were really hungry. Looked like several choices and we opted for Bernie’s. Really glad we did!Our of season (1st December) but despite being nearly empty there’s a nice atmosphere. Modern, clean... and that’s just the staff!! But seriously, nice place, seating for about 30.Excellent tea and coffee. Good menu. We were way too late for cooked breakfasts (they’re served until 11:30am), but we opted for the five-bean chilli. I counted a lot more than five beans:-) it was really nice, spices but not too spiced, and a good portion.Highly recommended.

We called at Bernie's after a long walk for much-needed refreshment. The café is clean, well furnished and decorated and very welcoming. We each chose coffee and a cake, but had the opportunity to examine the menu, which was original and very tempting - more than just your usual sandwiches and soup. We found Bernies when looking for some lunch before doing the waterfall walk, and it's certainly not your average Dales cafe serving the usual food. We found the menu to be very good with more than a hint of American. I had a Reuben, my wife a falafel wrap and our son a grilled cheese sandwich and all were excellent. The loaded fries are superb! Popped into Bernie’s after a long walk round the falls - we were extremely hungry as we’d forgotten to pack any snacks for the journey!! Great menu as there were delicious choices such as stew of the day and American cheese toasties - so nice to be given better and more interesting choices than your bog-standard cafe. All completely homemade and the chips are how my mum used to make them - delicious. I also had an apple crumble which had the perfect fruit to crumble ratio! Oh and great tea too! Staff were friendly and even asked how our food was which is rare for a cafe and our muddy boots, wet coats and soggy dog were welcome. Going back for breakfast this morning!

We visited around 2pm on a Thursday, and as we were the only people in at that point I was a little unsure if that was not a good sign, and also would hot food really be good if no one else was eating here? Happy to say I was wrong on both counts. Bernies is a comfortable place to sit, drink coffee and eat at. We ordered at the counter (no table service but that matters not), a small breakfast and the larger all-day one and some coffee. We both commented on how the food tasted "clean" - not greasy or fatty, just two excellent meals. They looked appetising on the plate, with some good-looking toast, and we weren't disappointed. As we ate more people came in, so obviously we had just picked that quiet moment. In a Yorkshire Dales town I thought the prices were fair enough - not cheap, but not over-priced. Better still, as they tasted so good, good value.

If you've been out and about/feel peckish and want large mugs of tea and some warm food then this is definitely for you! We had fish fingers, beans and chips. All cooked well and exactly the right sized portion for us. We loved it. This is really important to us as my husband has a dairy allergy and we can struggle to find cafes which offer a range of food he can eat - this menu provided many options! The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. This reminds me of the many fell/hill walkers cafes down in Wales and Dartmoor and it is certainly somewhere we'll visit after a good dog walk in the Dales!

We had to wait a little while, they were fairly busy, but it was obviously all freshly prepared. Many places cut down on the quality of sausages in particular, but not here; they were tasty.Only one small criticism, the thick toast appeared to be pre-buttered which made the buttered side soggy. Would have preferred to have the butter on the side to do it ourselves when ready.

Two of us had very good breakfasts this week while visiting the lovely village of Ingleton. As always, I opted for filter coffee and while being perfectly serviceable, it was a little on the bland side as is so common these days while places try to please everybody, rather than those of us who like our proper coffee with a little more 'grunt'.Friendly, chatty and helpful staff and a very good location and there was very little damage caused to the bank balance. If you're in Ingleton for brekkers, here and next door will be perfectly fine but for better coffee, go to the Coffee Pot just round the corner.

The staff were awesome, not even blinking an eyelid at the state of us. The lovely waiter brought us 2 delicious lattes & asked if Tuppy would like a marrowbone biscuit. How lovely is that? Us Townies just aren't used to having our pets spoiled in a cafe never mind that they're actually allowed in in the 1st place. We were all made to feel so welcome & it was lovely. We were looking for somewhere for a spot of lunch that was dog friendly and this place had a large sign in the window that said you were more than welcome if you had muddy boots or soggy dogs. It is really nice that it is clearly marked other places could learn from this. The food was very nice too and excellent value for money.

A fun & very informal night out in a cavers' cafe. £5 for a main meal washed down with a pint of tea or coffee. Anything stronger you can bring yourself. Live music is thrown in.

We were in Ingleton on a quiet weekday winter morning as we were looking at property in the area. Having been on the road a while and gagging for a cuppa, we were looking for a dog friendly cafe and found one at Bernie's. We actually had an ulterior motive as it was a quiet morning and we hoped we get some insider info from the owners if they had time to talk. We had a very friendly welcome, a good cuppa, some great flapjack and a chance for us and the dog to rest. It's run by a lovely couple and aimed at making sure the caver/hiker/walker community have a suitable gathering place. They were also very forthcoming about life in Ingleton so our plan worked! I get the impression it is a busy place at weekends and in high season and as they haven't been there for a year yet, I wish them every success.

FABULOUS afternoon tea to celebrate a friend’s birthday. WOW! Delicious food all freshly baked on site and boxes to take home extra freshly baked treats. What an amazing place. What a lovely family business. A MUST if you’re in this area

My husband and I were out on our cycle ride from Settle during lockdown2 and stopped off for a Takeaway Tea and Cake. Lovely friendly service and the quality was top notch. Little touches like providing some card to sit on, as I said we were going to sit on the wall. All very covid aware but delivered in a manner that we were comfortable with. Now the main point of this review was when we found out a part had snapped off one of the bikes and they went hunting for a spare bolt and were so thoughtful and kind till all was sorted. Real stars and we will be forever thankful. This is what makes the Yorkshire Dales such a special place and we will recommend to our fellow local cycling buddies. Thanks again.

Called here for lunch after seeing diners outside enjoying splendid bacon sandwiches. Dining inside was great with some novel dishes on offer. Would certainly call again when in the area.
