Bentleys Steakhouse in Rother

Sophie was really friendly and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed for my daughter’s birthday meal. We love going to Bentleys as the food is amazing and the staff are lovely.

Went for early dinner and both had T-bone steak and it was perfect. We were served by Rachael as per the time before. She's so friendly and tentative, really makes you feel welcome and is excellent at her job. Always enjoy eating at Bentleys the food is second to none!

First visit & we were all impressed!! The steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked. Our waitress Gaby was very attentive & service was very punctual & friendly. Highly recommend- I advise booking as it was packed.

Visited Bentley's tonight to enjoy family dinner (Monday night Special Kids eat for £1) We were served by Sophie who was amazing very tentative. The kids wanted to try the special flavour Fanta, Sophie made a special trip back to the bar to make sure the kids were not disappointed and there flavour was indeed in the fridge. Food as always was on point full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The only thing I forgot was a bottle of the Famous Bentley's Bourbon Sauce. Just means we will have to go back for another Visit. Thanks guys and especially Sophie for making our visit so spectacular!

I ordered the chicken ceaser salad. The salad came with zero salad dressing, like anywhere. I asked the staff for salad dressing for my salad and was "informed" by the manager that the ceaser salad doesn't come with dressing 😂. Apparently when you order a ceaser salad with chicken you get lettuce and a chicken breast? I asked for salad dressing to go with my salad. Manager looked annoyed and brought me some vinaigrette something. I told him I would prefer cesear salad dressing. Viola! He came back with cesear salad dressing. Not sure why they keep cesear salad dressing in stock if they don't serve it with the salad despite having the description of the salad on the menu as coming with cesear salad dressing. I eat at Bentley's smokehouse often and usually order the chicken ceaser salad which always comes with dressing. I love Bentley's smokehouse, will not go back to Bentley's steakhouse. The managers attitude was horrible. Yes I know it's owned by the same family. I guess the moral of my story is, go to the smokehouse and not the steakhouse.

We been to Bentleys 4 times but this was 1st time for couple of years. Restaurant has changed - great atmosphere and place is nicely done up. Shown to our ‘booth’ the 4 of us ordered. Nachos to share , chicken skewers and mozzarella sticks. Mains - full rack ribs, Bentley burger x2 and Philly Sub, ice cream, waffle and x2 sundaes for dessert. Very disappointed with the whole experience, nachos look amazing but were let down and just the top layer were covered, ribs were fatty and not marinated enough, they were v tender but simply not right. Burgers were very nice. Philly sub, 1st experience of this so can’t really comment but didn’t seem right flavours. The chips we couldn’t decide if they were awesome or bad which sounds weird but they looked like frozen. The sundae’s desert - 1 wasn’t eaten and that’s sacrilegious as my daughter is desert queen !! Basic taste errors and lower quality food I guess. We had a good time but it wasn’t the same as our other trips. Disappointing overall. Service was poor - it was busy but no attention and we only had 1 round of drinks in 2 hrs. Was so looking forward to the night also.

A restaurant with an American theme, and a splendid playlist of singles to take you down memory lane I thought my calamari starter was excellent, but my main of chargrilled chicken although substantial, was a little disappointing as I thought the chicken was dry. No problem with the service, everybody friendly and attentive, Worth going to again, but maybe chose a different main.

Cannot recommend Bentleys enough - the food was absolutely incredible, very friendly and attentive staff who were genuinely happy to serve us and chat to us, lovely owners and a perfect relaxed atmosphere. Was hard to decide what to eat as there was such a huge choice of dishes. The place was so busy which probably proves the high level of service they provide. Even with all those other customers we weren't kept waiting too long. Will definitely return to try the rest of the menu 😊 EDIT: First visit since the refit and it's a much better layout, a few nice new bits on the menu, one of which I think could be my new go-to! Still busy which is good, and still a fantastic choice for a meal out, we will be back!!

We’ve been for steak here many times before and loved the restaurant! We returned for an impromptu roast dinner the Sunday following the renovation. The roast was the perfect size and cooked brilliantly. The staff were so attentive and everything was very reasonably priced. We look forward to returning again soon!

Have been trying to find somewhere for a Sunday roast since moving to the area ten months ago and this didn’t disapoint. Food was hot and well portioned. Friendly staff and everything went smoothly. Couldn’t fault it.

Great restaurant, would have been 5 stars but as a direct compasrison to Bentlys Smoke House round the corner (should be 6 stars) there was less choice at the steakhouse and it was more pricey. No draft beers or ciders on tap either. All in all, a wonderful evening, just not as good as their other restaurant

Great place, really enjoyed their special, the food was spot on apart from the bbq ribs, the sauce was too sweet, like poured onto the ribs and not glazed. So meat fell of the bone but was tasteless as the overpowering sweetsauce. Otherwise everything else was spot on, decent value for money :)

We had a sirloin steak and a special hanging fillet steak. Both were pretty disappointing. For the price I expect a lot more. Very mediocre, the hanging steak had hardly any meat, the sirloin wasn’t good, tough to cut, a lot of gristle though. But Ok taste. Booked a table for 7 Sunday 20/08/2023 The food here was really good. So no complaints there. We had ribs, burgers, roast, hotdogs, salad and scampi. All were served with chips and coleslaw. My 3 star review is for the intolerable heat. The place was unbearable, no air conditioning (although there were units in the ceiling) made the whole experience very hot and unpleasant. It must have been very unpleasant for the staff too. Would have stayed for puddings but had to get out before we all melted. So although the food and service was good it was spoilt by the heat. We will return but not until the weather cools down.

Bentleys sat us down straight away with our booking. Very lovely staff always walking by asking us if we are ready. The food options were great American food. I recommend the Mac and Cheese side. They do different specials Monday-Thursday. Monday they do 99p meals for children.
