Went here last night because my usual chippy cafe zucchini was closed and I wish I hadn’t. Had to give at least 1 star but I would give it no stars if I could Chips where greasy - black pudding batter was like cake and soggy and thick and the paper stuck to it - fish batter wasn’t any better - £20 straight in the bin - would not recommend this place - EVER - go along the road a bit to the chippy on the corner of the bowling green - always fresh and delicious

I decided to order from here as it was okay before but I wish I'd paid more attention the the dates on reviews as they are all from the previous owner!! When I called explain the smell coming from the fish was a bit overpowering.. some parts fish discoloured and smelled stronger in some parts.. I decided not to eat anymore the last thing I needed was to be sick. The worst part about this experience is the the owner screaming at me down the phone.. never will I waste another penny here!! Total waste of money and my dinner... oh the fritters were okay but not what I expected as my dinner.. very disappointed 😞 if anything me calling up to let them know could have been handled better.

This must be the best fish and chip shop in Cambuslang. The food is superb, the service excellent. I would rate this as fabulous. I just wished I lived nearer it.

The food is great & excellently priced. Could go just for the banter, the ladies at night are hilarious

Dry chips no curry sauce and no chicken dont visit, only good thing is decent portions of dry old chips

Visited Benny’s when visiting family in Rutherglen. Really impressed with a small but very clean traditional fish and chip shop. Staff were great beautiful fresh fish cooked to order along with superb chips. First visit here but it will be regular when we visit. The best by far in the Rutherglen and Cambuslang area.

A real treat to eat a carry-out special fish supper but there are many other treats to eat from Benny's shop.

Dropped in here while in the area, the food appears to be made to order which meant it was very fresh, the premises could do with an upgrade, prices probably what you would expect from this type of eatery.

Tried to order fish supper as they don't keep any ready even at peak times but couldn't get through on phone. Went into shop and asked for a sausage supper which was ready. I stood for ages whilst they proceeded to box up home delivery orders. When I asked can I have my sausage supper I was told that customers who had phoned in orders at 4.30 pm were their priority. This was now 6pm. I said I am a customer who has come into your shop to be served don't you think you should serve me. Was told sorry but no phone in customers are our priority. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was told if you don't like it you can have your money back which I took. I told them their customer service was atrocious and why would someone coming into a shop not expect to be served when the goods were available. I was given my money back and told not to come back in future. Fail to see how this business will survive with this attitude.

Good take away, i use here regularly there is a wide selection of deep fried food, pizzas and other Italian dishes. Good value for money! Would recommend :)

I am very annoyed as I ordered from bennys chip shop but as I clicked continue I did not realise it was set up with my friends number and adress who lives winthin spitting distance. So they went to the wrong house but when I called bennys the lady came across very rude and said the driver would not be coming back! I understand it is a fault on my behalf but I don’t understand why the driver can’t come back? That’s a waste of food and a waste of my time. I have now had to re-order from another chip shop and have fixed my errors but I am extremely annoyed on how the situation was addressed.

Delivered 30 minutes late but the food was lovely. Fresh and hot. Made up for the late delivery.

ordered food at 18:25 and it wasn’t delivered until about 20:00. my 10” Pizza was actually 9” in size and the sausage was clearly a reheat and too greasy to even eat!

Food was almost 45minutes late. Called first of all 15 minutes after estimated delivery time to be told it was the next order due out and took another 25 minutes after that to arrive. When the food eventually did arrive it wasn't hot, didn't have salt & vinegar or sauce on it which I had asked for. I called to complain to be told that it had left 35minutes ago, then he changed it to 5 minutes, the 3 or 4 minutes. Really wasn't helpful at all and asked me what I wanted him to do! Won't be ordering from here again!

absolute joke of a place. customer service is shocking. lost a weekly customer due to the sheer disgusting attitude of the man on the phone. disgrace

chips were soggy, pizza crunch and sausages were burnt and the macaroni cheese? words fail me. I wasn't expecting it to be world class since its coming from a chip shop but I also wasn't expecting it to be from a tin! they're selling you tinned macaroni cheese! I couldn't even eat it.. totally ruined my dinner and totally put me off. will think twice before ordering anything again.

Fish is always made fresh to order and always great. Chips are ok but the hot battered sausage and black pudding are very tasty. This takeaway chip shop appears clean, well run and reasonably priced and also has discount prices during lunchtime. Worth a visit!

The macaroni was a disappointment.

The delivery time had already been put back by 1/2 an hour to 16.45. Received the order at 7.20. The pizza was barely hot and the cheese on it had gone hard. I'd asked for salt and vinegar on the chips and there was none. I'd ordered 4 cans of juice and one had leaked more or less leaked fully into the bag.

Was 45 minutes later than what was said on the email and the under side of the pizza was burnt the pizza was put in the bin I had a very disappointed wee boy

Completely shocking service, I ordered macaroni (which I've ordered before) and it was clearly a tin poured into a tub. When I called to speak to management he argued that he was right and it was in fact homemade, he refused to give me any money back but alternatively subtract £3.40 from my next order when he knows fine well I wont be ordering again, his telephone manner was shocking he clearly has no clue how to keep good customers.

Waited well over an hour. Food was ok but nowhere near the usual standard I get from Bennys. Usually I buy in the shop, will continue instead of just eat.

Paid for a 2L of coke and got a 1.75L instead.. sausage hardly had any batter on it! Hardly any chips and the curry sauce had lumps in it, definitely won't be ordering from here again very disappointed.

Waited over an hour for my delivery and when it arrived the special fish was thoroughly overcooked therefore was basically burnt breadcrumbs with only a little bit of actual fish in the centre of each slice. Left very disappointed.

Had to phone as food was not delivered on time. Placed order at 5 wasn't delivered til 630. Food had obviously been microwaved before being sent out as some parts were extremely warm others were cold and the batter was soggy

Should be utterly ashamed of the delivery on this. I can see the chip shop from my window and decided to get it delivered due to being busy with other things. Thought it might take 15-20 minutes to get a sausage supper and garlic bread delivered and by then I'd probably be done. An hour and 15 minutes later it turns up, quite clearly been sitting for a while as it was "kinda" warm. They are getting the delivery charge for a simple 5 minute walk and still couldn't get it here in a reasonable time.

Ordered macaroni supposed to be homemade! More like tin of macaroni and mozzarella cheese added. I could've made better myself! Waste of money. Also kids meal do they not usually include juice and crisps or something similar? We only received 4 chIcken nuggets and chips. Waited over an hour for delivery too...

Food was late arriving. Probably wouldn't have got it if I hadn't phoned. Food wasn't up to much and wasn't fresh like I asked for. Curry sauce lumpy and could have broke a window with the burger. Lady on phone was nice enough though.

Advertised as 45 mins delivery, extended by 30 mins, then had to call and chase to be told another 30 mins... 105 mins in total....even says delivered on just eat but not to me it wasn't

Took 2 hours to deliver on a Wednesday night. Pizza had been burnt but was cold by the time it got here. This happened last time I ordered but had hoped it was a one off with the pizza being burnt. Used to be great quality but last couple of times ordering the pizza quality has really gone downhill. Maybe they have a new supplier but it's disappointing.

Meal took two hours to arrive (was supposed to take 40mins). Called restaurant twice looking for food, and was told it had "just left" both times when it hadn't. When food finally arrived, it was cold.

2 hour wait for a meal. Food was cold, so ended up having to buy food from another establishment after a 2 hour wait. Called establishment who said delivery was next out so would include a complimentary drink, which I never got. Would not recommend.

Phoned a delivery from this place tonight. The delivery service took 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES to arrive. Food was soggy and extremely disappointing. Phoned to ask were our food was after 45mins and we were told "it's a typical Friday night". Completely unacceptable. Will NOT be returning.

Never have an issue other than slow delievery, but tonight was really disappointed waited an hour and 40 mins for delivery and both 12inch pizzas were under cooked find this service unacceptable should also update menu

Food took 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive. Did not get any tartar sauce or mushy peas with the fish suppers I ordered even though it was advertised. The cheese, ham and onion pizza was, without exaggeration, the worst pizza I have ever tasted, cheddar cheese used instead of mozzarella!!! The fish fingers were over cooked, bordering on being burned, apart from that though, the chips were good. I've used just eat In excess of 50 times and never left a review before but feel that such was the poor overall quality of this meal, I felt I had to... this is the third time I've used this restaurant, first time took 2 hours for the order to arrive but food was ok, second time, food was delivered in 20 minutes and was good. Third time has made my mind up not to use this restaurant again. You have been warned

Beautiful food always cooked perfectly and generous portion sizes. Best chip shop in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen area.

Macaroni cheese actually tasted like they had heated a tin of Heinz Macaroni Cheese and sprinkled a bit of cheese on top!!! Place isn't the same as it used to be.

Pizza and the chips were great but the macaroni cheese was awful. It was swimming in a watery cheese sauce and you could barely see the macaroni. I would order from here for chippy food again but defo not the Mac & cheese.

Best Chippy ever!!! Food of the highest quality and always piping hot when received. Ordered on several occasions and never had a bad meal yet.

Very nice indeed, chippie is top notch. Been a good few times now and can't fault it, special fish is amazing! Nice extra with peas as well. Had delivery as well and always good and not waiting for ages. Well worth a visit!

Awful! 2 and a half hours for delivery and when I called to find out what happened no apology just told they were busy. No apology from driver either. Will not use again.

Great food but shame they never read the notes box. On many occasions I have requested salt and vinegar only for the food to turn up without it. I visited them to ask how I can ensure that salt and vinegar would be put on, i was told that they had made a note of it next to my address but to phone down after I place an order just to be safe. But even after phoning down, guess what? No salt and vinegar. It's so frustrating, to the point where I will no longer be using them!

Food always freshly prepared, so you will have to wait - but it's worth it. The small suppers are perfect size for me & save me money too. Some on street parking spaces outside too.

I ordered pizza for delivery at 19:30. It arrived at 18:45 !! Meaning i was in the shower when it arrived and subsequently not hot when i got to eat it..... it was absolutely delicious so i will give them another chance. They just need to pay more attention to the order details

Order took over 90 minutes to arrive and was cold. Contacted staff about delivery time who were very friendly and apologetic but 90 minute wait for cold food isnt the best.
