Bengal Chaa in Birmingham

2 hours to deliver food, when we live 5 mins in a car. And all the person on the phone kept saying is 10mins

Food was cold .. no flavour to any meal.

Great quality and portions. Poppadoms and salad/raita provided free of charge. Excellent service

Order was late yet again! And when I phone to ask how long my order will be the staff seem to have attitude. All the food was cold, had to warm the curry and rice up in the microwave. Chips were cold and soggy and the naan was the same. This place used to be one of our favourites but not anymore...won't ordering from Bengal Chaa again!

Food wasn't very flavoursome and I didn't find any mushrooms in my chicken & Mushroom Balti. Wasn't very warm, all needed reheating. Not as nice as when bwe ate in a year ago.

Tropical balti was a bit bland/watery, the main disappointment though was the rubbery mushrooms, which were either tinned or frozen. The rest of the food was ok, but nothing special.

This restaurant and takeaway is just delicious. We have been going many years and the food is simply delicious. Freshly cooked, cooked to your specific tastes. Very good portion size. And take your own alcohol! Highly recommended

I ordered a delivery from Bengal chaa taking a risk as I'd not eaten from here before. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and generous portions. Worth the money will be my new go to place 😊 customer service was good and I would deffinetly reccomend.

My favourite Indian restaurant for dining in! The food is always impeccable and the staff are incredibly polite and attentive. Never had a bad experience here! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Love love love.

Came down with my family a few nights ago, was served by a lovely gentleman, was so polite and recomended us what we should go for. Ordered a mixture of starters that was beautifully sizzling hot, was so delicious and fresh, i was really impressed by the quantity and quality of the food. ordered mains is well and the curries were spot on, full of flavour, hot, fresh definitely portions you could share. My family and i were really happy with what we had ordered and how much we got for what we paid for. Overall, the food was amazing and me and my family were really impressed, the staff were so friendly and nice. The food was phenomenal and definitely worth coming back here again, will definitely be back soon!

It came packaged wonderfully, everything was steaming HOT and FRESH even though I don’t live close. The colours are so VIBRANT and the food is packed full of FLAVOUR. Would definitely order from here AGAIN. Definitely recommend!! 😋 Vegetarian options Plenty of options to choose from, includes all dietary exceptions. Very accessible to everyone - Vegatarian, Gluten free etc. Kid-friendliness Very good for kids, lots of non spicy curries on the menu and delicious ice creams with toys to choose from!! Also some delicious chocolate mints available in the restaurant. Drinks for adults and non alcoholic juices for the kids 👌

Ordered here plenty of times. The chicken jalfrezi and bhuna is full of delicious spices. If you love Indian / Bangladeshi cuisine then this place will not disappoint. Customer service is great too, and food delivered promptly.

We hadn’t been for a couple of months but had a takeaway tonight. Food was excellent, freshly prepared, very tasty and hot (temperature). Service is always brilliant. Mo and his team are always welcoming and friendly. Chicken was beautifully cooked and tender. Very good value for money. Would certainly recommend.

Unfortunately the worst meal I’ve ever had from here.. the whole order was cold when it arrived. No flavour and very little meat in the curry. Nicest part of the whole order was the Naan!

Disappointing! Onion bhaji tasted stale, veg samosa I've had better from farmfoods! Both Baltis were bland, greasy and the nan breads were undercooked. I certainly would not recommend ... Find an alternative takeaway and stay clear from here.

This is the worst balti I have ever had in my life! The onion bhajis were an absolute waste of my energy to eat, and money (so was everything else from here); I had ordered mushroom bhaji, not onion bhaji!. When I come to eat them, they were rubbery and so overcooked. Not to mention, they oozed out with grease when I cut into them.The samosas were terrible... they had no spice and weren't very big, and were soggy like an old, sweaty sock, and frankly not much better tasting. Never buy the mint sauce unless you like the taste of a used soap bar in your mouth and the salad tasted watery and gritty. The Bombay aloo had very little potato (almost like they are on a cutback), even though the name is potato!. When I went in it was very small and cramped inside, but very clean and laid out nicely. Overall very disappointing and will NEVER EVER COME HERE!!! 😡

As someone who loves Indian food and I've tried a lot of places. I wouldn't order from here again as I feel I get more flavor from a microwave curry.

Gorgeous tasty food, delivery was hot as well.

The spinach and veggie tikka masala was lovely and the starters but the stuffed pepper was very greasy with what looked like olive oil and I had to use a kitchen roll to soke it off but also in the veggie tikka masala cauliflower goes well it tempeh or tofu or mushrooms.

Food was great will definitely order from here again.

Hot, tasty and early, can’t get better than that

I went with family and friends on 28/4/22 and have never been to Birmingham before. I was blown away by the friendly staff and the care taken to find out how hot/mild you want your curry. My Lamb Tikka Madras was great and the Peshwari Naan was brilliant filled with fresh coconut and topped with honey. I am still drooling !! The restaurant was spotless, the service exceptional and the food superb, prices excellent !! Think I will have to make another visit very soon.

On and off I have visited the bengal chaa since I was a teen, most of my fondest memories of my late father are here. The food is amazing, and the staff have always been attentive. I have only just recently started visiting here after a few years of not really going out, and it is just as it has always been. Delicious food, great portions and a very nice atmosphere.

By far the best takeaway for Bangladeshi/Indian food I have ever tried. So well priced for the amazing dishes they serve with large delicious portions leave you satisfied and happy. The restaurant is very elegant and homely with purple lights and good seating both upstairs and downstairs. Can book rooms for parties as well. Great waiters. 5/5

Humble and lovely waiters who deliver food on time and delicious. They always make you feel welcome and this is my go-to local curry restaurant. I’ve ordered countless times and not once have been disappointed. So tasty and spicy, definitely authentic and the menu is updated very often with wonderful selection.

Lamb tikka starter was tough & vindaloo was not particularly spicy & tasted of chilli powder. Usually soo much better but will order again as not typical

As per the restaurant experience, amazing food delivered hot and on time, 10/10, the Chicken Balti is best around, so tasty, only negative was a soggy naan but you get that with takeaways. The in restaurant naan was best we have had.

Sheek kebab and biryani was ok but certainly not good. Banana fritter was absolutely revolting - bright red, thick spongy batter. Tried one and spat it out. Never getting food from here again. £16 wasted.

This is the curry they think it acceptable from bengal chaa in stirchley water gathering on the plate as soon as you dish it up phoned up and they wouldn't even replace it said what do they want us to do about it I said I will phone trading standards they said OK then. Can't post picture but the plate is full of water couldn't even eat the food it wasn't even a bit of water it was like a cup of water was on the plate. I dished the food up and within minutes the water appeared
