Went here for a birthday Meal with a friend, been here before and absolutely loved the food. Unfortunately we was both disappointed this time round. £52 for 2 pasta dishes and 2 cocktails, one a non alcoholic. I quite liked the idea of the pasta I chose from the menu, which should have been a penne pasta with roasted Mediterranean vegetables. Unfortunately this came out as pasta and tomato sauce, which I could have quite frankly cooked at home for a fraction of the price. It was not bursting with flavour nor do I think it was worth £14.50. As for my friends pasta dish she went with the chicken and asparagus tagliatelle in a creamy Sauce. There was nothing creamy about the sauce, if anything it had seperated and was so bland. Again this cost £16.90. We weee offered a dessert menu but after the mains we were both very disappointed. Safe to say we won’t be returning. Such a shame.

Today I had a great experience at Bella Vita . Very nice place with tasty food and friendly team . The atmosphere is amazing , with wonderful decorations that bring in Italy culture. Alex was helpful with us to choose the vegan dishes, explain everything and give us the best advises that helped us with order. We definitely will come back , for more limoncello 🍸🍸♥️

Visiting Folkstone for my birthday and decided to go for this Italian restaurant as it was recommended by our Airbnb. Absolutely delicious. Should be noted that both my partner and I ordered gluten free items. I had the gluten free pizza Bella Vita and they had the gluten free carbonara. Both absolutely delicious. The pizza base was super delicious for a gluten free one too. What a wonderful treat, warm and friendly atmosphere and great staff. Thank you.

Great food at reasonable prices

Excellent food and drink. The chef knows what they’re doing. Atmosphere is just lovely. I will definitely return. Booking for five people and all different dishes which were all spot on.

We ended up at Bella Vita as everything else was shut very early on a Monday...But lucky us! Was an absaulty delicious meal and great service/vibe. One of the best Seafood Pastas uve had anywhere in the world...Very yummy.

Not halal, but good fish and veg options. Also, they have catered to our request to remove alcohol from the dishes.

I love to come to Bella Vita, whether it’s for food or drinks. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. Especially the lovely Mya and Grace.

Great place to eat, my wife is a Tiramisu connoisseur and this was for her one of the best. Services and food 10 out of 10. Sometimes you see other dishes past you by like the meat balls will try next time for sure. Recommend to anyone the pizzas so authentic.

Mediocre experience We had a calamari starter, some olives, a bufalina pizza, risotto al funghi, pollo portafino, tiramisu, panna cotta and dark chocolate profiteroles. The best dish of the evening was... the wine, a bottle of Gavi, reasonably priced as well. The rest was mostly a disappointment. The panna cotta, I heard, was nice, so were the olives. The calamari was very rubbery and weirdly bland for a seafood dish. The mushroom risotto was, again, very bland but garlicky and greasy, didn't finish it. My companions did not seem to be impressed by the bufalina pizza or chicken breast. The profiteroles were fine (probably a bit too much cocoa sauce and not enough actual chocolate) but the tiramisu was the biggest disappointment. It was watery and dry at the same time, we didn't even finish it, and I'm sure you could get a nicer one from the nearest supermarket. We didn't try any pasta, might come back just for that one day but can't promise that.

Such a little gem in the heart of Folkestone harbour. This Italian is truly spectacular and such an amazing little find. You feel like your in Italy tasting the food. The food was amazing and delicious 😊. Our waitress was very attentive which was lovely. Thank you. We would 100% be returning when visiting again 😊

We paid an unexpected trip here and the hosts were accommodating. Staff service was great, the food good and the atmosphere was friendly. Our group generally enjoyed the food and we will probably come again. I think the restaurant being split across two floors probably meant it wasn't as cosy as it could have been, but it's not a deal breaker. The kids pizza is genuinely high quality and ours loved it, would expect the same quality from the adult pizza too

Lovely food...super fast service...really a real gem

Just ordered a regular pizza with chicken pasta. Delivered very quickly within 25 mins. Picked up the pizza box from the delivery guy and found the opening lid edge was very greasy at the bottom. Didn't think much of it at the time so wiped the bottom of the box and took it to my room. Opening the pizza box I see the toppings have slid all the way to the other side of the pizza. Couldn't re-wipe the toppings as the pizza was luke warm at best. The shop was only 1.9 miles away. The pizza was actually very tasty but extremely disappointed with what I was given.

Randomly dropped in for dinner here whilst in Folkestone, So glad we did. The food was amazing, service was excellent and good prices. My favourite dessert is Affogato al caffe and it did not disappoint. We will definitely return.

Shockingly poor pasta, dry without a sauce, the only flavour was the clams and the overpowering garlic!! I have never left a plate of food and been home within the same hour. Staff pleasant, fellow diners were rowdy and ill mannered. We won’t go again.

The experience was overall very positive. I had the chicken with tomato sauce, now I am not a great fan of heavy tomato flavour but this was just right. My partner had spagbol and that also looked good. Can't remember what the other 2 had but no complaints. So all in great 👍.

Ein italienisches Restaurant am unteren Ende der alten High Street. Überraschend war, daß Cola und Limonade in Dosen serviert wurden (das kannte ich so nicht). Service ist freundlich. Essen ist gut und die Pizza war groß und lecker. Parkplätze sind etwas außerhalb.

This is a great, nicely authentic Italian restaurant and it’s very popular so be sure to book. The food is delicious and plenty of it. We went on Saturday night and it was really busy, but the two, young waitresses that served us were fabulous. They were completely on the ball, friendly, efficient and nobody was kept waiting. We were so impressed by them we passed on our thoughts to their manager. We will definitely go back. A great meal and a lovely experience.

Love this place as its an antidote to the usual English junk food, and this time the lunches were nice. But we were served by the most sour faced, cold waitress, nothing we could say or do made her smile or treat us with anything other than cold, professional contempt. They served my kid the ice cream from the kids menu, I tasted it, no idea why they would do that but it was ridiculously sweet as if someone had added icing sugar to it. Horrible! The toilet seat in the ladies was completely broken, which was so awkward and demeaning to use, and there was only one toilet. These 3 things added together means I'll be looking for a non-chain cafe next time!

Good pizzas but poor hygiene of staff. Been here 3 times and every time the waiter has brought our 'clean'glass to the table by holding it with his whole thumb inside the glass. I also watched staff putting cutlery on table by holding the eating end of the fork and spoon. Then they clean away dirty plates and glasses.....this is really poor hygiene! How can learning about hygiene, from Covid, be so quickly forgotten!!! Shame as nice pizzas. If Covid rates continue to climb this Autumn, I'll avoid this restaurant.

Absolutely banging lunch today. The crowds down the fountains and harbour area looked crazy. Opted for this place as we'd been before and enjoyed it. Greeted and served by amazing staff and the food was to match. The Nduja pizza was just amazing. Well worth a try if you like a bit of a kick. Will do our best to go back more often. Honestly I’m struggling to give this place a 3…… it fails on so many levels. The starters were nice, we had the Arancini and the zucchine fritte both tasty enough. The mains weren’t great. I had the Penne Maria, penne was under cooked, and the sauce was just weird tasting. Edible but not the best. My husband had the crab ravioli, whilst the pasta tasted fresh enough, it was bland. Then the girl who was clearing the drinks glasses repeatedly tried to take drinks before they were even finished. She succeeded in the end, and I took my wine glass away with 1/3 of the contents still in there. The service is way too fast also, we were in and out in 50 minutes for 2 courses and 2 drinks. There was no time to digest your starters before the main was dumped on the table. Lastly, the owner or manager needs to pull his head in and check his ego. We witnessed him berate one of his young waitresses in the middle of the restaurant. Any decent manager would take someone to one side and have word if needed. The restaurant lacks love, the food is unloved and the staff. It’s like a half arse attempt at running a business, the menu reads ok, the restaurant presents nice enough, the staff can serve up food and put a smile on, but there’s no love or passion for it. Honestly I wouldn’t waste my money in here again.

We are working our way through every restaurant and cafe in Folkestone and will probably cross this one off. The biggest, unforgiveable error is to bring main courses when we are still eating starters. You are supposed to be serving us, so you know we haven't finished as you haven't take the plates away, so why turn up with mains? The sea bass was apparently inedible, with salad alongside vegetables and no type of potato on offer except chips (hello, Italian restaurant??) The chips didn't turn up at all but were on the bill. One of the starters didn't turn up until prompted. They are keen to remind us about the 2 hour limit (I get that) and stick a 12.5% service charge (which I foolishly paid). How about getting your act together first.

Op deze manier kun je makkelijk 3 shifts per avond plannen. Neemt niet weg dat het geserveerde eten 5 ⭐️ is. Er wordt wel standaard 12,5% fooi op de rekening gezet. Dit staat in kleine lettertjes onderaan de menukaart.

Went for a second visit here today for lunch, with two close friends. The food was incredible once again. I'd love to give a couple extra stars for food, service, and atmosphere, but there's no option to 😊. I will be back again and again until I've tried all of the menu.
