Bella Napoli in Glasgow City

Visited Oro last night with my partner after going a few times with my family before lockdown. We drove 30 minutes from home to this restaurant. We were met at the door by the front of house who immediately asked where our masks were. My partner began to say that he is exempt. The lady then interrupted and asked where our badges were. We again explained that we don’t need to share our illnesses/reasons for not wearing one to which she rudely pointed us down the street to a newsagents where we were instructed to buy a mask if we wished to have our meal. It was 9pm and we were starving so we saw no other option on a busy Saturday night than to go buy masks. We entered the restaurant and were told to sit down less than a METRE from the front door to wait for our table.. we were allowed to take our masks off at this point!? While we waited for our table another lady arrived with her friends. She was also exempt and she told the front of house this. The front of house began questioning the lady about not wearing a mask! This is so embarrassing for people to be treated in this manner in front of a very busy restaurant! The front of house could not have been any more dismissive! During our meal we weren’t once asked how the food was for us/if we needed any more drinks etc. I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant in the times that I visited in the past but after my experience last night I couldn't wait to just finish my meal and leave! Below I have attached the guidance from the GOVERNMENT website in which it states that an exemption badge is a PERSONAL choice and not required by law!!!

I turned up and I am exempt from wearing a mask. I was asked where it was and why I wasn’t wearing it I was then asked to prove I was except, prove I had a Disibility, which was humiliating to say the least. I was then told I was being refused unless I put one on to get to the table. I have sensory issues and have a neurological condition so I am exempt! If I came in sitting in a wheelchair or if I had a clear Disibility that showed my brain didn’t work properly would they have asked then? I was furious, embarrassed and humiliated. If I say I’m exempt none is allowed to challenge me on it and that’s exactly what they done. Take note oro l, have a look at my photos.

First for the food, the food is very good although £15 for a Pizza in Shawlands is a bit OTT. The service was good and staff friendly.Unfortunately we were sat through the back with a view to the back courtyard which is where the Rats play, yes I am afraid so! Rats big ones outside the window where we were eating. I highlighted this to the staff who blamed it on a near by takeaway, come on Rats only go where there is food!

It was alright. We ordered a pasta/pizza combo to takeaway, and it was quite expensive for what you get - and unfortunately very bland. It's a shame, the staff were excellent and the interior of this place is truly stunning. I've heard good things about this place, but unfortunately yet to experience what I keep hearing about. Will be back to try once more.

First visit since the Bella Napoli days and will definitely be back. Food very good and service excellent. Place was very busy for a Tuesday night with most tables taken which says it all.

Delicious! Great food however was pricey! Delicious pizzas and bread with the perfect toppings and seasonings! Kids pasta did seem small but that's my own opinion!

Absolutely gorgeous food. Design your own pizza had loads of choices. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options on the menu too. Service from Dante was superb also. Excellent value for money. Thank you Oro!

We have loved this restaurant for years. I'm so happy to see it reopening. Staff are truly professional. Food excellent. Even the humble insalata caprese was uplifted by the addition of strawberries and raspberries, which I'll now incorporate into my home effort. I have to wonder at the couple of poor reviews. Artemisdee, don't you realise that everyone is adusting to reopening? Wildlin, I must wonder what your 'sensitive' issue was, and think it likely that you are/were a horrible customer as I have never had any difficulty with staff at Bella Napoli/Oro. Great place, great authentic food, and we can't wait to see the redevelopment at the back. Ashton Lane of Shawlands!

Stopped off at Oro for coffee. Staff were very welcoming and not put off by the fact we just wanted a coffee as had eaten elsewhere prior. Service was amazing, quick & efficient even though we were only having coffee they still made sure everything was OK at our table! & suggested we took a look @ their desert menu. Customer service is everything & they've got their service spot on! We ended up trying their Nutella Cheesecake which is to die for Can't wait to return for a meal as menu looks amazing! Would highly recommend Oro to anyone!

After lockdown ended, we were looking forward to our meal at Oro. Most of our table of 6 ordered a spaghetti dish whereby I ordered seabass with a side of vegetables. Everyone’s pasta dish came looking lovely but mine, the seabass was overcooked and the plate of vegetables, broccoli and green beans, were a pile of mush. I didn’t complain as we weren’t paying for this meal, and I didn’t want to embarrass the hostess as she was good enough to treat us all. Sufficient to say I, and my partner, will not be returning as there are nicer Italian restaurants.

Really love this place, I would go as far as saying it’s got one of the best pizzas (The Napoli) in the Southside of Glasgow. The staff are very professional and welcoming- the food is consistently good I only wish it was slightly more reasonable as we would visit more often.

Visited for the first time on a busy Friday evening with family and had a great experience. Food and service couldn't be faulted. Will be back!

Ordered an extended family takeaway from Oro. Every meal was delicious. I was particularly impressed by the seafood pasta dish and the thin crust pizzas. Unfortunately, the management let the food down with the volume of plastic containers in the delivery. Each pasta dish comes in a black plastic container (black plastic is the most difficult to recycle so most ends up in landfill or in our oceans). Each dish also comes with a small plastic tub of parmesan. While I was pleased to have parmesan with my meal, the number of these plastic tubs was disappointing. Sort out the plastic issue and this will be my first stop for Italian food in Glasgow.

Amazing place. Was unaware how special and well managed this Restaurant actually was/is. The Food (Grape & Goats Cheese Pizza) with accompaniments, superb! Service was attentive, polite and professional. This is a must visit.I manage two restaurants, so appreciate the hard work, dedication and staff buy in displayed on our visit - well done.

This is the reason why people eat out. The food was faultless, and the staff attentive (without being intrusive), professional, friendly, and just an all round delight. The mains were delicious and filling, and one portion of dessert was perfect between two. Shout-out to our wonderful server Dawn, who noticed whenever our wine had evaporated, and filled our glasses before we noticed they were empty! (Let's just say the angel had a share)Many thanks, we will return.

Since reopening after Covid its just not the same, the food is bland, it also seems like they are now serving bigger portions but the quality has suffered.Service is excellent as usual but there is no longer any authenticity to the food, it just doesn't seem like a classic Italian, more like an American chain style offering. Maybe that's the reason for the larger servings? As an example, the mini doughnut's are now served as 5 large doughnuts, why after a large pasta would I want 5 large doughnuts?Replace the quantity with the quality and I will be back, until then when I need a basic pizza or lasagne I will head to TGI Friday's or the like.

Great service, prompt delivery and delicious food make for a successful formula in hospitality.Each dish was enjoyed by all 4 of us. First time we had eaten as a family group since January 2021. Meatballs, minestrone, calamari, spaghetti al pomodoro, carbonara (2) and pollo Milanese each hit the spot. Arlene's service was outstanding and the restaurant was well presented, spotless and evidently efficiently run.

Been many times mostly before the past year. We decided to get a home delivery last week as we really like the food and supports businesses after an awful year We ordered. Risotto. Chicken past. 1 pizza. Tiramisu. Total cost £53. I knew the price before I ordered. My arm wasn’t twisted to buy. But on hindsight £52. That’s a sit in price. Looking more into the menu costs I realised there is no difference when ordering a take away ( home delivery ). As much as we love the food. I think I’ll go elsewhere next time The newly named one on Fenwick road could be a choice Sorry Oro but I feel ripped off

My sister and I went to this venue on Wed&Thurs evening. Apart from the food being excellent , the service was outstanding.Every member of the team from the moment we entered until we left displayed a professional level that I have rarely encountered in Glasgow..The owners & managers have to be praised for their dedication to detail in their training and committment to this operation

Lunch with friends. Managed to get an outside table & it didn’t rain ! Even if it had, they had an electric retractable awning to keep us dry. I had the calamari, Chicken Milanese & fries, tiramisu, macchiato. We shared olives & lovely crispy focaccia & several bottles of an excellent & well priced Primitivo. Portions were large, very well cooked & presented. Highlights were the chicken which filled a large plate & had a beautifully golden & crisp breadcrumb coating & the melt in the mouth tiramisu. Both of my friends loved their food too.Service was efficient & pleasant, although they had to be reminded about our coffees but they were very busy inside & outside the restaurant as it was a Bank holiday Saturday. I would certainly return.

Can't wait till Oro is able to open under normal conditions, but visiting it during level 3 restrictions was a welcome bright moment during an otherwise terrible time in Glasgow. Food was amazing as always!

After visiting this restaurant twice in the last month and spending over £200, we were charged differently for the same meal. We ordered the main Pollo Chicken which comes with a range of sides, one of which includes pasta, when asked to change the pasta sauce the first time we could do without additional charge but the second time they decided to charge us £3.50 for the benefit. We didn’t pre check as they allowed us to do it before so it’s fair to say you do not expect to be charged differently. When questioned, the manager thought it was better to say the staff the first time didn’t know their job. Needless to say they wouldn’t remove the £3.50 extra per dish despite not informing us in advance. One of our dishes was also cold and had to be sent back. Given the lack of concern to customers valid complaints, we will not be back any time soon. The restaurant needs to treat customers better and fairly.

I was genuinely surprised by how tasty and authentic the pizza tasted here - will definitely be back again.The staff were also super attentive when five of us tried to get a table outside for drinks but everywhere was full - they conspired up a table out of nowhere for all of us and we had a great night

Food was brilliant. The new avocado and pistachio pesto was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. COVID safety is obviously taken seriously and everyone was wearing their masks properly. At one point a group of people came in, sat at the table next to us, however, tried to squeeze three people around one side of the table, meaning there was no distancing between my partner and a member of this party. This was very quickly noticed and rectified by our waitress who immediately move the party to a more appropriate table and reminded them of the need for social distancing. Overall, felt safe and able to enjoy the experience of dining out again!

Fantastic Saturday afternoon lunch with family, amazing food, wonderful surroundings and attentive staff. Mussels, Bruchetta, Calamari, Pizza, Pasta all 1st Class. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, we will be back!!

Wrong pizza,arrived. Divert guy was no help at all. Both pizzas had to be re heated as ice cold. Called restaurant and not much help Won't be ordering again

Can’t wait to get back to this restaurant. The Milanese is to die for. The service is so good also. My mum and myself go a lot and are itching to get back. I recently watched an interview with the owner that was great to see. Counting down the days till the 26th!

Managed to get a table for 3 on a busy Christmas Eve, our first visit but definitely won’t be our last. Lovely surroundings, great staff and the food was delicious. I had the spaghetti carbonara Italian style, hubby had a pizza created by himself!..and our daughter had polenta chips with dip and chicken with mushrooms, everything was superb and OMG the polenta chips were seriously yummy Christmas Eve as made even more special eating here

Couldn't fault anything, would go everyday if we could! Very polite staff also and would definitely return.

We had our first home delivery from Oro last night. I wish we had done it sooner. Everything was excellent!! Pizza delicious and hot, chicken Milanese was the same and as for the Nutella cheesecake which we had no room for that will be demolished very soon!

My partner and I absolutely love It here. The food is delicious and so fresh. The customer service is amazing!

Visited here as a family for lunch during Covid and the place runs by the book and the staff all wear masks, plenty of space, great service, fabby food, safe environment and again can’t fault the staff.

Cenamos esta noche para el cumpleaños de mi novio, era la primera vez que lo visitábamos y no me decepcionó.Por lo general, cenamos en otros italianos de Glasgow, pero pensamos en intentarlo, habiendo visitado Italia el año pasado, puedo decir honestamente que la comida era tan buena como la auténtica.Giuseppe fue nuestro anfitrión y fue genial, recomendó un delicioso cóctel y una pizza que fue fenomenal.Se aseguró de que tuviéramos una noche encantadora y la atención al detalle de todos los miembros del personal fue insuperable.Mi novio también tenía el penne de pollo picante y la tarta de queso Nutella que le encantó.Definitivamente volveremos, ¡muchas gracias por una agradable velada!

Visité Oro en un tranquilo día laborable a media tarde con algunos miembros de la familia. La decoración era preciosa, al igual que cualquier miembro del personal con el que estuvimos en contacto y todos tenían el equipo de protección personal adecuado de acuerdo con las normas de Covid.Llegamos sin una reserva y no se tomaron pruebas ni se tomaron detalles de rastreo durante toda nuestra comida, las mesas no estaban tan espaciadas a 1 m de distancia, de modo que el caballero detrás de nosotros chocó con mi compañero varias veces ya que las sillas están literalmente una detrás de otra. - Asumiría que, al ser una tarde más tranquila, espaciaría a los clientes. No importa las regulaciones gubernamentales de 1 m de distancia. La mesa de al lado (aunque no había nadie sentado allí) podría tocarse fácilmente sin estirarse. Si hubiera estado más ocupado, lo haría. la gente se ha sentado aquí?La comida era aceptable, sin embargo, una ensalada Caprese que tiene frambuesas y fresas (extraño) y mozzarella de "búfalo" que he probado mejor de Aldi fue decepcionante.No volvería por comida cara / promedio y especialmente sin cuidado o responsabilidad por Covid (excepto máscaras faciales) en este clima, todos deben seguir las reglas y regulaciones para no perder el negocio de devolución. En una palabra. . . Excepcional. En otras palabras, qué experiencia culinaria verdaderamente excelente. Tuve un par de solicitudes antes de la reserva que luego cambiaron después de la reserva (¡realmente no quería ser una plaga, estaba fuera de mi control!) Y en cada caso el personal fue increíblemente complaciente y no pudo hacer lo suficiente para cumplir mis necesidades. Cada miembro del personal con el que nos encontramos, desde el caballero que creo que es el gerente, hasta los camareros y el chef con el que charlamos, fueron súper amables, serviciales y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. ¡No creo haber tenido una experiencia en un restaurante donde cada miembro del personal fue tan atento y amable como lo fue aquí! Cuando entramos y cuando nos fuimos, todos los miembros del personal que pasamos nos miraron a los ojos y nos vieron: hola / bienvenida / adiós / gracias por venir. Cualquiera que sea la formación que impartan en relación con el cliente, ¡funciona! ! En cuanto a las precauciones de Covid, quedé muy impresionado, todos llevaban máscaras, mesas debidamente espaciadas, estrictas medidas de higiene claramente establecidas, todos nos sentimos muy seguros y bien cuidados. ¡Y la comida! ! Un menú fabuloso con muchas opciones, los 5 disfrutamos mucho de nuestras comidas (¡los pasteles de cangrejo y los mejillones estaban fuera de este mundo!) Y el tamaño de las porciones es muy generoso (de hecho, la mitad de mi calzone ha llegado a casa conmigo como yo ¡No podría comerlo todo de una sola vez!) Hermosa decoración, baños escrupulosamente limpios (¡siempre increíblemente importante!) Y un ambiente encantador, que vale la pena cada centavo que pagamos. Sé que es una reseña un poco larga, pero es importante resaltar todas las cosas buenas y lo duro que trabaja la gente para crear estas hermosas experiencias. No puedo recomendar Oro lo suficiente, definitivamente volveremos!

Visité Oro varias veces, cada vez he experimentado un gran servicio y una excelente comida.Mi visita más reciente fue el viernes por la noche con familiares que estaban de visita desde Irlanda.El personal fue acogedor desde nuestro primer paso en la puerta, bebidas en nuestra mesa en 5 minutos y la comida llegó no mucho después de haber pedido.La comida es fresca y sabrosa y el personal hace todo lo posible para atender sus necesidades. Nos encanta la opción de pasta de pizza 1/2.No hay duda de dónde reservar una mesa para cuando nuestra familia irlandesa venga a Glasgow.

Este fue un almuerzo tardío del domingo por la tarde. El servicio fue excelente, el personal no podría haber sido más complaciente. La comida y la bebida fueron posiblemente las mejores que he probado en el área de Shawlands. Sin duda la mejor taza de café que he probado en mucho tiempo. Recomendaría este restaurante a todos. ¿Las mejores notas?

Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!was greeted with an attitude because when the table was booked we hadn’t asked for high chairs!then were moved from the bottom of the restaurant to the bar.the waiter got the order wrong so we had to eat at separate times,then the manager came over and told us to shut our 1 and 2 year old children up and if they had some sort of disability they should have been advised when it was booked along with the high chair and they would have been out in the corner away from fellow diners!comapared 2 little kids to drink men and she had to make sure they where safe!!!!!!i have looked at the other reviews about this place and they can’t take any sort of criticism they are needing to brush up on some basic skills!we couldn’t even eat the diner the noisy kids waited 20 minutes for a cone!!!as a business you should be appalled with the level of discrimination shown by your staff and that was supposedly the manager who dealt with us!i wonder what the owner would think of the behaviour from his staff members!

Absolute disgrace! The managers attitude is nothing short of horrendous. Discriminatory and Ignorant. Approached our table to ask our 1 and 2 year old to be quiet! Asked if the restaurant was not child friendly as it stated, to be told, children who are quiet are welcome. Asked what would happen if our children had autism, she said it should be specified at time of booking as we would get sat in the corner. Wrong on so many levels. Couldn’t even eat our meal which was £100. We won’t be back. We were told we could come back, without our children!

Food - all taste. Service - amazing. Wait times - non existent. Went here with family and friends and genuinely couldn't decide what to have on the menu from so many amazing dishes. Got the meatballs to start, amazing. And a nice bit of garlic bread to scoop the sauce. For main you can share a pizza and pasta, we got the ravioli and made our own pizza. I would recommend the roast garlic and jalopenos. For dessert we had the perfect mix with a tiramisu espresso martini.

As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry before, I understand that it can be quite a stressful environment. I came on a Monday evening as it was recommended to me by friends. When we arrived it was busy and from the offset it felt off, the lady who told us to wait till a table was available was visibly cold. After finally getting in, the staff were very nice and the food was good but this was marred by the fact that we could hear (who I assume is the manager) swearing at staff members as the place was busy and it seemed like he couldn't handle the pressure.Decent food, probably get better for cheaper elsewhere.

Another great meal and experience at Oro ! We’ve been here a good few times and the food and service is always amazing. I usually get the chicken Alfredo penne and it is to die for. The Nutella cheesecake is also highly recommended if you have room for it at the end of your meal. The staff are always great too. Thank you to Alfredo who always looks after us, and a thank you to all of the Oro staff for always making our experience so good. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back soon.

Had a wonderful afternoon / early evening / going into lateish nighttime lunch .. served wonderful food and fabulous service by our very attentive, very professional waiter Ross.. Ross made sure nothing was too much bother and looked after us the whole day .. we were not rushed in any way and made to feelVery welcome .. food and drink was superb xxx highly recommend ..

I went with my wife to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.The room is beautiful and well decorated. The measures for covid19 safety were appropriate, with well spaced tables and all staff wearing masks.We started by ordering the "Grilled Octopus" to share - on the menu it says "tender octopus legs.." for GBP 8.95 - "legs" in plural but we received ONE single leg. The presentation was great and it was delicious but for that price and description I would expect more. We were used to eating octopus in Cuban and Galician restaurants so that was somehow disappointing.Then we ordered a bottle of red wine, a Chianti Ruffino. The temperature was way warmer that I would expect, so we needed to order a bucket with ice to cool it down a bit. I didn't actually enjoy the first glass because I only detected the problem after drinking the first sip.For the mains I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara no2 which was divine, perfect, great, delicious - you must try that! My wife was not so lucky, she ordered the Mushroom Tagliatelle which was a bit too salty and the creamy truffle sauce was a bit too rich / overwhelming. The presentation and portions in both dishes were great.For dessert I had the Amarena Brownie but it didn't impress me. The cake tasted a bit cheap, I would doubt it was home made.To finish I got the Amaretto Disaronno on some ice - some drinks are not on the menu but they have a big bar with a large selection of drinks so just ask if you don't find something you want. My wife ordered a mojito - it came in a very nice glass but for the price (GBP 8.50) I think it could be a bit stronger on the rum.Special mention to the middle-aged man who served us most of the time who was very gentle and was always making sure we had the best experience.Our overall experience was GREAT. I would come back and I hope the management will improve the small issues I've raised here so I can give it 5 stars next time.

First time trying this place and I’m so glad we went. It’s on par with Rockvilla as the best pizza I’ve ever had in a Glasgow. I ordered the sausage pizza and my girlfriend had chicken and pepperoni, both 10/10. I’d highly recommend this place, I can’t wait to return.

Best pizza Glasgow Southside. Hard to decide between Peasano and Oro. The Oro pizza was less soggy, now it's down to taste and quality of ingredients.

We had a family lunch in ORO today for my mums 70th. It really was great, the food was amazing, the wine and cocktails were lovely, the service was first class. Everything was set out with plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Thanks again for a wonderful day...you really have a great team ORO xxx

The whole experience was regrettable - from the moment we stepped in to when we horrifyingly found chicken in our vegetarian meal. Without creating a scene, I rejected my meal and told the manager I won’t be paying for it and we’d like to leave. My friend has a severe allergy to eggs and nuts and a has mild allergy to chicken and so the way in which this matter was handled my management at ORO was disappointing to say the least.Without any further debate, we just respectfully paid the bill and left.I hope sharing my experience is of benefit to those of you who are vegetarian/vegan/kosher/halal.

Oro is like heaven on earth. The interior of this fantastic place is a thing of beauty! And the service is nothing short of excellent, the staff are lovely and the food is delicious. I recommend to all. You haven’t ate food if you haven’t been to Oro!!!!

We've visited Oro before on previous trips to Glasgow, but on this occasion, the food seemed better than ever. The restaurant really seemed to be pushing the boat out in the post-COVID world. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we felt the COVID precautions were good. While the prices were at the top-end of casual dining, the food was definitely worth it.

We visited on the first weekend Oro was allowed to open after lockdown and it was sooooo worth the wait. We were a little apprehensive about going out but what an amazing service the staff gave us, same as always we received a warm welcome and we were made to feel at ease straight away. The food is absolutely incredible - the muscles are the best I have ever had! The menu is excellent I have been here loads of times and never had a bad meal - the wine list is also fabulous. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner if you are in Glasgow it's a must visit :)

We had another amazing meal at Oro. The food is outstanding and the staff are so friendly. It is the best italian meal we have eaten. Even better than in Italy!

Been twice since Lockdown was lifted. Place is immaculate. The staff are incredible. The food is quality. What more can you ask for?

So happy to see Oro back open again. One of my favourite restaurants in Glasgow. They have a great choice on the menu lots to choose from.My family have there favourites and they do the best foccica bread ever.We always really enjoy our visits. The staff are great very friendly and service is excellent, great value for money. Would highly recommend.

We went with good friends and their kids Food was delicious we had pizzas , pasta and starters. The spinach and ricotta pasta was sublime pizzas were the best I’ve tasted outside of Italy Kids food was amazing and great choices for them Pudding were donuts and Nutella cheesecake which was so creamy and tasty. All in all a beautiful evening with friends in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service and staff. I’ve also had pizzas and pasta to take away during the lockdown which was great service and easy to order. Can’t wait to return.

At last, able to book and enjoy an outstanding Meal, fantastic service from Joe. Some work done during lock down, extremely clean and well decorated. The food is the best Italian in Glasgow. With a fantastic selection of red and white wines. The cafe expresso are the best, thanks guys, glad to see you back so that we can look forward to more relaxing lunches.

My partner and I visit Oro regularly, the food is always amazing and the service faultless. The decor is also lovely so it’s a nice place to visit for special occasions. Would definitely recommend visiting for a great choice of italian food and welcoming atmosphere.

Oro have helped us get through lockdown with their awesome food! The pizzas are exceptional and the pasta selection is good too. Quick service and socially distant collection, really impressed. Looking forward to the restaurant opening soon!

Wow, great to be back out. The food here at Oro was brilliant. So flavoursome. Well presented. Plentiful. Great service. Meatballs and caprese salad for starters. Followed by spicy chicken penne and calzone for main. I would recommend each dish! Thanks Oro.

Oh how i've missed these amazing pizza's - after Crystallos in Bardolino, definitely my favourite tasty thin & crispy pizza - no one comes close Last weekend we had pasta, tonight, pizza - just fantastic !!

Este es, de lejos, mi restaurante favorito en Glasgow para comida italiana. Es tan auténtico, tan sabroso, de gran calidad en cada ingrediente y muy buena comida. Las porciones son enormes, el personal encantador y servicial, el entorno del restaurante está muy bien decorado y acogedor para comer, un menú increíble, hay mucho para elegir incluso para los quisquillosos / vegetarianos / veganos. Definitivamente vale la pena visitar a cualquiera que esté buscando una gran noche, ¡seguro que volverá de nuevo!

Love the food in here so it’s a five but recently understood they have stopped doing halal chicken ? The Milanese is excellent so I’m disappointed to hear that they’ve stopped.

Amazing Italian cuisine. High quality meals and drinks. It is well worth the price and to visit! Cosy and comfortable too!

El ambiente es encantador y la decoración es genial. Los camareros / camareras son muy atentos y el servicio siempre es perfecto. La comida es increíble y las porciones son muy generosas.¡Estamos disfrutando de abrirnos camino a través de los menús de comida y bebida! Estamos ansiosos por nuestra próxima visita.

Attended for two course lunch on Monday. Food excellent. Service excellent. Great value. Staff member came out his way to come and talk to me and tell me a funny story about pizza too! Grazie!!

We visited here as a family of 5 with 3 young children (no reservation made).Upon arrival I confirmed that no reservations were made and we were told that the restaurant was very busy and he would try to find us a table. We were taken to the lower level of the restaurant (which was completely empty and 30% full when we left) to our table which was fine...Food came and I ordered a burger which I presume had been left under the heater in the kitchen and was completely dried up. It was inedible. Other meals were fine...I didnt get a chance to tell the waiters about my burger as I coudlnt get thier attention plus I was starving so I ate the beef patty and chips.Whilst the plates were being cleared, I did mention the burger bun being very hard. The manager (I presume) came to speak to us. He basically told me off for not mentioning it earlier..very arrogant attitude. The same person had earlier told us the kids were making too much noise watching a movie on thier iPad- in an empty restaurant. They were not running around nor talking, just watching movie. We spent over £120 (starters, mains and puddings)...this place isnt for children. The burger was taken off...i didnt go for a free meal, a simple 'really sorry about that', would have been sufficient. Other employees were ok, but this particular member of staff (young, Male waiter) should brush up on his customer service skills!

Our favourite Italian restaurant can honestly say we have never had a bad meal in here pizza and pasta are both amazing and always very friendly and helpful staff would highly recommend this place to all

Went in, on a dark, gloomy, Saturday afternoon on the off chance of getting a table. And we did! This restaurant is pretty big. We were shown downstairs, decor is lush and seating really comfortable.

I went there with two more Italians and we were all very happy with food and service. Looking forward to going back.

Went to Oro for a family meal on Saturday 19 January. Very busy restaurant so just as well we had booked. Great ambience. Waiting staff were very attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. Food was excellent with lovely wines. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Glasgow. We love dining here they have a great choice of menu, food is always delicious and staff are friendly to.

On 27th December my wife and I decided to treat our family to a Christmas lunch/dinner at Oro. Six adults and five over excited kids, what could possibly go wrong. To be honest,I was more than a little concerned for the welfare and sanity of other diners and actually asked to be placed as far away from everyone else as possible. The staff however, were totally relaxed and and encouraged me to do the same. Fortunately the kids were on their best behaviour (most of the time) and the anticipated mayhem did not ensue. The menu, I am delighted to say, was not a Christmas Special but the full A La Carte and, as we had discovered on previous visits, making a decision is no easy task. Is it possible to have too many fabulous choices on one menu? For starters most of us opted for the Octopus, largely on our recommendation and it was judged to be one of the best starters ever. No surprise to us!!! Main courses were selected on a more individual basis and once again the verdict was unanimous, Fab U Lous. While the adults were enjoying the food, the beer and the wine, the kids were having their own party/foodfest at the other end of the table and they were loving it. The staff were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to relax. My son and daughter and their families have now declared Oro to be their favourite Italian restaurant ever. This is now likely to become a regular family Christmas event. How lucky are we to have this gem on our doorstep!!!

After being let down last minute we ended up having a lovely lunch in Oro. Excellent service and delicious food.

We were three together and all got a different dishes, the goat cheese and grape pizza was amazing and also chicken alfredo pasta! The service was great and very good variety of mochtails (for a pregnant one) and cocktails. We were very happy with everthing, our favorite restaurant in Glasgow!

It’s our go to restaurant in the south side of Glasgow. A lovely atmosphere, professional staff and quality choices for all.

We had take away pizza from Oro which was pretty good and a reasonable price. Unfortunately we also ordered the doughnuts, which used to be very good, but this time were raw on one side and overcooked on the other. This made then pretty tough to eat and most of them went unbeaten.

Amazing Food...wide variety of choices on the menu, was gutted I had decided to drive after seeing the cocktail menu, but there’s always next time! I would recommend the Pollo Milanese, this was cooked to perfection! We will return, and recommend! Service was also good!

We had the most amazing lunch at Oro today. The food was fabulous and portions were generous. The service was excellent; all the staff we encountered were freindly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will definitely re-visit when back in Glasgow.

First time in the place and absolutely loved it. Efficient and friendly service with delicious food. Possibly the best linguine frutti di mare I've ever had.

Pizza on "traditional dough" was excellent, it was nice to be able to build your own. Service was very kind and fast. Wine was good. Tiramisu was excellent. All in all had a great meal and pleasant time. Will come back again to try pastas.

Dropped in by chance and was a wee gem of a find. Luckily we shared focaccia to start as it was enormous and we both had extremely cooked pasta with delicious ingredients. Attentive staff. Would definitely return, quality food

We hadn’t been to Oro since it changed from “Bella Napoli” several years ago. Not living locally, it meant a drive of a few miles to go there for lunch today, a “nippy” one indeed. Have got to say, it was completely worth the effort. The restaurant is very nice and the food and service first class. In particular, the Vegetable Tempura starter was exceptional. We both had Fusilli & Broccoli pasta with garlic & chilli for main course. Again, it was delicious. We will definitely be back ... and soon. Superb.

With it being a special occasion and our wedding anniversary they could not have been more accommodating. Giving us our own private booth in a quieter place of the restaurant and really did make us feel welcome and that they cared about the occasion. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back here for any occasion that I can find an excuse for. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I've visited Oro lots of times and have never been disappointed. The food and staff are lovely and atmosphere perfect. I've tried lots of things from the menu and loved every single thing, but my favourite might be the mushroom tagliatelle. One of the best restaurants in Glasgow!

The service was all excellent! This was our first visit, although we had been recommended. We booked online & were shown to a lovely corner circular booth, which was very cosy & private. Our only slight problem was that the music was a bit loud for us, but we were probably the oldest couple there!

First time here and visiting on a recommendation. We had chosen a busy time eg Friday evening - but got great service. Lovely food and good atmosphere.

What a fantastic find. Amazing food, my son said carbonarra no2 was best he had ever tried. My chicken alfredo and brocolli pasta was sooooo good. Fantastic service absolutely will be back xx
