We went on 27th March. It was busy but they managed to squeeze 7 of us in. Service was brilliant esp from Alice and Chrissy. Food was lovely. Brought out a cake for our son as it was his birthday. We will definitely be back

Wonderful service from Alice and Chrissy. We went for a family birthday meal and had the three course menu. Good value and very tasty. No faults whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely meal out. Couple of us ate from set menu, really good price. Food was hot and tasty. Dessert was less good as our gelato order seemed to contain every flavour they had just run out of. By the time the orders were changed, the warm brownie was stone cold and kess exciting. Other than that it was lovely.

Received a warm welcome. Great range of choices on menu. Like the fact calories are displayed; helped me to make informed choices. Service was fast and efficient. Connie was particularly friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding and fairly priced. A wonderful compliment to the cinema on our mini date night.

For a standard chain, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff made our visit, thank you, Connie.

Lovely staff and great food - what more do you want from a restaurant! We went for a meal on Saturday lunchtime with my 3 year old. The staff were great with my little one, and they also took allergies very seriously too (my husband is a coeliac) with lots of fantastic choices for him! We shared a gluten free pasta dish that was yummy, and a chicken Caesar salad (they substituted the croutons for a gluten free alternative that was a really lovely touch as we're used to just missing bits out of a meal!) I would certainly return and recommend!

Lovely food. Connie the server was very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere, we weren't rushed. Convenient for the cinema. Only issue was that the seats of the stall we were sat in were covered in crumbs. However this didn't distract from the lentil ragu, pizzas, ice cream and drinks.

Came here with friends and kids for a catch up, service was fine, food was poor, one of us served cold spag bol.. fairly simple dish to get right in an Italian I’d say? over cooked fries and tough overcooked chicken. Pizza bases like tracing paper and crispy? Restaurant was fairly busy but still the food overall was poor, drinks and service fine. Don’t expect 5* food at a chain like this but average would be nice, overall wouldn’t recommended to anyone or be returning

Friendly efficient service...food could be hotter

Unusually for us, we visited at lunchtime so it was very quiet, but good fast service. Alice was very friendly and efficient!

Very expensive and lacking atmosphere compared to some of the smaller Italian restaurants in York. It’s obviously easily accessible for families with children and the service was good, but it’s just another example of a soulless fast food eaterie which unfortunately have become much more common in our shopping centres. We had a similar meal at Mama Mia’s in Gillygate a few weeks earlier and that was not only cheaper, it had more atmosphere and the food was better.

Very clean tidy all staff was pleasant

The whole team were amazing. So attentive friendly and helpful. Everyone in our party including the kids commented afterwards on how lovely the staff were and that we haven't had such great service in a long time. My 7 year old said that Sara who served us was 'so kind and had such a big smile' Food was great and really good value for money. Gluten free was no problem and felt really safe eating here.

Service and staff where great, the prices and portions, that’s a different story, my wife ordered lasagne, although she said it was nice the size of it was, I’d say at least kids sized portion at best I’m talking smaller than a micro meal lasagne from tescos , no fries or garlic bread just a lasagne at a cost of £14.99, my meal spaghetti and meatballs again a small portion that I literally ate in 90secs no garlic bread or fries again £14.99, an absolute rip off, and the drinks arnt much better a pint of coke, no sorry a half pint of coke and half pint of ice £4.50, come on Bella Italia, either up the portions or lower your prices at least dick Turpin wore a mask Staff 4⭐️ Food although nice for the price and size 2⭐️ Would I recommend NO

Last weekend we have visited restaurant with fiends for a double birthday night out. The waitress staff was helpful and very friendly and kind .Bella must be great full to have staff who can bring brightness to the restaurant . Food ordered was so delicious and will be back for more . Young chef did a great job 👏 Atmosphere was great too. Just a perfect night out . Thank you 😊

Horrendous. I had the worst calzone pizza I've ever eaten, which was tough, almost devoid of filling and fortunately very small. Friend had seafood risotto which was bland and served tepid. Knife was too blunt to cut the calzone. Add a glass of white wine and a pint of lager shandy and the bill was over £43. It was barely worth £25. Will never set foot in there again.

My wife and I visited Bella Italia Clifton Moor to use the £5 Pasta deal. It was a great experience. The starters mains and desserts were delicious, and the service and atmosphere complemented the occasion.

Easy parking as it's situated on Clifton Moor retail park close to other eateries. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who showed us to a clean table and gave us menus. It was fairly quiet with the lunch rush over I presume as it was 1.30pm. our orders were taken promptly and the waitress took time to tell us about our choices which was helpful. Food arrived hot and well presented. Everything was tasty it just lacked flavour and didn't look appealing. Otherwise all was good and having shared a tiramisu we had a very good coffee. Worth a visit again.

Bella Italia might not be a “fancy restaurant”, but for our new years eve meal out with the kids it was wonderful. The food was reasonably priced - especially for the kids - and really tasty. Most importantly the staff were super friendly - we were served by Sara and she had such a lovely manner with our kids when serving us it really make a difference - thank you - especially on NY Eve when you’d probably rather not be working !

Not visited for ages. Nothing out of the ordinary decidedly average menu. Starters ok but needed more sauce we had the mushrooms. Bruschetta was a good looking starter. Pizza cooked nicely could have been more generous with the toppings not so much a meat feast. Festive pizza a nice touch with the Camembert but other than that nothing special. Fries as a side again not that many. If you want an average, run of the mill pizza this might be the place to be but not as good value as other Italian restaurants in York.

Excellent evening at Bella tonight. Attended with my husband and children for a treat tea. The staff are lovely here. I ordered some stuff slightly off menu and they were able to accommodate that easily. The food was delicious, atmosphere festive and warm. The right amount of time in waiting for drinks and food, not waiting ages but neither did we feel rushed or hurried. My second visit this week and although the staff team were totally different both times I've had really attentive, friendly and helpful service. A really lovely experience. Thanks in particular to Connie who was amazing with our children in interacting with them and making food recommendations.

You always know what you're getting with Bella Italia. We love this place. The staff are always great and the food is predictably good.

It's been a long time since I've visited any Bella Italia after having some not great experiences at both this restaurant and another in York. But this visit was spot on. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Food was great. Opted for the set menu, and the festive pizza (which I have to say was "interesting" with the cranberry sauce and camembert topping, but nice still). Family had the standard Calzone and Bolognese. For a Sunday lunchtime it was quiet, thankfully , which maybe helped with the whole experience. Happy with the visit thank you 👍👍👍👍.

We went to Bella Italia for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. From the starters, the food was disappointing. I had Brushetta, which was topped with a mountain of tasteless tomatoes, and the brushetta was freezing cold. It's almost like it hadn't defrosted properly. The calamari that my son had was so awful, I don't really want to even think about it. The mains continued in a similar fashion. It was expensive and disappointing. We won't go again.

Food portions small. No heating we all set with coats on. The chairs look like they have never been cleaned full of stains. This place was good and we used it often but this has put us off.

Connie was so lovely with my 2 little boys and really went the extra mile to make my child's birthday special. Food was great. Have been several times now and not had a bad experience x

We visited on Thursday afternoon and the gentleman that served us couldn't have done more. He was super friendly and on top form! The food was tasty and came really quick.

We are always impressed with the quality of food and service here. It would be good to have some sessional ale on the menu, but it doesn't affect the score. I am happy to recommend it for parents with young children as they are very attentive to their needs and the quality of food for them is great.

A very mainstream Italian . Nice atmosphere. If you are I n Clifton moor and perhaps going to vue then this is a good place to eat - If you like Italian food . Don’t expect high cuisine just the loved standard dishes . Staff where great for us and the restaurant was warm and inviting.
