Really well prepared wholesome food served by staff who care about what they do.

Food was great! Good portions and the service was good.

My wife was away on holiday, and I was left to feed the kids, and thought I would treat them to a night out for dinner, and both were in real desire for an Italian. Was wary for a Friday night we may struggle, but we were able to get into Bella Fresca, and it was a excellent find. Good value meal (especially for kids) and the portions are very big, so the whole family will get fed for a really good price. Few drinks and a desert, and was shocked how reasonable the bill came too. If passing by will most certain decide to visit here again if looking for a goof Italian meal

Great meal, we had minestrone and meatballs to start. Both really tasty and came with top quality bread on the side, it was toasted for the meatballs. Pizza and lasagne for mains, again very tasty. Ordered onion rings as I seen them on another table, they looked amazing so we had to order. But they didn't taste of onion, could only taste the batter, not sure how that happened. Very relaxed atmosphere which I really liked, would return.

I thought as it had been newly refurbished and reopened it was worth a visit ,however I was disappointed .I choose chicken with a cream sauce and seasonal vegetables , no veg came only a large pile of mediocre chips . The chicken was dry and the sauce was under seasoned. My friend had battered cod ,it still has the skin on and although the batter was crispy it didn't cover all the dish .

Ordered pizza and got piece of metal in with topping .not heard back from them staff member said manager would call me still waiting a week later .sent environmental health to restaurant

Friends brought us an itison deal, so we had a 2 course meal. Meatballs were excellent and the pizza was true Italian style with a good crust and thin base. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a good local restaurant.

Went for my birthday dinner last week and have been a few times before then. Food and staff are great. Love the Ice Cream too 👍

Just in and thought I would write a review. So many times I plan to, then I just forget. Using a ITISON voucher given as a Christmas gift for a 2 Starter/2 mains deal on the al la carte menu, myself and my wife visited Bella Fresca on the 5th Feb 24 for a lunch/dinner. Being quite hungry we asked for a bowl of olives as an appetiser which was not part of the itison deal. They were large olives garnished with finely chopped garlic and tiny chilli's. The chillies were not too hot and with the dressing these were delicious to start I then had the Calamari and my wife the deep fried courgette flowers as the hot starter and both were cooked to perfection. Was now really looking forward to the mains and they did not disappoint. I had the Seafood Risotto and my wife the Seafood spaghetti. Each was packed with muscles, clams, squid, prawns, a queen scallop and one large langoustine. Both dishes were cleared and washed down for me with a nice white wine. My designated driver being on the San Pellegrino. Ok the dessert was not on the deal but after enjoying that so much we had to try. I had the Coconut cheesecake and my wife decided to try an assortment of the cannelloni's (Pistachio, chocolate and vanilla) washed down with an affogato. So back home and we wont be having dinner tonight as full to the gunnels and very very very full and satisfied We live in Giffnock, 5 miles away, so this was somewhere we would not normally eat out as we have a lot of Italian restaurant choice near us but after today I will likely be making the trip back over and would recommend anyone else to do the same. many thanks Bella Fresca TC

I have visited twice since the restaurant opened under new ownership and after giving the establishment the benefit of the doubt after my first visit, unfortunately my second wasn’t any better. On both occasions the food served to both myself and my partner was bland with very little seasoning, if any, added to the dish. Disappointingly, the pizza I chose on my second visit was dripping with oil making it extremely soggy and difficult to eat. My partner left the majority of her pasta dish as it wasn’t fully cooked. I have only rated Bella Fresca as highly because of the lovely waitress who catered for us. I’m sorry to report that we won’t be returning.

Had a lovely meal & a White Russian cocktail, service was friendly , will be back .

What a lovely restaurant. Fast, excellent service and great Italian atmosphere. We had just desserts and coffees, but it was enough to make me feel sweeter for the rest of the day 🧁🍰. The desserts were so tempting that I forgot to take a photo to share it in the review. I also recognized some of the Italian’s chefs who work there and believe me, they know what they are doing. You can tell the place deserves its great reputation. Will be back upon my return to Glasgow.

Four of us had an excellent Saturday lunch. Food quality & quantity both first class with service friendly yet professional making it a most enjoyable afternoon.

Was really disappointed tbh. Where do we start. Pasta was hard not cooked long enough, could barley cut bruschetta bread was so hard. Lasagne was bland no flavour just covered in mozzarella that’s all you could taste. Also ordered minestrone soup and was terrible didn’t look like soup. Used to live this place before it has been taken over. Safe to say won’t be back.

The food was delicious good portion size and all staff very friendly. Maverick was great with my 2 year old And spoiled her with ice cream and sweets she was loving it. Good customer service and tasty food we look forward to return!

We had a lovely dinner,this evening. Attentive,friendly service. Nice decor,although could do with turning off some of the spotlights or dimming and getting a better music system in, with nice tunes playing. Lovely food. We shared a margerita pizza with red onion and chips. My nephew opted for the fab kids menu . Me and my sister chose a fne glass of red wine,to wash it down.. All had ice cream for desserts. Keep up the good work team Maverick.

The pulled chicken pasta was delicious. Dessert was amazing. The staff are lovely.

Had dinner at Bella Fresca with my wife for our anniversary and it was an absolutely fantastic night. Everything about the evening was first class from the food to the brilliant staff. Always liked the place but the new owner is a terrific host and the staff were so attentive. Look forward to returning.

It's not as good as it used to be, sadly. Lost its soul. Used to be vibrant food and packed.

I do t think they are quite hitting the mark yet. The portion size is very small - about five chips as part of a focaccia sandwich , which was kinda basic to say the least. It’s local so I will keep going and hope it improves. Service lovely and no faults there, but food not quite hitting the mark

We were out for a lunch here. We got ministrone soup and the portion size was very small.We were given toast served with a ninistrone soup.I’ve never ever heard of this.Could it be the fact that they disguised older bread by toasting it.? It’s an authentic Italian restaurant we’re there speaking Italian and the man never offered me parmagabo cheese on my miserly portion of minestrone.Could the fact that I wasn’t offered the expensive parmagano cheese be cost cutting as well as the severe portion control that I saw here in my opinion.The minestrone was mediocre also I feel.I felt my who experience was one of cutting costs and making money instead of what was good for the customer.Will never be back

The food is first quality. Real Italian. Everything is super tasty in the semplicity. We've been for dinner (spaghetti quadrati with vongole are actually superb) and take away pizza. To be honest we hoped to have a pizzeria with this quality in the vicinity. Well done Maverik and all Bella Fresca staff

First time since reopened, coffee not great also tiny cup. Service slow and lethargic. Cheap ingredients in panni and limp not fresh salad leaves with no dressing. Poor vallue at 11 pounds . And dry bland food. White bumpy chairs cheap and uncomfortable. .

New owners, absolutely amazing bruschetta so tasty, macaroni cheese to die for. Staff very pleasant, well mannered, and attentive not in your face, reasonably priced, will definitely be back.

This was our first time visiting Bella Fresca by Maverik. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the chicken Contadinq, it was very tasty. My 2 year old son and husband had the Quattro stagioni pizza, and they really enjoyed them! The bases are lovely, stone baked. Portion size was great, I was too full for dessert, bu my son squeeze in an ice cream, and my husband got a slice of cheese cake to take away. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and will definitely be back again soon. Maverik the owner is great with all the kids, he had our son up picking a pastry to take away too! Fab service.

Lovely meal at Bella Fresca, our first under the new management. The food was delicious. We had the bruschetta, which had a lot of lovely marinated cherry tomatoes and the chicken pate for starters. For mains, we had spagetti bolognaise, rigatoni carbonara, and chicken with peppers. Two of our party found their main to be quite large, and we were told we could ask for smaller portions next time. Staff were very friendly and cooperative. For those people who remember it under the old management, there are slightly fewer options on the menu, but that doesn't detract from a great dining experience.

Nowadays, we have access to quality Italian food at click of a button; in such a climate I'm not sure Bella Fresca comes up to standard. Got anchovies to take away and they were completely inedible - tough, dry and tasted like they'd been left...

Bella Fresca is a lovely place to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The staff are lovely and always efficient and very attentive, it is such a relaxed and nice atmosphere even when busy, the service is amazing and the food is also amazing. I would highly recommend Bella Fresca to anyone who has been thinking about going.

On a shopping trip recently we were overcome with the munchies and decided to try out the Bella Fresca in Paisley road west as a little lunchtime treat. Despite being brought up in the area as a young man this restaurant was new to me...

If you want hearty, wholesome and generous portions you've found the right place. The pasta is aldente, sauces spiced to perfection and the pizzas fresh made, you'd really not taste anything better outside Italy. I always pop over if I'm on call doing house calls for my lunch/sandwiches there, as they are family run and not some franchise chain with sullen teens behind the counter. And now I know I can make bookings will defiantly be sorting a few family nights out in the coming months.

Great food, relaxing atmosphere.

Was very disappointed with Bella Fresca during my recent visit. I ordered spaghetti bolognese and a side portion of chips. The spaghetti could have been warmer and the side turned out to be French fries - the type you get in McDonald's. I was expecting chunky chips from an Italian restaurant. The tomato sauce was rather acidic - certainly not Heinz. What's more, the two scoops of ice cream were served in a small coffee cup. All that said, the service was first class.

Entertained our Canadian cousins here recently and the food was fabulous, service excellent aswell. You can taste the fresh ingredients and nice variations used on Italian food with a superb specials board on offer. 10 out of 10 well done to all the staff here.

Came here for a quick coffee before we had to pick our daughter up from nursery. Coffee was fine but staff not so much . Firstly had girl who made the coffees going on about her ear infection and how she needed syringing to get the ear cleaned. Not what I want to hear in a restaurant. Secondly had waiter with tattoos slagging off an old man whom obviously had dementia or something for taking a sun newspaper even though he was a customer who had paid for cakes . This was met by the coffee girl slagging him off and talking laughing about him . Poor show would had to think of anyone talking about my mum , grandparents in this way . Expected more of this place

Friendly old style Glaswegian Italian bistro and delicatessen. Warm, friendly and welcoming. Consistently good food (this was not my first visit). Thoroughly recommend.

We've just arrived home from Bella Fresca, celebrating my daughter's graduation. 12 of us had a fabulous Italian meal. We ordered a wide variety of foods from 3 different menus. All our courses arrived at the same time and the quality of food was excellent. The staff were very attentive, polite and friendly. We have been eating out at this restaurant since it was a wee deli about 22 years ago and I'm never disappointed. Thanks for the brilliant service and for making my daughter's evening memorable. ❤

My first time here. Monday lunchtime and the restaurant was full. Orders taken quickly and food and drink arrived promptly. Food was excellent and the service was very friendly. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely. Would definitely eat here again.

1st time in this restaurant and lived near it all my life and never visited. Arrived at shift change over so waited a good 8 mins for menus to arrive at table. Food was alright. 2 course for just under14 quid. Minestrone soup was tasty and piping hot this arrived rather promptly. Bread accompanied soup but with no butter. Waited absolute ages for main course which was a chicken dish from the set 2 course menu and a pizza. Asked staff member who was brushing the floor while people were eating there food which was a bit rude, if she could check as 3 tables that came in after us had food before us. She said oh it's cos it's cooked fresh and it's a chicken dish!! Food eventually arrived and it was nice. Bill was 3 drinks, 1 2 course and 1 main. £31.50. Not overpriced for what we had and value for money. The place has a nice unrushed feel to it and staff are attentive but not pushy. Would visit again.

Bella Fresca is our favourite Italian eatery, whether popping in for a coffee, a bite of lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and you never feel rushed to leave. Always best to book for evening dinner as you are unlikely to get a seat; it is that popular......us locals are very proud to have this wee gem in our locality.

I visit this lovely eatery on a semi regular basis, with my husband, family and friends. The food is always delicious from the breakfast to evening meal. Service is friendly and efficient. I would recommend booking for dinner, particularly at the weekend. Recommended.

Service was friendly and helpful. We were seated quickly and place was pleasant and clean. My son & I chose the 2 course evening meal for £13.95. We both had the mushroom starter which was tasty but only 3 mushrooms with a little sauce .. I had the chicken with green beans n capers with French Fries (frozen straight from across the road - Aldi) very disappointing and the chicken clearly was not fresh but tough. My son had the fish in sauce - nice but nothing special .. Overall I was disappointed very much with our meal and do not intend visiting this place again .. Not Recommended

After walking and driving this place for many years and always saying ' I really should visit' I eventually did, thanks to a friend booking a table. What a great friendly unhurried feel. Nonrush to getvyou out, we were thete passed their closing time and was not an issue. The food was outstanding, from the zitalian sausage starter to the Calzone, and then the ice cream, all very tasty and authentic. Choice of italian beers and wines were a good range, the Sicilian beer was nice, with a hint of citrus. All of us were very happy with the food we chose. It is a little more expensive thsn other italian restaurants round close by, but the food and atmosphere feels very authentic.

This is a brilliant place to eat,drink and relax. An Italian restaurant with a deli too. Food was fantastic, service was first class and all at a really reasonable price. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be back!.Thank you.

In a small row of shops sits this gem of a place quietly encasing a gastronomic heaven, I have never wanted to eat anywhere else when I am in this area. The only time I have ever been disappointed is when the polite and friendly staff had asked me to wait for a table as the place was packed. Every dish I have tried wether it be pasta or pizza or even the specials my tastebuds have been adoringly massaged with pleasantness. Don’t be cruel to yourself go and eat here.

we have been coming to bella fresca for years and every single visit the food is outstanding. my son Oisin is the fussiest child ever but in the last 8 years he's been going not once has he complained. I always my bday and mothers day meals here. so relaxed. food top quality. reasonable prices. I wouldn't hesitate twice in recommending this place
