Belgrave Hotel Bar in Pembrokeshire

Went to the restaurant at around 7pm (01/04/24). We were seated immediately by one of the staff members. Our food and drinks arrived in as little as 20-25 minutes. Our food was spectacular with no faults. The decor, atmosphere and the staff were amazing. It was really disappointing to see that there were not many people there as the food was great and well worth the money we paid for it. We stayed at the hotel around a year ago and didn’t get the chance to eat at the dining room and we wish we did. We didn’t catch the names of the staff but they went above and beyond to give us the best service we could possibly get. We will definitely be staying and eating here again! 😊

We have had another lovely Sunday Lunch today. After enjoying a Mothers Day lunch we decided to have another. The meal was lovely. And the bread and butter we had to start was a nice surprise. The staff really friendly. And also lovely surroundings with plenty off space between the tables. Nice sea views. Will definitely eat here again.

Room is alright, staff are fantastic and food is out of this world, I wish I ate there from day 1 I got one more day here and can honestly say, the staff 10/10 rushed off their feet but help asap and the food I’m fussy I wanted venison I was told it was in a stew not my thing but I’m most likely going to try it next time. The steak cooked perfect, chips brilliant the butter the bread I couldn’t put in to words how fantastic it all was and the service was great to.

Tried out the new menu at the Belgrave Hotel restaurant tonight and it was absolutely amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly - could cut it with a spoon! And it looked great presented on a big board with crispy but fluffy triple cooked chips. The atmosphere in the restaurant is so cosy, filled with fairy lights and candles. And the staff are so friendly too - they made our night really special. One of the nicest places to eat out in Tenby!

Absolutely beautiful place, very welcoming and friendly staff 😀 we had a fantastic stay, would definitely recommend, fantastic deals with the buy 1 main meal get one free.

Always love it here. Best views as right on the sea front. Popped in for a few drinks. The Christmas decorations were up and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Ready for tinsel and turkey.

The hotel room had very dated furnishings and a pink ensuite from the 80s but it was very clean and pleasant enough. The evening meal was quite poor, I had a mixed grill, the weirdest mixed grill I've ever had, everything in a pile in the middle of the plate with 3 dollops of coleslaw around the edges, not what I expected, the pork fillet was well cooked and was easily the best thing on the plate, the chicken breast was bland and dry but at least I could eat that, my problem was with the very dry chunks of beef and the ribs that had loads of fat that hadn't rendered, after spitting out 5 mouthfuls of gooey fat it puts you off your food, I eat a lot but felt sick and had to leave this mess of a meal half finished. The breakfast in the morning was 10/10 i would stay and eat here again, just wouldn't order their weird version of a mixed grill.

Absolutely disgusted with this place. My partner and I are residents and we live just a few doors up, ever been to the Belgrave restaurant before but wanted to give it a try, walked in around 7pm, December night, no staff when we walked in and walked through the restaurant to sit down only 1 table with 2 slightly drunk men in the restaurant not another body in sight. Waited 15 mins and no one came to see us so my partner went to the bar to order food and drinks, they said to him so we have a booking for food, he said no as there was no one inside they said sorry food only at request of booking, with 2 body’s in the building our money was no good to them, it’s disgusts me that a business can operate off season by turning people away, we will never try here again, we will never recommend and we were made to fill no good. Bad bad place.

Meals where gorgeous room was very warm good veiw from the sitting room as across the road was the beach staff were friendly made some new friends

My room was very small with a very asymmetrical shape. The bathroom has an exhaust fan with loud noise.

Ate here. The meal we had was 3 course and the food was excellent and very tasty.

Food here is lovely! Breakfast is amazing and cheap considering it’s £9.95 buffet style cooked breakfast. The chicken goujons, chips and mozarella dippers are outstanding. Hats off to the chefs!

The hotel is in a great location, they staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough ,the bedroom we had desperately needed painting and updating

From arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were excellent, they couldn’t do enough for you, all very polite and friendly. What can I say about the food?. Good size portions, hot, a very varied menu which would suit everyone. Fresh ingredients and always served with a smile. The location excellent, 2 minute walk to town for all facilities and overlooking South Beach. This was our first visit but it certainly won’t be the last. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable.

Stayed in s family room 310 .Nice spacious clean room for 4. Great views. Nice bathroom. Decor dated but OK. Appropriately price . Nice breakfasts . Great location for town and beach

Service was excellent especially Shirice, food was good and drinks for the all inclusive were very good. The hotel was clean but the room was not very big. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Perfect location for visiting Tenby.  Close to the beaches and the town.  Views amazing.  The public car park was minutes away and only £7 for 24hours.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  Room was perfect for what we needed. Beach - Water was the perfect temperature for March and the sand was soft.  Great views and bracing sea breezes.  Perfect for al fresco fish and chips

Myself and my family had a meal on the Saturday which was not only large but stunning as well. We returned on the Sunday for roast and was not disappointed. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming especially max. We will definitely return.

Lovely big room, no sea view but room was spotless with a walk in wardrobe, double bed too hard though so my wife slept in the single bed which was softer, lovely hot shower and plenty of tea and coffee sachets on request. Drinks a bit expensive in the bar but friendly staff.

Great hotel! Hotel staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Food is amazing and well presented. Good location, 5 minutes walk to the beach ,and also 5 minutes walk to the town . Downstairs is amazing , rooms a tiny bit dated but will be amazing as the rest of the hotel before too long I'm sure , they are large n clean though, tea and coffee facilities in the room. SHOWER WAS CLASS!!

We stayed as part of a coach party and as soon as we arrived were warmly welcomed. Everyone was so helpful and nothing was any trouble for them. The restaurant staff especially Jess were lovely and cheerful. Same in the bar with Zam. Lovely person. All the staff are a credit to you. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just spent a really enjoyable weekend at the Belgrave Hotel 4th floor. It was clean throughout, & once a room has been cleaned, there's a signed seal over the door, that reassured you that no one had accessed the room since being attended to. The communal areas of the hotel downstairs looked quite bright & decorated nicely, though the bedroom & bathroom we stayed in, could do with a bit of an update, although I accept, that finances may be a bit tight due to enforced closures over the last 2 years. The carpets were quite worn, although spotlessly clean, & the bath & sink were very 80's pale pink & looked a bit tired. The shower was very slow, & the sink taps were a bit loose, & needed to be turned a few times before water ran. Saying this, it did not affect our stay at all. The full English breakfast was tasty enough & quite reasonable at £7.95, but we didn't eat at the hotel during the evening, although the menu looked quite varied. The waitresses were very cheerful & pleasant. The hotel is very close to the beach, shops, bars & restaurants, though many were closed due to recent Covid restrictions & also the time of the season too. We would highly recommend The Baytree Restaurant, but would advise booking ahead of your stay. Excellent service, & the food is amazing.

Only got here today but service in all aspects is fab . Really enjoying it . Me and my partner are really happy . Upgraded to a double with a view for free as we booked on booking.com and only had twin room left . The staff are really pleasant and accomodating . Need i say more .... will drfo be back again

Me and my Husband stayed here 13th-17th Dec 2021 as part of a coach party. I have food allergies and mobility problems EVEN WHEN IN CONTACT WITH THE HOTEL FROM 2 MONTHS BEFORE AND UP TO 3 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. Right from the start there were problems The hotel was staffed with what I call half-jobs (Staff that only do half of their job with a i'm ok who cares about you attitude and don't do their job properly because the know they can get away with it and still get paid) After travelling all day (around 8 hours) and arriving around an hour late, we were kept on the coach so you could use the excuse of Covid Regulations and the pathetic attempt at humour made us even later by letting us off two by two. To enter the hotel this was more for your pathetic staff to cope with the numbers arriving at once. As later in the week when the coach arrived back full there was no control at all. (NONE OF THIS WORKED AS MY HUSBAND AND I REPORTED A POSITIVE COVID TESTS AFTER WE RETURNED FROM YOUR HOTEL). Food not very good lots of room for improvement Dietary requirements can be hit or miss whether catered for or not (at least 2 mistakes when I ordered food even after giving advance notice before arrival of allergies). There was problems with just about every food service from dangerous mistakes in serving soup with cream in to somebody who is lactose intolerant, Luke Warm pork served with hot gravy, Cold veg, Old dried up chips, Breakfasts too dried up and hard to cut never mind eat. And other dry over cooked dishes from a very limited menu. The bar had a very poor selection of drinks with no draught beer. Hotel is not suitable for guests with mobility problems with lift stopping on half landings between floors and at least 18 stairs to your room. The only good thing is the views across the bay from some rooms! Most of the staff are friendly and helpful but you always get the odd one. The hotel and rooms are clean but outdated in places with a Care Home type feeling and carpets in bathrooms of all places (Gross). IF THE HOTEL IS GOING TO USE THE EXCUSE THEY ARE SHORT STAFF BECAUSE OF COVID. WHY DON’T THEY JUST TAKE LESS BOOKING NUMBERS AND DO A GOOD JOB FOR THEM, RATHER THAN HAVE TOO MANY, THAT THE BASIC STANDARDS SUFFER AT THE EXPENSE OF THE GUEST. THERE IS ONLY ONE ANSWER FOR THIS GREED! IT SHOULD BE RIGHT FROM WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE DOOR UNTIL YOU LEAVE! We was also not informed properly about a gluten free option to mince pies and Christmas cake or about sherry or the cheap fizzy wine available until the second day of our stay. Turkey and tinsel yes it was offered if and when you wanted it. It would have been better all on one set night. But I suppose you lost the ability to do that by closing the main restaurant at this stupid time of year at the inconvenience of your guests. (A bit more of the I'm OK who cares about you attitude) prevented this from happening. I leave these comments as a statement informing others who are stupid enough to think of staying what to expect.

My wife and I stayed here from 13th to 17th Dec 2021 and will not be returning here again. The only good thing is the views across the bay from some rooms! Turkey and tinsel advertised but not delivered, Entertainment advertised but not delivered,

Don't usually stay here in Tenby, but was a lovely room and one of the few places to get a late drink!

The staff are friendly and professional at all times, ok the hotel is a bit dated bit it's very clean a nice place to stay .

Staff were great, breakfast lovely and location was so convenient, breakfast is extra but at this price more than worth it. Room's a little worn but very clean. I'll stay again without a doubt

Only popped in for coffee which was very nice, staff are not the most friendly which is a shame. Chairs look tired.

When we arrived i asked about parking and i was told quite sternly that it was what it was ! The reception area was quite nice and clean .We went up 1 flight of stairs and it started to change the carpet was filthy and walls very shabby ! We found our room there was a lovely very large bed that was great .But there was wallpaper coming off the walls a huge gap at the bottom of the door that the light shon through all night .I have never stayed in such a noisy place I know they cannot be responsible for guest noise but every movement from surrounding rooms can be heard 🙉 i think with all the time they have been closed issues could of been addressed even all the rubbish at the back of the property where we parked .

Room was very dated but clean and the bed was comfortable with good pillows. Floorboards were a bit creaky but it’s an old building, so got to expect this. On arrival, I didn’t really feel like a valued customer - more like I was disturbing the seemingly stern lady in charge. So, it’s ok but I won’t rush back. Really, the best thing about this place is the location. It’s overlooking the sea, right next to a long term car park and adjacent to the south beach. You really want a room with a sea view though!

My partner and I had a lovely evening. Just a quick drink. But set in a lovely hotel.

We had a great stay here our room was an ocean view and we just sat at the window for about an hour just watching the world go by it was amazing

We stayed in room 312, some 8yrs ago, & decided on a last minute weekend break, last weekend, & much to our suprise, we were put in room 312 again!! And would you believe, absolutely nothing has been done to the room!! Still extremely dated, in decor. No wi-fi signal, throughout the hotel, which is needed in this day/age. All the staff at breakfast, were lovely, very helpful indeed, as was the lady on reception. They state on their website, they are now back open, & up & running as normal… we’ll it’s not!! As normally, there would be a self serve buffet breakfast, where as now, you have to give your order at your table… Really cannot see us returning any time soon… Is much rather pay a little bit extra for a classier & cleaner hotel…

Ground floor is quite smart and the food pleasant, bar tiny and claustrophobic. Rooms are very shabby and feel very odd!

Location good, staff friendly, bedroom clean and tidy, dining room layed out well,menu set for the week if your a vegetarian not a great selection, Tenby is a great place to visit

Excellent food, the Sunday roasts are large portions plenty of meat and veg and the cajoun chicken burgers are Excellent tender and juicy and great flavour nicely warms the throat .

Hotel is in a great position. Staff very friendly and helpful. My room for a one night stopover was sufficient with plenty of tea and coffee in room. Everything in room worked, hotel and room outdated could do with a makeover. On the whole, nice place to stay.

Rooms are a little dated, Breakfast was ok, but the location is good. The views are the selling point. Parking isn't free only if you are lucky to get a space on the street outside, otherwise you have to pay and display 100 yards away. It cost us 14 pounds for 2 days parking. The staff are friendly and willing to help.

The walls were thin, the floor was wonky and the view could've been better.

Went for breakfast whilst visiting Tenby, no booking needed and was sat at a table with a stunning view of the beach. Breakfast was a good price with either a choice of a set breakfast or your choice of 8 items for 7.95, this included a rack of toast, 6 pieces, at no extra cost. Great value. An ideal way to start the day.

Disappointing!! Very sml room supposed to be double sea view paid 260 2 nights sink in one corner of room shower and toilet in other corner with foldi g door size of telephone box. Breakfast! Let's just say have u ever watched faulty towers, all that was missing was John cleeves. Had to ask for everything from butter for toast salt tea juice as for marmalade asked for some and got 1 a mpule obviously thin gs were on ration. Tried to get waitresses attention but I could see she was too busy eating toast , missed breakfast following day couldn't cope with the hastle go there at your peril if u want a Terri le experience. Food was fantastic. We had roast beef dinner on a Sunday. And black forest fruit slice/homemade vanilla cheesecake with raspberry coulis for dessert. Desserts were really good value for money considering they are homemade and delicious! Eating area very nice and a bonus we got a window seat overlooking the beach. Can't comment on the rooms as did not stay here, but would definitely recommend eating here when in Tenby. Forget all the crowded bars/pubs. Quality food here.

We popped in for an evening meal, passed this hotel for years and never come in, my roast of the day (beef) was absolutely beautiful, husband had the butterfly chicken, he too said what a lovely meal, friendly clean and quick service, thankyou

Rooms have lovely views. We had evening meal taken in the room. It was excellent, so presume this is whAt to is like normally. Only issue is the rooms could do with a little update, but understand given the current climate the money isn't there. Bed comfortable and shower. All on all a good night's stay.

Absolutely shocking the state of the room,£62 per person,no sea view,tv doesn't work Only booked here as there was no where else in tenby to stay,so no wonder this hotel was the only place with vacancies

We popped in for a late lunch and were welcomed warmly, despite being thinly staffed the service was swift and quality high. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend based on that alone, but in addition everything seemed very clean and the dining room had lots of space between tables.

Nice location overlooking the sea. There is scope for improvement with the rooms and the food.

Great view nice decor and chilled out atmosphere

Pretty weak services comparing with the prices. Also no wi fi which was frustrated for me as no signal on phone as well. And if you have breakfast included be sure that you'll eat the same food again and again and again with no options. But they are quite optimistic as each morning will ask you what would you like for breakfast(I said 7days in a row that I don't want toast and 7days in row they put toast on table for me...). Maybe they are hopping in a change over night. The cleaning is in doubts as well, so be careful.

Rather dated but cosy. No telephone in the room so if you want something and you're not on the first floor you've got a bit of a trek.

We did not stay at the hotel but were self catering nearby si went in most days for meals drinks and breakfast the staff were superb very friendly and could not do enough for you lovely a lovely waitress called shannon was very attentive ki

We had a huge spotless room with a sea view that was absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole hotel is charming. Hot water is a little slow to run but not a major issue, it just requires patience. We really enjoyed out stay and plan to visit again next year.

Quirky building, great food, clean, comfortable, reasonable price, friendly

Wasn't staying but my friend was, but because of one member of staff called Roger, I will never stay at the hotel, he was aggressive and rude and swore!!!

Very helpful staff, nice views of sea and coast. Rooms leave a lot to be desired mine was a double but with a washbasin in the room. Toilet and shower in a wardrobe size cupboard. TV ruined by gale force winds blowing and at nights deafening thumping from electronic drums and bass from entertainment in area on ground floor right below my room. I give them full marks for intentions and a very tidy attractive seating area but they need to improve on many things

This hotel is an ok place to stay for a quick visit in Tenby, reasonable room at a reasonable price, and a sea view. Had an evening meal there and was ok and not that expensive, breakfast was a well organised help yourself, and good too! If you're on a budget I would recommend.
