After a few years I can finally say that we are customers, due to the good service and good disposition of Sonia, the delicious mixed croissants, pastel nata and Bifana sandwich. Really enjoyed my visit to Bela Lisboa, been twice planning to return 😀

Got there 23:30 to get refuse service ..not recommend at all .

Wanted to try but everytime we pass there are obnoxious people shouting very loud!Always drinking,smoking by the door.Ive passed by a few times to people having loud frightening arguments in their phone,I now avoid.

The food is nice and the waiters very friendly. Avoid Fridays it's too noisy. Very good portions nice wine.

I ordered a Dourada that almost made me cry. I can not wait to go back again.

Amazing food however the atmosphere damages it because of the noisy regulars. I tried to enjoy a nice dinner with family but it's impossible with the regulars screaming their lungs out. It's a shame as its the only Portuguese Restaurant near me and the food is quite good Update: 12th March 2023 , happy to update my experience at this restaurant / Cafe, as per my previous review the food was never an issue for my low score , in fact it didn't stopped me from coming back once in a while as thw food is delicious, I believe the owners took my comment seriously as this is now a 5 star place where you can, not only enjoy the amazing food, but you can noe also enjoy it as family:) Big thank you the owners

Beautiful place to go, with a great atmosphere, amazing food and great customer service. I feel at home every time I’m going there because that is how they make us feel , from the food , to the collaborators or the owners I have to say , thank you , well done and keep going 🙏🏽

This is the Portuguese cafe that I've been going to for many years, I love the friendship of the owners, and meeting some friends for a coffee, the price is affordable but the most important thing is the attention and affection of the employees and management ☕🍰

I had dinner in a Bela Lisboa Restaurant, it was amazing. Its very pleasant place to be. Food is very taste, and it's a very friendly environment.

Had a mixed grill to die for, tender and succulent meat, spicy up with chilli chips and black beans at request. Great place to spend a good family time, ohhh and the newly introduced cheese starter what a gem. You got to try this place!!!!

Amazing experience at the facility, would definitely recommend. The staff are very polite and they make you feel home. Last but not least the food is amazing and i would recommend.

Looked forward to go out with my girls as it has been a while. But the night was spoiled for me because my food was not cooked properly and no resolution was offered(octopus and vegetables). I did try to eat the octupus out of politeness at first, but could not go on as it was really tough and not cooked properly, very rubbery. Upon making the waiter aware, I was thanked for the feedback and no resolution offered. Further down the evening I was given feedback from the waiter and an apology as the octopus was not of best quality. Conclusion, I could not finished the food as it was not eatable apart from the vegetables, they blamed it on the food instead of offering a resolution and I did pay the full price. I did not want to make a scene so I just paid. I really hope they learn how to cook octopus and get better on their customer service for problem solving. Please understand this is just my experience today and my feedback for it. Based on my experience I would not recommend at this point as there is a lot of work to be done to improve. All the best to the business.

Traditional Portuguese food: great!

Total disappointment. Poor quality of food. Paid close to £70. Will never return. Dry chicken. No sauces. Horrible steaks. Waiter brought over a seafood platter for my kid and tipped all the juices on to her lap. This I can forgive as an accident: but I find the food inexcusable. They even charge £4.50 for the bread basket and olives at the table before you've ordered.

I had an amazing cod with punched potatoes served on a delicious bed of spinach with olive oil and garlic ,my wife had Octopus served with the same vegetables. Children loved their food too in a relaxed cafe setting. Great relaxed atmosphere. There is restaurant too which is open sometimes but tonight was precooked for a birthday event.

Ok I'm gonna give it 3 stars unfortunately as they take quite a long time to serve the food and drinks, ordered a caipirinha and margarita took 30 minutes to come not to mention the food however the staff was friendly and the food quality was great. They were understaffed with only 2 people serving the tables and 1 chef on a Saturday evening which is not acceptable, otherwise nothing if it wasn't for customer service I would probably not return.

The restaurant area was closed so they served dinner from the cafe, staff were unprofessional and extremely slow, food took more than 40 minutes after ordering to come and for a numerous time staff kept forgetting small things like bringing salt or sauces. Wasn't happy with the food and the freshness of it either.

This place is a hidden Gem. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is a proper restaurant. The food is 10/10 and everytime I have ordered something different and the food never disappoints. Customer service is sublime and the prices are cheap. No need for Nandos when you have a place like this.

Absolutely a five star quality food and service. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening of 4. The food is divine and to be honest I’m still thinking about the tiger prawn. Oh and the Cataplana. I could go on all day. We are making this place our monthly place for dinner. So thankful to have discovered this place. Thank you to everyone for a memorable evening

Place to visit if you live in England

Waited for the server to finish talking with the guy leaning on the counter drinking a beer... when I’m finally seen to, I ask for a tuna panini she looks at me like I said the stupidest thing ever and asks “what is panini?”. So I’m like “what do you mean? Panini...you know, sandwich”. To which she replies very condescendingly “sandwich is dismissed” and starts pointing at the more expensive items on the menu. All while there is a little sandwich menu on top of the glass she is talking to me over

Looks can be deceiving, my Portuguese friend took me here and what came was a surprise. Food was well cooked, fresh and delicious. I would return, not the cheapest place but worth it.

At the same location as the former O Galo restaurant but under new ownership. An excellent little Portuguese restaurant and cafe (there are separate restaurant and cafe areas) serving all the drinks and food you'd expect... Super Bock, Sagres, fishcakes, chorizo bread, custard tarts, etc, etc. Haven't tried the main restaurant yet but menu looks pretty authentic with plenty of bacalhau recipes. Has a large TV showing Portuguese TV channels and there is also free wifi. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.
