Lovely evening celebrating my parents' wedding anniversary. Staff were attentive and responsive. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Excellent experience.

Amazing food brilliant choices on menu the young girls serving helpful and cheery..so were the oldies lol. The atmosphere was relaxing and our group were able to chat for hours ..this place is a hidden gem..clean.. inviting. A must to go to restaurant ..well done the chefs and staff.. five stars from us...couldn't fault it at all...🥰

Family meal last night 20/10/23 menu was varied which catered for everyone 3yr-70yrs. Each meal was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Meal out for my sisters bday all the food for us 4 guests was super tasty Well presented and freshly cooked. As the only vegetarian, I always find something enjoyable and different to eat. The food was amazing regards-less of the course.The staff where friendly attentive and made the whole experience enjoyable! Can’t recommend enough.

There is an interesting menu and food is served quickly. The German beer is really tasty. The service is very friendly.

Whilst the food was nice, it's vastly overpriced...£15 for a vegetable patty (which was suspiciously like one you would by in a cheap pack of 4) chips and a smokey sauce but no bun...it was worth, at most, half of that cost...bottles of wine are hugely overpriced also....on the plus side, the staff were lovely but they need to have a look at their prices quickly.

Called for a takeaway, was able to pickup within 10 minutes. Had the milwakukie, with boiled rice and fries on the side. Was excellent. Love the cajun sauce, got them to take the mushrooms out. Been ages since I've had meal from Beiderbecks. Won't wait so long the next time. Highly recommend.

Just been here for date night and wasnt disappointed. My sexier other half had a fantastically well cooked steak (bigger than the slither of beef from The Giddy Grill and cheaper too!). I was tempted by the aptly named "Highlander" which was two perfectly cooked and spiced chicken breast fillets with a couple of decent slices of haggis. Rostis were a little disappointing as were frozen, but ultimately the whole experience was very pleasant. Very nice cosy atmosphere, even when it started to get busy. Table service was great and my other half remembered him from 10 years previous at another restaurant so very experienced front line staff. Well worth a visit.

Busy restaurant but everything in place for Covid-19. Had Chicken Fajitas which were superb. All in all great night and great food.

This restaurant is amazing every time. When we lived in the city centre we would go here regularly and since moving to the outskirts of town we hadn’t been in a while and it was so nice to go back and know they are still doing great food! During the current situation they are doing takeaway as well as eating in so we collected our order and brought it home it was well packed and still tasted amazing! Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back!

No puedo alabar lo suficiente de Beiderbecke. Comida sensacional de la cómoda variedad casera, bien presentada y servida con prontitud por un personal amable. Tenía la chimenea para empezar, una revelación absoluta para un comedor de carne: salchicha Cumberland en cubitos con morcilla en una salsa cremosa de pimienta. Irreal. Mi pareja comió sopa de patatas y puerros, que también entusiasmó. El resto de la comida también fue excelente, pero deja algo de espacio para la delicia de frambuesa, una verdadera joya de postre. Volveremos lo antes posible.

Just had our first delivery tonight. I ordered the Cincinatti Shuffle and it was absolutely amazing!! The sauce was soooooo tasty and the veggies were cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the Dizzie Gillespie Burger and he loved that too. The food arrived early and was still hot. Couldn't fault it at all.

Ordered a takeaway tonight,phoned to place our order, the girl that took our order very pleasant, received our order delivery guy also very cheery and pleasant, lastly our food was excellent, and not long to wait on it either👍

Beiderbecke es una joya escondida. Comida a mitad de semana fuera. Había reservado el día antes de haber oído cosas buenas al respecto. Entró y estaba muy sorprendido, en el buen sentido. Inmediatamente, el ambiente se sentía bien y nos sentamos frente a un fuego que era tan bueno teniendo en cuenta que hacía mucho frío afuera. Nos dieron menús y pedimos algunas bebidas. El menú tenía una gran lista de opciones vegetarianas y veganas. Lo cual es un cambio refrescante. El plato para compartir vegetariano (popurrí del paseo marítimo) que fue un entrante fue muy bueno, y definitivamente recomendaría las picaduras de jalepeño. Son sorprendentes. Todo fue, pero ese fue mi favorito. La frescura de la comida era muy buena. El popurrí de Cleveland tenía la masa más ligera. Y las verduras estaban tan frescas como el relleno del pastel. Tuve sorbete de postre y el sorbete de champán especialmente fue perfecto.Es muy bueno en Beiderbecke tener una cantidad tan buena de recién cocinado, con un sabor increíble que no es carne / lácteos.Los precios son más que razonables y el personal no podría haber sido más acogedor.

El lugar estaba saltando a las 5 pm un sábado por la noche. Teníamos el legendario pastel de pollo y aros de cebolla para mi esposo con una cerveza. Tuve las fajitas vegetarianas halloumi y una sidra. La comida era deliciosas porciones frescas y abundantes. El menú parecía extenso especialmente para vegetarianos y veganos. El personal era encantador y súper eficiente. Bien vale la pena una visita.

Cosy eaterie for small functions.

I drove to Dundee from Ayr to have dinner with my daughter. We chose this restaurant out of four that her friends recommended. We were not disappointed! Great friendly service and lovely food that was very reasonably priced! The vegetarian pizza (& I’m not vegetarian) has to be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! Obviously freshly made! A 240 mile round trip to spend a couple of hours with my daughter is worth it anyway, but such a lovely meal made the evening even more special.

This was amazing. Went here with 6 adults and a baby and the staff were great. Food was lovely, waitress was really friendly and meal was cost effective. My partner spilled near full cocktail and it was replaced free of charge! Would recommend this place 100%!

Was here with a bunch of ladies who go to aqua aerobics at least two days a week.... some go on a tuesday and some go a thursday so it was a great chance for both days and different members to meet up.....The staff were ever so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much bother for them even when three didnt turn up.....The place was spotless and very inviting and we had a lovely section at the front where we were seated away from other diners....Just as well as 14 ladies chatting would make enough noise to drown a choir......Everyone drank from wine to cocktails and all were reasonable prices especially the carafe of cocktails.......I had the one oclock jump.........heaven...The food menu has so much to choose from including the vegeteraian one as well....my friend couldnt decide but finally had the vegatble pie she said it was the best ever...Everytime I go there are four things that are my favourites and they dont change.......other times the menu changes of course so this time I had the fruggledorf, it was chicken with a sauce , salad and chips and was delicious. Also menus on the board for specials..... Others had burgers, platters, steak pie, and other items off the menu........We were tasting each others lol.......but one thing we didnt share was our puddings.......the white chocolate cheescake was delicious so I am told but I always have the junkyard sweet.....ice cream, match sticks, snowball......my lips are lickn even now at the thought of it...lol..Overall this place is a hidden gem and it is just a pity it is not opened more lunch times as I and my friends would be there regular as we go for lunch every week.I and my friends had a lovely time there and are now rearranging another visit for the coming Xmas night out.......Congratulations to the staff who run a very busy and lovely restaurant.......

As an undergraduate in the 90s I used to visit Beiderbeckes with my now wife and now it has reopened in a new location it has kept the character, charm and delicious food. The Mexicana stir fry I had was just mouthwatering and my wife and mother in law attested that their meals were equally delicious. The service too was equally inviting and our server and the rest of the team really made our night.I highly recommend a visit!

Dissapointed no tables available then they said we could have one as people had pushed back their booking. Decided against it as music was not "jazz" and the menu was pricey, looked nice but in this instance not to be for us.

Me encanta este restaurante, tiene un ambiente fantástico, el personal es muy amable y acogedor, y la comida es excepcional. Fui con mi familia el sábado por la noche, todos teníamos algo diferente del extenso menú y cada plato era muy sabroso, cocinado a la perfección. Tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio y también debes probar un cóctel, ¡son increíbles! Estuvimos aprox. 30 cada uno para 3 platos, incluyendo vino y cócteles, que es un valor fantástico, mi madre dijo que el budín (Boston Reel) era el mejor que había probado en su vida.

Mi novia Gill y yo (fae Dundee) fuimos a comer aquí antes de ir a ver a Janet Godley (presunta comediante). Desde el exterior no parece mucho, pero una vez dentro no me decepcionó, el restaurante tiene un gran ambiente y el personal era amable, a pesar de que hablaban Dundonian, logramos resolver lo que quería, señalando el menú. comiste una hamburguesa Biloxi? con patatas fritas caseras y una Pepsi. Gill hizo repartir el escalope con 3 botellas de vino caro.

A jazzy theme to the place with a good mix of music. Service was good & the food was excellent, washed down with a tasty German beer. Easy parking & close to the town centre. Definately not one to miss

Our B & B, Dupplin 152 (Fiona was a retired chef) told us this was her favorite place so why not give it a try. It didn't disappoint. There was a good variety of meal choices, many we have never heard of and all reasonably priced. I had the Manhattan and my wife had the Shanghai Chicken Stir. Both the food and service were excellent. We lucked out as we were sitting beside one of the owners wives, Maureen and we had a great visit learning she had just returned from a trip to our country Canada. You won't be disappointed.

¡Mi primera visita aquí fue recomendada por mi primo que es un entusiasta serio! He pasado aquí muchas veces en auto y nunca pensé entrar, ¡pero no volveré a pasar! Desde que pusimos un pie en la puerta, una joven camarera nos dio una cálida bienvenida y nos mostró nuestra mesa. La decoración era bonita y acogedora, pero me costó mucho leer el menú, ya que estaba bastante oscuro y la escritura era pequeña, pero una vez que lo leí, la elección fue excelente. Muy buen servicio, no agresivo, experto y servicial con nuestras opciones.

Esta es la segunda vez en pocos años que estoy aquí, y no ha cambiado mucho. Hay un gran menú variado y un menú para niños decentes. La comida era de gran calidad y el personal era amable y atento.

Visited Biederbeckes last night with my mum, my boyfriend and his parents. We had a lovely meal and the atmosphere was really lovely. I am a huge fan of Beiderbeckes and visit often. Last night I had the Mexicana which was a beef stir fry with a spicy sauce, rice, poppadoms and salad! It was delicious. Bryans parents had never been before and really enjoyed their meals. It’s always such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere - never feel rushed and nothing is too much trouble.

Food was excellent, our waitress was very friendly Will definitely return.

Llamado para reservar una mesa. El hombre en el teléfono era brusco y desinteresado. Fui esa noche a cenar. Miró a la fritura y simplemente no podía creer el precio de 16. 95, simplemente no entiendo por qué son tan caros? Pedimos pastel de pollo. Bastante sabrosos pero los rosti de papa están congelados. Socio ordenó la hamburguesa. Muy pequeña y completamente sofocada en salsa BBQ, tanto que el rollo estaba empapado. La pizza era lo suficientemente agradable. Muy caro y solo necesita un poco de mejora.

We love Beiderbeckes for the amazing food and it's always busy and lively at weekends. We are from Dundee so have been going our whole lives - and they have always had lots of good quality vegetarian options. I'm veggie and had the pakora starter which was tasty and the last time I went I had the Savanna Swing fajitas as they were new. They were made with halloumi cheese and were the best I've ever had! My friend had sesame prawns then a steak and she also likes the restaurant in general for the music and decor. The cocktails are also delicious and I've only managed sweet once because the portions are huge.

Visited last night with other members of staff, arrived to find a warm and welcoming atmosphere inside. The staff were equally friendly and welcoming and we were made to feel relaxed and at ease. The menu was extensive and had a fabulous vegan and vegetarian choice. The food when it arrived looked great and tasted wonderful.

Visited with friends on a Thursday evening it was busy but not packet out. Friendly staff but on ocassion drink ordering and food ordering a bit slow. We ordered various starters and mains all food was freshly made and tasty. But felt due to the waiting staff being very young , the service could of been better, due to their inexperience of keeing on top of things. Just needs a few tweaks here and there to rectify this

First time here and it was not a disappointment! We were a party of 10 and everyone had a great meal. Food was delicious the menu was varied and cocktails were good. Highlight for me was dessert, a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake which was amazing! Portions are plentiful so 2 courses were more than enough. Staff attentive and friendly and it had a cosy atmosphere. Looking forward to returning soon

Took my other half for his birthday after always wanting to eat here. So glad we did! Absolutely fantastic food and cocktails. The service was amazing and even though food is cooked to order, it was really quick. Large selection on the menu to choose from and as a vegetarian, there are loads of veggie and vegan options, much more than most places. The halloumi is delicious and probably the best I've ever tasted! Would highly recommend. Will definitely be going back soon.

Having enjoyed this restaurant and it's take away during my time living in Dundee, I'm always keen to return and experience my favourite, Louisana Chicken again.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday 13th for my 40th birthday! A small place, but delicious freshly cooked food, and great service from all the staff. Would definitely come again! Great choice of meals - we all had something different.

Love the food in this restaurant and especially because they have a separate menu for gluten free food. Food was delicious but the room was a bit noisy and so it was difficult to have a conversation. A less busy time would have been better

Ordered the vegetarian fajitas which were made up of halloumi and vegetables and I swear they are the best fajitas I've ever had in my life! Starters were all lovely too, will definitely be back

I don't quite understand the high ratings on here. This place is perhaps a Dundee stalwart, but I cannot grasp the popularity. Whilst the staff and atmosphere are fine, it's very dated decor wise, and the peculiar menu options are baffling. I had Madison Avenue - a mix of chicken strips, mushrooms and cubed roast potatoes smothered in a decent peppercorn sauce. I wasn't convinced with the description, but thought I may as well give it a chance. It was just ok, although the portion size was adequate for a 10 year old. Very dated crockery. Very limited and somewhat overpriced, I'd avoid next time.

The menu is a good size and there is good choice also! The food was cooked really well and very tasty, however it was quite expensive for drinks and that’s why I gave a 4 star! Other than that it was pretty good

Great place for relaxed atmosphere great food

Our night of engagement celebrations was ruined as my wife was soaked as the waitress dropped a full pint of beer down her back. We realise that this was indeed an accident, but everyone was aghast apart from the staff ,they didn't seem to care. Our celebrations were short lived as we had no option but to go home soaked and smelling of beer. No compassion was shown at all.

First time I have had the opportunity to visit Beiderbeckes since the old days when it was on the Perth road. Some parts of the menu have not changed dramatically over the years and nothing wrong with that - give the customer what they want and like! We came together for a family meal, some of the party really enjoyed the option of the lighter choice summer supplement menu, and it even catered for the Vegan in our group. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the service was great, and it still retains a classy southern state vibe. We will return.

I have ate at Beiderbecks since they were on the Perth road which is Many Years ago. The menu has changed very little since then. The place is always busy and so I must be wrong but I now find the food average. Good quality but average. People do like what they are used to but I feel a couple of seasonal specials would make me go more. Only reason I visited was to use vouchers. You may be impressed on a first visit but bored after a few. ALSO the restaurant's lighting is very dark .
