Behesht Restaurant in Brent

We have been coming to behesht for years but was very disappointed this time round. The food was decent but service especially from the manager himself was very rude. We had had our mains and then asked to have some Iranian tea after, the manager then came and told us this wasn’t possible as they needed our table and basically kicked us out. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. One of our family members gave some feedback earlier on to the manager about charging for water and not having any tap water available. The manager didn’t take the feedback very well and I feel he took this quite personally and then just wanted us gone after that. I will not be recommending them again. As a service you do get feedback and complaints and I understand the restaurant was busy but you should never rush or deny someone from ordering from your menu especially if they’ve only been there for an hour from having starters and mains.

The food was not great. Unseasoned grilled food.

The food tasted OK and the portion size is also OK. Some of the staff members are very rude. When ordering food, we told them we want to order the drinks later, however when ordering the drinks, we were told off for not ordering the drinks with the food and now we have have to wait as it takes time to prepare a bottle of water. You don't get much of a service for your 10% of the service charge.

Food was excellent and the service was amazing.

Pros: Good food , the kebabs were absolutely amazing , good service considering we went during Ramadan and multiple tables were breaking fast, interior is very Persian Cons : seats abit uncomfortable, bigger bathroom space needed , parking options not the best

I came here last year with some friends and I was blown away! This place was lovely and amazing. The food was big portions and with a lot of flavour! We went for a variety of different courses which none let us down! The bread was made fresh with a baker at the front door soo as you walked in. I can’t fault this place at all. The service was great too we didn’t wait around to be seated and was served throughout our time dining here. I highly recommend this place and throughly enjoyed our time here.

Table setting is really poor, with large dining tables and hard chairs all cluttered together, so very uncomfortable to sit. A person who appeared to be the manager was extremely rude. I’ve never felt so insulted as a paying and polite customer! This guy needs to be taught some manners! You run a hospitality business, be polite not an arrogant little kebab! Food was basic Turkish style food, dry and no decent sauce options! Bland to say the least. Decor nice and traditional. Food price was ok, not too expensive. Staff not attentive at all. Waited 40 min for a basic salad and bread as starters! The guy must have gone to the fields to pick the tomatoes for the salad as I felt exhausted waiting for him to bring the salad. Overall I wish I didn’t drive 1.5 hours to go to this place, as my local which is 5 mins from house is way way better!

Went here for a family gathering. 6adults, 2children and a baby. Very child friendly had no problem with the children looking at the fish and playing. The food was well worth the prices too nuch food had too take home. Atmosphere was beautiful stunning and service was on point. Really highly recommend this place and will go again.

Behesht is the best restaurant I have been in my life, the dishes in their is so taste and high quality, also quantity. The atmosphere in there is amazing. They're so kind. I really recommend kashke badenjam, Nan, kebab koubideh and for dessert sonati ice cream

My experience being there several times is a wonderful place for quality, quantity and hospitality. You will never forget Iranian dishes taste there. I recommend kashk bademjan, kobideh and sonati ice cream, don't forget to ask fresh bread calls Nan.

Ive ordered online, over a month messed up my order and was delivered late, after calling dilveroo they "forgot" about my order. Thought I'll give them another try and decided to call directly for a pick up since I had a meeting not too far away. The guy on the phone closed the line (he heard him put down the phone, not a disconnect) mid conversation twice on my brother! I decided to pick up and call myself, after confronting the employee the gave a sarcastic huff, and passed the phone to the manager when was a thick in the head as a brick wall. didn't seem to want to resolve the issue or tell the member of staff off. Not sure how they get customers with service like that.

The cuisine is fresh and delightful, with the Kobideh being a standout dish. Portions are generously sized and efficiently serve two people, making this establishment an excellent value, especially compared to the pricing at other Persian eateries. On the flip side, the seating leaves much to be desired in terms of comfort, the ambience needs to hit the mark, and finding parking can be pretty challenging.

I went to this restaurant on Saturday 23rd March for Iftar time at 6. I travelled from Birmingham as it was my sisters birthday and I wanted this day to be special. I regret booking this restaurant and hated every second of this whole experience. we arrived 20 minutes late as there was traffic at that time and I did call them in advance to tell them I am running a little late and they told me once you are here speak to the manager which didn't make sense as I did just call to let them know I will be late. once we arrived there, the manager was already in a mood and was telling off another customer for being late, I told him I am aware I am late however I did call and he told me to sit and wait which at this point I was too tired and I didn't want my sisters and brother to travel back to central London for food so I waited. we managed to get a table after waiting 54 minutes by the waiting area which was absolutely jam packed. the seating space was a joke, it didn't feel like a calming space to sit and actually enjoy a conversation, everything was rushed and they made us feel like they wanted us out as they had people waiting. They forgot our fries for the main and then decided to bring the bill with the fries included which i mentioned we never had it as it never arrived. the manager then decides to have a go at his waiter infront of us and others that he is not fast enough which was not acceptable. The whole experience was the worst i have ever had and I will never return to this zoo looking restaurant with the unprofessional customer service from the manager who needs his attitude fixed and needs to understand he is in the food industry business and his customer service is the lowest of the low. Do not go to this place and the food was not worth all this headache!!!!!!

The worst service. Busy. Noisy. I haven't had such bad food in a long time.In the picture of the hall, you can see that it has a capacity of about 50 people, but when you go there, the number of seats is 100.

First time eating at the restaurant. The service was amazing the atmosphere was great and the food was exceptional with very generous portions. One of the best Persian restaurants we have been to for a long while. Definitely recommend We visited a second time yesterday and to be honest the food wasn’t to same standard as the first time we tried. Everything was very oily and our appetisers were served with the main course. Hence I’ve given an over all 4 stars

Forcing people to pay service charge by using “it already says it on the menu” is a scam and should be abolished! It is my choice whether i’d like to tip the waiter or not. Do not force people into your petty scams and try squeeze more money out of them. When I refuse to pay, you start using tactics “oh has my service been bad? Can you tell me what it is I have done wrong?” Then calling your manager over to force the charge. Completely put me off coming to your restaurant ever again until you remove the pathetic charge you apply by choice. It is not a government policy and nobody is forced into it. Every time I come to your restaurant, I have an issue. Either rude staff, rude management or clueless waiters that don’t know what they’re doing. Don’t be fooled by the amount of reviews they have. I guess if you’re Persian they’ll treat you like royalty, if not, good luck having food at Behesht

Very Poor service arrived with my family for a celebration, had a reservation. I was told that no table free and to just wait. Very rude and dismissive. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Worst service I have ever received. In the end after waiting 40 minutes we left and found a better restaurant with Excellent service. If you want great Persian food Sufi on Askew Road is your best bet good quality food and extremely Fantastic service.

Behesht came with a reputation but sadly did not meet our expectations when we visited at the end of January. On arrival we were seated in what was a fairly cramped space, considering that there was a lot of space in the room we were in, this seemed unnecessary. We ordered our food and beverages but were informed that tap water was not something that the restaurant provided - I would highlight to the restaurant that this is a legal requirement of any restaurant in the UK. The food arrived quite quickly - we ordered starters and mains, but for all the positives that the speed of the service offered, this was let down by the overall quality and flavour of the food. The portion sizes in Behesht are sizeable, it is true, but this has a detrimental effect on the quality I would suggest. Possibly the biggest let down was the Zereshk Polo, usually a family favourite, the dish lacked all flavour and I ate only two mouthfuls. Perhaps more concerning was the lack of any impetus of the staff - there was no recommendations, no highlighting of the size of the portions and no questions asked about our experience or food - this was from all staff members we encountered. Prior to this visit, we were considering bringing our family, sadly though, it will not be a restaurant we will be returning too. With regret, it is not a restaurant I can recommend.

Food was fresh and amazing i loved it, but the stuff were so unpleasant and I didn’t see any friendly environment even though I am Iranian as well. The receptionist was so kind but others even didn’t try to communicate. It’s a shame to have at least 7 stuff and all the same :). First and last time to go there. Please provide deodorant for one of stuff thank you.

one of my worst experience in last 17 years at Iranian restaurant, the soup of the day was full of oil and watery. I asked the guy why soup is full of oil but not proper response at all, took them too long to get our order, we were two people and charged us over £4.00 service charge then charged us £5.00 for 4 glasses of hot water? imagine we go everywhere and ask for tab water or hot water for free but where we have been charged £4.00 for service charge still they wanted to pay £5.00 for 4 glasses of hot water (without any tea bag) By God, do not support them, it is not clear with what cultural, intellectual, social political background they open a restaurant here, and I simply go to a place like this out of love for Iranian food, and they treat people like this. There is a lot to say about this restaurant. I had heard about it in the Iranian society in these seventeen years, but it was hard to believe it, but after yesterday's meeting, I realized what the conditions are, and if you pay attention, most of their customers are non-Iranians and special people, it's really shameful.

I finished my meal with my family and when my father asked for the bill they said when your ready please make your way to the front to pay (instead of them bringing the bill to the table). When going to pay my dad said make sure you ask for the receipt because he felt it was a bit strange. Me and my mother when to the counter and they produced a bill which seemed a bit pricey for what we ordered. We asked to see the receipt and they gave us a different bill to what we ordered. Even though they tried to scam us for more money we still payed our original bill, looking back they should have got naught. I’ve heard other stories of behesht doing the same thing to people who don’t look Persian. Avoid doing business with these people, they clearly don’t care for you and only for money. The food here is mediocre at best . Since when are there fries with your koobideh? NOT authentic. Is this a kebab shop or a Persian restaurant? If you want good Persian food Mahdi in Hammersmith has always given me 5 star food and service so I will always give them 5 stars. In Mahdi they have a beautiful white sauce to pair with your dish, I asked for this white sauce in behesht and I kid you not they gave me mayonnaise in a squirt bottle that you would find at a hot dog vendor. Please never give these people your money.

Very large portions of food and very delicious food but price increased recently and on top they add service charge which makes the price double!. Waiting time at least 30 minutes to dind a table plus foot to ve served another 30 minutes! 1 hour to get your food. Unacceptable

My first time in a Persian Restaurant and I totally enjoyed the food, place, service and my time here with my friends. We booked a reservation and were accommodated immediately upon arrival. We went here on a Sunday, and it got crowded and busy around 1pm-3pm so come early or just have a reservation. Worth a visit!

The restaurant feels claustrophobic due to excessive decorations, and tables are closely arranged. Delays with food are common, and staff members are often occupied. While the food is satisfactory, the portions are generous.

This place was amazing years ago, but when we went this time, it was disappointing. The rice was dry, the lamb kebab was very bland with no flavour, and the chicken was also dry and bland. The service was not the best. Staff were not very attentive. We paid for a naan bread that was not even served to us, but it was hard to even get a staff members attention to even inform them of this. The seating is very squashed, too. I will not be returning.

Please learn how to treat customers respectfully. Additionally, inform your manager that his rude and barbaric behavior is unacceptable, especially towards customers who are paying for their meals, not eating for free. we were abruptly approached by our waiter who informed us that we needed to vacate our table as it was needed for other customers. While we understand the importance of table turnover in a restaurant setting, the manner in which this message was delivered was startlingly impolite and lacked the basic courtesy one would expect in a hospitality environment. There was no prior indication that our table was needed by a certain time, nor was there any attempt to address the situation with understanding or offer alternatives, such as relocating to the bar area. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit. A restaurant's success isn't solely determined by the quality of its food but also by the service and respect it shows its customers. Unfortunately, this place fell short in this regard.

Had a lunch few days ago, and a guy recommended a daily special food which it was Lubiapolo and I ordered it as he said , when he served it the food wasn’t fresh at all , pretty sure it was leftover. Usually I go there with friends and family but the last time was really awful , hope they take a note of this and not to happen again, other than that everything was fine specially the large portions. Thanks

I love this place- the staff are so so warm and welcoming and the portion sizes are huge!!! So worth the money really really recommend a trip here. Not far from the station.

It changed a lot last couple of years so the quality of food is not great and staff are very inexperienced. People are in a rush and service is all over the place. Food is not coming in order and many things missing on the table. I will try other Persians from now on.

Where to begin with behesht… This restaurant offers both, amazing quality service and food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, covered with a myriad of cultural decorations and the staff are all incredibly accommodating and friendly. We ordered mast-o-khiar, gherkins and tried the koofteh tabrizi as starters. What is so marvellous about behesht is the fact that for the prices which I believe are not merely reasonable, but actually low, you receive the biggest and most generous portions of food. Many restaurants that I have tried charge you so much for a measly amount of food, but it is sufficient to say the fact that the starters made me so full to begin with highlights that they do not compromise with portion sizes. The koofteh tabrizi is definitely not to be undermined as it was the size of a meat loaf, a delicious, giant chunk of a meatball that was stuffed with an apricot. The first main dish we ordered was their infamous friday-only special, abgoosht. This dish is special in that you are provided with pickled vegetables like cauliflower with olives. The broth is separated from the stew which consists of chickpeas, red kidney beans and lamb and is mashed separately - the staff had kindly assisted me in doing so. The idea is to put your naan in the separated broth and either eat the mashed product with rice or naan, I opted for both having undermined the portion sizes but nonetheless enjoyed the dish! The second main we ordered was chello gosht for which they did not only give us one, not two, but three giant portions of succulent lamb neck, paired with a wonderful and massive portion of broad bean rice. A pleasant surprise indeed, we unfortunately could not finish all the food but were determined to take it all away to feast during the night and still have the biggest portions available for dinner the next day too. I am so glad to have visited this restaurant and am determined to come back and feast properly to only begin to show my appreciation for the care and kindness the staff had shown us, especially the impeccable service throughout the dining experience. From start to finish, the entire experience was more than perfection and no less, I wish behesht restaurant and all its employees all the success as they offer a truly well-cultured service for all.

So we’ve live in the area for about 2 years and had been meaning to come here for quite some time. We decided to pop by in Valentine’s Day as we had no plans. The only critique would be that we had to wait a long time (understandably it’s Valentine’s Day) After we called in an hour early to ask if we needed a reservation. The food was incredible. And I mean incredible. Reallly some of the best food I’ve had in London. The restaurant is also incredibly affordable which is a plus! The staff was lovely and the restaurant has a beautiful, vibrant, and authentic decor. I highly recommend it and will be coming back for sure! ❤️❤️❤️

It gives you the feeling that you are eating in Nayeb or other popular Kebab’s restaurant in Tehran. Great decoration with friendly staff. Good music and lovely food. especially Barg Kebab and Koobideh is very nice.

Last summer me and my family went to behesht restaurant firstly it took almost one hours to served us unfortunately we found a fly in my son's food, that was so grossed as we told the waiters they disappeared for long time as we wanted to leave the restaurant they told us they going to changed that dish but we couldn't eat food in that filthy restaurant they were very rude to us but we left that dirty restaurant. 😔

The Best and tastest Persian food in London.

Value for money, meat cooked well but lacking a bit of flavour. Really bug let down that they make bread from scratch but haven’t got any sauces or dips made from scratch like freshly made chill sauce or garlic. The bottle sauce isn’t good

It was good once a time , Now disappointed. Regretted to be back.

It is the second time I have visited this place and has disappointed me again! The food has no flavour, a big turn off. The seating arrangement is so awful so cramped up with waiters and customers on your face. Tables and chairs weight a TON! I couldn’t pull a chair out without help and the waiter kept asking me to push my chair in as he couldn’t serve the other table behind me. I think it looks busy because there is nothing better around that area. Parking is a nightmare even with a disabled badge. I will not go back even if they pay me for a meal.

Unique setting is Behesht's best feature. Some dishes are better than others - stick to the legit Persian dishes (Ghormeh Sabzi) rather than the more generic (grilled chicken with rice and salad). Rice and bread is always good.

Very busy restaurant. Don’t understand the hype though. Tried a few meats and found them bland. Rice was bland and side salad like an English one. Bread was lovely and nice tea. My son really enjoyed it though. More flavours in Turkish and Lebanese food for me.

We were very excited to com try this place . But unfortunately we were very dissapointed. The food is bland, took 35 min to serve the food,rise is very plain.however the decor and the atmosphere were very nice and authentic.

The place looks great, I loved the atmosphere, it felt very middle eastern ! I have tried Persian food before, and was in love with Fasenjoon, it was not as good as the other place unfortunately, and the Tahdig was old and reheated. The bread was very very fresh and tasted very good. But overall my favourite was the waiter, he was very helpful explaining all ingredients and how it tastes. He gave good recommendations related to portions and first time trying new things. Very helpful !! Overall, I would go back again but won’t order Faesenjoon, would go with grilled basics.

Food is microwaved, and they refused to refund us for it because we tasted it. It didn't even come hot. Mocktail drink tasted like sugar in coconut water. Seating area was claustrophobic, very cramped and barely any service. When we were telling them about our complaints they responded with "so your complaining about all the food?!" Paid £60 for food that wasn't eaten. This restaurant has gone down in quality so much. By the way we used to always eat here as it was our favourite.

The restaurant has an amazing Persian vibe, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the food in large portions with an amazing delicious taste.

Good Persian food & reasonable prices

Well what can I say drove 1 hour for dead food no flavour what so ever,no vibes no music waiters do not talk most times they are no where to be seen,also don’t be fooled by their service charge it’s ridiculous,the man would come with the bill and the card machine and asks for you to pay straight away widout mentioning anything to do with the payment‼️ I’m very disappointed it’s a lovely restaurant decor is amazing but so overrated it’s unbelievable,Turkish and Lebanese all the way, nothing will beat them,you ask for sauce I don’t no what mustard and chilli nonsense you get 🤢 be vigilant when you go you will not be happy.

To be honest I wouldn't come here again Starters weren't that great The mixed grill lacked so much flavour for £45 Rice was nice and fluffy Soup of the day which was lentils was nice. But overall was a disappointment Service isn't great they don't have a good system If u like Ur sauce then I'm afraid u will be disappointed I asked for sauces he came back with behesht sauce which was just mustard flavoured sauce and shop brought chilli which u would find a better one in a PFC shop was a let down 👎

Not worth travelling out to. Service is very poor. Food came cold. Tried to order desserts and tea and the waiter just walked away and didn’t return no matter how much we called them. Waiters are not aware of what they have in stock and what they don’t. Be prepared to be told 20-30 mins later the drinks are not available. Out of 12 drinks only 2 available. Addressed to the manager who was arrogant, rude, and argumentative. Poorly managed. I would not recommend it and do not waste time travelling to it.

This place is absolutely awful! We had made a booking. Once we got there, we were seated. It took 45mins for the staff to take our order. The had a drink menu which had 12 different types of mocktails. We placed our drink order. After 40 mins we get told only 2 types of mocktails were available. After 1 hour 10mins we started to get our food. Most of the food was cold. Also the order we placed was wrong. We then wanted to have dessert and tea. But the staff would not serve us. We got so fedup we got up and left. We spoke to the manager who was extremely arrogant saying its busy. Being busy dont mean you ignore your customers, get their order wrong. There was no such thing as customer service. I would never go back to this place again.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Worst experience ever. It took nearly an hour to have our order taken, called waiters numerous times, most of the time looking straight at us and looking away or told someone will be with you. When drinks arrived, several drinks were missing, including a sprite, which could have come with the other bottled drinks. On top of this, they only had 2 mocktails out of 12 on a Saturday. We tried to order desserts and more drinks for the whole table, only to be asked and no one returning. I asked to speak to the manager and he has no idea of customer service, or how to operate a restaurant. His only excuse was we are busy. For a business that has been around for a while, you should not have your team short staffed or inadequately trained as there was no attention being paid to customers. Some of the team were merely trying to loom busy. The manager on the night was rude, arrogant and argumentative. Began arguing with staff in front of a crowd. I could not bare this disgusting attitude. I would not be returning, and will not be recommending this place as it used to be very good.

Food was good & the service was okay but felt we were robbed by paying for service charge twice. Our bill was £89.83 which was reasonable for four of us & without realising they added 10% service charge on the bill, I gave £10 pound tip to the waiter.When I looked at the bill & saw the 10% service charge on the bill I got annoyed & told the waiter,he said 10% on the bill was for the owner & £10 tip was for the waiter. THIS IS SERIOUS PISS TAKING ! considering service charge is only discretionary & not mandatory. We asked for a jug of water which was refused.It is illegal to refuse tap water in restaurants. Needless to say we won't be going back there again. Check your bill & don't pay for the service if you don't want to. We walked out without making a fuss. They have no respect for their customers. What a shame!!!

I have been going to this place for the last 10 years. Their food is amazing. The Naan 🫓 is always super-fresh. The portions are huge and reasonably priced. Also, I always managed to find a parking around.

Nous sommes arrivés 1h avant la fermeture. Le restaurant était remplis. On a attendus 30min avant de pouvoir s’installer. Les serveurs sont méprisants et se trompent sur les commandes. J’ai été servi 1h après mes amis car ils ont oublié m’a commande. D’ailleurs sur l’addition on nous rajoute un plat qui finalement n’a pas été servi. Le gérant à la fin nous précipite à sortir car le restaurant est fermé alors qu’on avait pas terminé. Le comble c’est qu’il exige de payer les charges de service. 🤡 La nourriture était délicieuse et le décor magnifique mais gaché par un service incompétent. La logistique des commandes est à revoir entièrement.

I loved this place for many reasons. Food is great, and staff are wonderful and friendly toward us as customers, but the most Important to each other!! I enjoyed knowing Ramin and Tima. They are absolutely great and very friendly!! In our two days' stay in London, we enjoyed their food and hospitality for both of our nights 🌙

The service was terrible there was over 20 of us and some of us was standing up we were served whilst standing litterlly. The staff was very terrible and rude and we were forced to pay for the service charge after we had explained to them our poor experienced they then continued shouting at us and telling us to pay and leave whether we like it or not. I am absolutely disgusted about their staff and their food to be honest it came cold and stale.

I made a reservation by phone 3 days prior to new years, where my name and ETA had been taken and confirmed by staff. However, when I arrived with my family I was told i needed a confirmation for my booking. When I tried to explain it was by phone and that my name should be in the diary the member of staff running the tables/reservations was very rude and told me to wait by the door. Very unpleasant experience.

It’s a huge setting with many tables in various large rooms. On a Saturday evening the place was full. It was crowded but being well staffed, one did not feel we were waiting too long. The cuisine is in the main Persian. It is well cooked and most tasty. We arrived at 7:30 pm and when we left, fully dated, at 9:30 pm, there were still people waiting to go in. A very good experience.

We had high expectations as we were visiting for the first time. The food was below average. Kebab Bakhtiari was a complete waste of money as grilled baby chicken was all chewy, dried and tasteless. Kebab Makhsous was a bit better (the portion size) but came with no sauces, when asked for one, what we were given was a super thick mustard mayo. We struggled to eat dried, boiled rice with dried kebabs. Served the wrong drink twice and third time it was so late that we almost had finished eating. The plates given were side plates.The naan was cold. In short, had to ask multiple times for almost everything, keeping in mind that it wasn't very busy(after 9pm). 2 stars for polo (rice with lamb shank) and Kashk Bademjan. The seat cushions were dirty and coming apart, zero ambiance. Not going back.

The best Persian food restaurant in London. Great food and also great value for money, what's not to like?
