Had a lovely meal tonight. Food and Drinks were great and our waitress Elaine was so helpful and polite, it was a pleasure to eat there.

Due to Covid-19 we haven't gone out for dinner until last night. We felt very safe, the measures that have been put in place were very reassuring. Our meals were delicious, staff very friendly and polite. We spoke with one of the managers to compliment our waiter and were informed he was still training. We will be going back and recommending to family and friends. Lovely evening out.

First class signage, table organisation, hand sanitiser and cleaning regime in place, all expertly managed by the very professional, efficient, sensible and good-humoured Brian; he is a credit to the Beefeater chain...and knows how to pour and serve a pint of Guinness.

A friendly welcome and great service covid19 measures are in place. May P was very helpful when serving us.

we've recently dined at the haywain beefeater and feel we have to leave a review regarding our visit as we had a absolutely lovely meal and brilliant service from Alex, she always does a great job but do feel she goes the extra mile to make us feel really welcomed and spends time having a nice conversation which is all done with a smile and enthusiasm.Thank you again Alex we will be returning to see you again realsoon

My husband and I had a mixed grill which was cooked to perfection. Our afternoon was made so enjoyable because of the VERY friendly service we had from all the staff, especially Stevie who chatted to us and did not make us feel that we were keeping her.Its been a long time since we ate at a restaurant so this was made more special by the way we were treated, We could have stayed all evening.

We had a lovely time at the Haywain. Everything was really clean (we saw the tables being thoroughly cleaned after other guests had left) and partitions have been put up between all the tables. Karen our waitress was really nice and the food was great. Will definitely return soon

Food came quickly and was delicious! COVID-19 precautions were safely in place. We were served by Elaine who was very polite and helpful, would definitely come again.

First time out since February 2020 and we chose the Haywain. Really enjoyed ourselves. Social distancing and covid safe. Although busy.....not overly busy. The same great easy atmosphere and lovely food. Smaller menu, but it works. Our waitress, Stevie absolutely excellent as always, happy, smiling and enjoys her job. Definitely going back soon. Had a lovely family visit with 2 children. We felt very comfortable with the precautions this particular restaurant took to minimise contact! Eg one way systems and more. We was served by Sue W who looked after us very well and helped make our experience as safe as possible.

My boys and I went for lunch on the second Wednesday of the 'Eat out to help out' promotion.We were very impressed by the way the restaurant had been reorganised to allow for Social Distancing and to minimise contact between customers.We were also pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food came and the quality of the service we received, given how busy it was and how tricky these new arrangements must be for staff.Special mention goes to Elaine our waitress, who even brought us refills without being asked, as she had spotted that we were nearly at the bottom of our glasses!Steaks were cooked as requested. Food was hot and tasty. Service was exceptional. And the discount was a bonus! We were very happy to eat out to help out and we will definitely be back.

I went for lunch at the Haywain yesterday and had a lovely meal. I had Surf & Turf and it was excellent. My friend had scampi and really enjoyed it as well. Service was quick and efficient and our waitress, Amy, was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so good that I'm off there today to meet another friend!

Left it quite late to book so could only get early dinner at 3..45 on a Tuesday .On arrival we were shown promptly to our table and drinks order swiftly taken and served up.Food order also quickly taken and service for the entire meal was speedy,efficient and friendly from Sasha.The quality of the food was excellent and my steak in particular was delicious .Because of the offer, despite having ribeye steak,mixed grill,two starters and two rounds of alcoholic drinks we paid just a shade over forty pounds.Amazing value and a really lovely dinner.Thank you

Visited for lunch with a friend, social distancing was handled well and service was excellent by Sue W. Great with the refills and quick to get our orders/drinks/bill. Had the vegan burger which was good. Only critcism was limited choiced for vegetarians.

First night out since lockdown, food was lovely and couldnt fault Sue our waitress. Excellent social distancing measures were in place, and we felt safe. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Manager was great, waitresses were great but food was really bad. We went all out, I ordered a 10oz Ribeye and my partner an 8oz fillet steak.I've never had a bad meal here before yesterday but their food standards have dropped massive since covid.The quality of the steaks were very poor. My ribeye looked like it had been trod on multiple times and flattened as it was very thin. Not how a Ribeye comes anywhere else and the flavour was disappointing it was very plain. Edible but nothing to write home about infact I was going to deal with it until I found a hair on my chips so I stopped and decided not to eat and asked not to be charged for my meal which they honoured. My partners fillet come out the first time medium to well done when it should have been medium rare so we send it back and they changed it for us. However it wasn't fantastic at all the fillet was poor. Very bland and not tender. Very disappointed.I dont think the cuts of meat are what they say they were as myself and my partner do cook and eat a lot of good quality steak so we won't be returning for food anytime soon unless I hear it improves.Staff are great so we will probably go back to the bar for a drink sometime as nice venue and atmosphere and like I said the waitress staff were lovely. I am not sure about the standards of chef there right now but the steaks they had to work with are not good in anyway as meat was of poor standard. The worse steak I have ever had. Thanks to the waiting staff though for dealing with it professionally. Me and my partner ended up having a drink and a laugh about it as we didn't want to end date night on a downer.

It was our first night out dining at the haywain beefeater restaurant since march, and we can't recommend this beefeater steakhouse enough,Stevie our waitress was absolutely exemplary in making sure we had everything we needed, Stevie always makes us feel very welcome and at ease, we owe her for such a wonderful visit each and every time we visit, also a thank you to the amazing chefs for a delicious steak and chicken meals. To the manager Steve who always welcomes us on arrival and how he has implemented the restaurant under the new government guidelines.

My friend & I chose The Haywain for a lunchtime catch up. We have visited this restaurant many times before Covid 19 & enjoyed the experience. We pre-booked & was shown to our table right at the very back of the restaurant. The waitress sat us next to another couple when she could have sat us at one of their numerous empty tables away from other diners to make us feel more at ease. She immediately asked us what drinks we would like before we had a chance to look at their choices. Within a couple of minutes she came back & asked us again.......it felt so rushed. Within a couple of minutes again she asked us what we wanted to eat but we had not even looked at the menu. No choices for lunch, just limited starters, limited mains & limited dessert. The menu was disappointing as it did not really give much choice for vegetarians. I had a very average starter for lunch as no real choice for me. I did not book for dinner, I booked for lunch.....why only dinners available & no lunches? I don’t get it!I left feeling miserable & hungry. Will not return.

Lovely time, restaurant well spaced with arrows. Disposable items included menus. Perspex between tables. Nearly £70 meal came to £33 after eat in discount! Felt secure and recommend.

Wednesday lunch with ex workmate. Was nice to be out as this was my first trip out to eat since March. The restaurant is well set out with a one way system. The car park has changed and instead of paying a refundable £1 to park you now just have to register your car reg into a screen inside to get 3 hrs free parking. Food and service was very good and we had a very relaxed meal. Will be back soon and maybe catch the Eat out to help out gov scheme to save some money.

We looked after my Sue W who looked after us very well, she catered for needs of the group and made sure drinks were topped up. Felt totally safe and there is a one way system around the restaurant. Recommend the lasagne and chocolate cake for dessert!

Very clear guidelines on COVID social distancing. And can see this being managed well in the whole restaurant. Nothing to worry about here. The serviceMark served us and he was absolutely EXCELLENT. Possibly some of the best service we have ever had eating out. Made a fuzz of us all and made sure we had anything and everything we wanted. Top marks and well done Mark and thank you. The food, limited menu to some. Not for us had all our favourites. Mushroom &prawn cocktail for starters Steak and chicken for dinner. No room for dessert. Our daughter polished off some extra chips with her main. The food was of a great standard. Tasted great. The only concern is that we don’t visit enough as don’t live close. If you would pick the building up with the team and move it to Hornchurch you would see us once a week. Many thanks Andy, Nat & Abi

Great service, last minute decision to go out and have a meal and glad they were open, our server Sue W was really nice cheery and super helpful!

Arrived and had nothing on the menu. So we decided to leave and go somewhere where you get spoken to like a human. When we left the staff stood near the bar and was bad mouthing myself and family and they was not quiet about it either, Im having to bite my tongue and not say anything as I had my elderly nan and my son with me. No wonder no one is in there.

First visit since reopening. All booths have plastic around them so feels as safe as can be. Elaine was very helpful. Menu reduced but as Gordon Ramsey would say, smaller menu cooked well is better than a large menu cooked poorly. If that’s what the kitchen can manage, all four of our meals probably the best I have had at any Beefeater. Quieter at lunchtimes at the moment they advised when I asked for any older couples visit.

Visited yesterday, felt very safe with the safety measures in place. It was a pleasure to be able to visit after such a long time. Menu was limited but still plenty of choice and the usual standard of food. See you again soon. Thank you.

This was our first visit out since Lockdown. I was worried but the management and team have done a fantastic job. They are strict about the social distancing and hand hygiene rules. The restaurant been planned really well, with screens and one way system. But still keeps a lovely atmosphere. A slight smaller menu but well worth it. The food was fantastic and still great value! Well done to them for all the hard work they have done, lovely to know we can rerun for our regular visits. ❤️

The food was lovely, dessert wonderful,. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, as were the staff. Our waiter Mark W (5451) was not on!y friendly, polite and efficient but extremely funny and entertaining too, All in all a great night out.

The staff were very friendly and remembered us from when we were going in before lockdown, Vickie Tracey and Steve were lovely. Even though they had a reduced menu, it was just as nice as before. (Even though they still don’t have the banoffee pie on the menu!)

Excellent meal, our waitress Dani made meal suggestions which were spot on choices. Steak was cooked medium rare as asked and desserts were great. Dani was attentive, asked us if we wanted more drinks when we was running low and was happy & polite when servings us.

We have breakfast here most weeks. The staff are helpful friendly and have a sense of humour! Stevie Tracy and Sasha are always very accommodating, much needed when we turn up with the grandchildren! See you next week ladies x

We visit The Haywain Basildon every Friday and have done for a few years now. Tracey is always very cheerful and helpful. In fact all the staff are so polite and friendly. The breakfast is the best in town, cooked fresh, so always lovely and hot. Also fantastic selection of continental breakfast. Thank you Tracey, we will see you all Friday

We just had a really family lovely meal at the Haywain. Our waitress was Sue W and she was fantastic. She looked after 16 of us and was always asking if we needed anything or wanted more drinks. It’s rare to go somewhere where you don’t have to ask for anything and it’s just brought to you anyway. The food was also great and we will definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you Sue!

First time at the Haywain and altho it was very busy the service was great. The fillet steak was beautiful cooked, in fact the best we have eaten in a long while. We had wanted a roast but when we arrived at 17.15 hours there were no roasts let, but to be honest our fillet steak was far better. Cannot fault the food we were served nor the service.

We regularly visit this restaurant for breakfast the staff are always polite and helpful Tracy is always very friendly

Visited numerous times whilst on business. Food was nice but and service good also. Very busy pub and restaurant would advise to book in advance, staff do like you in and out as fast as they can.

Went for breakfast with family as birthday treat. Been before and it was as usual ok. Once again though shame the food was not hot!! It was warm but should have been hot.Service good, instead of charging for parking why not get a ANPR system you enter reg number is, as dont always have change.

Unusually disappointed with visit today. Went for sole purpose of a Sunday roast, table booked for 3pm and as they serve roasts until 6pm, thought we would be fine. On arrival heard waitress say no beef left, got to our table to be told no roast dinners at all!!!! Ok not end of world, so ordered something else. However after ordering and being served, a table of 8, who came in after us, had 7 roast turkey dinners served to their table !!! On questioning the manager, the explanation given was that the chef had remembered there was a turkey in the oven !!! Seriously!!! Come on !!! Very disappointing.

Met up with friends for a catch up. Bar area was busy. We’re seated immediately. Attentive and lovely waitress. Good was nice and didn’t have to wait a long time. Finished with Latte’s and Cappuccino’s. Didn’t have to pay for parking as machines were out of order, although it’s free if you eat. They take it off the food bill if you show ticket. All in all, a very pleasant visit. Highly recommend

Last minuet decision, was taken to the table on arrival the waitress Katie S was over took our drinks order, came back with the menu. The food choice was amazing and good prices. Food was hot and good quality nothing was to much trouble for Katie even though lunchtime it was packed. Big thank you to Katie S for the outstanding service will be back. Only problem is they charge for parking now so if you don't have a £1 on you for the pay and display it's a problem. We used the machine and the ticket was not forthcoming so no ticket. Mentioned to the restaurant manager and he said no problem took the £1.00 off the bill. Why do you have to charge ???.

I visited here as a spare of the moment with my partner. We had been reconmened this place by family. It was busy when we got there. Which is always a good sign. We got seated very quickly, the people working there was very kind and helpful. There was a good variety of food choices on the menu and all priced reasonably. We recieved our meal very quickly and it was all very nice. We didnt expect too much from this place being how reasonably priced everything is. Its not an expensive restaurant. Overall our experience here was satisfactory and we would return again.

Unusually todays visit was not up to the usual standard.Knowing it would be very busy be booked a table for 5pm.Fortunatly it was quite when we arrived but the car parking machine was playing up and wouldn't issue a ticket nor return our money. We mentioned this when booking in and they took our reg number and promised to sort the parking.We were shown to our table and waited for our drinks order to be taken. This partucular table was too narrow to sit at comfortably and the chairs were also very uncomfortable.Despite not being busy it took some time for drinks order to be taken, so we also ordered our food at the same time. The actual drink took some time to arrive, and only my wifes turned up? I sat and waited and no sign of my beer. Eventualy I managed to catch the attention of a waiter and asked him to find out what had happend to my drink. He apologised and went to the bar to get it. Returned with it saying they were busy!!! Surely 2 drinks should arrive at the same time and mine was bottled which only needed opening?Anyway my bottle of wheat beer arrived nice and cold, but with a warm glass!!!!Not what I would expect from trained bar staff, and I had to take a handful of ice from my wifes G&T to cool the glass down before pouring my beer.....Our prawn cocktail starters arrived promptly, very nice but with dry bread no butter or spread.Our mains followed, a rump and a rib eye steak meal. Very nice, obviously the rump was less tender than the rib eye but both tasty.For desert we both had the merange kisses. Not to my taste as the meranges were not crunchy on the outside, but were of a candy floss constituency. Not pleasant so i left most of mine.All in all a disapointing visit

Once again great service and a great meal, the steak was a bit underdone for my wife but they quickly sorted the problem.They had put the birthday balloons that my daughters had taken earlier and bought out the cake singing happy birthday.Glad to see its still a friendly nice place to eat

We love it here we often go , wife likes a Costa and I like a beer .. we really miss the fire being on we have been a few times now and no fire ! Such a shame as it really is cosy in there with the fire burning ! Come on managers sort it out its one of the only places in the area with such a lovely fire place please get it going again , then it will be 5 stars from us !!!

Don't know where to start our first time coming here,I can't believe how amazing it is,service was great food was fantastic,atmosphere is relaxing never known anything like it,we only stop by cos my husband had to go back to the hospital after three hours and we thought we should go look for a place to eat and wait for the next three hours,good came out in time testy,I most say SASHA was amazing,friendly and attentive, what a bonus to this company,I just love her for the first time , we will be coming back with our friends, will definitely recommend this place for real

Staying at the Premier Inn next door for the weekend we ate Saturday lunch in the Haywain and Sunday breakfast. We were part of a large party that were staying for a local birthday party. We had filet steaks and several drinks at lunch which cost approx £55. The steaks were excellent and the staff pleasant and efficient. Time to table was acceptable given how busy the restaurant was. Our group was scattered through the restaurant as we all arrived at different times but all their feedback was positive. Sunday full English breakfast cost slightly less than £10 a head. Apparently it is on ‘All you can eat’ basis but just taking one of each of the 8 items on offer was more than enough for decent meal. Toast and drinks were serve yourself. Food was hot and service was prompt at our table of 4 couples. This is clearly a popular place to visit. As a aside - all respect to the bar staff on Saturday evening when we all came in dressed in 60s hippy gear prior to our fancy dress party - no raised eyebrows or sarcastic comments!!Would strongly recommend.

Had a great meal and our waitress Abby was fabulous. Nothing was to much trouble even our fussy family were catered for. There was never a time we were looking to ask for a menu or refills they were always just brought up. The food was great and the atmosphere really pleasant. My mum is currently on crutches due to an op and they changed the table we were allocated to be on the lower floor and that was even without asking.

Pleasure to drink in the bar bar staff make the pub especially jack, Wendy, palma, Zoey and Adam. Always worth a pint 👍🏻

saturday lunch was fairly busy but waited over an hour for food with 2 children was too long then childrens meatballs turn up without the meatballs had a very nice waitress who kept appologizing but wont be rushing back

Always a lovely meal at the haywain, great variety of food especially steak dishes, which are amazing, also a great variety of drinks to suit all, the staff here are amazing and a special mention must go out to Stevie the waitress who dedication to make sure all well with your meal and drinks ,and her friendly manner is amazing, top waitress.

Visited tonight in a party of 4 adults and one child.We ordered our food from the daytime menu which was limited but good valueAt 6,30 it goes onto the evening menu and the prices get silly...its a pub for God sake!!! not a 5 star Michelin star Restaurant.The food was of good standard PUB QUALITY...The Staff were lovely and attentive and the Bar selection very good but pricey.Example Pint of Stella £4.25 whereas it would be around £3.30 to £3.80 elsewhere.It has an adjacent Premier Inn and parking is chargeable but refunded at the bar.I advise you to book your table and order well before 6,30pm as your bill will almost double after that time.Our bill came to £110 for 4 adults having Starter main and sweet and two drinks each before 6.30 pm

The steak was tough, two chews and swallow for £17.00 couldn't ask for a better meal , I've had Good meals and bad think it's a bit hot and miss

If I a honest, I did not have any expectations other than for our meal to be 'OK' given the amount of people booked in on Christmas Day. I was completely blown away by combination of great service, superb food and lovely ambience. Made even more special by the excellent service we received from our waitress Elaine just made it for us.

Annual family Christmas dinner pre booked , which had not disappointed and was its usual high standard . This had been our fourth consecutive year for Xmas lunch . Our server and seeing all was taken care of whom was faultless . The restaurant side of the establishment is and has been always top notch , however ( why I had not given 5 stars for review ) the bar side when entering and waiting for table ( as was also the case last year ) was frequented by some real undesirables , whom apart from loud and foul mouthed , were partaking in what appeared to be narcotics in the toilets where one “ gentleman!!” Managed to p... up the wall whilst trading a bag of something with his mate . The short wait ( thankfully ) until the table was available had taken the shine off the rest of the afternoon for me ( personally ) and is a shame that I have felt the need to mention.

We went out for a family meal for three generations from 65 to 18 months and we all have great food and service from the staff and this being a Saturday night there was a good choice of food for the little one right up to the granddad sssh me well happy all round thank you for well cook food

I visited the haywain on Christmas Eve and the food was lovely. We was served by Susan W, she was absolutely amazing, very friendly and a credit to the company. She helped with recommending an amazing meal and made our Christmas Eve very special. We will be back soon and recommending to all our friends and family.

For the first time ever I had Christmas dinner out with my family. It was a special time because I had my daughter and grandchildren over from Lanzarote. I had apprehension about eating out BUT it was the most amazing time. The food was 5 star it was fantastic, just like a home made Christmas dinner and the icing on the cake was the most wonderful waitress Elaine who treated us all like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble and she did everything to make our day special - THANK YOU ELAINE I hope you enjoyed your Christmas night with you family.

This was a pre Christmas lunch with friends.When we arrived it was fairly quiet but within 20 minutes was packed. Our waitress was a trainee but she was really good and service was efficient and friendly. There was a full bar and very good range of drinks. We chose food from the Christmas menu. The main course was traditional turkey which was well cooked and tasty. I chose a sundae but it was unavailable and so had a lemon tart instead.

It was Christmas Eve and we decided to spend it with friends at the Haywain, we had such a lovely time and our waitress Annie was very nice always checking if we need a drink and never waited long for it, the food was lovely and it was a lovely evening....that’s what makes your evening when you have a good waitress that always checks your ok and your not waiting long, merry Christmas and thank you Annie xx

We had dinner at The haywain last night (Christmas Eve) the table was set with crackers at no additional cost! Not cheap ones either! The waitress Annie was very attentive catered for our every needs, and friendly too and was always on hand if we needed drinks etc.The food was really nice and reasonably priced, in fact I’d go as far to say that every time we’ve been to The Haywain we’ve never had a bad experience! With the service or the food! Only thing is you have to book in advance as it’s always busy! Even the manager Steve is easy to talk to! We’ve also stayed at the premier inn next door and that was equally as good and we’ve had the breakfast in The haywain whic again we cannot fault the food or the staff!

Lovely meals, enjoyed by all 4 of us. Katie looked after us and was excellent. A really lovely character!

It was for my birthday, we booked for 20th Dec, from the start our server was there when we wanted her nothing was to much trouble for even though the restaurant was heaving, lovely starters came garlic mushrooms for me yum yum,then rump of lamb that just melted in the mouth, after that Baileys profiteroles with fresh strawberries & a glass of Baileys on the side, could not fault anything & as I said Jessica our server brilliant.

We visit this restaurant on a regular basis and I have to say we always have a delicious cooked meal with a lovely atmosphere. A very special mention must be made to the waitress Alex who is very attentive and effecient and friendly and warm with A really 1st class service.would 100% recommed.

We recently visited Haywain for a work lunch and our waitress Katie was amazing from start to finish. She attended all our needs and made sure we always had drinks and did it all with a friendly smile and service. 10/10

We often visit the haywain but tonight was really exceptional. We felt so welcome and nothing was too much trouble we were seated promptly by a nice gentleman who I assume was a manager as Ive seen him often. Then our attentive server Abigail came over she really was so helpful and chatty explained the menu to us oldies and seemed really happy. The whole atmosphere was so nice everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.The food was cooked to a brilliant standard we all enjoyed our dinners and the Christmas pudding was out of this world. Thankyou to All the haywain staff and to Abigail our sweet server for a very enjoyable time

I visited today for breakfast with a friend and it was a very pleasant experience.!from the front of house staff & Jackie our waitress were helpful and attentive.There was a big selection of cereals, fruit, pastries for breakfast and the cooked food was tasty, well presented and not greasy...and eat as much as you like!!! Visited the Beefeater with my wife and was very impressed with the service. Out waiter, Mark, was cheery and attentive, a pleasant suppress from the usual service a chain restaurants. Food was great, especially the chocolate brownie for desert.

Never been disappointed at this Beefeater. All the staff are brilliant. Maria V out waitress really looked after us and went the extra mile despite the restaurant being very busy. Look forward to seeing you again!

Went her with relative for a lovely meal ,we all ordered Christmas lunch and we were all looking forward to it, when it came to us it looked ok but it was absolutely awful it was processed turkey which wasn't nice your shire had a funny taste hardly any veg and fried potatoes will not bother again very diassapointed

We had our mum's 65th Birthday here on Friday evening.Our server Abby looked after us from start to finish befriending our 18 month daughter and ensuring our drinks were topped up and our meal was served without a hitch.All our requests were taken care of and we couldn't of asked for a better meal. My steak was cooked as requested and my wife's more complex veggie request came out perfectly.We had an enjoyable time, and didn't have to worry about a thing. We would definately come here again for a large family meal.

We had a lovely evening meal at the Haywain. We had barbecue spare ribs and a steak and Doombar pie. Katie, our waitress, was attentive and welcoming and looked after us very well even though the restaurant was busy. The food was great. Just wish I'd had room for dessert! Top job

Welcoming very warm and friendly , our waitress Katie introduced herself with a lovely big smile , food was amazing lots to choose from the menu , Well done to the chefs it was cooked well and nice n hot , we wasn’t rushed even though it was very busy definitely be back

On way home called in for dinner and there was nothing wrong but nothing really special. Food was middle of the road and the chicken was a wee bit pink, ordered two open chicken sandwiches and they were very dry. Wasn’t the best meal there. But it was what it was. Didn’t bother as a result with desert or coffee etc paid and left. We have been here many times and had great meal so just outing it down to a bad day. Hopefully

Well what can I say I've been going to the beefeater (haywain ) in basildon for years but it is now going downhill quickly There was 4 of us last night No parmesan cheese No Bailey's No Brownies for desertThen at the end of the night we were not allowed to use our taste card which we had purchase for £30 and the waitress with a big grin just said taste had told them we could not use it I said they had told me we could she said it's on there web site so no you can't nothing to do with usSo u went on there web site this morning to see it said it's the restaurants choice if u use it or not as far as they are concerned we could of used itSo it looks like the haywain lied to us is thus the level of service a restaurant chain like them was people to receive because if that so I will cancel bith of my programmed visits next year and go somewhere elseI feel used and am disgusted with the haywain if this is true but as always I'm willng to see how they respond before I take any further action as I might of been just told a fib and they might take the action to correct it Let see if not never again and other people be warned

Ok it’s a chain. This was our first visit to a Beefeater for probably 20 years. Gone are the days of prawn cocktail followed by rump steak finished with Black Forest. The menu was varied with some health touches. We enjoyed the lamb and the surf and turf. 2 had the mixed grill which was excellent as well. The starters of flat cap mushroom was very tasty as was the buttermilk chicken. We had a voucher for 40% off mains. Though to be honest they were well priced in the first place. The service was great both girls serving upstairs were charming and couldn’t help enough. It won’t be another 20 years till we return that’s for sure

Good quality food at a reasonable price, and great service from Victoria made our afternoon just great.

Had heard lots of great reviews about this Beefeater, so myself and my fiancé decided to take a look! Wow. The food is exceptional, great portions, and tastes great. And the staff are excellent too! We had Victoria as our waitress, and she was simply superb - very attentive, friendly and helpful. Thanks Victoria!! Would recommend to all

We had a nice family meal at the restaurant starting with a friendly welcome from Joy at the front desk and carried through with Mark our server for the evening. Mark was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was also very nice and came out in good time with mine and my uncles steaks being cooked exactly how we asked for it. We will definitely be coming back.

Our second visit in a couple of months, this time in a family party of 4.We were greeted warmly on arrival and quickly shown to our table.The menu choice was excellent and all looked to be delicious. We all decided to order different mains and our orders were taken by a very friendly and efficient waitress, who was happy to explain all the meal options available.All the meals arrived promptly as ordered and piping hot.I has ordered the surf and turf that included steak, 2 shell on prawns,scallops plus calamary & mini squid in batter.This was delicious as were all the other meals. The very friendly waitress was attentive without being pushy or obtrusive.The restaurent is very roomy, well laid out, comfortable and airy.All in all it was a very enjoyable dining experience. Well done all!

Food was good,just maybe the kids menu could be a bit better on my opinion,but definitely will came back
