Beauvoir Arms in Chelmsford

I had the best evening at the Beauvoir Arms with my family last night for my birthday. There was plenty of choice on the menu and everyone loved their meals. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive and went above and beyond, even brought over some mocktails for us for my birthday, since we were driving! Will definitely be back!

We have been for Sunday lunch 5 star service and the food is 5 star aswell cannot fault anything you must come and try outstanding

Went for Christmas lunch and had an excellent time. Great food and great staff. Thanks very much. I am a regular but it looked like everyone else was having a great time as well.

We had a family gathering on Boxing Day Evening and ordered takeaway food for 13 people to be delivered. The food arrived on time, was well presented, hot and tasted lovely. Would highly recommend The Beauvoir Arms for a great way to cater for a function.

Booked a works Xmas party night in December, great atmosphere as soon as we arrived, glass of bubbles for everyone, table laid immaculately, live singer during the meal. 22 orders all came out together, hot and tasty from a good choice on menu . We then danced the night away to a dj. Couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely be going again in December 24!

Party Night to remember! I have visited this venue a number if times and am never disappointed with the friendly welcome, great food and service so was super excited to try one of the well-promised Christmas Party Nights and it didn’t disappoint! From the glass of chilled bubbles on arrival to a well thought out festive menu with plenty of choice it was clever how they timed service round the entertainment so you go to enjoy a hot meal before the party really started. Ami the singer is local and had just the right playlist to get everyone in the floor abc there was plenty of space to dance. The Dj was also great fun playing a mix of festive classics and floor fillers! When I left Cinderella style with my group of friends we all agreed we’d book for a bigger group next time. Went for Christmas Day. Service was excellent. Staff could not do enough for us. Can’t fault that at all. I agree that the food portions were on the small side (especially the desserts) but the food was nice. Don’t know why people are complaining no Yorkshire puddings, as that isn’t traditional with turkey (although I do have them when I cook my own lunch). Would go back, but think they just need to get rid of antipasti and Prosecco starters and make portions of food bigger. Would pay more for that. Thanks to the staff.

We left it late to book Christmas Lunch and our first choices were all booked in October, so pleased when Beauvoir Arms had availability……this should have been a warning sign. The menu had something for everyone and we looked forward to a relaxed and enjoyable Christmas lunch. In reality it was a huge, expensive disappointing experience. We appreciated the welcome drinks and the anti pasta to start but everything else fell very short of what we hoped for. The overall service was very slow and we waited an hour and a half between some courses. The main courses, the most anticipated meal of the year was totally underwhelming. The turkey was dry, no Yorkshire, the sausage meat was like cardboard, ONE pig in blanket, brussels hard. Beef wellington and pastry soggy. Desserts mediocre. Never happened before but we finally left 3 hours later still hungry! Overall a very disappointing experience.

Never again! Service was awful, being forgotten about and missing food! Food definitely wasn’t worth £80, meat overcooked and veg not cooked at all or 1 carrot. No Yorkshire puddings and one pig in blanket! Very disappointing, definitely won’t return 👎

good service, good food and wine, we were all very happy with everything, we all had something different, and we all enjoyed what we had, there is also plenty of parking.

The venue was almost empty when we arrived at 1300 on a Sunday. Huge restaurant took a while to order. Though waiter gave us about 15 seconds before asking for drinks order! My starter of fried calamari felt like it came out about 30 seconds too early. My main was a veal Daltimbovca, the Italian ham used was too salty and massively impacted upon the flavour. The potatoes and veg were very nice. My partner did enjoy her main and starter. For dessert I had exceptionally good pancakes!

Not the best experience or food if I am totally honest. As I entered the bar area i didn't quite know where the restaurant was, there were no signs.. I walked further down and could see the restaurant. I waited at the front to be seen to but no-one approached me, so i made my way back to the bar and explained i had a booking. I was told to take a seat at the bar. As i was waiting I could see guests were leaving after a wake. I did wait a good few minutes for our table, after asking if we can be seen to our table.. the restaurant area was still in a mess after the wake.. no tables were set up. So my friend and i went back to the bar and waited. When we finally sat down we were served. Food did arrive quickly.. Food was ok, not the best flavour or presentation.. especially the ravioli which was the most disappointing dish. There was no ambience in the restaurant.. no gentle background music or anything. The service was very good, all waiters seemed friendly and helpful. Pub itself looked quite nice once tidied and with candles lite during the evening.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday. Food was well cooked, delicious and plentiful. Excellent service and value. Will be back soon.

Ate here two weeks in a row, lovely food and very clean dining area. Staff very good and prices very reasonable too. Will definitely visit again soon 😊

Shocking behaviour. Booked for the 2nd year for Boxing day and closed both times. 1st time they blamed Covid (understandable) but this year it was booked a month before, and phoned to confirm the booking a couple of days before the day, and told all ok. Arrived and completely in darkness. Not even a phone call (you had my number) to say they are not going to be open. How to ruin someone's Birthday 2 years running. £40 paid for a taxi and nothing to show for it. You can't complain you are not busy, when you treat customers so badly.

The staff were attentive, friendly if a little slow on service. Waited a while for our drinks. I opted for 'baked' camembert as my starter. Oh dear! Definitely was not. First appearance, I thought it was soup and they'd got my order wrong. Just a bowl which clearly been microwaved. Basically, melted cheese in a bowl. Not impressed. However, the lamb shank was very good, though mash portion small and gravy not made properly, still full of granules. My husband had meatballs for starter, portion was small, sauce hot but meatballs warm at best. 2 of our party of 4 had lamb cutlets. Not much meat and incredibly fatty; inch of rind which was totally inedible. The tiramisu dessert was just a small square of coffee flavoured sponge. Definitely not a tiramisu. Sorry, I wouldn't choose to eat here again.

Ordered a take away meal for family celebration. Service excellent and food as good as in the restaurant. A great alternative when family not well enough to go out. Made the day special

Although the staff were pleasant enough they had no idea about what was required to be a waiter. From opening the wine to closing the bill they were incompetent. To make matters worse, the food was awful. The extensive menu needs to be cut in half and a proper chef employed. On a warm Saturday evening the place was virtually empty. No wonder.

Paid 9.00 for a king prawn stater that consisted of 2 prawns in a sauce and a small slice of garlic bread. Queried it because I couldn't believe that two prawns could be right, to be told that was the portion size. Won't be ever going back . Just shameful

When we first discussed this function with the restaurant they suggested we use the large terrace area to the side of the restaurant but we were conscious of the great British weather. Ash assured us that should the weather take a turn for the worst they would accommodate our party within the rear restaurant area. Communication leading up to the event was easy and Ash was always accommodating of every request, even arranging a cake for us. On the day the weather was lovely so they set us up up a mini bar outside, and we had the choice to play our own music without disturbing anyone else within he restaurant. The food came out on time and there was a great array of not only salad, sandwiches and pizzas , but scampi, chips, chicken bites, spaghetti bolognaise and much more. there truly was something for all ages. The mini cheesecake deserts and the mini tiramisu's were a great hit. Their is a safe garden area away from the road which is perfect for those with children and kept them entertained which the parents were able to mingle. We had requested the area between 12 and 4pm but come 6pm many of us were still enjoying ourselves on the terrace with no pressure from the staff to leave. I would highly recommend Ash and his team at the Beavoir Arms to hold any event. We thank them all for making my moms birthday such a memorable event.

9 of us ladies visited for a friend’s birthday and had the most amazing evening! The food was superb and plenty of it, honestly, we are still talking about it a week later! The service was excellent and the staff were efficient and friendly. As a local restaurant we have visited quite a lot over the years and have never had a bad experience yet, but this was the best! A wonderful evening, thank you Beauvoir, so much!

I am not one for writing a bad review. Been visiting this restaurant for a number of years. It was our go too restaurant as we always know we would get great food and service. But my last visit more than disappointed. Food was not up to its normal standard. In fact it was terrible. Not sure what has changed but will not be returning for a very long while, if at all. On looking at recent reviews we are not the only ones that things have changed. Hope this restaurant can turn things around. I will keep and ear out on what the locals have to say on it over the next few months before I would even consider visiting The Beauviour Arms again.

I booked a party of 23 ladies for a festive 3 course dinner and dance. Well we certainly feel festive now, a fabulous night, the attention to detail was wonderful, our own private area, with a drinks table with bottles of bubbles waiting for us on arrival. A great menu choice for all 3 courses, every dish came out hot and together, staff where friendly and attentive, we continued to dance away to a great DJ . We really couldn’t have had a better time, and we are definitely returning next xmas. If you are looking to book for any occasion then look no further then De Beauvoir Arms

Phoned up they accommodated our visit, friendly staff very welcoming, made cocktails to our choice, good food. Was actually there when they held an event and have seen the bad press and it was not what it was made out to be it was very controlled and still a good atmosphere and good customer service. See a family with children this evening and they was very accommodating for families too.

Shame people are judging this place on an event they did not even attend plus it did not cause any long term issues plus locals have hyped up c19 Issues as no one else has suffered. Food was good service ok I will return

Unbelievably slow service. Two hours for two courses? Staff wearing masks but many pulled down off nose so not terribly effective. Food nothing special, won't be returning.

Was there for what I thought was going to be a pleasant lunch. Was not expecting some event that breached CoVid rules and Licensing Laws. As for the Roast, the leather soles of my shoes were better than their beef. Don’t waste your money/time.

Just to say can’t fault the staff in any way in regards to service.I think this restaurant should stick to Italian as it’s what it’s good at. I can’t complain about the starters as they were lovely. We had meatballs & mozzarella.The roast on the other hand was awful. The chicken was dry & seemed processed, I struggled eating it after a while. The potatoes were few & not cooked properly & they wanted another £1.50 for a jug of gravy.I’d go back there for Italian food, but I’d give the Sunday roast a wide berth.

We decided to try this place for a change delivered and to have a 3 course meal for our Saturday night takeaway treat my wife chose the liver pate to start followed by spaghetti bolognese then for sweet cheesecake I chose king scallops to start followed by fruiti Di mare Al Linguini (I.e. seafood linguini) to finish tiramisu the order came to £60 the delivery came very quickly when we ate the starter it was so tasty n very presentable main course much the same absolutely tasty filling n very presentable both dishes were very enjoyable the sweets were fine but nothing compared with first two dishes we each had all in all very much enjoyed and will definitely been ordering again

The prawn cocktail was inedible, a cupful of defrosted prawns in almost no sauce, definitely wasn't prawn cocktail sauce.The the roast, lamb was OK, chicken like lumps of cardboard, and potatoes and parsnip dried up. Honestly the worst pub meal ever experienced. The place was swarming with flies, they seemed to be enjoying the food.

This pub should be shut down for good!!after it allowed an event to happen during Covid-19. No social distancing, 600 plus people at a music event, When government say these events can’t take place. Disgrace

Well after weeks of lockdown we decided to have a decent meal (with no cooking) The takeaway was really good - vegetables perfect, fish lovely, starters well presented. Great friendly staff as alwaysS Well worth a try in these weird times.

We have enjoyed regular visits to this restaurant in the past and never been disappointed. Since the lockdown we have seen that they started takeaways and now wonder why we waited so long before trying something. I hope your experience will be as good as ours. The staff were as friendly as ever. We ordered three courses for collection. The food was the same excellent quality as in the restaurant and the portions just as big. It was hot and well packaged and, most importantly, very, very, tasty. If you didn't know they are still open for takeaways, try them, and if you enjoy yours as much as we did, tell your friends! We'll be back again soon.

Visited in a Wednesday evening, delighted to see we could have 3 courses for £19.99 on their set menu, which whole menu (without the chef specials!). The service was lovely, and the staff were very attentive. Made us feel very welcome. Food was delicious, and any issues were dealt with professionally and timely. Would definitely choose here over chain restaurants, as there was such a good feel about the place!There was such a variety on the menu, that there is plenty for everyone. Cannot recommend enough! I wish I had photos, but the food was so tasty that none of us could wait to dig in!

We visited 29 February with another couple having been recommended by an acquaintance. The restaurant is in Downham village a 5 minute drive from Wickford.Thought we were going for a quiet meal but were pleasantly surprised by the entertainment provided by The Ratpack show. A duo singing great swing songs and bringing the place to life. There is entertainment on a regular basis on a Saturday evening, take a look at the website.Food is Italian and was lovely. Good choice of menu and all served with a smile from our attentive waiter. We will definitely be back.

This meal was excellent. The sauces had a depth of flavour. Busy atmosphere, but never kept waiting. Restuarant was hard to find.

This was our third visit, this time with friends who hadn't been before. The food is very good and the restaurant clean and spacious. The seniors deal is very good value. We will certainly return.

Brought 4 friends here as we had been before. They were well impressed with decor, service not bad, food delicious. We will return.

Paid £80 for Xmas dinner! I guess the cost to them per head was less than £10! I never felt as though I have had my pants pulled down more than dining here.The starter Beef carpaccio was actually cured strips of beef that were pre prepared with no care, the other two starters were lobster pasta ( very small portions ). I was informed it was passable!I can only describe the Christmas main dinner as the poorest of school dinners. Two over cooked slices of beef with potatoes like bullets and over cooked veg. After stating this to the waiter they said they would redo the dish! The same food arrived, this time on a square plate! Divs!The desert, Christmas pudding! ....the size and shape of a small Panna Cotta, literally a centimetre thick and 3 inches across! Tasted “bought in”!So Christmas dinner totally ruined as a result of these monkeys! Avoid at all cost...and it will cost for cheap food, so be aware! Disgusting both food and cost (even tho in the end I just paid a portion of the cost - wine mainly, and ended up drunk as a result of not eating their poor - rip off food)

We have had lunch today for 50 people. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Imran was an excellent host of the restaurant and very accommodating with our requirements. We would reccomend this restaurant. Very good.

A very reliable venue for luncheon offering pleasant service and value for money. Extensive set menu, but it would be nice to have specials now and again. No hesitation in making a return visit.

Once again the Management and Staff of the Beauvoir Arms made our Christmas Lunch very enjoyable. The Food was very good and the staff very friendly.

As pensioners we took advantage of their seniors menu offer on Monday to Saturday lunchtimes. The food is excellent and the price really good. Very busy as you would expect for such a good offer but service was excellent. A relaxing lunch with good food in a nice calm atmosphere.

The quality of the food and service is great but we have different ideas on what sauté potatoes are. I don’t believe they should be new potatoes halved with skin left on, tossed about in a pan of oil. They should be thin slices slightly crispy. I absolutely hate potatoes with the skin on! The Rib eye steak, was plentiful and very tender but had absolutely no flavour what so ever, and rib eye served with said skin on potatoes

We had booked a table for four in advance which was just as well as one couple had to be turned away as the main restaurant was booked for a large funeral wake and there were limited tables in the bar area where we were seated.

Great venue for a charity fundraising meal. This is the second year that Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club has organised such an event, with 82 present this year. The staff are ever helpful and attentive and deal admirably with that number of people all expecting their meal to arrive on the table around the same time! They offer a wide and varied menu and cater for all sorts of dietary requests. The feedback received is very positive and the club is grateful to Beauvoir Arms for their support in helping to raise funds for End Polio Now.

We visited The Beauvoir Arms after our friends said how excellent it was so we all decided to visit for sunday roast with our five year old in tow who is a very fussy little eater. On entering two had coffee and one a wine spritzer and i had a white wine. Hmm it was rather unpleasant, it tasted of watered down wine. We drank our drinks whilst we sat in a very nice reception area as we was a little early for our reserved table. The decor was very nice and the seating area etc very well presented. We eventually were taken through to the dining area which i was very impressed with. All done out with beams and one point that i really liked was that the there wasnt lots of tables and the tables they did have were well spaced (nothing worse than when you are dining out and feel like the people on the next table are touching your elbows) First point which i would like to comment on is that this restaurant is a nice elegant dining experience so surely a nicely presented menu would be a good idea ? Our starter/sunday roast/dessert menu was merely on a sheet of printed paper (a little curled at the sides) How much nicer if the menu was in one of those leather folders that open. I had the garlic sauteed mushrooms for starter that came with a slice of garlic bread and it was so delicious! The creamy sauce the mushrooms came in was so tasty. Our friends said their prawn cocktails were lovely too. For mains i chose the turkey roast. It was a big portion ! The meat was really good and the yorkshire delicious plus the bowl of broccoli carrots and runner beans very nicely cooked. I prefer my cauliflower cheese to be more well done but that just a personal preference and although the roast potatoes were tasty i would have preferred the smaller and more crispy and more colour and maybe one more please. The stuffing was a thumbs down im afraid. I was looking forward to something rustic and tasty but this stuffing was dark in colour and in two slices and not at all tasty. Our little five year old is as i said a very fussy eater so i brought her a packed lunch along (there is a childrens menu) the staff didnt mind her sitting there eating her bagel and cheddars plus chocolate so thankyou to them. Now back to the wine. What is this unpleasant drink they serve here ! it was vile and i actually feel they were serving me non alcoholic wine or wine mixed with water. I had three in all and unfortunately this was tone of the worst wines ive had whilst out dining. But another good point here is that the staff didnt keep being pests like some places where you are eating and once your cheeks are full like a hamster they swoop over asking if everything is alright ! And we all agreed that we didnt feel at all rushed whilst eating our courses. for dessert the menfolk had apple strudel whilst us ladies opted for the cheesecake and my one had the most gorgeous maple sauce with it i wanted to lick the plate but controlled myself. I tasted hubbys strudel and it was lovely. Our five year old loved her ice cream with chocolate sauce. Another small gripe is that a few times we had to ask twice like when we asked for the bill and then had to ask again and when i had to ask twice where my drink was i ordered plus it would be nice if the male staff smiled just that bit more, they were very serious. There are a couple of toilets and the first time i went in one of them it was so dark i could barely find the toilet roll not sure if the bulbs were faulty. Now onto a bad point (sorry guys) but this restaurant is being badly let down by the exterior. Near the car park is a childrens play area and benches and tables however its such a bad look for some of the fences to be broken and laying on the grass ! Also quite a few of the tables had glasse on that had been there so long they actually had mould spores in ! Totally unacceptable. But this is an honest review and despite some not so good points this was a lovely meal in a very attractive setting (well inside) and yes we will be back so its nothing that has put us off from coming again. We booked a table for Saturday lunchtime and was very pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. The food was served piping hot and was delicious. My king prawn starter and Sicilian cod was so tasty. We are all looking forward to visiting again soon.

Myself and my wife have been here before. We decided to book my parents anniversary meal. There was 10 of us altogether. Food was amazing as always and everyone left in food coma’s. Lovely little gem this place. Highly recommended

Went back for our second visit. Lovely atmosphere, good food and good service. Early evening offers are good too.

Having many times driven past this former Pub, which then became an Indian and then back to a pub and now a Pub/Italian, I decided to take my partner there on a Thursday evening to sample the 2 for 1 menu. We were shown to the back room, which to be honest is nicely set out, that is the only good thing I can find to say. I had Calamari to start, there were 5 small pieces, all were cold. My partner had mussels, which, although not stated on the menu, were swimming in tomato sauce, she left them. I then had the beef lasagne, which was OK, my partner ordered carbonara, she ate 25% of it, the rest was sunk below a full bowl of cream, she left it. The staff did offer to change it for something else but by then the damage had been done. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for" on this occasion we got less than our monies worth. I now know why the car park is empty on 5 nights of the week

Back for another meal with family. This time I had the set Sunday meal of Chicken and mushroom soup, followed by roast beef, roast potatos, yorkshire pudding + veg.with Chocolate Brownie for sweet. Soup was very good and the beef slices were nice and thick and very tender, melt on the tongue. It was delicious. Personally prefer my veg cooked a little more, but it seems to be the style these days, to leave them very crunchy. Chocolate brownie was very nice, along with the cream and ice cream. This time we were at the front of the restaurant, tucked to one side, a pleasant position. Service could have been a little quicker, but on the upside, we were not rushed to vacate the table. So it was a leisurely meal that was enjoyed by all 8 of us.

Another visit to this lovely restaurant in Downham. Great food and great prices. Already booked for the Christmas menu.

We are regulars here. As a couple and with the family. Lovely food. Great value and friendly service. If there is a problem it is easily rectified. Recommended

My husband and I have just returned from De Beauvoir Arms after a fabulous 25th anniversary meal. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Staff and service were fantastic, food was exceptional. We had a lovely evening so glad we decided to book we weren’t sure as we wanted a restaurant and we assumed as it was called De Beauvoir Arms it was a pub but we were so wrong gorgeous friendly restaurant with fabulous food and service so glad we went we will definitely be back.

There were four of us, that went for lunch at the Beauviour Arms. Food was excellent, service was great, price was good and the place is amazing inside.

Popped here for the last two weeks to take advantage of their 2 and 3 course food offer before 7pm and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent and you can choose from anything on the menu which is not the normal for these type of offers. We will definitely be going again v soon and would highly recommend!

We had our 55th wedding anniversary celebration dinner party for 50 of our closest friends at the de Beauvoir Arms Italian restaurant on August 3rd....and what a fabulous night Zee, Imran and the lovely staff gave us!!

Been here several times & all round well worth it every time. Good value menu , quality food & portions ~ Italian dishes but there is plenty of other dishes as well ~ parking easy ~ service is excellent ~ can only recommend it ~

We had not been for a while so we hoped not to be disappointed (it was my birthday). We were not disappointed at all!!!

Would highly recommend this restaurant it is absolutely fabulous. The food was fantastic, the staff amazing and the surroundings very comfortable. We were extremely impressed with the waiters serving our food with gloves on. The prices are very reasonable. Can’t wait to go back. Only took these photos, the rest was just as good but because of that we are them before I thought about photos. Our only complaint, which isn’t really a big complaint was that the music that started at 9pm was too loud for us. Apparently they only do it once a month.

On behalf of the Carers Ministries from Rayleigh Baptist Church, we would like to thank the staff, and particularly the chef, for a lovely meal to celebrate Carers Week. We took 68 Carers, Cared For, and Team out for our annual meal, and once again the restaurant gave us a great experience.

We visited yesterday lunch time to celebrate our parents 64th wedding anniversary. Dad is very unwell and hasn’t been out for a meal like this in a long time. He is in a wheelchair and so needed help getting into the restaurant. The staff were great and helped in so many ways. Dad was poorly when he first arrived and again the staff were so helpful and understanding. We were able to enjoy a fantastic meal together and Dad managed a starter and then thoroughly enjoyed the crumble and ice cream for dessert. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who made our lunchtime so enjoyable. We will certainly be arranging to visit again as soon as we can.

Reasonable meal, nothing particularly outstanding but adequate and reasonable on price. The bank camembert was returned as very overcooked, seafood pizza was okay, service rather patchy to say the least. Not a bad meal, but not one to rush back for.

Friendly and very welcoming atmosphere, complimented by excellent food. Well worth a visit! Restaurant is accessible via side entrance for those with mobility issues.

I booked weeks in advance for 16 people and explained the occasion, but from the moment we arrived the service wasn't good. After a long wait half the drinks arrived and then we had to chase the other half. The starters arrived after about an hour. People arriving after us were served before us and the entire meal took over 3 hours. The staff were offhand and the waiter dropped a glass of red wine over the table. Food was average (we had the set meal). There isn't a vegetarian starter on this and it was clear that asking for one was too much trouble.

Went to Beauvoir Arms with family for Mothering Sunday, We have eaten here in the past but a long time ago, it seemed ok then so thought we'd try it again.

I knew this would be a great venue for my big birthday celebration, but it exceeded my expectations. Nothing was too much trouble from the first planning meeting to the day itself. My 60 guests were spoilt for choice in advance with a great selection for each course, and I have had many messages saying how much they enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Service was efficient and discreet and the food was absolutely delicious. No-one was rushed and the whole occasion was perfect, thanks to all the staff. Would thoroughly recommend.

Meal was good but dessert menu was misleading. Cheesecake with butterscotch sauce?

Found this by accident. Massive Italian menu for lunch everything from pizza and pasta to steak, lamb and fish. Went with my daughter and parents and something for everyone. All topped off by great service. Looks to be a great outside area when the summer comes around. Totally revommended.

Ten of us girls for lunch. Staff were really good and patient, nothing too much trouble. Lunches all came out together, all hot and well presented. Not one complaint from any of us, which believe me is unusual.

Second visit to this fabulous Italian restaurant for lunch once again we were not disappointed. Very good value, the food is perfect and the staff lovely. Thoroughly recommended

Have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff quite charming. They have a wonderful 2 course deal at lunchtimes and an early evening deal Monday to Friday. They also have a good Sunday lunch menu.

Lovely Food and excellent staff

Food was excellent. My husband ordered the lobster linguini, and i have to say that it would have cost us more to cook it ourselves. For £32 he got a whole lobster, cooked superbly with lovely linguini. My monkfish was equally lovely and good value. Too full for dersert, but starters were also very good. We will be making it a regular. Service was also very friendly.
