Great little place for light snack

Had a lovely breakfast of brie and prosciutto toastie and the best apple juice I have ever tasted. Will be going there regularly from now on.

Happy staff and delicious coffee. Light(ish) roast beans, slow pour, choice of beans. I was absolutely delighted to find this place. I didn't eat but the food looked good.

I live locally so have popped in here a few times to grab a flat white or iced matcha to go whilst walking and both are amazing! So finally came here for brunch on Saturday and wow, so so good! I had the glow toast (beetroot humous, avo, balsamic drizzle and a side of feta) this was so delicious, and my bf had the smoked salmon and cream cheese on toast with avo on the side and he loved his too. We then shared a Nutella cruffin which was honestly just unreal! Also the guy serving us was just the nicest guy ever, he was so so friendly and even though there is limited seating and it’s super popular we didn’t feel like we were getting rushed, and love that it’s doggo friendly! 10/10 all round

Excellent little cafe that serves superb coffee. If you have experienced coffee in Australia you will appreciate just how good it can be. Lovely vibe with jazz playing in the background, friendly staff and a nice menu.

I could live here. Today, was my first visit recommended by a friend. This place didn’t disappoint. Not only super tasty, but generous portions with a retro vibe. Smoothest coffee in town for sure. Love love love, and I’ll be back!

Very good coffee - I am from Australia where coffee is superb so it’s taken me a while to find somewhere that replicates the good stuff. Very reasonable price too. Soft jazz playing, the place has a lovely vibe so I will definitely be back.

I've been a customer at Bean & Cole for a few years and have always looked forward to my coffee and breakfast there when in Chester. Today I ordered an extra hot mocha, with sweetner and received a mocha, tepid at best. The almond croissant's consistency was best suited to heavy sour dough than light and flaky. The atmosphere which is always vibey and friendly was more funereal and soulless. Food in the cabinet had been mislabelled. So sad that such a lovely coffee shop doles out this experience to customers when the owners are not in store.

Have been a regular & always been happy with the service & food/drinks but what a difference today! Long wait to be served, no apology, no welcome, no smiles & coffee disappointing . Staff need to up their game.

Bean & Cole is my favourite "go-to" spot in Chester whether it be a solo trip, a lunch date with my husband, or a family breakfast out. The acai bowl is my absolute favourite, and never leaves me disappointed! Lovely staff and nice environment.

We had the salmon toast and spicy tuna toastie. Tasty, fresh ingredients. Nice coffee and good service. The playlist was perfect! We went during peak time on a Saturday and although it was full when we arrived, a table quickly became available.

Wonderful little cafe serving fab food and drinks & cakes & snacks too. Great friendly staff too. Just need to improve on the unisex Toilet . I've been going for awhile now & me & a few other customers next to me today have said the same that there's a unpleasant metallic, rusty smell in the bathroom. Its very pungent. Otherwise it's perfect.

We always come here for a coffee, early morning on our shopping visits to Chester. Lovely coffee, lovely biscuits and friendly service .

It was a pleasure to drop in for lunch at Bean and Cole. It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff who work as a great team. Despite it being busy, our meal arrived quickly. We loved the smoked salmon and cream cheese on toast and the toasted which were a more unusual take on those offered elsewhere. Will definitely go again when back in Chester.

Lovely atmosphere with attentive service. I had Avocado Toast which was delicious and my husband had a beautifully presented granola bowl which was also very tasty. Nice atmosphere, coffee was pretty decent however seating is quite uncomfortable.

I ordered a banana toast and filter coffee and my girlfriend ordered cappuccino and muffins. All of them were delicious and more than good for serve. I will come to enjoy the coffee and toast.

The service, food and drinks were spot on. Really enjoyed my visit here. My only feedback would be that there’s not too many tables so I saw a few people waiting for somewhere to sit - always a challenge when a place is popular!

Genuinely exceptional. Coffee was top quality and the barrister was knowledgeable! The food was sublime. Excellently ran and thought out venue, space is optimised well and decor is lovely, especially the green tile bar.

Stayed in Chester for 3 days and for the first two days breakfast I came here, I was craving their avocado toast on the third day but got dragged somewhere else. The avo toast is lovely I’m usually not keen on sliced avo I prefer smashed but this has converted me it was so creamy and the sourdough was stunning it was a 10/10 for me. Cafe is small but welcoming can just get a bit crowded at times but that was no problem for me. I loved it and would defo come again if I’m back in Chester

Called in for brunch today but I can't get into the shop as I am in a wheelchair. However, the staff came outside and took my order. Lovely cappuccino and absolutely delicious avocado on toast!! First class service. Went back to the owner to say Thank you. Life isn't always easy when you're in a wheelchair! I will be back!

For being 5 stars, it’s disappointing. Ambience and vibe were nice but the toasties we ordered were dripping in grease. Appears to be a healthy organic cafe but will leave you with heart burn.

Great independent coffee shop. The staff are so friendly, nice and cheery. They go above and beyond and make you feel extremely welcome. The coffee is good and very well presented.
