Beach Box in Pembrokeshire

Stopped here for a quick coffee and were disappointed. Coffee was lukewarm/cold. Wouldn't come back.

Such a beautiful view but made even more special was the experience and welcome we received from staff. On every occasion our family and (in particular) my 4 year old boy received such a warm welcome and lovely service from what I can presume was the owner or manager. The drinks and snacks we had over the duration of our stay were all great. We returned multiple times due to the service. I also observed the interaction with other people and it was so genuine- what was exceptionally telling was that staff working the beach such as lifeguards and paddle boarding staff chose to eat or drink here- and it really is no surprise!! There are other cafes/ spots on the beach but if you want to feel valued, get great service and a warm welcome then this is the one for you.

Had a BLT rustic roll and it was delicious! Tried my partners fish finger roll too and it was fresh and tasty. Lovely place right on the beach :)

Wow one of best wraps ever! I had chicken bacon and avocado. Hubby had Jumbo fish fingers on rustic roll. On top of that sat looking out over the beach, best views too. What more can you ask for lunch!!

We had some fantastic sandwiches to take down to the beach for our lunch. I was a little hesitant as I thought the prices might be a bit high for light bites. But no, all orders are made to order with lovely bread and fresh ingredients. Tasted amazing!

Unexpectedly good bacon & cheese burger from this place(one of best have ever had) & nice cup of tea. Shame they didn’t do fries with it, but can’t have everything. Other than that ideal and convenient location right by the beach, fair price for what it was too, just what was needed after walking for an hour and a half along the coast.

I hade a spicy chicken salad thing (cajun chicken perhaps, sorry can’t remember exactly) and it was the best thing I ate in Tenby all week. My wife had a vegetarian wrap of some kind (possibly Haloumi, sorry don’t remember exactly what she had either), and she thought hers was the best thing SHE ate in Tenby all week. We couldn’t fault it. We ended up going back later in the week too as it was so good. The lady serving was really personable too, and she was happy to customise the salads we had with our food to accommodate our preferences. Highly recommended based on what we had. Not many tables, perhaps, but you can always sit on the beach, which is about a metre away!

My family and I went on holiday to South Wales last week and had lunch at the Beach Box when visiting Tenby beach and we were highly impressed. The staff were very friendly and provided a good service, the food was delicious (we had a grilled chicken salad box and chicken wraps) and I would highly recommend, definitely worth the money.

We only discovered this place by chance as it's a bit out of sight beyond Salty's (not entirely sure Google maps have got it right) but we were so glad we did. The staff are great - really friendly and helpful. It's only a small place but they have an excellent choice of take away food (much better than the norm) including several gluten and vegan options. The food is all freshly prepared very quickly while you wait and there are a good number of benches to sit at. Everything we had was very tasty, good portions and value for money. Would highly recommend.

We came here on our way back to the car after coming away from tenby town itself due to it being extremely busy! I had the most delicious cajun chicken salad with cous cous and homemade coleslaw, very tasty! My boyfriend also had a bacon roll which was nice too. I thought the chicken and bacon were good quality meat.

Town was very busy on my walk with Rosie the dog, discovered this by the south beach. Perfect - teas/coffees and a good array of wraps and burgers. Plenty of meat and vegan options. I enjoyed my spicy bean burger and tea, thanks!

Great little cafe adjacent to South Beach car park and South Beach. There is a small amount of seating available. Staff friendly. I had a cheese burger and Latte, which were both nice.

With very limited options for dining on beach level so we decided to eat here, and dived in to a rarely available table. The initial woman taking our order turned to the man behind us and stated he was first, he looked as shocked as we were but proceeded to give his order. The woman then left and a young man appeared to take our order. We ordered hot dogs, a wrap and burger and drinks. The first woman reappeared and directly addressed my son in law and told him that there would be a delay as they had run out of burger buns. Both my cousin and I instantly felt that this woman was deliberately avoiding contact with us because we are black, my son in law is white. It has been a while where I have felt that some one has openly treated me differently because of my colour but I can honestly say that was my initial experience here. Then I saw a review where the restaurant refused to accept Scottish pounds as legal tender, which I thought was funny but proved the point that there is a issue with accepting difference at this establishment. The food is pretty mediocre, the hotdogs were a bit chewy and the bread was dry so I would not recommend, apart from this one woman the other staff were perfectly pleasant. Good stop for tea, coffee, chocolate bars etc but food not for me.

Had the best burger ever here today. The meet was so tasty and the bun it was served in was really tasty, definitely not your run of the mill soft roll. Service was good and very friendly. Highly recommended

Coffee was delicious, chicken wraps and chicken salad boxes were fantastic, really fresh tasting and cooked to order. Defintely recommend would go there over the brains pub ten times over customer service was brilliant

Prejudice cafe. They dont accept Scottish money despite it being no different to English money...no exchange rate to worry about honey!! Technically English notes can be refused in Scotland, except they wouldn't do that because they aren't idiots, wish i could say the same about here!

What a lovely place to get a burger right by the Beach when we stay in the South Beach Apartments we also try and get a burger or chicken wrap

As my mother is disabled (and we have a dog), the South Beach car park is a perfect place for us to access the beach. Finding the Beach Box - firstly for a morning coffee and then for lunch was a godsend. The food is fresh, delicious, generous - efficiently served and definitely worth the money. Thoroughly recommend this place, and thank all the staff for making days at the beach all the more relaxing.

Great spot, nite indoors and outdoors atmosphere clean in all the areas including bathroom (Very important). Food turn over impressive as busy as it was.

Thought it was a little pricey at first but food was excellent and worth every penny

Recenently visited the streetfood festival and the food at the Beach box topped the lot - great quality and sublime location. so relaxing eating on the beach whilst the kids ran free.

Stayed in Waterstone Apartment and could see the beach box from our room. Went down and had 2 bacon and avocado rolls, a hot dog and coffees. Service was really friendly and food was amazing, best we had eaten out all week. Highly recommend it

We ordered two rolls for lunch, bacon in one and avocado and chicken in the other, they were cooked to order. And were totally delicious. Lush.

It’s hard to sometimes find a healthy snack by the beach but this place had loads. I had the naked burger(no bread) salad box with cous cous. Really delicious and smelt and tasted so fresh. No wait. Freshly prepared. Loads of sauces choices and very unusual ones too. Lots of quality choice drinks and lovely coffee. There is seating but we were plagued by tiny black flies so ate in nearby park. Beautiful setting.

I came here to refuel after competing in the Wales half marathon. The staff were friendly and attentive. The cheese burger was outstanding, using quality ingredients and far surpasses your expectations. Thanks, I will definitely be coming back.

Don't be put off by all of the pompous drinks on display, the food is really nice and we'll presented and the staff are friendly, but remember you are eating at the edge of a beach next to the car park, but don't let that put you off.Worth a visit when your on the south beach.

Very good for a beach outdoor cafe.

While exploring the lovely town of Tenby, we were ready for a late lunch, and after checking out the rather flashy and overpriced new complex restaurant at the end of the esplanade, we found this great little cafe serving hot and cold, reasonably priced food, right on the beach! What a brilliant idea, a converted shipping container, with a very cool shabby chic beach vibe, spotlessly clean, a good range of tasty fresh food, lovely staff, and tables on the sand - what more could you possibly want! We'll definitely be going back there next time we're nearby.

Stopped for a coffee and a bacon roll whilst walking the dog on a sunny Sunday morning. It was very busy, but staff were polite and getting through the orders quick enough. Coffee was lovely, as was the bacon roll. Right on the beach with great views out to sea. A place to easily revisit.

OK, so it's a converted shipping container painted bright blue but don't let that put you off. It looks spotlessly clean, well stocked and very pleasant and efficient staff. We had excellent barista style coffees in the morning and wandered back along the beach to buy some liunch there. I had a standard burger in adelicious rustic bun with loads of salad - freshly prepared and delicious. My wife ordered a chicken mayo bun. After a short wait it arrived. Freshly gilled slices of chiken breast with mayo, salad and in a rustic roll. We both thoroughly enjoyed our very tasty and substatial meals. They have four bench/tables for customers as well as a number of plastic recliners at the very top of the beach. Extensive menu which also catered for vegans and vegetarians. Busy but a lovely spot to wait for your food - if the weather's good that is! Well done!

A tastefully converted shipping container located on Tenby's south beach car park. Great food and good service .... perfect! We chose the haloumi, courgette and chipotle sandwich, a BLT and a chicken salad. All fresh and tasty! Lovely coffee too! £30 - worth it though. Highly recommended.

Lovely little place for food! Food quality was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly and were very happy to accommodate something for the kids. Would highly recommend it for a lunch stop on the Beach

What a fabulous surprise on the beach, wonderful friendly service and amazing burgers! A wonderful lunch could not be topped!

Visited the Beach Box today and it was a complete delight. We were sat on the Beach Box chairs, basking in the sun whilst looking at the wonderful view of Tenby South Beach. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with Asian slaw and it was unbelievably delicious; a real taste sensation. My friend had the deli deluxe burger (proper butcher burger, portobello mushroom, pepper, tomato, lettuce, cheese, bacon, chipotle sauce) and he said it was the best burger he had ever had.

The food was very good for it's value! Drinks were expensive though.

Excellent no frills fish and chips for all 4 of us . Good prompt,polite and intelligent service.And you come out much better off than if you'd gone down the road to 'Coast' and paid three times the price.

I am a fan / no possibly a local to this small establishment - Its a casual and fun little eatery perched on the side of a lovely beach in Tenby.

Great cup of coffee, place to sit and watch over the South Beach view. Has a selection on food items, but not tried any. Except for muffins and cookies which went down well with coffee. Really pleasant place.

A beautiful, sunny day at South Beach on today's August bank holiday. We went for a bite to eat at 1pm to be told to come back in 30 minutes because the kitchen staff couldn't cope with demand. Incredible. I don't know what they base their business model on but it drastically needs revising. It then got better (worse actually). We returned 30 minutes later to be told that they had run out of bread rolls and were running out of salad. All by 2pm!! All they had left to sell was drinks, biscuits and crisps.

I had the most delicious teriyaki chicken salad box from here, eaten on the beach in the sunshine, yum.

You must try their cheeseburger. Best I have ever had.. Friendly staff Freshly cooked and made with Welsh beef
