She took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering insights into the unique spices and flavors used in each dish. Unlike any other Indian restaurant I've been to, Mitra made personalized recommendations that were spot on! We tried the curry and mixed kebab and it was phenomenal - the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the sauce had a delightful depth of flavor. The whole experience - from Mitra's attentiveness to the delicious food - made my dad's birthday truly special. Amazing food but most of all amazing service! We where a group booking of around 16 people which isn't always a easy serve but Mitra was brilliant. Would be recommending bayleaf to everyone I know Thank you soo much for everything today!

Wonderful Indian food, with both classic dishes and some modern twists all presented so well. The fish curry and the lamb in particular were standout items. Definitely on the more expensive side but I feel that it was worth it on this occasion, with great service throughout.

A truly great experience everytime we visit . Fantastic flavours , excellent service and lovely ambience. A special mention to our waitress Mitra too as she was very accommodating and patient with a hungry and demanding group of 8 of us !

A very nice restaurant. Clean and very friendly staff. The food was very nice and tasty. Note that most main curry dishes comes with rice, so you do not have to order this separately. Very spacious between tables so you can have nice conversations with your parry and not drowned out by the noise of the other tables. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10 Indian restaurant, about as far removed from your 'local Indian' as it gets. The food was innovative whilst remaining true to its roots, fresh, very well balanced and most importantly, tasted superb. Highly recommend.

Food was truly wonderful, 5 course vegetarian taster menu was of excellent value, well thought out as well. Staff are very friendly, creating a very welcoming atmosphere.

It is always an experience to dine at Bayleaf. We went to celebrate my birthday with my family and they all loved the food, service and warmth of all.

The customer service was fantastic! Very attentive and welcoming. The decor and seating was comfortable. The food was delicious, we ordered many starters and mains, all were great. Booking is easy and restaurant was clean. Prices were reasonable. Staff are paid service charge to by the owner after speaking to staff, which is fair. Definitely a great service all round. Highly recommend.

Average Bangladeshi restaurant serving Indian food. We ordered a few plates of food between four of us - chilli paneer, jaipuri okra fry, chicken 65, a spicy lamb curry, mixed vegetable curry, spinach paneer, lemon rice, papadoms, tandoori roti and naan. The good bits first - the ambience of the restaurant was really good - smart and good-looking venue, smartly dressed staff and excellent table layout. Great location on T&W high street. The presentation of the food was very good and we witnessed some theatrical presentation (with dry ice) at a neighbouring table. We were also informed by the waiter that it was a fine dining venue. Now to the not so good part. The food itself - the restaurant got the flavour profile and origin story of all the dishes wrong. The name of the dishes and the flavours in the dish did not match. This is ok for a person who is unaware of the flavours that supposed to be associated with those dishes, but would be disappointing for a person who had ordered and selected an item off the menu expecting certain flavours. The only reason for this, if I were to guess, the kitchen staff and the chef, are not Indian, but Bangladeshi. Hence, the limited understanding of the flavours associated with the dishes. Another odd thing we noticed was they charging (and not informing us) for the sauces they serve with the poppadums. To summarise, it is a great place for someone looking for food with Indian spices with great ambience and presentation to accompany it, but would be disappointing for someone who knows how their Indian dishes should taste like.

Was here for my leaving meal and it was one of, if not, the best Indian meals I have ever had (Dumba Bhuna Masala). Our waitress (Mitra) recommended the Crispy Kale Chaat and it was phenomenal just like the whole service! Unfortunately I am moving to New Zealand, but will be thinking of this meal every time I have a curry 🤩

Overpriced and the food is not what you'd expect from a authentic Indian restaurant. The menu is limited too. There are plenty far better Indian restaurants around.

Our visit to Bayleaf last Saturday was fantastic! It's a great spot for families. The kids loved the colourful mocktails, especially the Blue Dragon. The Momo dumplings and South Indian Spiced Lamb starters were not only tasty but also beautifully presented. For the main course, we opted for a variety of dishes to share. Butter Chicken is a must-try and the unforgettable Maharani Dal – truly one of the best I've ever had. We finished off the meal with two delightful desserts. What really stood out was the friendly and attentive staff. They made us feel welcome and had some excellent recommendations. Bayleaf is a top choice for a delicious family dinner. You must visit!

Completely amazing meal here. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do more for you but not overbearing. The food was outstanding with some really unique flavours in some of the dishes. Really couldn’t recommend more highly.

Had the most beautiful evening with my husband here. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It seemed quite romantic - the majority of people were dressed to impress as a couple. The cocktails were phenomenal and the food was out of this world and would eat here every day if I could.

The Lady serving us was very good. All the recommendations she gave us was great. The chicken dumplings momo she recommended was absolutely brilliant for the cameras.

My wife and I visited “London” on vacation and found this restaurant. From now on, anytime we are in London, we will be visiting this establishment. Wonderful wait staff and even better food. It is well worth the train ride if you are staying in London proper. My wife and I are Celiac and the only menu item we ordered that we don’t recommend is the Lamb biryani. It comes with a naan crust on top for being made in the tradition way. But still! Hands down the best meal we’ve ever had in London.

We have lived in Europe for 4 years and this is the single best meal I have ever had. As someone with celiac disease, finding gluten free options is not difficult in London. But this was exquisite. The food, atmosphere, and care of the staff was above and beyond. We will most certainly be back.

We hosted a very special occasion at the Bayleaf. We were blown away by the professionalism and warmth shown to us and every one of our guests. The food was complimented and commented on by all...so tasty, flavourful and presented with panach and plenty of it! They (all staff) looked after us like we were family and catered to our every need. Now we go back at every opportunity, enjoy the style and warmth and of course the amazing food, whenever we can. Mr Miah and his Team are our first choice to deliver a first class, memorable and tasty dining experience.

I had genuinely been looking forward to dining at this establishment; however, I must admit that my experience left much to be desired. The ambiance, in particular, felt rather chilly and lacked the warmth I had anticipated. While I don't mind investing in quality cuisine, I couldn't help but feel that the menu was a tad overpriced. Unfortunately, the dishes, despite their impressive presentation, did not meet my expectations. As a result, I'm uncertain whether I'll be returning to dine here anytime soon

Spectacular presentation of food, great cocktails and attentive service. Kale chat was really tasty. Brownie dessert was outstanding. Do not mind paying higher prices for quality but was lacking on detail - potatoes were not soft for saag aloo, dip for bhajias was bland and some dishes were quite average.

I wish people would stop complaining about the price. Where has everyone been in the last couple of years. All foods have gone up in price, including supermarkets… It’s quite obvious the delicious food is of high quality. I absolutely love the food here. We need more quality restaurants in the area. The food here is excellent so I expected to pay more than a “normal” Indian. It is still on the high side but just about worth it. We all enjoyed every dish and would definitely recommend. The only reason this review is 4 and not 5 star is because of the charges for the poppadums and sauces. These are sometimes complimentary but even if charged for the poppadums I certainly wouldn’t have expected to pay for the sauces to go with it or at least be explained these would be chargeable. Small gripe but worth noting if you visit. Also £8 for a bottle of cobra probably bought from Costco is a little cheeky. On the whole though very good just no poppadums or beer for me next time ! 🤣🤣

Well what can I say...after what seems like an eternity I finally found my way to bayleaf...defo my new fav Indian spot...knew it was a bit pricier than my normal spots so I was a bit hesitant but after tasting the food theres a very good reason why...can't fault anythin...from the service to the drinks to the food...everythin was spot on...Mitra was very attentive...even gave me a dessert on the house as it was my bday...only thing I'd say is I'm surprised with the food they serving they haven't got a bigger place...place would be packed...as it was today...will defo be back soon...

As others have already said, this is a gem of a restaurant that we are fortunate to have in Whetstone! Excellent quality and many items way beyond the usual fare. Upon entering Bayleaf we were greeted with exceptional customer service from the staff. The food was delicious and we were sad that we were too full up to indulge in dessert as it looked scrumptious when we saw others order.

Unforgettable experience, had totally changed a standard of eating out for me. Everything was amazing. From the moment you walk in you are looked after, honestly so amazing. Service is 100%. The restaurant has a convenient pay and display car park to the rear which is very handy. The menu is sublime. Bodrul and his staff were fantastic and attentive. I am very saddened that I will not be able to enjoy Indian food ever in the future. Simply because the Indian Cuisine at this restaurant is the BEST I have ever had in my life. Even the most routine Indian classic are made to the highest caliber. From the tenderness of the chicken, to the balance of the heat, to the simple crunch of the lentils or chickpeas.
