Barrafina in City of London, Westminster

Not Michelin quality .... come one guys at best an up market tapas bar with great food but Michelin ... no way !!! I nearly broke my tooth on the base of your lemon tart ... even the waitress laughed as we tried to break it on the plate .... Either the fat guy with tyres has lowered his standards or we just caught you on a bad night !!!

I hate to put a negative review on as I have fond memories of visiting this restaurant in the past. I must say that the quality of food has totally gone downhill in my opinion. I hope they manage to pull it together and this is post lock down errors. I can’t fault the staff, as always they were amazing.... I am not sure what has happened here but the food is not what it use to be . The food was over complicated, rather than tasty. Even the bread was pretty inedible. Time to get back to basics and make some good honest tapas.

Food was spectacular. Probably some of the best tapas I’ve ever had. It’s definitely not a cheap place to visit so expect to pay atleast £50 per head. They recommended getting 5 plates for two people each being around 11-19 pounds each. Their variety of fish (squid, monkfish) were second to none in flavour. I would definitely recommend the prawn and pepper tortilla omelette.. it was so good we had to get it twice!

An afternoon spent here felt close enough to a quick city break! Majority of our dishes were really tasty, highlights included the croquetas, pan con tlmate and pluma ibérica. Was very expensive though, as expected, and quite let down by the service as felt a bit forgotten about at times. Also watch out for the later lunch sittings, as the kitchen closes and you miss out on being able to order more. Would probably go back again just for a drink and more of those delicious croquetas.

Sat outside on a Saturday night for some delicious tapas. No dish was disappointing, but the stand out without a doubt was the knock out pan con tomate. Chicken thigh also really good. Staff really helpful and knowledgeable. It’s not cheap by any means, but a lovely meal!

Dropped in on spec, shared a bottle of Rose and 6 tapas dishes, every one was absolutely delicious as you can see from the 3 pictures. Staff were friendly & attentive, great setting, can't wait to eat here again.

Service was okay if a bit chaotic, but the food - fried monkfish - was very poor, prepared by someone who's clearly never attended a cooking school. I'm certainly no cook, but even I can do it better.

I like tapas very much, especially when we've spent time in Spain and enjoyed quite a variety. Don't get me wrong, I’ve eaten great tapas in the UK too, but the best tapas I've ever eaten was in Spain, coincidentally I've also had the worst there too. Either way, you end up remembering some knock out dishes and comparing.I do know Barrafina but I've not dined at this one before, and in this post lockdown April period, the dining is outside only and under a long canopy, helpfully kept warm with heat lamps. It protects against rain and does a fair job of keeping you warm, but it can get cold after dark, so it’s best to wrap up.This was a midweek dinner booking with colleagues and we ended up choosing a number of dishes from a reasonably varied, but mostly familiar selection. There was a daily specials menu too.We had: Ham croquetas, Stuffed courgette flower, Prawn and piquillo pepper tortilla, Grilled squid with crab sauce, Chicken thigh with Romesco sauce and Pluma Ibérica 5J on confit potatoes.The food isn't served in the traditional terracotta dishes, this being One Michelin starred cuisine after all; it arrives on a variety of different sized plates. It comes course by course and when it's ready, but the disadvantage of alfresco dining in the UK in April is that the food goes cold quickly, as ours did. Not exactly the restaurants fault but maybe more could be done to keep the plates hot between the kitchen and table. The food was alright really with the highlight being the Ibérica pork chop, served pink and very delicious. At the other end of the scale was the Squid, which was tough as old boots and very chewy. A mixed bag really and I’ve done better in the UK for tapas, though I’ve done considerably better in Spain, regardless of a Michelin star.There were service niggles too, like the bread that never turned up, but which you need to soak up the sauces. There were no serving spoons, so it's difficult to get those sauces out the serving dish and on to your plate. Drinks too were very underwhelming, the bottle of Parés Baltà Brut Cava we ordered was decidedly average, though my trusty wine app suggested a critics score of 87/100. Maybe it wasn't helped by being a £12-14 bottle at retail, marked up to £45 in the restaurant!Overall, we paid £171 which was inclusive of service charge, for food which was alright, and service which was adequate, though I am mindful that we should also remember that this isn't the usual service the restaurant would be providing. Even so, this is, in my humble opinion, yet another demonstration of the fallacy with which the Michelin system awards its stars. This restaurant reminds me of Lima in Fitzrovia, average cuisine at best and certainly not worthy of a star. That particular restaurant lost its star a year after I wrote my review.

Great lunch sat at the bar watching the beautiful chaos unfold. The head chef rememind me of a certain soup maker from seinfeld. Hilarious!Every dish (croquettes, prawns, pan con salsa, etc.) were all top notch and not ridiculous price. Thoroughly will come again. Cool covid rules.

The food was average. The portions were tiny. Overpriced. Service was slow. Ordered the prawn tortilla which was fairly tasty. The crab croquettes were nice but I’ve had better. The scallop wrapped in pancetta was really delicious but you get 1 scallop, ONE, for £12.80... The fried mini squids were tasty but smaller portions than I’d seen on social media. We ordered the chips but they forgot to give them to us and we didn’t raise it as we thought it’s best to get some snacks at home. We felt quite rushed, as soon as we’d finished eating it was cleaned up and there’s people waiting inside at the counter to take your seats so feels a bit rude and pushed out. Spent over £70 and wasn’t full at all... definitely nothing to rave about.

El brillante Barrafina en Soho es uno de nuestros restaurantes favoritos y fue un gran lugar para visitar un sábado por la noche en Londres.Piparras fritas, como los pimientos del padrón pero más finas y picantes, una losa de sabroso rodaballo, la croqueta más bonita que he probado nunca, rellena de delicioso cangrejo, y una tortilla maravillosamente untuosa con gambas y pimientos fueron solo algunas de las delicias que devoramos, lavamos. con un delicioso jerez cada uno y una jarra de vino tinto. Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir asientos en los bancos que miraban hacia la cocina para poder disfrutar del espectáculo de nuestra comida preparada por los chefs increíblemente hábiles. El ambiente y el bullicio de Barrafina es muy divertido y la calidad de la comida y el servicio hizo que fuera una noche inolvidable.

¡He estado aquí varias veces y siempre llevo amigos visitantes aquí! La comida es deliciosa (en particular, siempre intentamos pedir tantas porciones de croquetas y flores de calabacín fritas como sea posible). Sus postres también son siempre una delicia.Los platos principales de carne / pescado pueden ser un poco impredecibles, pero siempre puedes contar con que todo estará súper fresco.

We had en excellent tapas dinner that evening and especially the fish was outstanding. A nice spot in Soho.

El domingo de otoño por la noche no hay reserva, pero aparentemente lo hacen ahora. Conseguimos un buen asiento junto a la ventana y un buen servicio. Manzanilla y estrella Galicia un buen comienzo con una jarra de verdejo. Compartimos fideua con calamares y langostinos rojos que eran excelentes y un buen pan también.

Una experiencia fantástica para alegrar un día aburrido. Servicio amable y eficiente junto con una excelente selección de menú. Si te encanta el pescado, este es un gran lugar para visitar. Recomiendo encarecidamente cualquier plato de pescado. Fresco, sabroso, aromático y presentado con estilo, es tanto un placer para la vista como para el paladar. Nuestro camarero fue amable, educado y tenía una sonrisa encantadora. Lo más importante de todo es que este restaurante ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio. volveré pronto

Nuestra visita aquí fue espontánea, ya que estábamos hambrientos después de hacer mandados por Soho, y el restaurante que estábamos buscando originalmente no estaba a la altura. Pasamos por delante de Barrafina y decidimos entrar después de escuchar cosas buenas en el pasado. Mi papá tenía a Barrafina en una lista de restaurantes a los que realmente quería ir, así que para él, ¡definitivamente valió la pena!Bebimos el vino rosado 'tremendus', que era hermoso, y tuvimos una fabulosa selección de tapas para compartir entre los tres. En particular, las croquetas de sepia, el fideu, los chipirones y la caballa eran preciosos y estaban cocinados a la perfección frente a nosotros.El personal era muy amable y estaba feliz de explicarnos todas las ofertas especiales.El precio era quizás un poco alto, pero la calidad de la comida era incomparable y sin duda volveremos independientemente.

My wife and I enjoyed a visit to Barrafina recently and took advantage of the eat out out to help out scheme.The tapas is lovely, we had chorizo with potatoes and watercress, ham croquettes, prawn tortilla, pan con tomato and buñuelos de bacalao. The pan con tomato was our favourite, simple to do but very very tasty.The raspberry sorbet was delicious with a very large measure of amazing Pedro Ximinez sherry. We had a delicious bottle of Spanish white wine which was fairly priced at £30.The staff are young and friendly and we had a very enjoyable evening.

We were really looking forward to this dinner, being a special date night after lockdown. We booked in advance and sat (well socially distanced from other guests) inside at the bar. Watching the inner cogs of a restaurant’s wheel is always fun and from the kitchen team to the front of house staff, everyone seemed really happy to be open again. The service and staff were great, very friendly, welcoming and informative. The wine list is pretty good and a sherry at the end topped the night off well. The meal however felt quite rushed and even though the tortilla and the chicken in romesco sauce were knockout dishes (and the warm bread and olive oil was a revelation) the other dishes were slightly bland and rather small for the price. We love Spanish food and wine and tapas is a favourite of ours. If you’re looking for a fun restaurant with a stylish buzz and good service, in the middle of Soho, this is great, but (in my humble opinion), I think there are other places in London to discover if you’re looking for some tapas inspiration.

Rude staff. I was excited to try this place and was so disappointed. I won’t bother going back. Much nicer places close by.

ロンドンにしてはかなり美味しめのシーフードが楽しめるレストランです。どちらかというとスペイン系料理が楽しめる場所でした。

We arrived a few minutes before opening time and were asked to stand in a queue outside in the street. Once the restaurant opened, we were then asked how many in the party. As we were not all there, we had to stand in a corner to wait for the one more guest.Once we were all there, we were given bar seats all in a row which makes conversation very challenging.We ordered some food which arrived fairly quickly but with the tiniest portions (e.g. 1 single scallop) so then we had to order some more to make up an adequate lunch.The meal worked out very expensive for a tapas lunch. When I paid the bill with my credit card, they didn't ask me but just processed the transaction in AUD instead of local currency, so then I got a bad deal on the exchange rate with a 4% markup.I won't be making a second visit.

Always queues because its aways on top of its game. Its not a cheap meal and the food is so good you order far to many delicious dishes but every one is a winner for freshness and taste. I real favourite .

We came here on our last day in London and it did not fail to impress. Though with a line, we managed to sit on the bar within an hour and had an excellent culinary experience. Even while waiting, the mini tapas and drinks were innovative and fantastic. Will surely recommend to anyone in search of modern upscale tapas in the London Region.

Recommended by friend, so visited and found it's not that great to be waited for more than 30 minutes to get a table in Saturday. Food is not bad but not good tho. I tried their signature dish which was Octopus "A Feira" - just so so...may be my expectation is too high based on all the review..Their food is good but not the best, there're many restaurants which such kind of food quality with great service & like fine dining table which let you seat comfortable (they are offering bar-table which is not comfortable enough I think)

As wonderful as always! As usual busy and the expected wait (no reservation system) but the staff are PROS at making the wait as friendly, interesting and enjoyable as the meal.We were served small plates, olives and wine while we stood at a side bar, and then shown to seats at the full food bar as soon as they were free. And then we had a string of GORGEOUS tapas plates.Yum. Will he back!

This restaurant was highly recommended by friends so on our recent trip to London we visited. After a visit to the Comedy Store it was almost 10pm when we arrived. The set up is very well organised, you wait against the wall of the restaurant and the brilliant staff are happy to offer you tapas and drinks whilst you wait. The diners have their backs to you as they sit around the serving area on high bar stools. We only had to wait about 15 minutes and were then seated. The tapas was delicious : Serrano ham, squid, ham croquettes, bread and oil, tortilla and prawns, all served over a period of time and washed down by a cold caraf (or 2!) of wine. The queuing could be an issue at peak times, however for us, it was fine. Great service, great food and an interesting concept - we will return.

Me gusta ir a este lugar ya que la comida es excelente. No me gustan los restaurantes muy formales donde pasas el tiempo esperando algo que has estado comiendo cientos de veces. Aquí puede disfrutar de platos especiales y el ambiente es alegre y joven. Me gustan las croquetas portobello y el filete rubia gallega. También me gusta la tortilla y la crema catalana. Pero todos los platos pequeños son deliciosos. Lugar recomendado Excelente.

スペインバルは東京でもよく行きますが、メニューが結構ちがうので驚きました。シーフードは新鮮、肉は焼き加減絶妙、野菜やおつまみ系も素材が抜群で本当に美味しかったです。カジュアルなバルにしてはもちろん結構な出費になりますが、コスパは悪くないです。また行きたい！

We had lunch here yesterday. We both had one of the specials. A type of stew with white beans, chorizo, black pudding and belly pork. All in a tasty sauce. My only criticism is of the pork, which was a solid lump of fat, which I couldn’t eat. We had a 50cl carafe of red wine which was quite pricey. The staff were a delight and very friendly. The restaurant had a real Spanish feel to it. Seating was mainly at the bar counter or high seats in the window. In all a lovely experience. The whole place was spotlessly clean.

Went here after an enjoyable night seeing the play "Touching the Void" with some friends. The food was outstanding and we had items from the menu. The staff were very helpful in ordering and served the dishes with fun and gusto! All in all a very excellent dinner and highly would recommend as a must do if you are looking to enjoy London's culinary offers.

Visited on NYE. Food was excellent. Favourites were chips with brava sauce (favourite dish), portobello croquetas and the Solomillo de Rubia Gallega (steak). Special mention to the tortilla and crema catalana and the pan con tomate. Prawns were good but not as good as the rest of the food eaten.

Eating at Coal Drop Yard we found this restaurant very good and for London the price was OK and staff very friendly

Had to wait for a bit but ordered a bottle of wine to bide the time (not the worst thing all things considered). It was truly worth the wait. The small plates / tapas are superb. And, the octopus was just divine. This gets to be on the top of my list next time I’m in London.

The best meal we had in London. We loved our dinner here. We did have to wait but it was worth it. Everything we ate was so good. We picked this restaurant because I saw great reviews on the octopus and it did not disappoint.

One of several locations in London the Dean street spot in hipster SoHo is fascinating on so many levels. The location provides a window on the comings and goings of tourists and locals exploring the haunts of the neighborhood. The wine and beer selection provides much welcomed sustenance and the tapas are delicious. Prawns, cheeses, and delightful bites of ham. The servers manage the crowd and the hustle and bustle with grace. Definitely worth the often long wait to be seated at the bar counter and enjoy the food, people watching and energy of the kitchen.

You know its good when you have to wait outside to go inside to get in the queue. I would have waited 2 hrs for this meal, it was that good!

No review is necessary of this place. Just absolutely perfect in every way. Maybe a little expensive but worth it - you get what you pay for and this is Central London!

No doubt they serve the best tapas in London. İ don't remember how many times i've been in Barrafina but i would say i had amazing time all my visit. They are so quick and do miracles in such a small kitchen!

Fabulous early evening dinner with delicious food, and a buzzing atmosphere.Totally professional service which was attentive and helpful. Specials board was explained well, with lovely choices.

Dîner à 2 un vendredi soir, le serveur nous annonce au moins une heure d’attente. Il y a une queue à l’intérieur le long du mur et on peut prendre un verre en attendant. Allez, on n’a pas d’autres plans, on attend. Bon choix : on est assis en 20 minutes à l’extérieur sur la petite terrasse chauffée. Un bon spot pour observer les allers et venues de cette rue de Soho.

Ahora Barrafina es un lugar al que debes ir. Te molestará, te frustrará pero te irás con una gran sonrisa en tu rostro.

Late night bite, nicely seated at the bar watching the chefs, all dishes great but the standout dish was the Pulpo, best octopus I have ever had, even in Spain. Friendly but not intrusive service, Estella beer on draught, but expensive even for central london.

Barrafina最親民的米其林壹星，因為菜單全是西班牙菜名，沒有成分說明，看不懂，只有簡單粗暴的所有seafood全點壹遍，任性地十個course吃到嗨 king prawn太棒了！雖說倫敦的米其林餐廳多如牛毛，但能隨到隨吃的還是鳳毛麟角，Barrafina是極少數不接受訂座只能現場排隊的壹星西班牙餐廳。

Yes, you will have to wait for a seat at the bar to become available but, OMG, it's worth the wait! Ingredients can hardly be more fresh and once in the hands of the chefs they become truly magical. Enjoy ;-)

We waited for not more than 20 minutes, so we were quite lucky. And we only tasted couple of tapas for we had to spare ourselves for a dinner later that day. What can be said is that it is an experience both visually, olfaltory and in hearing. Ok, you can get better experience somewhere in Spain for much lower price, but experiencing reall tapas with good spanish spirit in the heart of Soho is wirth its price.

Joined friends for lunch and between the 4 of us we managed to try 14 dishes. Not cheap but nowhere in London is. Liked the concept of sitting at the bar and nibbling away with a good glass of wine.

I regret not coming sooner! The first time I visited was near the end of my stay in London. My friend and I had come early around 5:30pm to grab food before an evening at the theatre. We managed to snag a table at the back and we served almost immediately. My friend is a regular, so she knew exactly what to order.

Had the tuna tartar and beetroot salad which was delicious! This location tends to be heavy on the salt which is a pity. Fun ambiance!

First a trip to the Globe Theatre followed by an early dinner at Barrafina. Both brilliant experiences. Sat at the bar facing the chefs. Efficient service. All chefs knew what their position was. Specials menu explained. All dishes piping hot and well presented. There were three of us so we had a variety of meat, fish and vegetable tapas plates. Try the desserts, chocolate tart, Spanish crime caramel and St James Tart (can’t remember its proper name) All delicious and delicately made. All in all a decent dining experience. Don’t expect to sit in there all night. I doesn’t feel to me like that kind of dining experience. Eat and go. My only slight criticism is that bring 5’ 2” tall the bar stools are very high. That’s my issue in most places were a bit of height is needed. Will go again next time I am in London. Recommended.

Been here a few times and i liked to try it again, and it was excellent and this time the bar wasnt too busy i really enjoyed the tapas.

Udang grill mentega terasa wangi karena fresh udangnya, keripik ubi salmonnya bertekstur sushi dengan saus tomat asamgurita tumis jaitun dengan api besar matangnya pas, kenyal dan smokey tidak ada kataselain enak! Baby cumi goreng gak kalah dengan kuring dijakarta. Hanya ngantrinya minta ampun 1 jam bro!

We go here every few weeks and it’s always brilliant. The service is great, everything is freshly cooked in front of you and it tastes amazing.

You queue for quite a while on a weekend evening - and I can understand the hype as the Tapas is nice and the location is prime. I went with the girls for dinner and it was nice. (I keep saying nice - but I can’t bring myself to use a more enthusiastic word) We agreed we had had better tapas elsewhere. We ordered all of the waiters recommended dishes, the squid for £16 was really only ok if you like your squid to look as it would straight from the sea - and I don’t mind that - but most of our party couldn’t face it (more for me) and you really do not get very much at all like 8 little pieces. The courgette with a creamy ball on the end was nice but enough for one. The bruschetta - fine. The tortilla still runny in the middle - maybe it’s supposed to be? Anyway - all fine and I ate it but I won’t be returning for over priced tapas I’m so sorry to say.

High quality food. Seating on high stools around the open plan kitchen so can watch the chefs doing the cooking. Was there on a Monday night. Had to wait for 45 mins for a table. During our wait we could order our drinks and have them whilst standing up in line. There is some seating outside on the pavement. Price wise this place is on the expensive side for the what the food actually is. But a very good experience as a once in a while trip. For 2 people dining, we paid about GBP90 in total for about 4 dishes and a couple of drinks. Nice evening in a nice busy part of London

Serves great tapas. Though its space is not tiny, expect to wait some before you can be seated. We overall waited an hour or so, though they will let you in to the counter along the wall before that. While waiting, it's possible to order drinks and some food. The seafood is incredibly fresh. Octopus, shrimp, tuna, sole... everything we ordered was delicious and flavored just right. The price is not cheap, but I'd say it's quite worth a visit.

We just finished a meal that I can only qualify as wonderful (epic would work too!) at Barrafina. I know, I know, they don’t take reservations but the wait is definitely worth your whole. The food is exquisite and the service supper friendly. The hustle and bustle of the place makes for a great ambiance. We’re definitely going back!

Hoewel ik normaal niet in spaans restaurant zou gaan eten in Londen na alle recenties toch erop gewaagd. Was gewoonweg een top ervaring. Zonder reserveren direct aan de toog kunnen zitten voor de lunch. Volgende keer in Londen ga ik zeker terug.

This place is fantastic. Staff are friendly and attentive. This place is extremely busy and the kitchen work so quickly under pressure and still manage to send out outstanding dishes. Love the buzz about this place. Never tastes anything like it. Best tapas restaurant I have ever been too.

Having heard only amazing things about Barrafina, my boyfriend and I decided to go for an early dinner at one of your branches.

I have had Barrafina on my list of places to try for some time, as we love tapas and have had many exceptional, authentic tapas over the years, but unfortunately nothing here was notable at all. The morcilla croquettas were tasty but not cooked through, the sauce on the mussels was quite good being sharp with sherry and finished with chives but the mussels themselves were large and flabby and quite flavourless, the gambas looked great with a nice layer of fried garlic and chilli on top but again were strangely tasteless, there was not even a punch of flavour from the chilli, most disappointing was the Ibérico ham which had none of the creamy texture of fat and depth of flavour that would normally be expected. This felt like a restaurant catering to tourists and not an authentic Spanish tapas.

He estado en España un par de veces y me encanta la comida en España y la cultura de bar en general. Pero si está intentando replicar esa experiencia en el centro de Londres (especialmente al norte del río, la parte ultra turística), funcionará solo si está contento de pagar una suma de dinero ordenada. I. e. espera pagar mucho más de lo que esperas pagar en un bar (no turístico) en España.

Came here after seeing rave reviews on Timeout London and wanted to try the Spanish Tapas as part of my recent 30th birthday celebration.

אוכל טעים מאוד, מעניין, אוירה טובה. ישבנו על הבר מול השף. כל מנה עוברת דרכו לפני שמגיעה למזמינים, עוברת טאץ' אחרון. מוקפד עד הפרט האחרון. הגענו עשר דקות לפני הפתיחה, כבר היו אנשים בתור. צעד חכם, כי המסעדה מתמלאת מהר מאוד, וממתינים הרבה בתור. מומלץ צאוד!

Uma excelente opção para saborear em Londres a deliciosa culinária espanhola! Num local descontraído, um cardápio variado, preços acessíveis e comida saborosa! Perfeito!

My partner and I met a friend here for dinner recently. We’d all read the reviews and knew we’d be waiting to eat. We queued standing up against the wall and ate some fantastic starters as we chatted. We had a lot to catch up on so the two hours flew by but I do think it would have felt too long if I’d had just been me and my partner. Once we were seated, the food we all tried was amazing and we were spoilt for choice when it came to choosing our favourite dish. It was a brilliant experience and we’d happily return.

Another great meal at my favourite restaurant. Enjoyed all the classics and some John Dory. Queued for only 5 minutes and sat outside watching the people.

After all the raving reviews, we went there on a Friday night during our UK trip. The wait was shorter than I had expected (around 1 hour). We ordered total 6 tapas but sad to say, none of the dishes impressed me. I can easily find tapas that are equally good, or even better, at many other Spanish restaurant. The most disappointing one is their tortilla - way too much salt in it, at least 3 times more than it should be. In the photo you can see there’s egg liquid flowing out, made me wonder if it’s fully cooked! This is the worst tortilla I’ve tried, which I didn’t expect in such a world-famous restaurant. All in all, not worth the wait.

We were wandering and found this restaurant, went in and were told could be half hour wait, we decided to wait and had a glass of wine and some nibbles while we waited within 10 minutes we were told we had a seat. Food fantastic everthing we had, goat cheese croquettes, prawns, tortilla, chicken thigh with romesco sauce and other dishes all were fantastic.

as a Chinese, I am alway proud of ways we cook seafood. Had tasted three Michelin star restaurant in a row within my 4 day stay in London, the price for barrafina was the lower (less then 40 pounds per head) among the three - but still the food is magnificent. looked thro their specials before you order - the good things are there. Must try the red prawn from mediteranian if they have it on the special - you won't regret! Mind you no reservation - need to line up.

We had to wait approximately 45-60mins but the food was absolutely worth it. The Red Sea mullet and octopus dishes were tender and full of flavour. The pork ears was a dish was crispy and perfectly accompanied with the dipping paste. The blood sausage and quail eggs was a very good looking dish that didn’t disappoint in taste. All in all I would absolutely brave the queue again to try the other dishes in the menu.

I’m a Barrafina superfan and am a regular visitor at all 4 branches. This is my favourite as it retains the boisterous atmosphere of the original Soho spot. On this solo visit I enjoyed a light lunch of langoustine, courgette flower and poached pear - absolutely delicious. It’s wise to get there before doors open, but if you’re on your own, you can often snag a seat without waiting midweek. It is busy and rowdy, so it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it!

we arrived about 6.15 on a busy weekday. We were told about an hour wait and decided to go for it. Great queuing system. Drinks and nibbles available to order whilst you wait. We hardly waited 30 minutes before we were seated. Fantastic food, especially the seafood. Good to see it all being cooked in front of you. Once seated there is no rush and its very relaxed. The staff were helpful and informative about the food . Very easy to spend a lot of money but you do get some lovely food.

Realmente no tengo una opinión hecha sobre el lugar ya que sólo entramos a tomar una cerveza.

Barrafina is on top list of Harden's for Spanish in London, so was really looking forward to trying it out. No value for money, average service and not memorable food at all.

Restaurante español en Londres!! Comida 100% española! Todo estaba riquísimo! Lo mejor el calabacín con queso de cabra, el secreto, el solomillo de vaca rubia gallega,chuletas de cordero, chipirones, croquetas de morcilla,...la verdad que todo de 10. Claro está esta comida en Londres barata no es! Los camareros españoles muy majos, sobre todo el de Punta Umbría!!

tried the other barrafina so decided wanted to try this one as the other one food was very nice. Service poor as the other one, waiter not helpful and not happy at all, but had food poison me and my husband. Tried the fish was fried, expensive and very dry

Let me start by saying that this place is busy. They don’t take reservations and most were waiting over an hour to get seated. Having said that the service was great! The waiters were literally running between customers but they were very attentive and made some great suggestions.
