Return visit after the restaurant re-opened on completion of a refit - job well done!!Interior feels brighter and more spacious - although the space is the same!!Food as good as ever with matching service - excellent experience.Good luck going forwards to all management and staff!!

Great food great atmosphere, great staff and overall a great experience will 100% be coming back. Even with everywhere being booked up in glasgow they managed to find us a table last minute. Thanks guys

Estaba emocionado de volver aquí después de su reciente remodelación y tengo que decir que el restaurante se ve impresionante, ha tenido la remodelación más hermosa y el restaurante se ve hermosoHay un nuevo menú que nos explicó en detalle el personal atento y conocedor y fue difícil elegir ya que todo suena fabulosoOptamos por compartir las gambas y el trío de entrantes arancini, ambos deliciosos y bien presentados.Como plato principal, opté por el lenguado al limón entero que estaba cocinado a la perfección y mi amiga tenía la ternera milanesa que disfrutó muchísimo. . Ambos eran tamaños de porciones muy generososDesafortunadamente, no hay espacio para el postre y estamos ansiosos por volver a probar algunos de los otros platos¡El restaurante Barolo bien hecho, el menú y el personal fueron increíbles!

We had a lovely evening on Friday. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We had lovely prawn cocktails to start and then chateaubriand steaks for two, only thing that let it down was the peppercorn sauce.

Just been to the Barolo for a family get together and I have ti say that the food and service were first class I would definitely reddomend this restaurant or a family dinner or a=even a romantic dinner for two

Visited restaurant with a party of friends for lunch. Market menu had a good choice. Nice to see a restaurant including veg in description. Too many want you to take sides as an extra these days. Food was good. Also hot. Service very good.

We visited this restaurant for date night and we found the setting excellent and a nice atmosphere we had the fillet steak was priced at £29 each which is about average for Glasgow City Center.I found the veg was very average as they served diced carrot and swede and thought the could have used a little more imagination also extra charge for a side serving of peppercorn sauce. The service was good and staff attentive.

Visited for the first time last week to celebrate my birthday. Although we arrived early we were shown immediately to our seats. The customer service was excellent , great atmosphere, the toilets immaculate and most importantly the food and wine was delicious . The location is very handy for the central station . Highly recommend.

Llegué temprano y tomé una copa en el pequeño bar hasta que la mesa estuvo lista, el barman debe ser un poco más entusiasta, y eligió de su pequeña pero excelente lista de ginebras.Habíamos reservado en la oferta de venta de enero a las 5 pm y, aunque la elección era limitada, todavía era suficiente para satisfacernos a los dos.Muy buena lista de vinos con vinos a precios razonables - prueba el MontepulcianoLa chuleta de pollo con linguini era muy bueno al igual que el risotto de pollo y champiñones que tenía mi esposa.El servicio del personal fue excelente.Sin duda volveremos en el futuro

Reservamos la oferta de 12 comidas del 5 de enero, 2 platos por persona, el menú era limitado, sin embargo, todos logramos elegir algo del menú que nos convenía a todos, grupo de 4 adultos, muy buena relación calidad-precio y la comida era excelente. El servicio no se vio comprometido en absoluto debido a la oferta reservada, lo recomendaría encarecidamente.

Great restaurant and atmosphere. Service was outstanding. The food was exceptional. The fillet steak was perfection and 2 fillet meals and a bottle of wine for £60 was great value.

Visited just before Christmas for first time. Although restaurant was busy we enjoyed a really nice meal of quality food without feeling rushed. Staff were very friendly and professional in equal measure. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Not the cheapest in town but well worth it!

I recently visited here with my family. Food was excellent. We booked a 5pm deal. That’s where the deal ends. £12 for a Pink Gin and lemonade. Absolute daylight robbery. £17 for food however it’s safe to say they make the money back on drinks.

Three friends and myself booked 5pm.com for lunch today. I ordered pizza but didn't eat it all. The waiter offered to box up the remains for me to take away...five minutes later he told me that he'd absentmindedly cleared the pizza into the bin. The way he told me, I thought he was joking....but no....my pizza was gone! No real apology! To be honest, I think he did it on purpose because I'd asked him ( very apologetically and politely) to change the starter I'd ordered. No offer of compensation made. The food is expensive for what you get....there are much better Italian restaurants in Glasgow...I won't be back!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Glasgow for the first time. We popped into this restaurant by accident and had an unexpectedly wonderful meal! We had calamari and olives to start, two generous, delicious pasta dishes and drinks, all for £44. Great value!

Dropped in for something to eat so hadn’t booked but they managed to accommodate us! Restaurant is warm, cosy and inviting. We ordered from the pre theatre menu and the food was delivered fast and warm to our table! I had pizza and it was delicious! All round very enjoyable and we will be back!

Was there with two friends for Xmas Lunch, the service was exceptional, very efficient and also served with a wonderful attitude and smile, the food was excellent too. Would not hesitate in going back @gain.

Popped in for a quick lunch with my mum the week before xmas. Despite being busy, the service was excellent, food arrived quickly and tasted great. Waiting staff had the right balance of banter and efficiency.

This restaurant is beautiful inside BUT we were left waiting at the door to be seated, we were about to leave when someone came to take us to a table. My husband ordered us drinks and when my drink arrived it was wrong, I decided just to drink it, we ordered of the lunch menu, our starters came out and the portion could have fed a mouse, we also ordered steaks and there was an additional charge of £5 per steak, we asked for medium rare and when they came out they were very rare, there was too much blood on the plate, they changed our order,but very disappointed they never took the extra charge of the bill, wouldn’t go back, pretentious and not worth the money, there’s soooooo many good restaurants in Glasgow and wish never went in

Was my friends birthday so went out for a meal. This restaurant had a good menu and friendly service. We got a bit drunk and maybe outstayed our welcome. Staff still came and sang happy birthday! Highly recommend.

After a busy day in town, the restaurant accommodated us and found us a table at a very busy period! Staff were outstanding, service was top class :) as for the food, it was so delicious. We had chosen from the Pre-Theatre Menu! The steak was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

Good menu, quick courteous service, pleasant environment, quiet enough to talk but a good lively atmosphere. Will be coming back.

Had a lunchtime table for 8 friends and it was all superb, nice greeting, coats taken, not rushed at all. We sat for 2.5 hours over lunch without being pressured to move on - menu choices good, food well cooked and hot, attentive servers and every meal served to the correct person without the ritual of " who's the lasagna?" All in all an excellent choice for a lunchtime meet up - just one small point teh coffee could have been a little hotter but still worth 5 stars

Recently visited with family for a late lunch. Eating from the Sunday lunch menu which is good value for money. Food quality and portions are good. Service was attentive and pleasant throughout. We will definitely return.

Our first visit here and won’t be the last . Food was lovely and the staff were attendant. I would highly recommend The Barolo.

Must have been there on an off day as meal didn’t measure up to the reviews I read on TA. Starter was 5 prawns in a watery garlicky sauce with some breadcrumbs sprinkled over, had to pinch a slice of my husband’s toast to soak it up. Main course was a seafood pasta, had to send it back as it was bland, replacement dish was served immediately apparently someone else’s order, was lukewarm but more flavour than first attempt. Would not return, a waste of money.

Good value and great food. Service was excellent and will visit again. The restaurant is centrally located close to rail station and main shopping area of. A good place to head to for good value meal.

We dined here with our son, who is a chef. He is, understandably, more critical of poor food and service than most. To say he was impressed would be an understatement and was even tempted to speak to the chef about the recipe for the starter he had chosen. ((He didn't as we were pushed for time). The restaurant catered very well for my wife who is Coeliac and needs a gluten free diet. The staff were all knowledgeable about what she could and could not have. We all had different dishes and all were excellent. The pizza I chose was outstanding and very filling! The draught beer is also very good. This is not your average Italian and stands head and shoulders above the rest. Great food, great service and good value. We will be back.

Had a 5pm voucher for this restaurant 3 courses for £12.95 for one, what a bargain. The food is amazing the service was fantastic and the cocktails to die for. Will definitely be back, with or without a deal. Well worth a visit.

Booked for birthday dinner but quite disappointed. Food was mediocre a third of the mussels in my partners bowl were unopened and the waitress was disinterested when we highlighted this. Actually wondered if they were frozen as opposed to fresh as they were a stringy texture. Main courses were fine. Wouldn’t book again.

This place was a welcome sit down with a little class. After having had numerous quick food lunches it was a real pleasure to sit and enjoy great food without having to wait a long time. Service was fantastic and we had the added bonus of a discount at the Mitchell st parking station. Thoroughly recommended.

Arrived mid Saturday evening with no booking, they gave us a table without any issue even though they were full,, magic spot in the restaurant and what a cracking atmosphere.staff were excellent food and wines were excellent. The tables could have done with being another half foot apart either side. Wine by the bottle was approx £8 over the top.

There were 4 of us in our group. We visited on a busy Friday night, we had previously booked a table via the internet. All starters were tasty, the main courses were of a good size, quality ingredients great value for money. Only one of our group had a dessert, but another ordered a cocktail, both were excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Will visit again.

Came here for dinner early on a Sunday evening as restaurant looked inviting and quite a good deal from Sunday special menu.

We were very lucky to find this restaurant as we were trying to find a suitable place to eat. Also it was a Wednesday and this is steak night. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the deal which was 20 pounds each for the three of us which included a delicious rump steak, a pint of pilsener and a bottle of the house wine. Very good value!

Arrived here on wet Wednesday to discover this is Grill Night! Superb value, lovely steak well cooked complete with bottle decent red for £40 for two. Can anywhere else beat this? Staff friendly and attentive. Great place!

We visited this restaurant with friends who recommended itafter a previous visit.It was a good choice & the decor is really nice. The staff were very friendly & helpful with our selections from a very extensive menu with so many great dishes to choose from. the service is very quick & the food was amazing.We decided on starters & Main courses which were very good quality & portions so ended up skipping desserts for some cocktails instead. A great night indeed with great food & surroundings which makes me want to book again very soon on my next trip to Glasgow.

Barolo Grill has a great atmosphere with roomy. comfortable booths. After checking out four crowded and noisy bar/restaurants, we chose Barolo Grill. We were so pleased, we ate here twice. The service was outstanding. The menu had a great variety and the food was served good and hot. I believe my husband and I tried the soup, duck, and fish. I wish we had another day in Glasgow so that we could have tried the pizza, too!

We ended up in Barolo after trying to get in to the place next door and we were glad. We gad to wait a wee bit for a table but that was ok, it wasn't long. The food was really good Italian food, the pizza I had was lovely. The staff were all attentive and friendly. For a city centre resturant the prices were very reasonable. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

We are very lucky in Glasgow to have some fantastic Italian restaurants. Unfortunately this is not one of them. The balance of flavour in their dishes is really off. Had the sun dried tomato and mushroom pasta. Very sharp and sauce really salty. Also they like to soak dishes in olive oil. There is much better Italian to be had in our dear green place.

Ate here earlier in the year & had three different menus to choose from, which was great; looks like on a Sunday it's just the a la carte. Had the wild mushroom crostini which was delicious, & an equally delicious salad (both from the 'starters' list) which was a work of art, just a picture on a plate! Food & service were both excellent, as they were last time, & I was here with a friend to whom I'd recommended eating here, & I was hoping we'd have the same wide choice as I'd had on my previous visit. Would definitely eat here again, but on a weekday for the reasons stated.

Every time we are in Glasgow we visit Barolo. It never fails to impress us from the minute you walk in the door till the minute you leave. Love this place so much.

The setting of this restaurant is lovely particularly for a special occasion. The food is always outstanding recommend the steak or lasagne. Staff are also very helpful.

В заведении играет приятный джаз. Брали бургер и пасту с морепродуктами. Бургер подали "разобранным" с порцией картошки фри (вполне отличный), жене паста понравилась. Как выше писал, джина однопорционного наливают мало в коктейли, а стоят они почти по 10 фунтов, поэтому после двух остановился. Обслуживание неплохое, но медленное (официанты на своей волне ходят).

Great place for dinner, stumbled upon it while sightseeing downtown Glasgow. Was a great place for us and the kids (ages 12 and 10). Food was great, nice cocktails, and great location tucked away from the nearby bar scene.

Looking for sunday breakfast near the central railway station we were surprised with how few options there were. Barolo's looked more like a restaurant than a breakfast joint, but their sign was out so in we went. Definitely a rather sophisticated breakfast eatery. Brilliant full Scottish and granola and fruit dishes and quite excellent coffee. Just the ticket.

Great looking place staff where fantastic from the minute I got in food was lovely and great value top experience

I hadn’t eaten here for a few years but decided to visit on a rainy Friday evening. The food was beautifully presented and each dish was delicious. I was particularly impressed by the very generous cheeseboard that I chose to finish the meal. Service was very pleasant and attentive throughout. I won’t leave it as long next time.

We went there for early evening meal and it was great , service was 2nd to none been a few times and will keep going every time am in Glasgow .

Visited here last week with two other friends. Been here before and was soo good first time we went back. Location of restaurant is so easy to get to from either central or Queens street station.

Having read the reviews we thought we were in for a treat. The restaurant was busy and the decor is lovely but the food wasn’t good. In fact I’m one case it was terrible. There were 8 of us and apart from the fish&chips; and a burger we were all disappointed but as we were guests no one wanted to complain. Also if the kitchen felt this food was good enough to put out what’s the point of complaining. We just won’t be back.

While visiting Glasgow, my son, husband and I were lucky enough to discover Barolo Grill. We were welcomed when we came in from the rain and seated at a comfortable table. Our server was friendly and the drinks we were served were excellent. I had the chicken dinner which was delicious and my son and husband partook of their pizza. We weren’t rushed and sat relaxing after our meal was over. If you want a great place to eat dinner, Barolo Grill is the place to go to!

Me and my friend can for the Wednesday grill night. The place was pretty empty. The service was ok, waiter was awkward when taking our food order and staff constantly coming to the table to check the wine glasses. The food was good, we had a mixed grill which the steak, chicken breast and gammon were very nice but the peppercorn sauce was like water and greasy. We were both a bit disappointed since it was our last meal together before she moved back to Canada and wasn’t exactly cheap.

Went in for a late 2 course lunch when passing. Risotto was superb and so filling I couldn’t manage a dessert and was only charged a main course price despite the dish not being on the main menu. Steak fab too and will be back for an evening out soon.

Went here for dinner last Saturday. Had the set menu. Starters were soup and calamari nothing special just ok. We then had steak and cod. The steak had a large piece of fat running through it and the cod's skin wasn't crispy and was a very small portion with a tomato and pepper ragu with broccoli that was smothered in butter so that's all you could taste was butter. The service was very good. Don't know if we were just unlucky as I see there are a number of great reviews.

In my experience this is a Glasgow gem. I've recently enjoyed both lunch and dinner meals here and I cannot praise both the food and the staff enough. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere and attentive but not overbearing waiter service. Great value for money and superb food quality. Would highly recommend this restaurant both for special occasions and relaxed lunches.

Real Italian food, served by real Italians! Beautiful interior and a good price-quality ratio. We can recomment you this restaurant. If you eat a starter en the main dish, you don't want a dessert any more.

We went here today for lunch. I had a gluten free pizza. It was gorgeous. Service was excellent and was good value for money. I cannot wait to go back. I would highly recommend.

Stumbled across Barolo grill on Saturday what an amazing find my husband and I came in for lunch I had the duck breast and it truly was amazing infact id go as far as sayin it was the best I’d ever had. My husband had the fillet steak and was very impressed also. This will be my new go to place now when I go to Glasgow. The restaurant was beautiful and cleaned to a very high standard and all the staff we encountered were very friendly

We we’re a group of friends celebrating my friends 70th birthday. Great food, good atmosphere and great service.

Just came upon this lovely restaurant looking for somewhere for dinner. Had a lovely welcome from all the staff. Had prawn Marie rose to start. Plated beautifully and prawns were lovely and huge !! Had a rigotoni pasta dish with chicken, mushroom in a really tasty tomato sauce. In fact it’s the best sauce I’ve ever had ! Finished off with a nice Strawberry Spritz cocktail.

We had dinner here spontaneously and didn't regret it. The Lasagne and the Vitello Milanese were sensational, like in Italy. The friendly service made our visit perfect. Now we are curious whether the espresso will meet our expectations ;-) We are very confident.

Visto este restaurante caminando de regreso al hotel después del almuerzo y se veía bien. No reservé, pero no fue un problema. Ofreció una mesa y algunas bebidas mientras ordenaba. Optamos por la ensalada caprese y los gamberoni como entrantes. Seguido con una costilla y algunos tagliatelle para platos principales. Inusualmente optó por los postres también de tiramisú y un pudín de pistacho.

Ha pasado un tiempo desde nuestra última comida allí, estábamos llenos de expectativas y lamentablemente nos decepcionó. La comida de mi esposa y la mía fueron una decepción total (la ternera milanesa) debió haber estado bajo una lámpara de calor durante algún tiempo, también la cobertura de la ternera (no las migas de pan) era un desastre aceitoso. Los espaguetis eran un trozo seco de pasta cocida, que no regresará pronto, si es que lo hace. . .

Wir waren spontan zum Abendessen dort. Recht moderne Einrichtung, insgesamt grösser als es von aussen den Anschein hat. Wir hatten zum Hauptgericht Burger und Sirlonsteak. Die Qualität des Essens war ausgezeichnet. Die offenen Hausweine sind Ok. Service und Freundlichkeit sehr gut. Preislich eher etwas gehoben, aber vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis gut. Recht zentrale Lage.

This was my my wife and my first visit to The Barolo Grill and it as a lovely experience. The food was really good as was the service and we will definitely be back.

Had a late lunch with Friends. Thought the Staff were slightly sharp, when we first arrived, but soon mellowed. Food was delicious and service fast Well done, we will be returning.

Very disappointed in visit with poor attention to guest from staff, no checking if meal ok, needed drinks and to much chat between staff with bad language over heard. Both starter & main bland matched with poor service not offered sweat menu we left
