I was not happy with the £5 delivery charge but thought if food is good let’s try. order was 20 mins late but could understand a little because our order was quite big but a few items were missing off the order. meal was ok at best but nothing special, due to delivery charge and quality of food I won’t be using again.

Just ordered 2 meals. Didn't get what we ordered couldn't even tell what one of the meals was we even went thru the menu trying to work it out. Ended up in the bin and we ordered from somewhere else instead. Expensive waste of money wont use these again

Waited an hour for this crap to turn up. Wrong order sent and cartons leaking. Think mine was meant to be a chicken curry, inedible. Will not be using again.

Order at 6.30pm for delivery at 8.00pm and was 30 minutes late. When we rang up the chinese basically they told us to not order from just eat but to ring. I've ordered many of times through just eat and usually the service has been good. I will be finding another chinese to use in future

Ordered for the first time tonight, food came on time, but that was the only good thing about it. We spent over £30, according to just eat you get free extras depending on the amount you spend... we spent over the amount to get spare ribs, when delivered there wasnt any ribs so I phoned up and apparently you've to request the free extras. The lady was apologetic and said it was because on just eat you've to request them, but as I said this was the first time we had ordered from there and the 'request your freebies' wasnt written on just eat. We ordered duck for starter, Duck was okay, plenty of it. Chicken and mushroom curry was poor, chicken was very chewy and slimy in texture. Chicken battered balls were mega dry inside. Ended up binning the main meals. Probably wouldn't order from here again.

Found a fingernail in my food, had to drive down to the shop to prove it belonged to them and it was a fingernail as they were adamant it was a peice of crispy onion. Once proved that it was a fingernail that belonged to them they didnt even offer a refund!! KEEP AWAY

Spent £41.20 and didn't even get any prawn crackers!!! Will not order ever again second time this has happened and there will not be a third time.

The worst food I've had the privilege to pay for never shall I order again

this is usually my favourite Chinese. but we ordered on a Thursday night and every meal we ordered tasted like yesterday’s leftovers reheated. so disappointing to say the least. the spring rolls were chewy and not crispy. the salt and pepper chips were reheated and dry. Even the noodles were bad. gutted as it went in the bin. :( usually great food from here too - let’s hope next time we don’t get warmed up leftovers!!!!!

Never on time, been waiting over an hour and half. Rang 35 minutes ago and said on way then rang again 30 minutes later and said he is on way now. Joke. Wouldn’t order again. Service was shocking. Food was soggy and stone cold! Would never order again. Truly wasted £30! Would like a refund as it was disgusting.

I have previously ordered from here before and enjoyed it. We ordered £30 worth of food Saturday night half of the order came 2 hours late and was cold and tasted like it had been made hours ago. We also ordered a munchie box which they forgot and brought back another 20 minutes later which was COLD. Spending all that money on a takeaway I would expect it to be enjoyable, disappointed to say the least.

We ordered our meal at 8.04 and the delivery time stated it would arrive around 8.50. We checked again and it had changed to 9.20. We didn’t mind as it was Saturday night and I know it can sometimes be busy. it got to 9.55 and I called to see where our order was and was told they had just started cooking it, almost 2 hours after receiving the order. 10.40 our order was delivered. We had asked for no sauce on the ribs and it came smothered in the stuff so they didn’t get eaten. The chips were hard and cold, the prawn toast was dry and the spring rolls were cold. Not even an apology from the shop when we called or from the delivery driver. Not happy!

Only ordered from Barnsley House because our usual Chinese takeaway wasn’t taking orders online - After our order being over 1 hour late, it arrived incomplete. By the time the missing items had arrived we had eaten our food. Chicken dry, soggy chips, prawn toast was really thin and hard and the duck spring rolls tasted off. Not nice at all! You would think after paying nearly £50 for food and delivery that it would at least arrive hot and edible. The majority of it had gone in the bin. Used to order from here all the time but after two bad experiences recently we definitely won’t be ordering again!

In short, our food didn't arrive because the restaurant declined our order when they were contacted by Just Eat upon us enquiring as to where our food was (around an hour after the estimated delivery date). So not only were they willing to take £36 off of us with no intention of delivering any form of sub-par food but they hung up on both us and Just Eat when we tried to get it sorted.... So no, in short, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Appalling customer service. Little to no regard for customer satisfaction.

The food is always amazing; In fact my mother who lived in China growing up has said it's the most authentic tasting Chinese take away she ever had in the UK. It is good quality and quantity and it why I order from here. That being said I'm yet to have an order that hasn't been late, the staff are always friendly and try theor hardest to be helpful, but they always seem rushed and stressed. The lateness and the rushed staff always makes me hesitate to order more regularly than I do. But honestly the food is phenomenal so please try, bit just order with plenty of time.

When we received our food we were 2 bottles of pop and a portion of chips short which I had to add to our order to receive delivery. When I rung the shop I was told the 2 bottles of pop and a portion of chips would be delivered and never came. This might only be £6 but when I'm paying nearly £30 I don't expect half an order. The last time I placed an order I also had issues due to the shop declining my order because I wanted to collect whilst passing and they wanted to earn an extra £5 by delivering. The service is diabolical

Food ok but waited over 1.5 hours and when we called all we got is 'I believe the driver's on his way'. Cancelled ordered eventually as it was almost 11pm to have a different lady call back and say it was near and we'd get a discount. When it did arrive it was hot so had not been 'on it's way' earlier as we'd been told. Will not order from here again.

The food is of good quality, however, having ordered from here on numerous occasions I cannot remember when it was delivered on time. It is usually around 15-30mins late. I would be willing to award a higher rating if this issue was addressed. I cannot comment on Restaurant Service and cannot award anything for Delivery Time.

Used to order from here all the time. No more, cant justify paying £5 delivery it is ridiculous especially when order is 30 mins late and no apology or anything. It's a shame because food is usually really nice but I'm not paying £5 delivery for a 5 min drive.

Ordered off jist eat. Was given a time which was reasonable. 30 minutes after the given time still no food. Phoned up to see where it was " drivers just set off " . 20 minutes later still no food . Contacted jist eat customer service who phoned up and were told " it's due to bad weather ". Well this was a load of rubbish as we live 1 mile away and their was a spot of rain. So after 2 hours we got food, that's 1 hour late. The food was good bit the service was terrible. If your busy just say, do t make up excuses about weather and just setting off . Never going to use them again unless I walk in .

Ordered around 6.30. Was here by 7.15 (est. Delivery was for 7.30.) Food is great portion sizes compared to previous Chinese places we've ordered from in the past and would recommend and order from here again. Got both customary options as we spent around £24ish. Great food and no issues.

First and last time i will order from here the spring rolls where soggy in the middle and lile mash the chew mein noodles where very goopy and the meat with it had loads of fat on it. The curry was more like eating a bowl of sugar there was not spice to it at all very sweet only thing eatable was the egg fried rice so never again

Always order from here whenever I get Chinese and never had problems before and the food is always fantastic, although today we weren’t best impressed due to our order being 40 minutes later than stated (which is understandable due to the weather conditions) but when it finally arrived, we hadn’t received the chicken wings we specifically asked for (as we spent £22 on food we should have got either free spring rolls or chicken wings).

I am always happy with this place, however on this occasion I think our order was forgotten about and had to phone up twice. the lady on the phone wasn’t the usual lady and couldn’t get off the phone quick enough. food was over an hour late but was well worth the wait!

Food was 45 mins late..called and was hung up on twice...then told it was just on its way now 45 mins after the app said it had been delivered....after all that the food arrived and needed to be microwaved as it was cold! ..VERY POOR SERVICE VERY RUDE STAFF...

Food was great, the staff were apologetic and helpful in regards to problems with delivery. It was the only chinese takeaway open on boxing day and they were very busy.

Prawn toast tasted funny and wasn’t good at all, spare ribs were absolutely tiny, noodles in the chow mein are a lot thicker than I’m used to. Not personally for me but food portions were massive and delivery driver And time was spot on. Just a shame about the food really. Not worth the £3 delivery charge or the £27 order.

Food was really really good! had the mixed platter was gorgeous you get so much for £7 n propa meaty ribs lovely had curry and rice n got free chicken wings which were lovely 2. Although didn’t have much room 2 eat main course or prawn crackers as was so full from starter but will keep 4 tea 2moro. Amazing food and such good value so much food for £15!!! Delivery was a little slow was waiting over an hour but was worth the wait! Always been nice from here deffo recommend

I have used this take away for a couple of years now and always been happy with the product I received until recently when I ordered the same as always and was left feeling very disappointed with the food which was over cooked and not to the usual standard not sure if a new chef is in post but will try somewhere else next time we order Chinese food as a comparison

Placed my order asked how much it would be. Really expensive when asked why it was so expensive they couldn't give no explanation as to why it was so expensive and the price didn't tally up with what I had ordered delivery was over an hour so cancelled it. Very rude over the phone too. Taste of hong Kong across the road have good deals and is much better price, quality and polite people.

Food from here is normally gorgeous but it didn't taste as nice as it normally does so we were a bit gutted. The chicken was soggy and the chips tasted old and reheated. Won't stop us from ordering again as it is normally beautiful food.. was it a different chef last night?? :(

Ignore the last review because this is by far the best chinease I have tasted was looking for the perfect meal and this is it from the egg fried rice to the tasty salt and pepper chicken they are not tight on portions either wow brilliant meal will be ordering again

I've never left a 1 star review before, would leave 0 if possible it was that bad. it was stone cold, each dish was almost refrigerator cold with sauce that at some point had been heated - probably 6 hour previous, it tasted of absolutely nothing and to be honest tasted old like it had been used before.
