My first time ordering from here and last time , food gave me and my friend food poisoning for past 3 days straight .. very disappointed

Been a regular since moving to the area, the fish is always freshly made whilst you wait. They have recently updated their menu with a wide range of selection to choose from, the owner and staff are always friendly with great customer service.

Barnet Fish Bar is Fantastic. The food is always cooked fresh and so tasty. My favourite Fish and Chip shop. Always receive a friendly welcome and great service.

Very delicious fresh cod and chips. I am a very fussy person when it comes to fish however this was very succulent and not greasy. Friendly polite owner and staff. I definitely recommend and will go back again. Thank you.

Really disappointed, two portions of chips soggy and greasy, pies were cold in the inside and sausages cold and tasteless. Won’t be returning when there is much better fish and chips near by.

A shop in the back waters, so parking is not problem as a rule. This is a Mecca for a brilliant take away. Great Fish and Chips. Great value. The Menu is very competitively priced. The fish is served up at it's best, as it is usually freshly cooked to order, whilst customers wait.

I've lived opposite this chippy for over 25 years, and since the current management took over (quite a few years ago to be fair) the food has been top drawer. Pukka pies, fresh fish fried to perfection in crispy batter and chips made from the best of chipping potatoes. They don't cut corners in this gaff. Really friendly service, always with a smile and a nice chat. I'm just sorry I haven't got around to leaving a review before now. Thanks for all the calories guys. 😁

Just moved to Barnet This afternoon so i came across this Fish and chips by accident but i was pleasantly surprise by the quality Bought some nuggets,1/4 pounder burger with chips and a medium chips It was so tasty Great prices too The lady and the man behind the counter were both very friendly and welcoming too The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday 12:00-22:00 Hours may differ on special occasion/ bank holidays It was my first visit but bot my last

This place is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I want to go to a delicious meal, this is the place that comes immediately to my mind. Great and all kinds of food and a large list of dishes.generous staff members, and great spirit. Not less important, the bill is fair. I praise this place with no hesitation.

The chips here are VERY good: as is the fish! What I also appreciate is the friendliness of the staff. You get a real sense that this is a family run, and a family friendly, place. I also appreciate that sometimes you might have to wait 1-3 minutes for you order; to me this means that the food is fresh and hasn't sat under a hot-lamp for the last 30 minutes. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone I know.

Really friendly, great chips and good fish. Been going for years as they are a family favourite. They have everything else including sausages, pies, pickled gerkins and onions too. The best service and really loved how attentive they are. Coronvirus info: They are very attentive re. 2m distance between everyone and the lady there went out of her way to ask a gentleman standing in the door to let me pass, which I was very thankful for. You can pay by card or cash but it is best if you call them up in advance (the 0208 number listed) to order so you can reduce your waiting time and ease the pressure they are under. Only one customer allowed in store at any one time.

We aren't a family of 'fish of chips' lovers, but this place gives a good portion and the fish is generally nicely cooked.

We heard from a friend that they had fish n chips from here and was good so I thought I would give them a try even though it meant a 6 mile all round trip. We got there and ordered fish, chips, and chicken and mushroom pie, they never had any chicken and mushroom pies and offered a meat and potatoes pie instead we agreed and paid for them and returned home. After opening the bad we discovered that NO PIE AT ALL WAS THERE. I immediately phoned them, then and they agreed they forgot to put the pie in the bag. I asked for the manager but told to phone back in 10 mins I did next time phone back in 5 mins, I did that, and phone back for the third time and again told not there. Not very happy and will never use again.

They are the best in barnet, freshly cooked every time and to perfection. Go on give it a try.

This chip shop is amazing! The food tastes good and the fish is fresh. Quick service also which I was really impressed with and the staff are very friendly which is a bonus. I would defiantly recommend this place.

This is the best fish & chip shop in north London no doubt. Not sure what Russell is talking about, everything is perfectly cooked fresh and tasty as always, with generous portions too. Staff are really friendly in there, great service every time. Worth every penny. Thanks guys👍🏽

Worst chips ever. They had a strange smell from the frying oil that was quite nauseating and the taste was awful.

I dont usually write reviews but i had to about this place. You can tell the fish is really fresh and the chips are lovely too, not greasy at all for a chip shop. Don't forget the really nice staff, I am now a regular.

Check you change in the shop.... Was a little bit merry when making my order and short changed a pound and due to that will not be going in again.
