Gorgeous little gem in the heart of historic Stratford upon Avon. Super friendly staff and delicious coffee and cakes

I was looking for somewhere to have a drink because everything was closing quite early. We sat outside but it turned out that they were also closing even though they were supposed to close later. The drinks were good but nothing special. I was a bit disappointed.

Had regular latte and the service was rapid and the coffee taste was excellent. Far better than a Costa!

Given that toasted sandwiches were £9.50 each was very unimpressed with the food and service. Nice enough coffee but had to wait 25 minutes for the two toasties. The cafe wasn’t particularly busy (would understand if there had been lots of other orders). When they eventually arrived they were also cold. Whole experience left me feeling like I’d wasted my money to be honest

Great place for a coffee & a cake. The coffees are great & hot. The cakes delicious. Staff very pleasant. Small seating area inside, more tables outside. Most definitely worth trying. We shall be returning.

Stumbled upon this cozy little coffee shop this afternoon. The black forest hot chocolate was delicious! The cinnamon roll & brownie were some of the best i’ve had, & trust me i’ve tried many :) Highly recommend🫶🏻

Really lovely place. Beautiful, natural looking decor and the staff were friendly. Only down side was both our cappuccinos were very milky even though we asked for one to be dry. Shame as you could tell the coffee itself tasted very nice, was just masked by the amount of milk.

The lady who served me was incredibly rude and sharp, horrible.

The Vegan Delight was beautiful - a well-put-together and delicious sandwich. The coffee is also very good. Can't recommend highly enough!

Nice coffee, friendly staff, outside only so a bit wet and windy but good, big umbrella on table kept me dry. Can drink in now but confined space. One of the best cafes for good coffee in town.

Sat outside this cosy coffee shop, purely for soaking up the sun, and so tried their coffee. Very average tasting beans, nothing special. Prefer York’s opposite the road.

Ok so all I wanted today morning was a flat white and sit in the sun but from the word go the service felt a tad unfriendly. Flat white was undrinkable, watery literally had to leave it behind. Also a long wait for a cup of coffee.Checked with another customer she had the same problem. Cannot recommend the coffee. Service was a bit confused and very slow. I hoped it would have been a better experience.

Went in here on a Sunday visit. The attitude of the lady who served us was terrible.Was drinking coffee in front of us while taking our order. After a long wait I had the most awful flat white I ever had made by another member of staff. Too bitter and burnt milk.There seemed to be lots of staff but little organisation of who was doing what. Not just me but other customers were being barked at. I think I will come here again but perhaps in a few months time-when things are a bit more organised

Great coffee and very tasty brunch dishes, the perfect place to start off the day if you're spending the day in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Located on the High Street on the corner entrance of Bells Court, Bardia's quite a small and narrow café with only about 4 small tables inside and some more seating outside, but this is made up for by the great coffee and moorish brunch dishes, not too complicated or heavy but just tasty food. The decor is relaxing and cosy and the staff are fabulous and very friendly. The Belgian Apple Cake is a must have, really delcilous!

Great staff, friendly and super helpful. Cute little cafe with plenty of outside space to sit and chill with your drink. Went twice while we were visiting, once for the coffee and once in the morning for food and coffee. Food was beyond what we expected from such a small cafe, not to sound dramatic but probably the best sandwich iv ever eaten (definitely try the Bacon Delight if you visit, pictured below). A must visit for anyone from locals to visitors.

Excellent!! My partner and I called today and had two very good coffees and sandwiches made to order. Nothing too much trouble (we asked for one sandwich without garlic oil and that was no problem). Cheery friendly service. Would recommend!

Good coffee, cake a little dry. Not the ceapest

They used whole milk instead of oat milk and didn't seem overly bothered. Be wary coming here if you are vegan or lactose intolerant.

Cute pavement coffee shop with a few covered seats outside and a few uncovered. Really good flat white.

Well hello you unexpected little find. What a lovely tasting flat white I had here. Sitting on the street watching the world go by. If it is a little cold, no problem all chairs have a blanket to keep you cosy. Friend had a tea and apparently it was perfect. All in all a great experience with a very welcoming host. Cheers

Fantastic friendly and courteous service. We had 3 coffees and one loaded hot chocolate. They were all delicious. Top marks for making my mum's first day out in over 2 years a very memorable one.

Update January 2021: I was able to go here again and the quality of products and services are still 100% in my book! The dessert I bought with my drink is called the salted caramel nut slice and it is absolutely divine. I would definitely recommend it if they have it in stock when you go. I can imagine it selling out quickly! They're still accepting both cash and card, and they have even more partitions and two-meters standing labels outside the shop for customers to abide by. I will definitely return! Summer 2020: When I am next in this area again, I will definitely go to this place! I ordered an iced latte and it was delicious! It was a light blend of espresso used I think, because it had a really pleasant smooth flavor that wasn't too strong or bitter like other shops. During this time, they have the main part of the shop open air but with ivy barriers. There is an area at the front that you can safely place your order which has a plastic partition. They accept cash or card. And the service was very quick! I had a chat with the individual who served me, I think he may have been the owner or manager. And he seemed very kind and we had a nice time getting on making small talk. It was great to be able to speak with someone (a stranger) who was so happy, especially after being cooped up for months on end. So refreshing! 5-stars for value, service, decor, and amazing taste of my drink :)

We walked round Stafford upon Avon looking for the best takeaway coffee and cake and settled on this place. We ordered the cranberry and white chocolate slice and chocolate tiffin. I have a nut allergy so always check when getting food and was assured although they might have traces of nuts from the environment there was none in either ingredients. Got back to the car later and spotted something that didn’t quite look like a chocolate chip turns out the chocolate and cranberry slice had nuts in it. Luckily I spotted it before I ate any otherwise the consequences could of been much worse. This is thoroughly disappointing, if staff are unsure I would rather they took the 2 mins to check than putting my life at risk, could of been a much worse situation than throwing away and wasting a cake.

I love this place! Bardia’s is well and truly a unique stop-off for anybody visiting Stratford, or for residents like myself. The place looks amazing when it’s fully open from excellent displays of cakes and sandwiches to excellent presentation of food and drinks when you get it. It’s a very small little corner premises, normally with a bit of seating inside and out. Currently they offer a walk-up takeaway and contactless payments. I come here most mornings on the weekends for a drink on my own before a walk or with friends. Yesterday we had Earl grey teas! It’s in Bell court which is about 5 minutes walk from the river and the RSC. I’d highly recommend the hot chocolates complete with cream and marshmallows but the latte’s are also lovely . It’s better quality and more competitive than the chains such as Costa or starbucks.

Beautiful coffee and cake and lovely owners! I have visited this coffee shop more than once and my experience each time has been excellent! The shop is beautifully decorated and the cakes and savoury options on display always look mouth-watering! It is only small inside fitting approximately 7-10 people. Sitting outside might be your only option however they have umbrellas above their tables so it will cover you mostly from any rain. Stratford-on-Avon is an affluent area so for me this isn't a problem!

We were so pleased that the very charismatic owner was so inviting and we decided to go ahead and order. Never had such an amazing, flavourful sandwich! Delightful service, very prompt and efficient. Excellent, comfortable ordering and nothing is too much trouble. Will certainly go back to Stratford even if it is only to go to Bardia's. Such a gem in a great location.

Love this tiny coffee house! Always beautifully decorated. Despite the bijoux nature of the space, there are cosy tables inside or seating outside with snug rugs. Coffee is excellent (when the weather allows, try their espresso freddo - rivals anything you'd find in Greece!). Their toasted sandwiches and cakes are also ace. Friendly service. I love it!

I was happy to find this little indy coffee shop and get a decent cup of coffee. The owner was very friendly, the coffee was good and my teenagers enjoyed their hot chocolates. It left a very good impression of our short visit to the city.

Great little modern coffee shop in the centre of town with friendly service. I had an Earl Grey tea and the wife had a Cappuccino. Then both us us opted for the lovely Bischoff cake slice. Not many seats inside, but happy to sit outside.

1st time visiting Bardia's and definitely won't be the last, excellent Flat white made to our demands, (hotter than normal) as a fellow Barista the young man and his Auntie are doing a great job, he is very personable with every customer and the service seemed very quick with a quality coffee being made each time. Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to Stratford to forget about the big chains and try this little gem you won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff, nice position to sit and people watch. Tasty shortbread and cake, average coffee. However don’t have a QR code up for the track and trace which isn’t good with amount of customers it has

Here over the weekend and we decided to try the town’s recommended coffee shops and we sadly were very disappointed. £7 a head is too much for coffee and cake, even if it IS Stratford-upon-Avon. Maybe not again.
