Exellent food and service. The food was very fresh and tasty. Nice and friendly atmosphere. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful time at Bar 61, the food and the service was lovely and I will not hesitate to recommend Bar 61 to friends and family. We will be returning there soon.

I felt like an honoured guest, all three in the party felt that this meal was specially prepared for us. The waiting staff was always attentive, and gave advice on the wine, We opted for the Tapas Menu which was excellent and its delivery timely at all times. For myself it is as if BAR61 was created for me only, it being my little secret so to speak, my fellow diners were equally impressed. Long may it continue.

I think more customers are needed to keep this restaurant going. It’s worth supporting - please do so.

A nice Tapas bar located in Streatham Hill. Bar 61 serves amazing food and the service is second to none. From the minute you walk in, the staff look after you. The selection of food is vast and everything that was ordered tasted of quality and we enjoyed everything.

Food & service was excellent. Staff were friendly and offered great recommendations from the tapas menu. Will definitely be revisiting soon.

My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time recently and were so impressed. AL the tapas we tried was delicious, we were really impressed with portion sizes as well. The staff couldn't' have been any friendlier and we got a free fruit bowl for dessert and two shots as well. We will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice meal out!

Wonderful as ever, brilliant food and kind attention

We walked by Bar 61 today and were attracted by the big open windows and good music. The food was delicious and prompt. The service was excellent. The staff funny and engaging. A relaxed local venue with a good tapas menu, would definitely come back again soon!

Still my favourite place in Streatham. It’s almost like going to a friends house for dinner. You’re never rushed, nothing is every a problem and the food is consistently lovely.

Quaint restaurant. Restaurant a bit dark from the outside but once inside interesting decor Food was brilliant. Celebrating birthday with my friends and we did not need to rush to leave. Really nice will definitely go again.

I have eaten at this restaurant with my parents several times and we have never been disappointed with our visit! The staff are always incredibly welcoming and attentive and the service very efficient. We particularly like the very varied tapas menu and always find ourselves spoilt for choice! The atmosphere is warm and friendly and this is a great place for family gatherings and celebrations. Great value for money too!

The service was great but the food was NOT it… chewy and dry seafood, tasteless mussels, patatas bravas not made correctly, and overcooked croquettes… food was genuinely bad and overpriced.

I have eaten at the restaurant a number of times over the past few years. The waiters are very friendly. Particularly Mel, Met and Tony. Excellent atmosphere and great food. I would definitely recommend!

This is the second time I have been here and I was hoping for a better dining experience especially with such a high review score. The mussels were small and shrivelled with many empty shells. Service was good and nice owners but for the price the food could have been better. Very limited wines by the glass and I did not want to buy a whole bottle because my partner was drinking white and I was drinking red.

Atmospheric friendly restaurant with a lot of banter from the waiters who looked as if they'd worked there for years. Excellent selection of tapas (probably the best anchovies I've ever had) and a nice white rioja left us all feeling happy.

The staff were super friendly and lovely. But the food was awful, I am baffled by the amount of good reviews about this place. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was bought from the frozen section of a supermarket then prepared in their kitchen. Me and my boyfriend were so disappointed that we went elsewhere for wine and cheese after leaving feeling very unsatisfied. There was also a precarious looking fruit plate that was placed on every table once finishing your meal.

Such a brilliant place. We stumbled across Bar61 back in January and as soon as we had the chance we headed straight back there. The guys there are such great characters and perfect hosts. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the food is unbelievably good. What else can I say?!! I can't wait to go back.

Great food and lovely hospitality

Went for food and drinks with my friends at bar 61 last night, it was absolutely delicious - between a big friendly welcome at the door and the gorgeous decor, it was a lovely experience from the get go. We were served by the lovely Tony 'Al Pacino' who was just great. Food was amazing and the red wine was beautiful. We will definitely be back soon!!

What a lovely evening. Our first time visiting Bar61 and we look forward to coming back again soon. Tony took excellent care of us all night, telling us jokes, giving us complimentary shorts and entertaining our small talk. What a gentleman. I honestly cannot recommend the place enough. The cosy decor makes you feel like you are dining abroad, the tapas were amazing (I am a Coeliac and Tony was so knowledgeable and reassuring), the atmosphere was just perfect and the red wine was delicious. We ended up over paying after splitting the bill, as we were confused with the Eat out to Help out discount and Tony rushed over to inform us, we asked him to give us a voucher instead of a refund as we will definitely be back again soon and look forward to it.Was a lovely experience from entering the restaurant with a friendly warm welcome, to leaving with a big thank you. Cannot recommend enough.

We was greeted by the staff who immediately made us feel welcome, service was first class, we choose the tapas menu, portions was bigger than I imagined, we ordered 7 choices from the tapas menu, this would have been enough to feed two people who hadn’t ate for days. We came to this restaurant as it is listed on the 'Eat out to Help out' government scheme and we we're so surprised to find this lovely little authentic Spanish restaurant in the heart of Streatham. The food was delicious, the portion sizes were great and the staff we're very nice and made a fantastic lasting impact! We will be back with out friends and family!

We were welcomed at the restaurant like old friends despite it being our first visit. Our booking had to be changed at the last minute too due to train delays & we were accommodated with good grace. The food was abundant, fresh & very tasty. We look forward to re-visiting with our niece soon, so that we can return here once again for another great meal An added bonus to this lovely meal was being able to make the most of the 50% discount offered at this time...not that we needed much encouragement here!
