Bangkok Street Food at North Star in South Bucks

Great food. Shame some people are allowed to smoke cigarettes (tobacco cigarette) there, with doors closed while we are eating. Would also have been nice if we were told before hand that we'll be eating in the Shisha Lounge

Lovely food and very tasty. However, we did not realise that we would be sitting in the shisha area. Halfway through our meal, other people arrived and started smoking shisha around us. This was very off-putting as we do not smoke. I would have thought that the shisha lounge was separate to the restaurant. This really ruined the meal for us. Also one of the customers lit up a tobacco cigarette and started smoking that. Isn't this against the law? Our waiter walked passed him but just allowed this to continue. Unfortunately, we won't be going back again.

Lovely atmosphere has sections for smoking and non-smoking. They have a bar and serve a variety of drinks including mixed drinks with and without alcohol. The food was delicious. We also enjoyed Shisha which was brought to our table. Staff was friendly, very helpful and suggested great recommendations for shisha. Overall a fantastic birthday experience.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The Lebanese food is unmatched and a fab shisha lounge too. They also serve alcohol. The service is 10/10. Try the hummus beirut, baba ghanoush and chicken/ lamb grill plates.

We had the perfect Christmas Day lunch. Food was freshly prepared and delicious and served quickly. It was everything we expected it to be and more. Would definitely book again for Christmas!! Well done Dowl, Holly, Ghano and team. 👌🏻🎄

Was extremely skeptical about the place at first but loved their unique menu plus great service.

This was an old and famous pub which is now renovated to a very stylish and modern style bar, restaurant and Sheesha lounge. Surprisingly a very spacious and beautiful place with ample sitting are, outdoor heated pergolas, tables and open Sheesha lounge. Lebanese style food is the highlight and overall options and quality of the food is second to none.. Kebabs are freshly made and have very authentic yet unique taste! Service was little slow but I will still give it to the fact that they have to fetch the drinks from outside bar and food was made fresh and served! All in all, a very cosy and modern place for hangout and parties..

Our new local. Very friendly pub, well positioned and great beer garden space. Interesting menu - just be aware, no kitchen on Mondays. The beer is still flowing though.

Lovely pub! This was my second visit and will definitely be coming back. covid guidelines are being respected, food is amazing, nice atmosphere, staff very polite and friendly. Back garden has slide, trampoline and swing, which is perfect for the children. During summer, there's bouncy castle too. Already looking forward for my next visit. :)

Great service during Friday lunch. Was pretty empty while we were there. Food come in a timely manner and was tasty and good quality. Service was excellent! Improvement: I wouldn't say things were dirty but just maybe a clean and wipe of the menu, chairs and table would have made it all perfeft

I luv the place and the staff are great and when Amir knows you he might get you a drink (I have been going there over 9 years) He's very welcoming.

We were here for a wake, and the landlord was brilliant. He was helpful - sorting food for people with allergies we didn't know about, no rushing us out, offering to take down Christmas decorations etc. Food was great, lots of parking - a perfect venue for a sad day.

Great pub... hidden gem. Great bar staff fantastic management. Even the locals have a friendly approach. Beautiful food. I mean really really nice with large portions. good atmosphere and lighting. .. . lots of facilities pools table sweet machines garden with bouncy castle, a swing set a trampoline and more. Can go and see the fenced off chickens. Smoking area with heated lights and big cozy sofas. If you ever pass here pop in, you wont regret it

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service with a good range of drinks and great spaces for entertainment (we had a barbecue, private room and disco for a birthday celebration). The pool table tops it off. Lovely place.

Firstly I would like to comment on the customer service. It was amazing. We felt welcome from the time we walked into the restaurant. We were made to feel at home. The food was tasty as well as the desserts. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I tried to come here a year ago and failed as it was deserted and the door locked. We were the only people eating here when we arrived. Onto the food, mixed starter for 2, Penang curry, egg fried rice and vegetable pad thai. The starter very poor and not as other reviews suggested, the food seemed to be reheated, the rice tasted like broken rice (poor quality) reheated in a microwave as the dish was too hot to touch, chicken curry was not fresh chicken, just dried up meat covered in sauce. Veg pad thai poor quality and greasy.

We walked to this pub from local accommodation and decided to book a table. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food (not really 'street food' in my opinion) was surprisingly good: full of Thai flavours, not just chilli heat.One could easily overlook the quality of this restaurant, thinking it's just a pub trying something different - it isn't. Give it a try and I think you'll be mightily impressed as we were.

A man goes into a restaurant, and he sits down, he's having a bowl of soup and he says to the waiter, waiter come taste the soup. Waiter says: Is something wrong with the soup? He says: Taste the soup. He says: Is there something wrong with the soup? Is the soup too hot? He says: Will you taste the soup? What's wrong, is the soup too cold? Will you just taste the soup?! Allright, I'll taste the soup - where's the spoon? The food was wonderful. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was a good portion, and very tasty. I also had the crispy salt and pepper chicken, and the two textures complimented each other perfectly. When I opened the bag though, there was no fork and no spoon. I was staying in a hotel, but if I weren’t, my eating experience would’ve been way different.Invest the 3¢ that it costs for a spork. It’s not worth getting a bad review from someone less understanding than I, but within their right, because they didn’t want to eat your delicious food with their fingers. I will definitely eat here again...

Run by friendly staff with a terrific Thai menu. Had a lovely lunch there and not too pricey. Will definitely go back.

Attended a private party at the North Star on Saturday night and the food was excellent, the atmosphere was cosy, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going back.

We had our Christmas gathering at the North Star. The buffet was amazing and catered for everyone! Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, gluten free! Was lively food. Drinks are reasonably priced and the pub itself is so nice and rustic. Thanks to the management and staff!

I went to the North Star on Tuesday 6th November. Was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while and Iver is mid-way for us both. We both like Thai so goggled a good Thai in Iver and the North Star came up on the trip advisor.I had one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The food is absolutely fantastic, prices great and service impeccable. Now that we've found it we'll definitely be going back and will be recommending to all my friends who live nearby.

This place is a little hidden gem, the food tasted very authentic having just came back from Thailand. The Tom Yum soup was awesome & a fantastic green curry too.Great pint of beer & very reasonable prices.Good service, the only thing that surprised me is this place wasn't packed.Keep up the good work

Discovered this place a little tucked in the corner out of the way of any main route. The atmosphere was loverly and the food tasty. It looks like it would be a great family spot during weekends & summer days.

Passed by yesterday. (Good Friday) 7 pm was no cook already. So just a drink. Did not expected in these places the Central London prices (pint of ale almost 5 pounds). Everything else was OK.

If you are looking for great Thai food - this is the place to be at. Set within a pub - it serves great tasting Thai food. Been here 4 times now with the whole family, kids included. Great ambiance and lovely people! Generous portions and fairly priced. The owner is very hospitable and the service is fab. They have a huge out doors too with a trampoline and swings for kids to enjoy! This is our marked place to go for a family get together. Try it if in the area.

What a brilliant meal at this restaurant in the North Star Pub at Iver. Only a few miles from Heathrow. Excellent quality and value for money. They even do a roast dinner on Sundays with all fresh produce. Best in the area at £8.95.

I went to the North Star today for lunch and the Thai food was amazing! Having visited Thailand many times, I struggle to find authentic food around here but this was one of the best Thai I’ve had in a long time. Service is always friendly - I would definitely recommend this pub/the food.

My partner, myself and my two young children frequently go to the North Star as it is a very friendly and welcoming place ! We eat there regularly as we all love the food - the Thai food is amazing and our children love it too ! We also go to the North Star for a Sunday roast when possible which i have to say has always been delicious and very reasonably priced ! Highly recommended !!!

Was a little confused as the restaurant/pub had signs up saying private party. A quick question allayed my fears that it was closed tonight.

I have eaten at this restaurant and have had some consistently good takeaways. The Thai food is a real treat, flavourful, authentic and spicy (upon request). The prices are very reasonable for food that packs such a punch. The Thai chef is a charming lady who takes great pride in her food and rightfully so!

Well we have the set Christmas menu rather than Thai food. However it really was delicious and well worth going to. Considering the numbers of people in the party I was expecting mass catering type food but in no way was it like that. Vegetables cooked to perfection, Turkey was really nice and the prawns in the prawn cocktail were both tasty and massive.

A friend recommended this place for eating Thai food. Been there several times since then. Everything tasted great and was a real threat. Super friendly service and cosy pub atmosphere.

Had my daughters christening at the pub put down £150 for food and for them to decorate not 1 piece of decoration was put up! Was not even £30 worth of food! When I compLined all they could say was sorry? No offer of a refund or anything so disappointed as this day won't come again!

Dropped in the first time, couldn't get a seat, tried again..am I glad. Food was really delicious. We will be back
