We’ve been a few times with friends. The food is very authentic and tastes delicious. The hostess is so funny, it’s worth just going in to see her! Great food and service, what more can you ask for?

Too many Thai restos have gone trendy these days which leave you thinking you could have eaten anywhere as there’s no atmosphere. This place is very much how Thai restaurants used to be. It has character, staff in National dress, some solid menu offerings and all at a decent price. Very pleased and will deffo return.

Had a lovely meal here and can not fault the food or the service. Very friendly staff & the food was extremely tasty & very reasonably priced. As a local resident I really think this place is underrated

I booked for a family meal for Boxing day. My father drove over 100 miles and it was my brothers birthday, who also travelled for another county. I made the booking online over a month before. I called up a week before and checked the booking was OK and they were definitely open for boxing day. They read out my details to me over the phone and said yes. I said are you sure, definitely open boxing day. And it was yes all the way. Turned up to them closed. We knocked and called and eventually a woman opened up. I explained all of the above and she said said sorry with everything I said and said yeah yeah yeah and not a lot else. I'm absolutely disgusted that I've been lied to. They clearly had all my details and couldn't be bothered to call me and say they weren't open. I am livid. My poor Dad and brother were so disappointed. We looked like absolute idiots walking round trying to find somewhere else to eat. The women didn't offer anything. She didn't really seem bothered either. Myself and family have been going to this restaurant over the years and we definitely won't be going back. No loyalty and clearly have no idea what they're doing and they frankly don't give a toss.

Had a veggie meal for tea. Was one of the best Thai meals I've ever had. Really great, would def recommend.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, I didn’t know what to expect but it was very good. Friendly service, traditional deco and reasonable prices. Thai wine was also quite decent.

Extremely dissapointed having heard so many good things about this restaurant pre covid. Had been really looking forward to dining there but the food quality was poor and a let down. Beef extremely dry and bland sauces. I'd not return.

This restaurant has long been a favourite of ours and our go to place when we have visitors or we have had occasion to celebrate, it has never let us down in the past however tonight was an utter disappointment.We arrived on time for a prebooked table but after being seated for over 10 minutes and being ignored had to ask for a menu. After placing our order we waited over an hour and still no starters let alone mains. I appreciate that fresh food takes time to cook but during this time we watched other people who had arrived after us being served promptly. In the end we gave up and paid for the wine, that had actually been served only to be met with what at best can be described as indifference from 2 of the waitresses. It would be nice to be able to comment on the food but we didn’t get any!

We had an excellent meal on a Saturday night. Fantastic choice of dishes, I was looking for vegetarian options and there was plenty to choose from. Very good value for money, service was great, nothing fussy or pretentious. We were on a weekend trip but would definitely return if we're ever close by again.

I thought I would try this again the food was sub standard ! There are far better Thai Restaurants in the surrounding areas Give them a try rather than wasting your money here

This was a takeaway order. The food was nice and came as expected, but one main dish was missing from our order and when I called I was told ‘it was too late for a taxi to deliver’ the missing dish (it was 8:50pm). This is not really ok. Offered a refund but very disappointed with the service. No real apology.

A huge thank you to Jack, Big, A and the team at Bankok Pavillion for such a fantastic meal. I went here for dinner with my fiancee for a child free meal and what an amazing time we had. Service was fantastic headed by Jack and his team of wonderful waitresses and what superb food by Big in the kitchen. Thank you all so much for looking after us!

Whilst on holiday we made a reservation to eat here one evening, we were not disappointed. Yes, the outside is full of scaffolding but once inside we had great food and service, highly recommend but must book during busy times

Fantastic food, brilliant service the staff is very attentive and overall a great experience highly recommend. Jack the server is very friendly and very engaging with the customers.

Went initially because nowhere else was open and a few friends had turned up unexpectedly. The food was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful. So we went back again. Food was excellent. Good prices and tastly food. Very happy to recommend. Try it!

Visited the restaurant with my friend. Had a great time here, the atmosphere was buzzing staff was attentive and very friendly. Always smiling and made us felt like we were part of the family. We ordered a set menu B and it was simply delicious. Very authentic and I would recommend everybody to come and visit this amazing Thai restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely service, mixed starter platter was good with enough different options. Liked the complementary thai crackers. Rice portions were huge so if you're not a huge eater, you could probably share one portion! 3 chillis on the menu are manageable as we were a bit worried about it!Menu had all the usual suspects, would say this is a sound place for slightly higher than average meal but nothing amazing.

Beautiful authentic thai food. So surprised it wasn't fully booked on a bank holiday Monday. Alot of flair has gone into this. Lovely lovely

Visited for the first time on a Saturday evening. Food was very good however a couple on the table said the food wasn’t spicy enough which I didn’t mind as I don’t like spicy. Service was so friendly and we will definitely return. The set meals offer a good choice.

For me Bangkok Pavillion is the Number one Thai Restaurant in the UK whether dining in or takeaway. The staff are very friendly and the cuisine is exquisite! Whenever in Deal this is the spot to hit!

Oh my gosh, the food was amazing as always... my friend had an amazing time, staff was on point and so friendly n professional. The food was piping hot and flavoursome and I would highly recommend you give it a try... Top notch restaurant with top notch food and the staff well that's a bonus... 5* from me.

Service was patchy as they seemed to be understaffed and there were takeaway orders that had to be deadly with, so we had a lengthy wait before we could order something to drink whilst looking at the menu. The lady serving us did apologise for the delay and all was forgiven when the food arrived. Excellent!

Good Thai food with all the menu classics present. Very popular locally I'm told so booking a good idea.

I booked this by mistake but we were so glad i did. We were greeted last week with staff in masks & sanitizer at the door. We were shown to our table & glad to see tables were distanced apart. There was a lovely choice on the menu. The food came & it was excellent & lots of it. Best meal of our holiday. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food came quickly even though they were busy. Could not fault anything. Will certainly go here again when we return to Deal in the future. We felt safe in this environment re Covid. Booking is advisable.

Had takeaway from this restaurant last night whilst visiting Deal. Everything we ordered was really delicious and would definitely recommend a visit.

I had not visited Deal in about 20 years and came back to it to try. Excellent selection, service, tasty meal. I had the Thai Green Curry and it was like I remember it. Hi Reco if you are in Deal.

My partner and I visited yesterday evening and had a lovely meal. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the food was very reasonably price . Unfortunately the green curry was a bit bland & tasteless but other than that tho everything else was lovely.

Had a one night stay in Deal and wasn’t disappointed with our choice of restaurant. The staff are extremely polite and attentive. The decor and ambience was great. In spite of how busy they were we didn’t have to wait long for our starters and main course. I would say it’s the best Thai food I’ve ever had and if we ever return to Deal won’t hesitate to return.

My favourite place to go in Deal. The food is delicious and the service is always good (and funny). I highly recommend.

Excellent food; all dishes generous, well presented and very tasty - best Thai food we had. Venue is comfortable and appropriate ‘covid measures’ in place. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food and drinks. Only slight negative is that toilets could do with a bit of a modernisation. Can’t understand previous comments about being too hot; there are a number of air con units and even after a hot day when we went it was comfortable.Highly recommended.

Saw that the restaurant was doing eat out to help out scheme, went in with four friends, restaurant very busy and atmospheric. Ordered mixed starters for five and it was fantastic, a selection of main courses which includes a fish dish with chilli sauce, wide varieties of tasty curries and a pad thai soon followed. The meal tasted fresh and authentic, washed it down with a cold glass of Chang beer and then a dessert of banana fritters ended our heavenly night. The service was fantastic and we will be back again.

I’ve always been a regular customer of this restaurant, surprised to be open during lockdown but there we go. Ordered my usual which consists of steamed dumplings, a main course of my choice (usually the stir fry chicken with basil) and rice. Really tasty and authentic food and it sure as hell brings me some sort of joy during these times of uncertainty.

Really tasty authentic Thai food. A real treat for a Friday night. Highly recommended. Good value for money.

Lovely place. Food was brilliant. Service efficient if over attentive, but that's not a bad thing. Good choice of fish options which was a delicious surprise.

It all started so well... a Rainy Saturday night and we ordered a takeaway from the Bangkok Pavillon, who were very helpful when selected Gluten free options.On going to pick the food up, it was obviously a busy night, and although the food was ready I had to wait 10-15 mins for some reason- maybe the CC machine needed charging... no worries the family were looking forward to their Thai feast.Back at home, the Starters of Satay Chicken and Wrapped Prawns went down very well. Then the mains... Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken w/cashew nuts, Beef stir fry, Pad Thai and Rice....Now then, Deal deserves better... just awful... food we had resembled a very poor Chinese meal... this was a travesty. After a promising set of starters, a somewhat tasteless (apart from Sweet & Sour which was just just an orange sirup) set of dishes and a burnt Pad Thai, gets this TWO star review... and that just because the staff were friendly.

Had an excellent meal. Mixed starters to start which were very good and a nice mixture of tastes. I had the sweet and sour fish, my partner the duck. House wines were excellent as ever.

Visited in a family group of 9 just before Christmas. The place was otherwise empty (it was quite early for dinner around 6:30). The gentleman serving (I presume the owner) persuaded us to go with the set menu. This was not a great choice as the dishes were bland and not of great quality. With hindsight we should have insisted on the a la carte, as there are some interesting items listed. Normally a big fan of Thai food, but not the usual care taken to flavour and content imo.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for several years now and the excellent standard of both cuisine and service doesn’t falter!!!

Visited for dinner in August. It was a bit empty and lacked atmosphere. The service was an acquired taste but I found it a bit strange. The food was decent but not brilliant and just about worth the money. No beer on tap and I don't rat paying good money for a can. All in all not bad but I won't be rushing back.

Staff all friendly but food a bit disappointing, after reading all the good reviews we were expecting a better quality of food. Restaurant looks pretty dated with plastic flowers in pots and an artificial tree in the restaurant.

Friday night in Deal on a Summers evening. We don't have Thai food very often and makes a change from Indian and Chinese. Good menu with plenty of choice.

Gezellig ingericht Thais restaurant met vriendelijke bediening en goed eten. Heerlijke curries en noedelgerechten. De toetjes zijn grotendeels kant-en-klaar uit de vriezer, die zou ik overslaan. Het zat helemaal vol op de woensdagavond. Er waren maar twee mensen in de bediening dus die kregen het maar moeilijk bolgewerkt.

Went with friends on a busy Saturday night. All tables were taken but as usual service and quality was impeccable. Delicious food and very good house red and white wine. Here's to our next visit!

On our way back we stopped by this Thai restaurant. Nice decoration. Friendly staff and good food. We asked for authentic cooking style and they were very nice. Desert a little too sweet.

Friday evening, we both had the set meal with the mixed platter for starter, the food arrived quickly, service was good and food plentiful and tasty. We booked for 7:30 pm and by 8:30:the place full and becoming rather hot inside. Might be an idea to either switch the air con on or get some fans.

I was over in town and decided to come to the place where I feel happy the most for lunch. Ordered off a lunch menu which is a bargain for a two course meal. I ordered a Stir fried beef with chilli and basil with a fried egg on top, and it literally transports me back to my birthplace. The food was mouthwatering and overall the service was magnificent from Jack (waiter). This is a very popular restaurant in Deal and you should come and visit for lunch.

We have visited the Bangkok Pavillion several times before. The food was very good every time. Unfortunately this time either the air conditioning wasn't working, or wasn't turned on. We were pouring with sweat, and frankly it ruined the whole evening.

The food was nice. Garlic prawns not desperately garlicky but ok.

We had a really good meal here this evening. There aren't many places in Deal doing food on Sunday evening so we were lucky finding this place. There's a very pleasant quiet atmosphere and staff are welcoming. I imagine that it's a family business. There's an extensive menu and everything we had was delicious.

Popped in here on the off chance that they would have a table for 2 and straight away we knew it was a great choice.

My first visit won't be my last. I was lucky enough to be able to have the (off-menu) som tum for lunch and it was exactly what I needed. Can't wait to return for another authentic Thai meal. If you're an old hand at Thai food and feel the need for something that might not be on the menu, phone ahead a day or two before visiting and let them know what you'd like. With a little heads-up they can probably do it for you. Was great to meet Jack, too. RECOMMENDED!

We go to this restaurant often and it is always top rate. The food is well presented and delicious. The White Wine is also excellent, in fact it is the best white wine,( Chenin/ columbard), I have ever tasted anywhere.

The Bangkok Pavilion is a good Thai restaurant with ethnic decor. It looks exactly like many restaurants in Thailand.

The food was beyond amazing. Once I started eating, I didn’t talk. I wanted more but realised I wouldn’t be able to fit through the door if I’d had anymore! Highly recommended.

Visited for the first time with family. Service friendly and attentive enhanced the atmosphere in the restaurant. Delightful Thai decor. Menu was extensive. The three if us started with the Mixed Starter for 2, it was plenty for the three of us. Main courses were equally delicious, Thai Green Curry, Sizzling Beef with Green Peppercorns and Chicken dish. Priced very reasonably. All in all a super dining experience and I think this gem of a find will become a regular on our list. Thank you Bangkok Pavillion A+

This Thai restaurant far exceeded expectations. The food was wonderful and the waitresses were so friendly. I was reccomended the prawns in curry sauce which didn't disappoint and the pad thai noodles were superb

I've recently returned from Thailand and found myself craving Thai food. We ordered chicken satay and a Bangkok mixed delight for our starters. Both of these were very good and the dipping sauces that came with them were incredibly similar to the ones we were served whilst in Thailand.

friendly welcome and reasonably priced in a good central location on the High Street. neither the best Thai meal I've ever had (that accolade still held by the Thai Grocer in Earlsfield) nor the worst, but perfectly serviceable. The Tom Yum Hed (hot mushroom soup) lacked a bit of kick but tasted ok. the chilli fish main was also good.

Lovely food, spoiled only by the World’s Worst Waiter ! On the three occasions we have encountered this waiter he has always been rude and on the latest visit slammed our drinks down hard on the table because we hadn’t ordered the main course at the same time as the starter. The food was lovely - but he is obnoxious, beware !

This was a real gem at the far end of the High Street. If you like Thai food you will enjoy this restaurant. They have made the decor look very interesting and Authentic.The food was simply delicious. Try the fish is was particularly tasty

We stayed in Deal for the weekend and decided to eat here on the Saturday night. We were lucky to get in so would recommend booking.

This is the second time i have been to this restaurant and all i can say really is it's lovely. Lovely staff, lovely food would definitely recommend it if you are in the Deal area and like Thai food then well worth Visiting

This restaurant serves wonderful food and the staff are so lovely. The menu is varied and the food matches the descriptions. The portions are generous and well presented. I would definitely eat her again.

The interior of the restaurant is pleasant and welcoming and had a nice ambience. Fishcakes and dumplings were very nice. I have no experience of authentic Thai food but visually I was disappointed in my main. When I ordered noodles I was expecting something that resembled the medium egg noodles in a chow mein. It was a pretty soggy dish with very firm vegetables. The broccoli was raw and so I had difficulty in cutting it with a fork and a spoon. The meat was nice and the flavour good but I wouldn't order this again.

Small door opens to quite a big restaurant. Thai food so often bad in the UK but this was great. Seems a family concern and the service and food showed they cared. Everything presented well in typical Thai manner with tasty Thai favourites and a few different dishes (as well as the usual couple of faux Chinese for those scared diners)

Visited here with a few friends recently, overall it was a good experience, food was tasty and staff were very pleasant, prices reasonable but the only thing I will say is if you like big portions then don’t get to excited, they are small, even for someone who doesn’t eat a lot, maybe up the portion size?......

Had a lovely evening here with a friend this week just gone! We ordered the mixed starter a few mains to share and some cocktails- all was so tasty and fresh and came so quickly! The service was great- all staff were attentive and friendly without being overwhelming! Would recommend to anyone and can’t wait to go again!

Finally got round to visiting this Thai. What a great little place, interesting interior to create the atmosphere of Thailand. The staff were friendly and efficient. Great choice of dishes and the flavours do not disappoint. We had mixed started which was great. You can ask the spice level to be altered to suit your palate. I would recommend this place to eat if you want a great Thai in Deal.

You can tell by how popular this place is that everything is going to be OK and OK it certainly was. We were well looked after by freindly, efficient staff and the food was simply excellent

Pad Thai was very nice and so too the squid. The food is generally quite good however the tables and the menus always seem sticky and feels unclean. Disappointing as they only seem to cook stir fry and curry dishes rather than include other common Thai bbq type options like moo yang or weeping tiger, or even large tempura prawns.

Came here on my own during a business trip. Authentic family owned place, who were more than happy to adapt dishes to shout my taste.... i.e. fire it up!
