Bangkok Brasserie in Mid Sussex

Every dish we ordered was delicious. The duck tamarind was tender and the extremely tasty. Service was friendly and genuine. Really recommend this restaurant for authentic Thai food, cooked and served by people who care.

I am total dumbfounded after reading the review posted on the 28th October 2023. I have just had the best Tom kha Gai outside of Thailand at the Bangkok Brassiere!! The flavours were so authentic with a beautiful balance of sweet, sour & creamy consistency with the flavours of lemon grass & galangal coming through. Every meal I have had at this restaurant has always been top notch & looking at all the other reviews the majority of others feel the same. It’s such a shame that someone can write a terrible review without even contacting the restaurant to see if they can resolve the situation. Believe me if the food was as bad as stated I can honestly say it must have been a one off. All that is needed to be said is, keep up the good work Mi Mi & Jeaw serving the people of Mid Sussex the best Thai food 🙏🏻

Very very disappointing. Maybe it was a bad night. I can say with certainty that the person or persons who prepared our food had almost no knowledge of Thai cooking. Last night (27/10) we picked up a family sized takeout based on many good reviews. We ordered Panang curry, fish cakes Tom Kah Kai soup, crispy squid, a crispy sea bass Pad Cha, sizzling beef and satay skewers. Most dishes were nothing like their Thai equivalents. The curry was OK, and the (rather small) fish cakes were OK, though the sauce was too sweet. The satay was dry. I love squid but clearly someone had no idea how to cook it. The batter was greasy, the squid overcooked until it had become shrivelled and tough. We also ordered tempura vegetables. I don't know why we ordered Tempura from a Thai restaurant but tempura is not hard to make for any half-competent cook. We got grey mushy overcooked vegetables in a thick semi-burnt batter. The Tom Kah Kai was far too sweet. I wanted the subtle balance of the flavours of galangal, ginger, kaffir lime leaves, chilli, lemongrass, lime juice, and fish sauce with palm sugar that is the hallmark of this soup. I got sweet coconut milk and onions. The ingredients are fundamental staples of so many Thai dishes and easily sourced in the UK. There is no excuse. They did not know how to make this basic Thai soup. The only blessing was the very small serving sizes. Thai food in Britain seems to cater too much for the British palate, with many just not good at all. SE Asian dishes are generally very different to the Asian dishes (Indian and Pakistani) that Brits are more attuned to. English exposure to SE Asian food is where Australia was in the early 1970s. My wife and I grew up in Sydney, a city with generations of SE Asians. Thais, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Malaysians, Singaporeans, Cambodians, Indonesians, Koreans, originally came to Australia from neighbouring countries. There are so many SE Asians that only those who cook very well can make a living out of cooking. We've spent a lot of time in Thailand too, including and at one of the very best Thai cooking schools in Bangkok. My wife grew up in Malaysia, neighbouring Thailand. She can cook Thai dishes very well but we like to eat out too sometimes. In Sussex we've had to lower our expectations, but we're not prepared to go as low as Bangkok Brasserie. Sadly the majority of Thai restaurants in Sussex are just not very good. Or they're OK one night then the Thai chef has a sicky and her husband fancies he can cook it. Lemongrass in Burgess Hill is the most authentic Thai food we've found in Sussex so far, though we continue to try new places. Even they have the odd badd night. There was also a good Thai restaurant we used to go to in Lewes. Bangkok Brasserie in Burgess Hill is cheap, but we're happy to pay a little more for decent food.

Another great meal at Bangkok Brasserie. The food is consistently excellent. It’s our go to Thai every time. Thank you to all the friendly staff for a great evening.

We regularly go here for lunch or evening meal….oh & takeaway. Service is always friendly & the food always excellent. This restaurant & the fig tree are by far the best restaurants in Sussex. Just writing about Bangkok brasserie means I’m going to book a meal this week. Mimi & jaew are exceptional people too

This is a true hidden gem. The quality of customer service is absolutely exceptional, as is the very reasonably priced food. Nothing was too much of a problem, even when one of our party tried to converse with the owner in very broken Thai. Highly recommended.

Visited for the first time this evening on our wedding anniversary, (43rd). It will not be the last time we eat here. The décor is pleasant. We both had starters and mains. The food was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. and the service was first class. There is a wide choice of Thai food on the menu and I'm sure it is all just as good as our choices. We had, Spring rolls, pork dumplings, green curry with jasmine rice, pad Khing and Pad Thai noodles. The restaurant was very quiet but deserves to be busier although we are early diners and maybe it would get busier later.

The menu has a great choice of dishes to suit various palates and diets. Lunchtime 'specials' are a really good introduction to Thai cuisine.

Thank you for a really friendly service from Eve, this is a lovely little restaurant which we have visited once before, and a wonderful food which was so good very much enjoyed on both visits. Will come again.

Local family restaurant run by chef patron and his wife with a friendly brigade. The original and still the best Thai restaurant in West Sussex. True Thai food, cooked by a Thai kitchen, with ingredients sourced from Thailand where required. Others may look the same but their chefs are not Thai! Excellent selection, cooked fresh to order. Nice small restaurant. Popular with business clients at lunchtimes. Intimate in the evening. Telephone home delivery service available. Situated at the end of Church walk near the Post office and opposite Burgess Hill Theatre and Town Council Help Point,(Tourist Information Centre). Just look for the landmark spire of Nearby St, John's Church and you can't get lost!

The food was cold, sticky rice resembled a block of cheese and the rest was mostly tasteless! I like Thai food but this was the worst Thai food I have had, I would probably say ever! Oh, and the staff were incredibly rude!

Had a family meal here at it was just great. My favourite Thai dish is Tamarind Duck. At this restaurnat it was perfert, the duck beind so tender and wondeful sauce. The rest of the family had different, and super dishes. The Crispy Sea Bass is another favourite. This independent family run business deserves a high acolade for it's food and service. At the chain restaurants, "it's in and out fast", not here, you hav the table all evening. Their lunchtime offer is also a must.

We popped in for a tapas lunch , we couldn’t walk past as the restaurant looked so inviting !Bustling for a Tuesday lunchtime, great atmosphere all down to the inviting host who welcomed us .The food was excellent, tasty , hot and plentiful, the best Thai food l have ever had .We will be returning and l will definitely spread the word It’s a must !

Booked a table for two for 7.15 and were seated straight away it was fairly busy we had the sharing platter for two and then the sea bass and my friend had the mint ice cream overall the food was excellent very fresh and cooked well we thoroughly enjoyed it and the staff are lovely and attentive it's one of my favourite places to go

The Bangkok Brasserie is to Burgess Hill an oasis in the middle if the Serengeti. It is a genuinely nice place amongst cafes and charity shops. This wouldn't be the first, or the last time my family would eat here - but it would be the first time I realised that the fresh zesty flavours could be put into tupperware and laid out in front of an eager, hungry almost ravenous family and to their delight, be as good as fresh from the kitchen.I had ordered the Thai Green Curry, sharing platter and vegetable in lightly fried batter (I forget the actual name). And I enjoyed it immensely. As I sat, savouring the bright notes from the Thai Green Curry. I cast my mind back to the times we would sit in at the restaurant, where we would be enjoying Thai style versions of pop songs, an attentive staff and of course, delicious food. I sat there in a meditative state, and I let a smile gently cast over the mouth of my face. A smile that the country has been collectively waiting for after a dreary 15+ months. The Bangkok Brasserie is a true delight to the senses and a reminder that not all that glitters is gold, but, dear reader, not all that is gold glitters. The Bangkok Brasserie is a rare case where it is both a gold standard and it glitters like the stars above. The very stars our ancestors would look up to in awe and wonder, what are they? Where are they? Who are they? If they only knew the things we know now. I can safely say they would look to those stars with the same smile I had after eating at this wonderful restaurant.

Very polite, easy to order, arrived on time as agreed, hot, delicious, generous quantities, perfectly cooked. First impression? Excellent. We'll be back.

This small family owned restaurant deserves every positive review it gets. Forget ‘Lemongrass’, ‘Giggling Squid’ and any others who try very hard, Bangkok Brasserie IS the real deal!This is food that anyone who has travelled to Thailand will recognise as authentic. Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly with distinct flavours in each dish.Don’t be fooled into thinking that because its in Burgess Hill and not Brighton or London you won’t be impressed. Their food is hands down the best Thai food I’ve tasted outside Thailand. Count yourself lucky its on our doorstep.Please support small restaurants like BB during these very challenging times. They need your takeaway and dine in custom now more than never to make sure this Burgess Hill favourite serving up high quality food, remains part of our high street.

Went to this restaurant last night for the first time. The food is excellent and delicious with generous helpings. The taste is very authentic. . Very reasonably priced as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Felt very comfortable with their Covid procedures. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times now and both visits have been a nice experience. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the service is very quick. The menu is varied with many tasty options and reasonably priced. The food is fresh and good portions. Will definitely eat here again and recommend the Bangkok Brasserie.

Finally a really great Thai food restaurant in Burgess Hill (although I’m told they’ve been there for 5 years now). Delicious, fresh and authentic food, warm and friendly service. Very reasonably priced. Absolutely loved it. It’s definitely going to be my new favourite and regularly place to go. Thrilled also to see they do Take-always and deliveries too. Nice and varied menu with some amazing dishes and the classic Thai favourites. Can’t wait to go back there soon. Nice to go to an independent Thai restaurant rather than the bland chains everywhere.

Returned here last Saturday. Everything Covid friendly and food was as good as always. Mother in law enjoyed fish cakes and red Thai beef which she said was gorgeous. I had the soup and sea bass which was delicious. Service friendly and efficient and super quick. Will definitely return.

It was my son's 20th birthday and we were all in lockdown, thinking this would be a miserable way to celebrate it. Ordered a take-a-way (we would normally celebrate by going to a top restaurant). This didn't disappoint at all! It arrived about 30 minutes from ordering. It was pretty fantastic, loads of flavour combinations we hadn't tried or had before. Seriously the chefs a genius! Didn't even think we spent as much as we should of for the quality (maybe I shouldn't have said that). Thanks everyone there, for helping to make it a more special day than it would have been otherwise. Appreciated.

We ordered a takeway during lockdown.Staff were friendly on the phone. Order was accurate and food arrived 10 minutes early!Delivery was respectful of social distancing.We were impressed by the portion sizes which provided excellent value for money. Both of us really enjoyed our meals.

Mimi ls always lovely & welcoming. Her husband’s food is fresh & exceptional. Great value, great staff. I think my wife, son & I have tried all the dishes & never been disappointed. It was the first restaurant me & my wife went to after a 6 month medically induced lockdown.....delicious!

I usually visit for Lunch, but have also visited for evening dinner and the much more extensive menu. The result is the same whether for lunch or dinner, excellent, authentic food, cooked to order, If you like it less spicy just tell them when you place your order. The same if you like your food more spicy.The service is always good, and the number of regulars who are known to the staff speaks volumes for the quality of the food.

Thought we'd give the place a try as big fans to thai food.Staff are very friendly and service was quick.The mixed platter to start was just ok. Unfortunately the main courses were no more than average - had the beef massaman as had an amazing version of this dish at my favourite thai restaurant (Kai's Kitchen in Tunbridge Wells).The meal here didn't compare - while the beef was a generous portion, it was cut into cubes and not very flavoursome. There could have been a bit more potato as well!I did ask for the sauce to be quite mild and to be fair, it was prepared exactly to my request.While it wasn't a bad meal by any stretch, it could have had a bit more wow factor.

We took on board the TA reviews for this restaurant and were not disappointed. Our lunch orders were taken swiftly, the food appeared on the table equally swiftly. My vegetarian tapas were spicy but with good depth of flavour. Excellent value for money.

Had another great meal here New Year’s Eve . Always made to feel welcome , both food and service as always excellent. Not much more to say other than if you haven’t eaten here then you are missing a treat.

Today my friend and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch at Bangkok Brasserie! I asked about gluten and nut free options upon arrival and I was pleased to hear they were able to cater for me!! There was a range of options from vegetarian to fish/meat.I settled for the red Thai vegetable curry and was pleasantly surprised with a most tasty and mouth watering meal. The service was with a smile and the small pink bottles of Prosecco washed it down a treat. I am planing to return again next week to celebrate my husband’s and my anniversary! Thank you so much. A real little gem and reasonably priced too!

We had a lovely lunch here a couple of weeks ago. Excellent set lunch menu - piping hot and substantial. All for £10 with a glass of very good white wine. Good service, would definitely return.

Had supper here with a friend and have been before. Food is fine albeit not inspirational however it is good value and more price competitive than other Thai restaurants locally. Staff friendly and we shared some dishes which suited our needs. Will return.

I hadn't visited for quite awhile and there was a revamped lunch time menu on offer. Good to see the quality was still excellent and the service very friendly and efficient.

Fantastic value for money lunch Tapas style Thai food including a glass of wine. Menu to suit all tastes and prepared fresh. Service quick and efficient. Prices reasonable. Evening meals look equally as good.

For a place which says they are the best in Burgess Hill this was a bit of a let down.

Went to this restaurant with friends a few weeks ago.

As always the food here is excellent and staff very attentive. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars this time is that we went on a Saturday night with friends, everything was lovely until the end. We were enjoying our wine, it was only 10 o'clock and the staff were clearing all the tables, crockery, mats, everything and cleaning them. I felt this was totally inappropriate, we were there to enjoy our evening and ended up feeling as if they wanted us out so they could close. Would not put us off going back though.

Just come from a lovely dinner with my family. My grandparents Owen and Margret are very fond of this place and Mimi who is always very friendly and accommodating, nothing is ever too much for the staff here. We had a scrumptious meal as always here. We ordered our usual favourites, we had forgotten to order our Tamarind duck but Dia saw we felt something was missing and accommodated in us no time. I personally love this place and rate this to lots of my friends that are looking for something authentic. Personally I am all for independent restaurants as I myself work in this industry and know how competitive it can be. All I can say is if you fancy homely cooked, authentic and flavourful Thai cuisine, then this is the place to dine. We will be returning soon, thank you to all the team for your hospitality x

Beautiful fresh Thai food. Lovely service and great value for money. Visited with 3 friends on Saturday evening and had a wonderful evening. Staff very attentive and the food is delicious. Very fresh, beautifully cooked and we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Food selection was good with various options and served fresh. Service was great and would definitely return again. Only comment was that the restaurant had no background music when we visited which was fine once it started to busy up.

Had a lovely meal there with friends last night. Food great, good service & reasonable prices, but only one other couple came all evening although a few takeaways. Dont know what it is usually like but this really is a lovely restaurant & the locals should support it.

Just had a meal here for the first time with my partner. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food, the lady that served us was very friendly and attentive and it was a nice touch when the chef came out to check we were happy. Lovely little restaurant and very reasonably priced. We’ll be back :)

No waiting. Good drinks selection. All three courses were delicious, hot or cold as expected. Very attentive staff and very reasonable pricing. PS. All desserts are to die for!!

In a little place , not so big not so fancy, a great Thai restaurant which serves delicious starters, and great dish lovely service if you are around you should try this restaurant very recommend

Take little notice of the very small poor reports, this is genuine Thai food and service. Mimi and Jeaw, produce excellent food and very friendly service. We have eaten here, both in the restaurant and take away, since they took over the restaurant. We return many times because we like Thai food and prefer family service to the chain type service. Regardless of new or regular customers, you will get a friendly greeting and not feel, just another customer. There are lots of good dishes but our favourites are Tamarind duck, Crispy Sea Bass, and my wife really likes the Green Thai Curry. For dessert, try the banana fritter with ice cream (light crisp batter, lovely). Their fixed price lunch is super value and includes a glass of wine or a soft drink. And no, I have no connection with this restaurant (other than a paying customer). Prices generally are reasonable.

What a find! Really good food, though beware as the curry was a little hotter than expected :) The baked fish was delicious. There were 3 of us and we shared 3 starters, which worked really well. I'll certainly be going back again soon.

Food pretty good as always. Beef in the Massamam bit tough. Unfortunately tonight the service was rather cold . This was a shame as always good previously.

Lovely restaurant at the church end of Burgess Hill, food is great, cooked to the spice level you ask for, service is as relaxed as you want it to be. The front of house team, lead by Mimi, always try to ensure the food and service are excellent.

Wonderful little spot where the food is authentic, staff are lovely and everything is perfect. I've eaten here maybe 15 times over the last couple f years and can only rate this place highly and never had anything that I wouldn't recommend to others. Have to say though that I only ever visit at lunch times where I always opt for the tapas meals. I'll certainly keep coming back.

I’ve eaten here and always found the food to be really authentic but I was not as impressed with the take away. Especially the king prawn pad Thai that I ordered was basically noodles, peanuts and 4 small prawns! Very disappointed as I ordered this as my main dish. There was also a lack of vegetables in all the dishes.

This is a small but very lively restaurant. We changed our party size two times with no issues. The service was excellent and unhurried. The food was devine!

Fresh ingredients, tasty food and very attentive ( but not overly so) , motivated, helpful staff. Their wish was that your meal was right for you. A very enjoyable meal.

We had my birthday lunch here. Our first time visiting this restaurant and we were really surprised with the quality of food, the service and the friendliness of the staff. The food is authentic Thai and we had a nice chat with the owner, who served us, about the spices and flavours.

The quality of food and friendliness of the owner and staff make this small restaurant a "must" if you live in the area or are visiting. Food is reasonably priced, as are the drinks. Another big plus is that no service charge is added, unlike some restaurants in the Town and everyone can make their own decision on whether to leave a "tip".

We had a short break and found this cosy restaurant on our first night. So pleased!!!

Having been in here a few times, the food has always been nice. The staff are very friendly (I believe husband and wife) only downside for me is you order the food and within 5 mins maximum your food is with you and can hear the microwave dinging just slightly puts me off knowing the food is just quickly re heated.

What can I say.. if you like delicious authentic Thai dishes you must eat here. Outstanding food, friendly service and very reasonably priced. By far the best Thai food I’ve tasted! I will be back!!

Visited Bangkok brasserie today for the first time to celebrate my good friends 50th birthday. They had opened up the restaurant especially for her and as it’s nice and intimate it was full of her friends and family. What a fabulous place, I won’t be going to other Thai restaurants now I have discovered Bangkok brasserie. The welcome was warm, service fantastic, the management incredibly friendly and the food divine.

You either like Thai food or you love it, at Bangkok Brasserie you only get the "love it" experience. Although it was good several years ago it gradually went downhill and our visits became less and less always hoping standards would rise again. Since the restaurant came under new management just over 1 year ago standards have been high and never drop, visits become more frequent The menu, whilst not onerously extensive, has many dishes dishes created by the chef (Jaew) not seen elsewhere, try the mixed seafood for a new Thai experience. Evening prices are moderate lunch specials are exceptionally inexpensive. If it's your first time go with friends for a midweek lunch, get the best value for money and try to order differently from one another, then share and get the benefit of most flavours. Then move on to a romantic dinner for 2 or explore the opportunity for a larger group celebration, host, Mimi, is always eager to help and suggest ideas. We were there last week and off again tomorrow evening for a "pre-Theatre" dinner, can't wait TC (parking in Crescent Way, 2 mins)

Lovely and friendly owners, good quality food and portion sizes. Always had a great meal here, never had any complaints. Nice to see the regulars during the day when I tend to eat here. Beef salad is incredible if you can handle the heat!

Now our favourite Thai restaurant in Burgess Hill. Lovely friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The food was superb and authentic. Our only suggestions are; get some tablecloths and lose the awful ‘kebab shop’ OPEN sign on the door. They cheapen what is an amazing eating experience.

This restaurant, at the end of the high street, is a little difficult at first to see as you walk along. But once inside, you're in for a treat. The owners are extremely welcoming, the decor pleasant and the food superb! Whether you choose from one of the well thought out set menus or go for the a la carte, the flavours and presentation are of an extremely high quality. And the dining experience is further enhanced by the owners, whose friendliness and attention to detail places this restaurant much higher than many of the more "commercial" Thai restaurants we have sprung up in Brighton in recent years. Definitely a place we hope to go back to often.

The Bangkok Brasserie is under new ownership. Located at the bottom of the precinct opposite the Council Office is now a gem of a Thai Restaurant. The new owners have previously worked in some of the top rated Thai restaurants in the South East and now have set themselves up here. First impressions as you walk in is the warm welcome and cleanliness of the whole restaurant - always a good sign. We shared our own choice of a selection of starters including tempura shrimp and vegetables, pork dumplings, salt and pepper squid. Amazing, the freshness and delightful flavours across the palate combined with perfect sauces were delicious. The main courses were equally fresh, well balanced and beautifully presented. We finished with some of the best fried bananas and ice-cream.

We tried out this restaurant for the first time as we're local and it's at the quieter end of Church Walk. We were very surprised at the friendly welcome and decor inside. It's a great menu and we ordered a mixed sharing platter to start with. This had chicken satay, prawn toast, dumplings and spring rolls. Great fresh flavour with good dips.

Went for lunch with my colleague.. this place serves this combo meal where you get starter, main course and glass of house red/white wine or juice.. I’d 2 chicken dumplings, 2 prawn tempuras, chicken masaiman with sticky rice and a glass of house red wine, all for £10 which was great.. food was good, standard Thai stuff which can hardly go wrong.. overall good experience..

Popped in for a quick lunch today and the food and service was up to the usual excellent standard. How they turn such great food round so quickly always amazes me.

At the far end of the high street close to Burgess Hill Post Office this small Thai restaurant offers an excellent selection of tasty dishes. Friendly staff and some lunchtime bargains ranging from small plates to the usual big flavoured Thai dishes. Cosy atmosphere and no need to rush. Always worth a visit.

We go for the fantastic food!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!! The green curry mussels is out of this world! Very authentic flavours after being to Thailand a few times.

My first impression was warm and welcoming the service was friendly and with good speed.Loved the freshness of the starters wonderful pork dumplings simply to die for. The main was a mixed seafood dish my husband loved it and I had a sweet and sour chicken I found it very sweet was not for me the owner did not charge me for it and I found that simply fair and a good attitude to make the guest happy. I definitely will return and try the green curry next time.

Been here during my last business trip in London. I was wondering if I would have been able to have a good meal around. Looked on the web for something tasty and found out Bangkok Brasserie. I was a bit skeptic but I decided to give it a try.

I would definitely come back. Fresh and authentic tasting thai food. Had fish curry in green sauce which was seabass, weeping tiger beef dish, papaya Salad, ribs and rice. All was delicious. Service was fantastic. They even had spare reading glasses for their customers. Good value and a real treat. Thank you.

Great little restaurant, really tasty food. Mixed starter was exceptional. Duck was worth the wait, plenty of food. Prices were definitely fair.

Very attentive staff, give you plenty of time to decide on your choice of food, menu is clear and easy to understand, food is hot and freshly cooked (as it should be) and very tasty.

Lucky as we turned up without a reservation and a number behind us missed out. Food was sumptuous and yummy. Over stuffed ourselves again.Service is very caring and they genuinely want you to enjoy their foodI think we can squeeze in on other visit or two before Christmas

I love this restaurant for a tapas lunch and make a special journey to to go there with my partner or son.There are two vegetarian options that cost £7.50 for a 4 piece tapas set that also includes wine or a soft drink.I always leave a good tip because the food is excellent, the service is friendly and the value is absolutely amazing.I've also been in the evening, where you pay more, but it's still better than any restaurant in my home town of Crawley. I can't comment on the takeaway options, as I'm too far away for delivery to work, but it's worth a visit if you are anywhere near Burgess Hill.

Although the premises are Bijou the welcome surprise of great food &choice is very good!Attentive service(without being at all pushy) combined with great dishes definitely makes this worthy of consideration for a most pleasantmeal out , lunch or dinner!

It was my Graduation in Brighton but I live in Hassocks and I hadn't gotten around to booking a restaurant in Brighton. However my family prefer quieter more family run restaurants so after looking at the reviews of Bangkok Brasserie on Trip adviser we decided to go there on a Tuesday night which is one of their quieter nights. The Food was amazing! The service was fantastic, we are a family of Vegans and Vegetarians and there was plenty on options for us to eat. You could tell the food was super fresh and the vegetables were cooked just right in the stir fry meals. I definitely recommend!

I love this little restaurant so much. It's perfect for lunch and dinner and the food on the menu sound delicious. There are lunch time set menus which is like tapas style and it's just the right amount of food for a good lunch. The service time for the food is always excellent and we've never had to wait long at all. I've been coming here about 10 times this year alone, it's so good! The staff are so friendly and professional, always dressed smartly and mostly in traditional wear which is lovely. The food is always so tasty and full of flavour. I highly recommend coming here if it's for a date night or even a small dinner party.

We ordered a take away via Just Eat and it was very good. The food arrived earlier than expected (it was a Friday night too), and the quality was very good. It was the first time ordering from here and we were pleasantly surprised! While we stuck to favourite classics like chicken satay, mussaman curry, jasmine rice etc, the ingredients were fresh and overall we were very pleased. I would recommend!

First time at this restaurant and it's a real gem. The food was exceptional and very tasty, especially the duck rolls. Highly recommended and definitely going back!

If you want a nice Thai meal then look no further then here. This authentic little restaurant offers lovely dishes at a good price. The staff always go that extra mile and you are always given complimentary prawn crackers and dips on arrival. Easily one of the best restaurants in Burgess Hill. Would recommend the Thai green, Jungle duck or spicy shredded beef.

We ordered a take away last weekend after reading about the reviews and excited to try after only just moving into the area. We ordered via Just Eat and now I know that these orders are not priority I won't use this service again not that we'll order from here any time soon.Our order arrive just over half an hour late, by this time it was gone 9.30pm and we were hungry having waiting 1hr30+ for it to arrive. We had to call twice and then had a call from their driver giving directions, twice again...when it arrived my husband met the driver outside the house, when they turned up the window was wide open and the bag of food was just sitting on the passengers lap along with order bags of food. Firstly this isn't going to keep the food warm and is this a hygienic way to transport food?! Obviously when we opened up the food it was all cold, not even luke warm, cold so we have the tiresome task of having to heat it all up. While I did this I called to complain and all I got was I'm sorry, it was not intentional and not done on purpose, he sounded like a kid apologising to his parents for being naughty, the professionalism was appalling, he then went on to say their telephone orders take priority and the order before ours lived quite far out, so I said surely logistically they should deliver those closest first then to the further one?! But he explained that it didn't work like that, direct orders took priority. Which to me is not good and Just Eat need to be aware of this as surely it should be First Come First Served?! He also denied that the bag would be sitting on the woman's lap, how he can be sure of this I don't know when my husband witnessed it with hi own eyes. The fact the food was so cold just showed how far it must have traveled and the fact the it wasn't in a heat bag. He then practically begged me to come back and try them again and promised it wouldn't be the same service, he even said he would give me a free alcoholic drink which is an insult because I don't drink and also made no difference to my dinner at that point being ruined. Once we heated up the food it was ok, nothing special and have definitely eaten much nicer Thai's elsewhere so I do not understand why the reviews are so good. We were extremely disappointed with the food but most of all the service, we were hoping after all the stress the food would have made it worth the wait but unfortunately it was nothing more than average.

Tried lots of different dishes and always thoroughly enjoyed every meal. My favourite curry is the beef penang served with coconut rice, but the yellow curry and mussaman are equally as delicious. Tonight's visit was my second visit this month, last week with my daughter where we shared a mixed starter of prawn toast, chicken satay, dumplings, Thai fish cakes and spring rolls, together with the obligatory Thai and Chinese style prawn crackers.The food is authentic Thai style. Lots of drink choices to compliment the food you choose, including proscecco which is reasonably priced. The melon cocktail is my absolute favourite and definitely worth trying!Service is consistently excellent, the staff are attentive and you never wait long for courses or drinks, but equally you never feel rushed to leave once you've finished either! I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.
