Food was amazing, tasty and hot. Really enjoyed it and very happy with the service provided, defo will order again 😃👍

Tried to order food on just eat. After paying £20 it took 10 minutes for just eat to say it had been cancelled. I accept that I don’t mind. So I rang up to enquire could I pick up if delivery was busy. I was told they because I cancelled a meal previously (5 months ago) as it was over an hour late and been in a car for an hour that they don’t want my business. When I went on to explain that this is against consumer rights they then said that they wasn’t delivering tonight (even though they was on just eat) .. to which he said that the delivery drivers car all of a sudden had a problem. Very poor customer service. Not sure if become complacent due to being open since covid-19 but will strongly defer anyone from ordering from these. Especially when this was for my child’s birthday.

So looking for a delivery for my partners birthday. Looking online and noticed the massive price hike ups. I happened to walk past here today and remembered the name and gave them a ring. Lovely food excellent value, quick delivery, lovely delivery driver. Our new go to take away.

Would have been very good take away had it not been for them forgetting the chips and then saying they would get someone to drop them off ‘straight away’, we waited a further 55 minutes at that point we became frustrated and our food had gone cold.

We ordered the set meal for 2 people and are thoroughly disappointed. We are not fussy and rarely complain or send back food but a spoonful from each dish was enough. The meats in each curry were dry and the sauces were tasteless- you really couldn't tell much of a difference between the types of curries. The naan arrived cold and soggy also. I did phone to explain how disappointed we were and to say that all of the food is still sat in the containers and will go uneaten. I even offered to return it the following day! The customce I received was terrible... rather than being empathetic, they informed me of how busy they had been that night (not really an excuse to be honest) and that no one else had complained so he couldn't understand what could possibly be wrong with the food. He said that he would perhaps be willing to give us a discount on our next order (will absolutely not be reordering!!!) And eventually told me he would consider refunding us £5!!!! We have wasted all of the food and £30... terrible customer service, terrible food. Do not waste your time and money with this place :) *** On a second note just because you're a well established business and not all people complain about your food doesnt give you a right to just discard the complaints when you do suggesting we are the problem.

Really nice food at reasonable prices. Delivery time was good and my partner said the onion bhajee's are excellent.

Decent food does not make up for dreadful service. Having ordered our food at 7.30pm, we were told that the food would arrive at 8.30pm. At 9pm we had still not received our food, nor had the restaurant contacted us to inform us that the food would be arriving late. Both ourselves and Just Eat had to contact the restaurant twice before we were given an update. When we finally had a call from the delivery driver, at 9.40pm, he was not at the right building and did not apologise for this, or for his lateness. We then had to direct him to our front door. By the time the food was on our plates we didn't really want it.

One hour and a half later and it's just being made now. Shocking - don't waste your money or time!!!

Ordered delivery and 1.5 hours late food turns up! After 2 phone calls saying 10 mins and it will be with you. Food arrives.... wrong order - shocking, will never go here again

Collected instead this time, staff were friendly. Rang me to tell me my order was ready, and I haven’t had a takeaway do that before. Food was just a bit too spicy, but was nice.

After a 30 minute wait past the designated delivery time (of 10pm!!!), the order delivered was in fact wrong. Both the restaurant and the delivery driver were also very rude on the phone, hanging up without listening to what was being said. Very disappointed with the service.

We had a bad experience with delivery times previously but decided to give them another chance - again we have waited over two hours for food that arrived luke warm and ended up eating when we would usually be asleep! Terrible. Don't order from here

Normally amazing food from here, regular customer, but the curry was a bit watery today :( Delivery was 5 minutes early! Love the garlic naan but could have a tad more garlic butter on!

food was really nice and delivered 10 mins early. however, our order was missing our two drinks and when I phoned he said they were in the bag and I was wrong but then called me back to say it was there mistake but they had closed so couldn't bring my drinks, annoying.. very nice food good value

Was shocked to have such a good meal from a restaurant that doesn't have full stars, but it was gorgeous and I'll definitely be ordering from here again!!!

Got one of the naan breads wrong but apart from that it was excellent as usual

First the bad: Order time was extended by 30 minutes. And after 40 minutes it still hadn't shown up. I chased with a phonecall and it eventually turned up 20 minutes later. I was all fired up about to leave a bad review and then... I tasted it! AMAZING!! Truly worthy of the title Balti KING! Loads of massive pieces of chicken in an awesome madras sauce, the chicken chat was great and the keema naan was wonderful. This will be my 'go to' takeaway from now on... I'll just be sure to order like 3 hours before I'm likely to want to eat! Fix your delivery times and you could topple Juboraj as the Indian takeaway kings of Cardiff!

Food hasn't turned up and restaurant is closed. Paid by card too.. Great.

NOT GOOD! 2 hours after placing the order and 2 phone calls to the restaurant, the food turns up. After being told "it's on its way" - that was another 25 minute wait when I live 5/10 minutes away. Food is cold, chips are hard and an item missing. Going downhill. Won't be ordering again.

Forgot to give us the onion Bhaji we ordered and when we phoned they said we were "too far away" for them to bring them. Even though we had paid for it. Very poor. Unlikely to use again

Someone else's order arrived 20 minutes late, no apology for the delay and then after some discussion the driver took the other hungry customer's food away and said he would be back in a few minutes... 10 minutes later my food arrived with no apology and my empty stomach, satisfied... Would I order again? Yes, but I'll make sure I order a day ahead of time...

Food was good, it's the second time I've ordered from the take away using the just eat app, first time as collection this time delivery, both times never on time, but as the food was very good and ordered at peak time on a Saturday night it is understandable.

The best Indian takeaway in Cardiff!

Have been using this takeaway for many years. Top quality food, extremely tasty and friendly staff!! I lived in the area as I was growing up but have since moved further away and still choose Balti King over my current local takeaways.

Half hour late. But delicious as always and they put a free rice in. Bootiful.

My delivery time was 8.55pm, my order arrived at 10pm, I phoned them twice 9.05 and 9.40 to be told order was on its way. The man I spoke to on the phone was very rude and cut the call short as I was about to ask a question. Food was OK, but I wouldn't order from them again

Ordered for the first time from balti king because my friend said it was nice, however, Wrong meal delivered, the delivery driver did rectify this however the food was cold and my keema naan had 1slice of meat in the corner.

Amazing food - my favourite takeaway! Shame about the predicted delivery time on this occasion, over an hour later than they said, wouldn't have minded if they'd have put it on the outset, but they didn't. Also, didn't get the chips I ordered.

Haven't ordered from here for years (since I was a student and lived meters away!) however I will definitely be going back. The food was great, not greasy like many takeaways - and ready for collection right on time!

I always order my Indian takeaway from Balti King. It has always been without fail - both in terms of food quality and delivery time. However, this time they delivered an hour and a half earlier than expected and I wasn't at home to accept my order, so my housemate did, unbeknown of the fact that I had ordered one. I subsequently phoned Balti King to inform them of this and asked them to redeliver my order to me, as by the time I had arrived home it had gone cold. Safe tonsay, the guy on the phone was less than apologetic and stated "we're very busy now." He offered me 15% off my next order, which I think is insulting for a loyal customer who ordered for a specific time which wasn't adhered to. Cathays/Roath isn't short of takeouts, next time I'll be exploring others.

2nd time ordering and this restaurant and their delivery dude are brilliant. I haven't visited the restaurant, but have given them full stars assuming their hospitality will be outstanding as their takeaway service is. Not worth it. We have ordered many many times they are always rude and we have never received our full order. It takes at least 2 hours to arrive. When we have rung them to ask about missing items they have either argued, blamed us or just hung up on us!! Even though we have been loyal customers. I think their attitude to orders is more like a charitable donation not an actual food order so be prepared to have half your order and a lot of attitude! Miserable experience!! Left us upset every time.

Awful service. Ordered at 20.50, arrived at 23.20. After phoning three times and being told it was on it's way and extras would be included. No extras included and took an hour to come after first phone call despite being assured it was on its way. Not worth the wait. Don't use.

Very good food. Delivery time a little confusing as said would arrive 21:45 but came 21:15. But food very tasty and well cooked.

Not the best Indian I've had, but still thoroughly enjoyed - everything was piping hot and delivered well before estimated delivery time.

My chicken nuggets were dry and they were chicken tikka and that is not what it says online, if i order chicken nuggets it is what i expect.

Ordered for 8 pm as didn't finish work till 7.30 they turned up at 6.55pm instead so my partner had to have food without me and I had to eat it cold and when they turned up and my partner said it wasn't ment to come till 8 they said it's here now which was not helpful.

Main Chicken Tikka with no onions or coriander came with all of the above, and it must have been a starter portion not a main.

Food was hot, delicious and came quickly :)

Amazing food, on time delivery!!

We were told that the restaurant had placed an 'extra 20 minutes on delivery time' but the food arrived way before that, I think it only took 20 minutes, really pleased! Balti King offer a great 20% discount on takeaways and we got a huge set menu + delivery charge all for approximately £20! The food was fantastic and the portion size was amazing. I can't fold the guys at the restaurant, everything was there! Will buy again! Thanks!

Awful!! late, cold and wrong!

Very reasonably priced food considering the price tag

Had a couple of takeaways in the last fortnight. Service is good (arrives at the agreed time), food is fine, perfectly good, but nothing to make it stand out. That said I've had some dodgy takeaways from other indians over the years and the two orders from Balti King have been perfectly acceptable, so I'll be ordering again. Better than the average but not a 4 star "very good" so 3½ stars if that was an option

Outstanding.! Regularly order from these guys and it's always incredibly tasty, high quality and exceptional value for money. We have also eaten in their restaurant on multiple occasions, and it's a classically beautiful, clean and chilled place for a night, with friendly service, and a grand selection of draft beers!! Top place!

The worst place I have ever ate from. Half the order was wrong and the other half was rock solid chicken and rice which looked bitten in to. When I addressed this the staff were rude and not helpful at all. I wanted to rate this zero but it wouldn't let me.

We have been using Balti King for over 10 yrs and even though we now live out of the area luckily we are still in their delivery zone,thankfully,as nothing in our new neighbourhood compares on any level!You always have to wait a little longer than their prediction for delivery but it's always worth it!

delicious but i almost went into a korma since it took 2 hours to come

This was deliver an hour late and the man on the phone kept lying to us and telling us it had left 5 minutes ago, every time we called! Naans were pre-made and charred to look as though they were made in the kitchen, the drink was wrong and the sag paneer, ummm...a little saggy! Won't be ordering again. Jalfrezi was nice though and so was the Makhni.

First order was everything on the starter menu basically our own buffet , everything tasted fantastic full of flavour and hot in delivery. I order a simple chicken balti and garlic naan tonight and there was more taste in a cardboard box, delivery was very quick, no flavour or depth to the balti, just baby food with chicken, no salt or sugar added to garlic naan making it a complete tasteless mess, complete opposite to our last order

New management. Still quality. Great food. Delivery was fast and the driver was courteous. The madras was not as good(in my opinion) as it was but still very flavoursome and with the right amount of heat. The tikka masala has dramatically improved over the old and will be ordered again. Overall keeping a good curry place to a very decent standard.

Ordered a butter chicken and we were delivered a korma. Spoke to a really rude person on the phone "oh, does it have to be a butter chicken or can you just have the korma?" Not a great curry and the service was even worse.

a great meal left me feeling I want more

Disappointed with the chicken tikka masala, certainly lacked the usual flavour. The added bits were good but the experience fell very short of what I expected.
