Very close to Belfast International Airport. Friendly staff, nice room, good food, bad WiFi unfortunately, not the speed but disconnecting all the time. Free parking. Very good breakfast

We stayed here for one night. Had the steak dinner and a bottle of wine it was amazing service very good. Our room was spacious and comfy and clean. After our great steak dinner was looking forward to breakfast the next morning what a disappointment. Everything was deep fried and the scrambled eggs were like rubber. No fried eggs or poached option. This sort of spoilt our stay.

Good value steak night and overnight stay.Dinner was very tasty with attentive staff.Room was large and bed comfortable.Breakfast was self service and basic.Cooked food wasn’t good even though it was only 20 mins after breakfast started scrambled egg was dry and no taste. Ting on reception was warm and welcoming when we arrived.

We had a family meal in the Ballyrobin Hotel tonight. I'm glad to say that everyone had a great time and a lovely meal. The place has been nicely decorated and has a comfortable atmosphere. Service was really good. Everyone enjoyed their food, one of my group is gluten free and they said that the gluten free vegetable soup was delicious. I must admit that my starter which was Feta and Beetroot salad was just OK but everything else was great. I would definitely go again and I totally recommend this place to anyone.

The steak was excellent, as was the wine, and staff were very attentive.

Great food, great staff, good location, plenty of parking. 4 of us booked for Sunday lunch. Been here a few times and never been disappointed. 2x turkey and ham, 1x daube of beef and 1x salt & chilli chicken. Their potatoes and gravy is on a different level to other places we've been and my beef was probably the best I've ever had. We all had chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert and it was superb. Highly recommended for a nice relaxing and very satisfying Sunday lunch.

Such a quaint wee hotel, 800 metres from international airport. You can sit on the Courtyard and watch the planes land. Food is delicious and nothing is a problem for any of the friendly staff. On their website they do fantastic offers. We love it snd the prices are very reasonable. 5 stars.

Only went for a drink in the bar. An oldie worldy place with oddments of decor. The toilets were not very clean with nothing more than a ply wood wall between the men and ladies with gaping holes. Not a very well finished project. I will give the dining rooms a try next time I'm passing..... And so I did......food was excellent. Staff were very good.. Turkey dinner was so nice. Been again and have to say the food is excellent.

After a very stressful experience with a redirected flight due to a storm, I booked a last minute room here. All of the staff were so kind, friendly and accommodating.The room was perfect and very clean with a lovely shower. They have a bus that will take you to the airport which is very nearby. I really appreciated the warm hospitality during a stressful time so thank you to everyone at Ballyrobin!

Booked last minute after a cancelled flight and the staff member who looked after us was incredible- I didn’t get her name unfortunately. The room was great, clean and spacious and we were even asked if we wanted food cooked after arriving at 11pm! They organised transport to the airport the next Morning and the location is perfect for early flights. While I hope I’m not in that situation again I would absolutely stay here if I was- thank you!

I’m giving it two star because it was edible. I’ve been going here for years. It used to be a la carte sort of food; stuff you wouldn’t make at home. We were given the menu and five dishes weren’t available. So not a big choice. It was things like burger and chips, fish and chips, peppered chicken…just basic stuff. We ordered starter and main course. Starter came out within about three minutes. Maincourse came within 15 minutes of ordering. Just frozen pre made stuff. Fish and chips was £16.50 and tasted of NOTHING. It’s the sort of standard you’d get from a food van. I’m not even kidding. Waitresses just put bottle of wine on table, didn’t pour for you. Just poor service and poor food. We didn’t get food poisoning so giving it two stars. We’ll never be back. It was funny at one point because REM Everybody Hurts was playing in the background- fitted the mood perfectly lol. Me and my husband and two hotel guests were there. Just dead. No atmosphere. Sad like.

Quite cold in the restaurant. Unfortunately the fire wasnt lit which previously was a big attraction in this country house restaurant. Not much of an atmosphere. Staff very pleasant. Food was ok. Disappointing that there wasnt a set price for the xmas menu unless for groups of over 10 people.

We opted for the Christmas Lunch Express menu. A mug of vegetable soup with a part baguette (sadly not sourdough as advertised) & a dish of fries, turkey, ham, stuffing & gravy & tea/coffee for £10.95. This was amazing value for money. The soup was bursting with vegetables. The dinner was filled with fries, huge chunks of turkey breast & ham, cocktail sausages & was extremely filling & delicious. A nice big pot of tea to finish. Service was quick, efficient & friendly. It was a bit cold in the restaurant. Maybe if the fire was lit it would help. Overall a great lunch & we’re going to book an evening meal as their menu is extensive & reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Ballyrobin is a lovely relaxing home from home hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We have spent different weekends here and it's so tranquill and relaxing. Ting and her team are simply the best.

Classy place mediocre food. Food quality more suited to a “fast food restaurant” Chicken dishes all goujons in disguise in our experience. Chips tired & dry. Gammon dry & so tough I could not cut it. My expectations were higher for this lovely venue.

We called for dinner on Sunday 9/7/23 for at 7pm and had pre booked for our party of four. Having dined here a number of years ago I had recommended the restaurant to our group and unfortunately lived to regret it. This was not simply an underwhelming experience it was a poor one. The restaurant was untidy, dirty and smelt like a greasy spoon. . We were seated in a large room adjacent to a large sun room. There was absolutely nothing appealing about the room and we were tortured with flies and bluebottles and when we drew this to the attention of the staff their suggestion was that they would close the conservatory windows. The food was very poor. Two of our party had a turkey and ham stack as there were insufficient ingredients remaining for a roast dinner. This was edible.. just One person had fish which was coated in a heavy thick batter and the other person had a chicken dish. Not one of the plates s had any salad or veg garnish. The bill when it arrived did not match the transport cafe experience.

Terrible food and awful service.Food was cold and undercooked, stale leftovers for an Asian slaw. Went for lunch today with friends and had an enjoyable meal. There is a reasonable choice on the menu and all our courses were decent quality. Service was good and pleasant surroundings though the decor is a bit tired looking

The coffee and scones were really good. I have to say though that they could do more with the appearance of the place. Theres shabby chic and then theres just plain shabby. I had been before and it was good but I think it has run down in its appearance unfortunately.

Ate here twice on a recent visit to Northern Ireland. It was excellent value for money and the service was really good. The evening menu is varied and caters for all tastes. I had a roast dinner and pavlova for dessert. Good sized portions. Everyone enjoyed the meal. I returned for breakfast with friends and everyone enjoyed the Ulster breakfast. Again a good selection. Well, WOW what fantastic service I received from my recent stay at Ballyrobin Country Lodge.

Lovely large room, king size bed, superb staff, terrific food. We were there on a package to attend The Open Championship at Portrush and met wonderful people at the hotel and that made it even better.

The staff were very friendly & made you feel at home. Our dinner was amazing!! It was cool to eat and see the planes coming in for a landing. The airplanes were not bothersome at all noise wise.

Having been passed Ballyrobin so many times on our way to and from the airport over the years it was finally give it a go before flying out recently. The eateries at the airport are (as with many airports) comfortable above average pricing for the what they offer and equally as comfortably below average in terms of quality, so a change of plan was long overdue.

Haven't been for a while as hit and miss in the past for food but decided to call for Sunday lunch. Nice sunny day and we sat in the conservatory. Food was nice. I had the goats cheese starter followed by chicken supreme and bakewell tart for dessert. Staff were lovely.

We were there for dinner. All for of us were very pleased with what we got. We ordered burger, lasagne and feathered steak. Everything was top of the line. Straff could have had more knowledge about the beer they had, but that didn´t really matter that much. I can really recommend this place for dinner.

We ate in here as we were staying at the lodge. Our steaks were cooked to our liking. Garlic fries werent on the menu with steak, but i requested them and they made them for me. Good size portions, great value for money, homely atmosphere and very pleasant staff..will call again soon

Last May we stayed in this place as we were going abroad early next day and it was close to the airport. We decided to eat in the restaurant as we had heard great reviews. I ordered sausage and mash in a gravy. Well it was a swimming mess and tasteless and I couldn't eat it. So decided to have the cheese board as I was hungry, (it was £8) Well, it was unbelievable, mouldy, hard, tasteless, pieces of cheese, all the same, just cut in different shapes, no biscuits, no knife and I think two grapes, but I couldn't be sure!! WON'T BE BACK.

it was really good, attentive staff and the rooms were clean and exactly what you needed. the bar is a proper pub, locals are eating and drinking and there is a tremendous atmosphere

Stayed here for 1 night as our daughter had bought us for a Christmas gift,and it was such a lovely relaxed and pleasant experience. The room looked onto the runway at international airport but we werent bothered by the frequent flights due to really good triple? Glazing. The room was comfortable and clean and tastefully decorated throughout...especially the bathroom! All the little extras were a nice touch too! But the best part was the food! Gorgeous AND fresh! Such enormous portions!!! Avril at reception was very friendly and courteous an asset to the hotel

Refused to serve us coffee at 11:20 am!!! We had checked their website & decided to call in en route to the airport for their coffee & croissant offer. We were confronted with a very unfriendly lady who had to go and check, them returned and said it was too late to serve coffee and they were extremely busy. Another girl appeared to confirm this. They also said that their website stated they stopped serving breakfast & coffee at 11am, which it did not! As we left we looked into the restaurant & annex to see only 2 couples sitting there!! Rediculous!! Ever heard of “elevenses”??

I have had two separate meals here, one a few years ago, and Christmas lunch recently. I have to say that the difference in both food and level of service is night and day. The food and service on my recent trip was outstanding.

We went for a Sunday lunch, the service is average, the staff didn’t seem very interested which leads to not a great atmosphere. The food is not great for the price, I had the Brie starter, a huge bit of Brie and one small piece of bread, the turkey main was not good and not worth the money. I won’t be back.

Stopped off for lunch with some work colleagues and had a nice turkey & ham meal. Didn't feel too 'mass-produced even though it was a traditional turkey & ham meal in the run-up to Christmas. Would certainly entertain the possibility of a return.

Often stop off here for a breakfast or lunch snack before heading for the airport food especially the Fry is very good and far more reasonably priced than the overpriced chucked at ya food served in the airport

Orders taken incorrectly, very slow service and bill appears to have been taken on individual items not set Sunday menu prices for courses.

Stopped off for dinner. Have regularly dined here. My wife ordered fish but when it arrived it was quite cool and couldn’t be eaten. Eventually it was sent back to the kitchen only go make a reappearance this time a bit warmer. I did raise this matter with the staff but the best they could do was agree it was a shame the fish was cold. Not the best way to engender good customer relations. It will be a while before we return.

I like this restaurant, it is dimly lit and has lots of windows to look out of seeing the aircraft coming into land at the airport.

Stopped off on way to airport for a quick lunch with my mum and dad, not one to complain as you can see from my other reviews but the lunch was awful, myself and my dad opted for the ham and cheese panini, very salty with hard bread to bite into we both left the Second half of the panini untouched, the salad was covered in a sauce that left a weird taste in your mouth. We didn’t complain as we didn’t have any time but both plates were barely touched except for the half panini we tried to eat. Took quite a while for our orders to be taken and the food to come which made us pretty anxious as we were off to catch a flight. the staff were friendly but I wouldn’t be in a rush to return anytime soon.

Been here for meals many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed until today.....I had placed a reservation one week prior to our arrival stating that it was a celebration and could I leave balloons up to be out on the table,no problems with that they were very obligingly left the balloons up that morning with no issues....when we arrived at our time of reservation the guy took us into the restaurant and said which table would you like, much to my disgust no balloons....went to the bar staff and asked where my balloons were and they were clueless,very disappointed as this was my sons birthday and he had just got married 2 days before....quality of food was poor and service was even worse,won’t be going back here any time soon

I was hours early for my flight and decided to stop here for a late lunch. Delightful open prawn salad with a generous lemon wedge and soda bread. Delicious. Belfast International Airport seems to have turned into a soul-sapping hell-hole, crowded, noisy and smelly. Well worth doing your dining at the Ballyrobin Inn instead of wasting money there.

Having dined here several times before I was more than happy to come back for the 2 course sunday lunch to celibrate a family birthday. Big mistake! Despite there only being only 2 other tables dining the first course took an eternity to arrive .I could have forgiven this but the garlic bread was so burnt that the 7 yr old child it was ordered for refused to eat it, (although i ate a piece of it after picking off the burnt bits! ) There then followed another eternity for the main course to arrive but i suppose this could be explained by the time it took to do the chicken gougons which were so overcooked and tough that they could easily have doubled as shoe leather-inedible.At no point did the waiting staff approach to ask if everything was ok. The roast beef could at best be described as average, I had the pork which was fine. On a positive the portions were very generous.
