Hi went there an had a good time ,but went on a Saturday night with my wife and sister in law for dinner booked in for 7pm ,slight delay in getting table ,given menu promptly and give orders for main course,but after 1 hour and half hours still had not receive them ,by this time on second drink when we were informed that there was a problem with the gas ,and they hope to have the main course coming out soon waited another half hour for it to come best thing I eat that night was the garlic potatoes after finished meal went to pay staff said sorry for the delay ,but show poor customer service by not even offer to compensate us for the delay as took two hours for three main courses,will not be back

We held a funeral tea here today 25th. Seaneen was so helpful both today and when booking. The food was excellent and the staff all very pleasant. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Seaneen and staff for looking after us so well. It was very much appreciated.

Thought the bar man was very rude but everyone else was nice and polite. Asked for ID and sighed saying he couldn’t read it

Poorest service I have eve had in a golf club. Staff spent more time talking to each other than looking after the customers. Asked twice for menus and after another 15m wait asked again for someone to take a food order. Was given a price for 4 starters as we now did not have the time to wait any longer and then was charged £7 each for salted chilli and chicken with 5 to 6 bits of chicken on each plate after being quoted £5 each and an extra £2 for the hot pot with mussels. Couldnt leave fast enough. The family opposite were having similar problems trying to get drinks ordered.

Firstl night out after lockdown, my husband and I decided to visit golf club . It used to be one of our favourite places. But have had a couple of disappointing visits. But on Wednesday 12 th Aug. we booked a table . Pleasant young girl showed us to our table,gave us a menu each . Another member of staff came for our order, I started to place my order and was very abruptly told that menu was off. I explained that was the menu given , suddenly the menu was snapped out of my hand and the member was in my face ,stating it said the menu was available until 4.30 pm. I immediately put my hand up to force her back out of my face. No social distance there. I stated that was menu given to me . I was informed the she was manageress and should know. I just wanted to disappear out of this place, but had come out to enjoy ourselves. I politely placed my order, when my meal arrived I noticed a large hair wrapped around my chips, I informed the very rude manageress, who removed the side order, and replaced it later. Wa - I received 10% off my bill for the mishap. I will NEVER be back in this restaurant,and I could not recommend it either. I also noticed that the tables were being cleaned with a W5 wipe, that included the chairs and table, I would expect the furniture to be properly cleaned , oweing to the current situation.

Great staff and fantastic food and very well priced , a hidden gem love going here for family ocasions

Outstanding food and service at reasonable prices. Extended family of 7 visited and we were looked after extremely well by attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food was piping hot, plentiful and tasty. One not to be overlooked.

Hadn’t been to play here for about 10 years and I forgot how good the place is. Fantastic big clubhouse with great facilities, and a course that suits varying degrees of ability. Very friendly staff and members as well as a great selection of food on offer. Make sure you are hungry when you order as portions are very generous as well

Just back from a great weekend golfing in Ballyclare. Played Ballyclare GC twice. Lovely lay out, good condition, excellent food and very helpful and friendly staff.

We had a beautiful meal for Mothers Day in a lovely surroundings.i had Hadock on a bed of cabbage delicious.

This popular resturant is open to members and non-members. We have been there before, and again the meas were not disappointing. It was quickly served by friendly staff. A good selection of options on the menu. Recommended, but do book, just in case.

We had another great meal here on Saturday evening. I wouldn’t normally order a sirloin steak but I did on Saturday it melted in my mouth and it was well done as this is my preference!! The service was quick efficient and all staff were very friendly.

Lovely setting with a fantastic view. Menu was ample with plenty of choices. Something for everyone. Food arrived quickly and was packed with flavour and was a generous portion but not overdone with I like as I hate food waste. We all got different things from the menu and were served at the same time. Had mains and deserts and sent back empty plates after both courses. Can’t wait to come back. Friendly and helpful staff and locals. Good wine also added to the wonderful afternoon

Great meal and service with friendly staff. We had 22 there and all were happy. Everything came out warm and fast, bar staff were also friendly and efficient. Prices good with many options.

Had a Friday lunch here. We are not golfers just thought it would be a change of scenery. Great food, good variety and good service. Wine selection was average. Would eat there again.

Have eaten here many times, the food is always good, nicely presented and served by pleasant staff. Week days they have a buy one meal get one free. Great for families or birthday celebration. Restaurant has nice view over the golf course and of course drinks are less expensive than a typical bar.

Visited on a Friday afternoon. Food was surprisingly good and plentiful. Views are great if you eat in the restaurant so I'm not sure about the bar. You have the choice to eat in either the bar or restaurant. Food came fast and a cheeky lunchtime glass of pinot grigio was just what you need.

Booked a meal for a birthday treat having had the Golf Club highly recommended. Meals were very good. Despite serving for 16 people it all arrived on time. Meals were hot and the service by the staff was second to none. Very enjoyable experience by all. Highly recommended for large parties of people. Not one of us had any complaints.

There were 4 of us here for a meal on Saturday evening. We all ordered a different meal and all four meals were perfect. The service was excellent all staff were efficient and pleasant. The flavours of the meals were delicious we all cleared our plates. The quantity of food was also very good.

We always pre-book. sometimes there are 3 of us and sometimes there are 7 of us. We found this gem of a restaurant (also called Collinview Restaurant) about a year ago and have been regulars ever since. My mum is coeliac and they ALWAYS cater for her - just MAKE SURE to tell the person who takes your order if you have an dietary needs. My mum would be VERY ill if she ate anything with wheat or gluten in it and this restaurant have always been very careful and advised her as to what she can eat. We LOVE the sizzling salmon and I nearly always have the turkey dinner with all the trimmings - for ONLY £13!! The food is always made fresh and served quickly so that the food stays hot. We never have room for a starter or main course, so I can't comment on them. The staff are VERY attentive and helpful. When you arrive to the golf club bar area they take your name if you booked and give you menus and you take a seat. Then someone comes out 10-15 minutes later to take your order. Then they take the order to the kitchen and when the food is ready, they come to the golf club bar and ask you to sit at a designated table in their restaurant - which is VERY clean and has GREAT views of the beautiful golf course - then they serve the food literally when you are seated. Highly recommend. They sometimes do two for one dinners - set menu and set nights - check before booking.

My mum, dad and I are "regulars" now to the Collinview Restaurant in Ballyclare (at the Ballyclare Golf Club).... and here's why. The food is ALWAYS of high quality, the staff are attentive and the surroundings of the golf course are just BEAUTIFUL! The food is not only HOT, but can be made for coeliacs (wheat and gluten intolerance) which my mum is. They are VERY careful about this and VERY helpful to my mum. All their chips / roast spuds etc are wheat and gluten free - so there is no possible cause for contamination. Their food is fresh, hot, brought promptly to the table and the lovely people who bring it to the table even come back to check it is ok and that you have everything you need. The restaurant itself is always SPOTLESS. I would advise booking though as it can be busy (we go on a Sunday lunchtime). You arrive at a room with the bar to sit and someone takes your order, then when your food is ready they come and get you and bring you in to your table, then go straight to the kitchen to get your food. So you are always comfortable while you wait and the wait is NOT excessive as the food is fresh and hot. We highly recommend it :)

Had a double birthday meal here last night with my family. Thursday night is steak night. Steak was excellent. Staff were good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Good choice of meals. Great value for money. Wasn't overly busy which suited us.

Friendly staff, good food and reasonably prices, good for a visit, Catherine had the toasted sandwich and of course I had the fry, sitting looking out the panoramic windows watching people flogging a little ball to death lol relaxing time

My family of 15 went to the restaurant on new years day, everyone was well catered for everyone enjoyed their meals, just a little disappointed they changed the menu we used to love the older menu a few were going to order steaks, me and my mum thought the roast beef was cut a little bit thick! Over all the food was lovely thanks for giving us a nice family night.

Mi marido y yo comimos aquí el sábado por la noche pasado y puedo decir que es un muy, muy largo tiempo ya que hemos tenido una comida decepcionante. Habíamos oído gente diciendo sobre este restaurante era tan pensamos que lo ve, todo lo que puedo decir sin duda no volvería. El personal no es muy amable, no cualquiera pregunta si la comida estaba bien y realmente me puso en sí mismo justo, después de todo es que mantiene a estas personas en un trabajo.

We had a meal here on Saturday evening. Couldn't fault the flavours or quality but my husband & son both had a 12oz sirloin steak & it looked more like a 8oz. My son had to get a pizza on the way home!! On Tuesday evening we had a meal in the Down Royal Golf club and they ordered 12 oz sirloin steaks the difference was very noticeable!! I had the piri piri chicken which was lovely I was able to eat it all which is very unusual for me. My son had pavlova and I have never seen a smaller portion! He had it eaten in 4 bites!! The prices were the same as Down royal but unfortunately the quantity left a lot to be questioned.

Went to restaurant after a recommendation. Thought we would go for Turkey and Ham - was very disappointed to discover the stuffing was out of a packet and the chips were frozen not what I would have expected from somewhere that does weddings as well as restaurant dining and bar food

Había 20 de nosotros aquí ayer, domingo 11 de julio, para sorpresa de cumpleaños de mi primo. Desde el principio hasta el final, el personal era maravilloso. Nuestra mesa estaba reservada para las 4:00 y como de costumbre siempre hay alguien atrasados pero el personal nunca nos metió prisa o nos hicieron sentir como si tuviera que darse prisa y orden en que necesitaba de las mesas, incluso después de haber terminado todo y nos sentamos hablando nos dejaron entrar, nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. La comida era absolutamente encantador, un menú fijo los domingos de una comida de 3 platos, con un montón de opciones, desde cordero, ternera asada, sobresaliente, todo el mundo de nosotros, etc. Disfrutamos, incluso el menú infantil fue todo un éxito con los wee. Luego trajo a la tarta de cumpleaños y le cantaron feliz cumpleaños y cortar así todo el mundo podía conseguir un trozo pero después de comer una comida tan maravillosa que todos estábamos a comer pastel. Nada era demasiada molestia para ellos, el personal, desde el barman hasta los camareros son de lo mejor que he visto en un restaurante en un largo tiempo, amable, educado y son geniales con los clientes. Yo recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera. No puedo esperar a volver.

Had Lunch here today and what can i say other than this place is a hidden gem.Ordered the Club Burger and was not disappointed cooked to perfection and the tobacco onions melted in your mouth. Def one of the nicest burgers i have had in a long time.The ambience in the restaurant is very relaxed with excellent views over the golf course.The Staff were outstanding with their customer service and well groomed and polite.

Superb golf course, great atmosphere, food and drink. Very popular place! Used to be a member and would love to be again!

Good range on menu. All very good and the fry is very tasty. Would prefer "real" chips but overall good value and quality. Staff very attentive and on a sunny evening very relaxing. Would say it is one of the best places to eat in Ballyclare.

This is a review of having attended a function (the illegals). My husband was the designated driver so was drinking non alcoholic beer. The price of this was the same as the standard bottled beer, which shouldn't be. Also they ran out of one brand of beer then proceeded to serve out of date bottles, it was hard for the staff to find beer that had a good best before date. They are not capable of running a function was these poor standards. I would think twice before considering going to a function in this venue

This is always a good place to go to. Lovely lunches, and special nights on during the week. Very friendly staff set in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

Pate .and haddock bon bons good .fillet steak really good chicken with parmam ham good frozen chips let's the whole thing down its so easy to make homemade

I would normally eat outside Ballyclare area as i didn't think anywhere was any good,that is until i visited the golf club.Arrived at restaurant & was greeted and taken to or seats,drinks order taken promptly along with food order.I ordered the three smoked fish platter my wife had the cream of celery soup & everyone else had ribs & spring rolls combo.All plates were cleared(tasty).Mains:all steaks(3m 1wd)perfect, blue cheese sauce nice.Pork & chicken dish finger licking.To many side dishes to mention ,overall a very nice meal all round. Food excellent service excellent value for money hard to beatWELL DONE

I went here with my fiancé, the staff were friendly and the food was very good and reasonably priced. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, the views from the restaurant are fantastic over looking the golf course, we sat watching the squirrels as we waited for our food to arrive. I would recommend you try this establishment in you're ever in Ballyclare you won't be disappointed.

Lovely food, plenty of choice and good value for money. If you want a good, tasty lunch or dinner where you come away full....then this a perfect choice. We have on several occasions in the past and aim to go again.

I recently came home from working on a luxury 5 star cruise liner with top chefs and cuisine served daily, decided to go for a relaxing meal with friends to Collinview restaurant at Ballyclare Golf Club to be met with excellent service and fine cuisine, I had the salmon and prawn teriyaki my friend had a steak with sides, it was absolutely delicious, I imagine the chefs and staff work very hard here to deliver this high quality service and food, I wholeheartedly recommend Collinview for a beautiful meal with equally beatiful scenery surrounding us, please visit yourself to enjoy this hidden gem.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish! Excellent value for money, had a lovely family meal for ten people recently and I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough from the creative modern yet also traditional menu, superb food in a homely and inviting restaurant to the superb views over ballyclare gold club but most importantly the welcome and hospitality of the staff was next to none and are an absolute credit to the restaurant and the Golf Club. We have already booked for next week!! If this restaurant was in Belfast they could easily easily double their very very reasonable prices for half their portion sizes! Couldn't recommend highly enough. Thank you for a lovely dining experience folks, from a very happy customer who can't wait to return.

I am highly apauled at the service tonight!! ((13/08/2015)). Rang up at 12:15 to book a table for 2 adults and a child, the woman on the phone didn't seem intreasted & hung up straight away. Arrived at 6:30 as my table was booked for quarter to 7, no one had any knowledge of this booking and I had to sot in the bar just over an hour before we were brought into the restaurant! Finally, 7:50 and dinner comes out, kids meal first understandable, then my friend's (with out the sides) then my steak with a tottaly different topping that I had asked for, all the sides came out at different times, first of my friend got hers then mine was brought out, wasn't the right one and my steak was near gone before the vegetables came out... Wasn't impressed that the waitresses new about this and I wasn't offered any money of or anything!!! I won't be back! As a birthday dinner that my friend had bought me I couldn't even enjoy it... Thanks alot!! The only reason your getting any star is because I have to...

Went up on Friday night for dinner with my wife and after hearing good reviews, but I don't know what the fuss is all about, the food in my eyes is below average, presentation from the 80's, the mash potato was lumpy and very dry and the chips looked and tasted like they were frozen, mediocre roof in this day and age

Haven't ate here before totally impressed at the quality and taste of the 3 course lunch and the service.. Just around the corner but never thought of it before

Fabulous steak night with sides and Stilton sauce. Very good value and excellent staff. Have been a few times and never disappointed.

The Golf club not your first thought for a meal well it should. Food is excellent and Kevin and his team from kitchen staff to floor staff all work hard to make your meal enjoyable. Food is first class and reasonably priced good selection and nothing to much bother. Children are welcomed and catered for. Unlike some other establishments. To find the quality of food and service is great no need to travel to Belfast when it's on the door step. Give it a try you will be surprised

This is the 2nd time we've visited Collinview Restaurant in Ballyclare Golf Club in the last 2 months, the food and service has been great both times, my boyfriend got a steak (steak night specials I believe mon-thur) and I got a chicken dish both meals were lovely and well cooked, plenty of staff and restaurant quite busy for a Wednesday night, we will definitely be back

pretty much any of the dishes on offer id recommend. been here with family and friends a few times and it never disappoints

The golf club restaurant is maybe not as posh as you would expect but it very clean and spaceous with decent decor.The grub is very nice with a decent menu at a very affordable price. Ive also been to function here which i thought were quite good and the drink wasnt to expensive.I would have gave the restaurant top marks but for the fact you dont get treated as well as the members. You may have to wait a while to be taken into the restaurant from the bar area and on occasion ive had to leave as hunger got the better of me. Other than that its a nice place.

Me and my wife had stop for bite to eat on Thursday night, we had two 10oz fillets, tobacco onions, galic potatoes, veg and pepper sauce. The service and food was excellent. We will be back. Price, service and food 10/10

went to ballyclare golfclub for christmas dinner from start to finish everything was lovely the staff so friendly and the food was out of this world for a christmas dinner my family and i went back in january and as expected staff coulden do enough for us . we all had steaks apart from my mother who had salmon the steaks came with all the trimming and were cooked to prefection my mother said it was the nicest salmon she ever tasted we all had desserts which were to die for i would give ballyclare 5 stars and its now my best place to eat have booked another family meal for febuary and we know we wont be disapointed .

From the minute we walked into the bar we were greeted by the restaurant manager seaneen who was very polite and took us to our table in the restaurant. The menu was so hard to choose from as there was so much to choose from. I have to say we weren't disappointed with what we all ordered. The starters was lovely and the main was to die for. We even made room for deserts as we couldn't not after the mouth watering menu. And a big thanks to the chef who done these as the presentation off these was unbelievable. The staff were lovely and all very well presented. Been here before many times and food always stunning. Looking forward to our next visit as always.

We have always found this club a great place to eat and no matter what time of the day it has been tasty and served by friendly staff. Menu is large and varied and specials are always great too.We would usually book especially at weekends when it can be busy.

6 of us were there for a family meal recently on a Saturday evening. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the menu choices were very good.

We went for my sons birthday and there were 9 of us. It was half an hour before anyone took our order and this was at 4pm so not a really busy time. We went through eventually to be seated and when the starters came they had forgotten to make my sons so we had to start and were nearly finished by the time his came. The main course service wasn't much better as I had ordered for a child with only a burger on the plate. When it came out it had salad on it and had to be sent back. The potatoes were raw in the middle and the veg was hard. The garlic fries had large chunks or raw garlic mixed in which was horrible. When we told staff they just said complain to the boss and did nothing. Dessert was a disaster. Came out one by one with 5 minute intervals and obviously being defrosted and heated in the microwave with the wrong sort of cream/icecream on the plates. My daughter had to send hers back as it was rock hard and my sisters Pavlova was just a portion of egg white...no cream and no crunchy outside. We sent these two back. When I went to pay they had changed me for the two desserts which were sent back. I was told to go into the kitchen to speak to the chef Kevin. Your attitude towards customers stinks. You were extremely rude and blamed me for not telling you when that was your staffs job! You are very lucky I paid anything after the way you spoke to me. I AM THE CUSTOMER WHO DESERVES A LITTLE RESPECT AND CUSTOMER CARE!!!! I will not be back and nor will any of my family or friends.

Ok, was there at Christmas & restaurants dont always show off their best, conversely this is a time to show off what you can do to people who ordinarily wouldn't come to your establishment. Food tasted just ok but looked as if it had been prepared elsewhere & transported to the Golf club. Decor was good tho' & bar prices average. The carpark was dark & dismal. I note also the Captain takes precedence over those with disabilities as far as parking is concerned.

I haven't visited in a while but I was very happy with the food and service and well priced for both will definitely return although the quantity is less than it used to be ok for me but may not be for a man

Very nice course. Rolling hills with ponds and some interesting holes. Nice clubhouse with nar and restaurant facilities. Food is great. People very friendly.

Seven of us ate here last Friday evening for a family get together. Our main courses were turkey and ham - an old family favourite, duck, chicken and cod. Some of us also consumed a few pints of Guinness, purely for medicinal reasons. I must say the quality of the food was very good and excellent value for money. Many of the mains were only £9.00. Service was also extremely good - food serven with a smile and without any delays. The only criticism I would have of the restaurant was the temperature. I was seated beside a radiator that was turned off. This was my first visit to the restaurant - It won't be my last.

Visited the Golf Club recently for a family sunday lunch having their £13.93 priced 3 course sunday lunch. A wide variety of starters and main courses available to suit most tastes and with option of upgrading to a ribeye steak for an extra 4.50, and after seeing the size of the steak that came out topped with onion rings, it looked well worth the upgrade (disappointed i didnt get it!) but our meals were lovely. Would maybe have liked a bit more variety on the desserts available but all in all, a great and filling sunday lunch for the price.

Challenging private members course with greens that were very good. Well kept and tidy. Some long par fours.

We used to go here regularly, and it was very good, but hadn't been in about a year. Very disappointed with the meal and service this time round. We were a group of 18 - all starters and meals per ordered - starters arrived - I had the smoked salmon and prawn seafood - not great - looked good but very very bland and had obviously been made up well in advance as the bread below the prawns was very soggy :( Next they brought out the mains - many had ordered steaks - well done - waitress arrived out saying medium well, we all said no. She stroped of muttering and by the time she had got to the kitchen entrance it was clear from her body language she was 'discussing' us with the other waiter! Another waitress appeared 5 minutes later with the same steaks saying steaks well done! They hadn't moved as they had pepper sauce all over them! Ok, so steaks were cooked ok, but cold!!! Mine was full of gristle and fat - I couldn't eat it:( - the other steaks served were ok, but mine was not edible! Mash was tasteless, appeared watery and very bland, even with added salt and pepper! Not good at all.Veg and chips were fine. Waitress came to collect the plates - I commented that I wasn't happy with the steak, it was left for the chef to see - she said I should have said earlier, I said nobody had come to the table to ask if everything was ok - she said she did, but I clearly did not see/hear this - I had tried several times to get their attention, but 5 of them were stood chatting at the kitchen entrance throughout our meal and did not approach us after all the god had been served. I was offered another steak, but as everyone was already finished it was too late, I would not sit alone eating holding everyone back. Another waitress then returned and gave apologies from the chef, accepting the steak was very fatty and removed the cost from the bill. Deserts were good. Overall experience not good! Service was inexperienced - I appreciate employing 16 year olds and have no problem with that, but there should really be a senior person supervising. I do not recommend dining here and do not plan to return.

As a member of this golf club I took 2 friends here for a meal having eaten here on several occasions. We were not disappointed! We had prawn cocktail or stuffed mushrooms for starters. They were imaginatively presented and very tasty.All 3 of us had an excellent fillet steak, each cooked perfectly and served with a delicious sauce. We had a selection of potatoes and some vegetables.Both of my friends said that the meal was very good and exceeded their expectations. The prices were not exhorbitant, unlike some places in which we have eaten.I have read reviews in which some larger parties felt they were disappointed in the food they were served. I'll say again - We were not disappointed!

A little disappointed found a hair in my food and not dealt with very well by staff even though I didn't make a fuss

Visited this restaurant for a 50th birthday meal there was about 24 of us so we had all preordered our meals and starters etc. I had heard lots of good reports about this restaurant but i felt a bit let down as my meal was a bit cold and the veg came out about 10mins after our meal in dribs and drabs i had the jerk chicken which kind of lacked flavour my hubby had the chicken maryland which was dry, i think they need staff who are maybe a bit more interrested (i know they where only young and this is a part time job thing) but they never came near us to ask if everything was ok otherwise i would have said about my dinner not being very warm. This could be a very nice place to eat but a few things need looking at.
