Baileys 2 - Coffee and Tearooms in St Edmundsbury

Bailey's 2 superb standard of food and service as always!. I went with three friends, two who hadn't been before who really enjoyed their experience. Thank you all.

So love coming here on the few times I come to Bury. The food is great. I can get gluten free and dairy free and service us always with a smile

Cosy cafe in a quiet street always populat with locals.

This place is amazing, nothing is ever too much of an issue. Their menu is vast yet innovative whilst catering for both young and old palates. They cater well for allergies. The Welsh rare bit was amazing.

Love love love Baileys 2. Always a warm welcome and is a fave with my family and friends. Had a dreamy cooked breakfast with my dad...and have just arranged a lunch date with my friends for Saturday 🧡

We will not go anywhere else for lunch/brunch. Fabulous food, great service and reasonable costs. Sometimes you have to wait for a table but well worth it.

Great place. Always friendly service, food is delicious and good atmosphere. Been going there for some time. Went there today, 11 Dec, had sandwich which was so huge had to bring half home with me. Also recommended trying the steamed milk with added syrup, I had gingerbread, was delicious 😋

we use to love going to Baileys for lunch, but after are last visit we came away very disappointed as my sister is gluten free and her toastie came out it was so small there was only room for one rash of back , it was like half of are toasties .we asked why is it so small , they replied you can have a jacket potato, why should my sister have to give up having a toastie, like she all way have done and enjoy having the same as us , Had to pay for a second one or she would stay hungry, there was 3 of us eating and a 20 mouth child that is not ready to eat there meals, but they kept asking if the child wanted anything and I was not happy about that ether

Food very nice. Lovely and homemade. I look forward to trying the lunch menu Flat white was a joke. Still didn't get it right after 2 times. Apparently they were training someone

I had to order the gluten free option and my serving was half the size of my family member and when I complained I was told it was because of the size of bread they could source and that it was coming too popular for people to choose the gluten free option.

Thank you for having us today, my family and I had the most lovely lunch with you. The reviews were all true… excellent service, cosy surroundings and the food and drinks were excellent.

Every morning since I have been in Bury st. Edmunds I have walked to Bailey's to get a coffee. Delicious vanilla lattes. I wish I could take this restraunt back to the USA with me! Highly recommend. They are also very reasonably priced which is a bonus ontop of the deliciousness. Thank you for making my mornings here in the UK brighter.

Lovely cafe to have lunch, the homemade soup was delicious & the fresh bread sandwich was generously filled so very good value for money, we will definitely revisit.

Unassuming frontage hides a gem of a cafe. Extensive menu of sandwiches, toasties and breakfasts (to 11.00), prepared quickly. Excellent quality and choice. Highly recommended.

Amazing food, service and setting.

First time visiting... popped in for drinks, but such a huge selection of sandwiches, ended up having a late lunch instead! Staff were very friendly and attentive, and food came out of the kitchen really quickly despite it being busy. Our sandwiches were great, and my flat white was as near perfect as you can get. Will definitely go back when next in the area.

We went back to baileys after being there for lunch a few weeks ago …. This time for lunch. Arrived and had to wait about 5mins for a table, but as before worth the wait! Lovely fresh food, presented and tasty sandwiches and toasties. Young team of front of house staff supported by the kitchen delivering food promptly! Well done everyone!

Have been a few times , always sat at the front of bistro, this time sat in back room , food is always really good ! Just wanted to say a big big thank you to Lou & dean ? for going that extra extra mile to help my unwell friend , husband & wife team really handled a situation so well , it’s so reaffirming there is some really caring nice people, even though they painstakingly tried to get help from emergency services….. would have been a 4 hr wait in the bistro for emergency services to come !, so the husband & wife really really helped & continued…. Excellent!

The perfect spot for a sandwich in town - always busy though so be prepared to queue! Reasonably priced and incredibly reliable, lots of choice on the menu and service is fab.

We visited the cafe for a relaxed late brunch. ,for my Birthday . Very helpful staff, food was very well presented and tasty. Real credit to kitchen and all. Not rushed and a pleasant environment...

I’ve come here so many times over the years as it’s my mums favourite place in Bury! It never disappoints, always a lovely experience here. The food is always delicious and you can tell it’s made with love and care. All the staff here are so lovely too!

Fantastic value.. shame about the 30 minute wait to get a table, however it was half term week.

The food here is very good, as is the service, but people constantly coming in to queue and leaving the door open in the winter can be annoying and the staff do nothing about it. I think there should be queuing further in the cafe and a necessary porch made inside to keep draughts out. The waitresses are all pleasant, but the woman who appears to be in charge is often a little sour. !

We visit here whenever we go to Bury St Edmunds (if we can get in!) and as usual on Monday we had great service and wonderful food.

First time in Baileys 2 and well worth a stop off on spec as I saw a friend in there. Nice coffees of course, lovely scone, look forward to a return to try the menu further. Friendly and attentive staff, nice ambience, good range of ages coming in the door is always a good sign.

Haven't visited this place for maybe 2 years but fancied a decent breakfast. Clearly standards have not dropped as I was presented with a top class meal and a perfect ot of tea. A great start to the weekend.

Best Eggs Royale ever. Delicious poached eggs and amazing smoked salmon. Lovely granary toast. A popular place that began to fill up from opening at 9am. On leaving we bought two mince pies to take away. They were amazing and the best I have ever tasted. Ingenious baking. Cons - no fruit/herb teas but I had my own Pukka tbag and was given a pot and cup. Went in immediately it opened and the big room at the bag was a tad cold.

Really lovely food from friendly and efficient staff. I've had several toasties now and they've all been excellent. The whole place is nicely set up and is very clean. 4 stars seems low, especially for the food; 5 stars is maybe a bit high overall, though… if I could say 9/10, I would but regardless I definitely recommend it if you like this kind of place.

Came across this this cafe by chance when visiting the town. It is obviously well known as it was busy with contented looking customers. No empty table when we arrived but only had to wait 10 minutes for a table to become free. It was a busy lunchtime period. Table was clean. Prompt service with menus. Drinks came soon after placing our order. Snack of toasted fruit loaf was a few minutes later. Strawberry milk shake was thick with fruit. Fruit loaf was home made and tasted scrummy. Attentive, polite staff. Good and service were first class.

Baileys 2 is just the most amazing place to lunch with friends and family. Warm and friendly staff, always polite and attentive. Food is delicious made in house, local seasonal produce used. The soups are fabulous, well actually everything is fabulous. We have visited many times and have never been disappointed. Congratulations Dean and Lou.

We only had a toastie but it was excellent. Extensive menu for toasties and sandwiches. Great service too.

Went for a late lunch. Sandwiches and cake were perfectly nice. The problem was the service. When you arrive there’s a sign saying please wait to be seated. We waited for an uncomfortably long time while several members of staff saw us but didn’t acknowledge...

Great place for breakfast or lunch. The hot chocolate is amazing, and the cakes. We had a great curried carrot soup today but the sandwiches are lovely... and big!

Best Coffee shop in town. We are regular customers. Bailey’s have great service, team work, food and drinks. Such a cosy place. Also has seasonal decorations. We try somewhere else but no where compares with Bailey’s.

A local recommended Baileys 2 to me and my friend, and we went in for sandwiches, coffee and cake. The service was excellent, staff friendly, and the food was delicious. All ingredients were fresh, sandwiches were well-filled, plus excellent coffee and tasty chocolate fudge cake. Great atmosphere too.

Popped into this little gem on a visit to Bury. What a a find - very generous portion size, great choice and best of all, the food was delicious. We cannot fault our entire experience and will definitely make the round two hour trip to sample more of their menu. Definitely worth a visit.
