Babbo Glasgow in East Renfrewshire

This restaurant definitely became one of my favourite. I had their daily special spaghetti with mussels, prawns, calamari and monkfish which was absolutely delightful and a dish to die for. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and more helpful. They really go for that extra mile and beyond. The place went through some refurbishment and they got brand new toilets too.Can't wait to revisit again!

An awful experience at Banco. Mistake made with reservation, not very accommodating or apologetic. Table booked for 8.30 pm and we eventually ate sub-standard food at 10pm. Toilets out of service with only 1 toilet available for every customer in the restaurant. Queue quickly formed, no social distancing and it wasn’t cleaned once during our visit. No track or trace details taken and no extra measures in place. Strongly advise supporting another local business if you fancy a night out.

We always try to support local restaurants but after a recent visit we will think twice about returning as the service was awful. Definitely poorly managed and very lacking in staff.

We really enjoy the food from Banco, we have eaten take away food from them many times throughout lockdown. We visited to eat in and the food was still fantastic, however the service was very slow. The staff were working very hard, but management had obviously not staffed up to provide a takeaway offering beside the restaurant offering. After 1 hour 20 mins we had had one drink and some bread. I think they need to rethink!

Was staying up the road at the Redhurst where they well and truly mucked up our dinner.So at literally 9.28 we stumbled across Banco and asked if they did take away.Even though the kitchen closed at 9.30 the lovely team made us 2 pizzas and fries to take back to the Redhurst.The food was lovely and every member of the team were amazing.100% recommend heading here and we will be back to sit in for drinks and dinner.Brilliant customer service.Thanks again guys x

I’d like to thank all the staff involved I delivering a very tasty and enjoyable to us this evening. We were celebrating a birthday event and due to lockdown we were unable to meet up with our the family. I ordered meals to be delivered to two different addresses at the same time so we could all eat and get together via a FaceTime call. The staff at Banco were most helpful from booking through to the delivery of an excellent and tasty meal. I’m looking forward to time when we can actual go to the restaurant but until then Banco@Home offers a great service.

We are regulars to Banco when it is open for normal business, that is before the COVID-19 restrictions. The food, the service and the staff are all good reasons to give it a look. Fortunately they have put together a menu for takeaway, not easy for an Italian restaurant to pull off. We tried it last week and were thoroughly impressed with our food. In these difficult times I think it is important to support any local businesses we can, otherwise we might not see them when we emerge after the winter. The prices I think are highly competitive so give this place a try. We can recommend any pizza on the menu and the sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce are ice cream were most indulgent.

We visited as a family at the end of August with the Eat out to help out scheme but were really impressed by the food and service. They actually ran out of some puddings and chocolate sauce but more than compensated by taking all 5 deserts off our bill! Quality of pizza, veal and ragu was excellent. Will be back.

My friend and I had lunch here on Thursday and I would highly recommend it. It was a long overdue catch up so we were in the mood for lots of chat. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. We were made to feel so welcome and that there was no rush or bother at all. There is an a la carte and market menu (table d'hote). The a la carte has a wide choice. For me personally, it would be nice to see some more salad options, even if it was a caesar salad or a tune and bean option, but that is a small point when I then think about what we ate. We both chose from the market menu. I had minestrone soup - oh my!!! It was so fresh and light. Loads of vegetables cooked perfectly in a light broth with some beans. No gloopy, over cooked pasta swimming in a tomato bath, this was like an italian cockaleekie! delicious. My friend had scallops with black pudding - she loved it and it looked fab.For main, my friend had a burger and chips. She enjoyed. I had pasta toscana. The vegetables were al dente and delicious. Again, no overbearing tomato sauce but perfect balance of vegetables to pasta. I love asparagus so was completely won over by the amount in my dish. All so fresh.My friend finished off with ice cream and brownie. My coffee was great.Couple of small points, I'm not a fan of electric pepper mills. Just feels a bit naff. Not sure why Italian restaurants insist on peppering dishes rather than letting diners do it themselves. There was however small salt and pepper mills on the table so not sure why we were offered the ubiquitous Italian waiter ritual of peppering my dish. I only noticed once the electric option had been dispensed. Our second (told you it was a long over due catch up) bottle of wine wasn't chilled. We were happy to add ice (by bottle number 2 - who isn't?!?) but it was a wee bit shabby to have a warm bottle.These are honestly small points because I will be back in a heart beat. Already planning an excuse to take my husband and family.Delicious food and great service. A real gem in Giffnock.Thank you for a great afternoon.

First meal out for me and my husband since lockdown so was a bit apprehensive...no need!Everything was carried out to the highest standard and social distancing strictly observed.Staff were attentive and courteous and the food was delicious.Definitely wouldn't rule out a return visit in the near future.

We discovered this restaurant during lock down and had a couple of excellent home deliveries. Have since visited in person and the food and service were excellent.

We were regulars at Banco before lockdown and were saddened to see it close along with many other good dining places on the Southside. We had been using the takeaway service and it was great but even better to be back inside and eating good food cooked and served by lovely staff. Prices haven’t changed, the beer and wine is good and well priced. Let’s hope a lot of the old clientele return to get this and all the other restaurants back on their feet.

Just back from a fantastic meal at Banco. Lovely venue, staff exceptionally nice and helpful, food amazing and price really good. Thanks Morven and all the other staff - brilliant customer service! My husband had one of best veal milanese he has had - one of his favourite dishes. Liked the place so much we booked again for 5 days later. We will definitely be returning with friends and also other family members. Would highly recommend.

Dined here again on Saturday night and oh my... What an experience!The atmosphere was lovely, the waiters were unbelievably attentive and the star of the show has to be the food! We all ate different items off the menu and couldn't believe the quality and special details that went into each dish, I extremely enjoyed my "special" - the fish dish! Well worth it and I can't wait to try more of your one off dishes.. Infact probably the rest of the menu!Well done Banco.. It was a night we won't forget, this restaurant has definitely gone from "good to great" in my opinion

Came here for lunch with my friend and my two kids. The service was good but the food was very disappointing. My friend and I ordered the same - steak frites baguette with fries and my kids had pizza and chicken strips/fries. Not sure whether the chef had a lost sense of taste but our fries were extremely over-salted (actually inedible - had to order a fresh portion of fries for the table and specifically asked for no salt). Our steak frites baguettes and kids meals on the other hand, were extremely bland - no seasoning whatsoever! The starter was nice though - although could be attributed to the sweet chilli sauce which accompanied the vegetable tempura. For two adults and two kids, we paid £54 for a very disappointing meal. Won’t be returning.

Amazing food and friendly staff. Wanted to support a local business by staying local for first meal out after lockdown. Unfortunately the waiter serving us, and what looked like half the area of the restaurant, was not wearing a mask so made the experience uncomfortable and let the restaurant down. He had a mask on, but sitting on his chin completely under his mouth and nose. What’s the point?? As the waiting staff are the only people coming near you, they should absolutely have a mask of some type on. Won’t be back while current guidance in place.

Great to see this place reopened again. This was our first time eating out since lockdown so we stayed local. Food superb as before and lovely to see the staff all back again, service was excellent.Only disappointment was that one of the older guys I think one of the chefs who knew a lot of the customers went from table to table and I guess kitchens etc and never once wore a mask or a visor which is really unacceptable. I understand he is happy to see everyone but wear a mask it’s terrible.Very disappointing and left our group and I could see some others uncomfortable.No point in everyone else wearing PPE when this guy didn’t,we are all in it together,very selfish by him not to protect everyone else while he swans about with no mask for the evening. We arrived by taxi wearing masks, driver wore mask, all staff at banco wore masks apart from this very selfish chap. He needs to think of others. Would have been a 5 review but a 4 because of him, very silly no excuse. Easily sorted and then we will be back as it’s a great local place for a night out.

This place has been such a god send during lockdown. Have had a few meals delivered but most recently I had Chicken Milanese and my husband had the Sunday Roast. It was really delicious and great value for money. The staff are so friendly and welcoming (even whilst social distancing) Highly recommend for a high quality takeaway. I have and usually do dine in at Banco which is equally as amazing and look forward to coming back again soon!

We have had many takeaways over lockdown (all amazing - chicken Milanese is my favourite hands down! ) and we were so excited to see they had opened up their outside seating area we had to get our table booked! We arrived early evening & had both pizza & pasta with a few sides and of-course a wine or two, Perfect! They have some lovely tree’s outside for decoration & help with social distancing which makes you feel like you are on holiday (or was i just wishfully thinking of a beach somewhere)Great system & service to tackle social distancing & food was amazing. Can’t wait to come back & dine in the restaurant too.Thanks guys, keep up the good work

Ordered a takeaway and the food was fabulous. Amazing portions for the price and it came to our door piping hot. Can’t wait for the restaurant to open back up to get the full Banco experience. Highly recommend to everyone.

Ordered a take away on Saturday Night and the food was just as good as sitting in the restaurant! We ordered a couple of pizzas and the Gamberoni and Tex Mex pastas which were delicious and to top it all off with a Valentinis ice cream! I can highly recommend this restaurant for takeaway and I cannot wait for you guys to reopen!! Keep it up guys!

Food was worse than poor and had a strange smell , have had better dishes from a burger van. If you want to spend the next few days on the toilet then this is the place for you!Also the male manager is a liar , do not believe any of his responses in relation to these poor reviews. Customer service 0/10 will never be back.

Ordered from here last night and when the food came there was a strange smell coming from one of the pasta dishes, plastic item found in the same pasta dish, pizzas were bland but we ate them as we were starving and a few hours later we (5 of us) started being violently sick, continuing all through the night and this morning. Phoned the manager multiple times to chase this up as we spent £52, the manager was rude and very unhelpful and when my partner expressed his concerns of food poisoning the reply was ‘your not a doctor so you don’t know that it’s food poisoning’. No reimbursement was offered and we were basically told it’s too bad because they haven’t had any other complaints so nothing can be done. Very unimpressed and baffled at the shocking customer service we’ve received. Disgusting food and disgusting customer care, if I can give any advice it would be to not use this restaurant!

At last Banco has opened its doors for take away and not long before we can go back and dine inside. We had a fantastic pizza from here; spicy, thin base and tasty. We can wait for it to re-open for real, even with appropriate social distancing this will be a restaurant we return not long after they get the go-ahead.

We ordered from here on Saturday on just eat and were not disappointed. Both pasta dishes were fantastic (and good portions) and the chicken Milanese was just as good.Delivery was in under an hour and food was hot and ready to go.Well worth an online order at the current time.

We went here for a lovely meal, service was friendly, excellent we had the Sri Lankian curry and 2 Roast dinners, food was delicious beautifully present. Alway a pleasure to go here x

A lunch to celebrate a friend’s Birthday, one of the best meals ever!8 of us in the party all raves about the food.Several specials on as well as the standard menu, all the food was 1st class.I, personally, had not been for several years, Roberta and all the team made at Banco made it a great day, will be back very soon!!

Great service, choice and high standard of food, relaxing atmosphere, good GF choices (not for me but I always look for someone else and we’ll be coming back), 15 mins walk to Williamwood Station about same to Giffnock. Very pleased with suggested wine. Delighted to have found Banco - no hesitation in recommending.

Lovely family meal, great food & service only disappointment was their fabulous minestrone was not on as the Christmas menu was on. Would definitely recommend.

We went here for our anniversary and as usual the food was excellent. We like the wine selection and the service was just top quality. There are a good few Italian places to dine on the southside of Glasgow, we find it hard to better the standard that is produced here on our frequent visits.

Have eaten in this restaurant many times now and it never disappoints. The food is excellent and very tasty with a good variety and the staff always helpful and pleasant. The owner himself Roberto is very hands on either in the kitchen cooking or at front of house welcoming his guests. 4 of us last night working out at roughly £27 each for 3 courses and drinks!! Now that’s good going for Giffnock. Will be back at the end of the month for his Elvisio night there’s 11 of us!! Definitely a gem of a restaurant and definitely recommend a visit. P.s he’s now started a Sunday brunch menu. WIN WIN!!

First time visit but will be back.Husband ordered panko prawns which were very tasty but a little sparse (3 prawns) I had the bbq ribs which were amazing. The meat fell off the bone and the sauce with the chilli through it was to die for.The mains were fillet steak - done to perfection, and a goats cheese gluten free pizza - again the flavours were fantastic and the crispy base was perfect!Light desserts to finish consisted of affogato and passion fruit sorbet, again, the flavours were lovely. Gluten free options here are very varied and the waiters are very attentive.

For £10.95 you get a choice of a good number of starters or a dessert and a main course. This is pretty good value for money at lunch time and haven eaten here on a good number of occasions I can advise that the food is excellent. There are plenty of seats, I like the booths, they offer a little privacy but anywhere on the lower section once you are inside is good. I think the area towards the back is more for dining in the evening or functions. On this visit we opted for the sole mornay and the chicken Milanese, both were very tasty. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

Had another lovely lunch at Banco this month. As usual the food was well cooked and presented. Only observation would be a slight disappointment that they have removed the soft drinks offer and the really good value deal that was on for lunchtime. That said the prices were still reasonable and we enjoyed the meals.

Probably the best Foccacia pomodoro I've tasted plus exceptional antipasti. Looking forward to another visit to try their main course dishes. The manageress and her staff could not be more pleasant or helpful. Highly recommend either for a quick snack and refreshment as we had or a special night out as many people seemed to be having and enjoying themselves.

Been going to Banco for a while now. Family Celebrations or just popping in for a lunch. Service is always amazing and so friendly.

Returned here today for a quick lunch. First visit in a long time.Absolutely lovely Salsiccia Stew with excellent creamy mash. Focaccia light, herby with crispy salty crust.

We are beginning to make a bit of a habit of getting a pizza from Banco when we are a little lazy to cook. That said I think you will need to go a long way to get ones as good as are produced here. We are lucky as we stay really close and fresh out of the oven and still piping hot, it hard hard to find a single thing to criticise. We eat in the restaurant as well, it is top notch but we are loving the take out side of things as well.

Came for dinner with husband and 2 grown up children. Had the set menu which has plenty of choice and was not disappointed. Waiting staff very friendly and efficient despite the restaurant being very busy. Can recommend

We dropped in here at very short notice, not really expecting to get a table. Fortunately, we were dining early so Banco could accommodate us. We have eaten here many times and the food has always been good but sometimes because of staff issues the service has suffered. On this visit everything was perfect and the food was quite excellent. The restaurant was really busy, with a mix of casual diners and a birthday party of some description. It is big enough to accommodate all. If you are thinking about Italian, on the south side of Glasgow I would advocate a visit here.

Came here with a friend who regularly eats at Banco. Throughly enjoyed a tasty 2 course Italian meal, and found the whole experience a very pleasant one. Just sorry I don't live near or I would certainly visit again.

Have visited Banco several times over the past few years and never been disappointed, the others hadnt been before and loved the experience. Food and service outstanding. Lovely friendly atmosphere.

Went here as a party of six ladies to the owners fabulous Elvis tribute night

We have eaten here often over the last few months and been fairly satisfied. We went early for the “Beat the clock” menu. When we visited tonight we discovered this menu no longer existed and the name of the restaurant had changed. Exactly the same dish as previously ordered, several times, cost almost double because of the menu change. The food is ok, but not worth the higher prices. The website states that the owner has had to spend a great deal of money to change the name. We will not be helping him to recoup the cost - there are plenty of other restaurants in the area.

We arrived and were instantly treated dismissively by the host. We then asked if we could order from a deal advertised on the website but were told that the deal had ended. The deal is still displayed on the website and has no end date visible. The food was tasty enough however the portion size of the chicken milanese was very small. When we received the bill we had been overcharged and it took a long time to correct the obvious mistake even though the restaurant was not busy. Will not return.

Caught up with friends tonight. Haven’t been here for ages and the recent challenges in the media over the name brought it back to our attention.

The name change has not affected the menu or the staff as far as I can see. Everything was as before, the lunch menu which we had on this occasion was full of good choices, all at £6.95 for one course. We enjoyed the Italian Sausage stew and Chicken Milanese. Both were nicely served and very tasty. I have read some negative reviews recently and while everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I would still recommend a visit here for lunch.

I ended up visiting twice in the same week due to the handy proximity for us.

I was here for a family birthday meal for my Grandma’s 80th birthday .. it was a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy , had a brilliant atmosphere but service was still up to very good standard . I will definitely be back here and the staff were very friendly . I had the chicken burger with cheese and bacon with fries on the side , it was amazing .

This was a quick lunch so only ordered a main and a drink. Aribiatta with chicken was pretty average, sauce was bland. It wouldn't put me off trying again as I hear the teatime menu if very good.

My friend and I visited here, albeit the night after Valentine’s Day, so there were set menus for couples for Valentine’s Day still on tables, with hardly any couples in the restaurant. We were two female friends not really wanting a valentines menu, just some nice food and catch up. No other set menu choice like other restaurants in area so had to choose from A La Carte so the night turned out to be quite pricey. Not busy for a Friday night, I think if they put on a choice of a set menu for either 1 course or 2 courses, as well as A La Carte menu, more people would go. Staff were really nice though.

We ate here tonight. First observation is that it took a long time for someone to take our order. The waitress did not tell us what the specials were, they were written on a chalkboard -feedback is have the waiting staff tell the diners what the specials are.

Five of us headed here for the annual family lunch . The restaurant occupies a beautiful old bank building at Eastwood toll . The atmosphere is cosy with several booths for a bit of privacy or a more open table if you wish . We ate from the festive lunch menu and the a la carte as well , both were good value . The food was lovely burgers, pizza , spagbol , fish and lamb were all tasty and well presented . The fries came already heavily salted which was our only complaint . Drinks and coffees finished off a nice dining experience . A special mention to the waitresses who were both friendly and attentive . We would definitely recommend Babbo and will be returning soon .

We live in Giffnock, so this place is really handy for us so we decided to give it a try and it was great. The service was excellent and the food was amazing too, with nice beer on tap. Would highly recommend.

The group of 30 of us visited last night and we couldn't be happier with our visit. Not only was there great communication from the Team in the run up to our visit, but Claudio and his team were fabulous on the night and everyone commented on how great the meal was. We were all stuffed as the portion sizes for the main were excellent for a set menu and those who couldn't finish their pizza were delighted they could take it home! There was a bit of a delay for the desserts and they had run out of vanilla ice cream, but overall the staff coped admirably with such a large group. Roberto popped in and made the effort to personally come and thank me for our business, which was really nice of him. We felt very welcome here and the place itself is beautifully decorated.

I never thought I would find myself writing this as I have eaten at Babbo several times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. However tonight was a very bad night. Service slow, noise at an unacceptable level due to a birthday party for 22 sitting in our immediate vicinity whod been drinking for 5 hours, and food quality for one of us not up to scratch. Too many people, unable to cope especially with carryouts having to be fulfilled. It was birthday night but not all those who were celebrating felt the need to be loud. Ok they were out to enjoy themselves and you cant fault them for that - we have all been there- the issue was with the restaurant - they need a better solution for segregating those who want to be loud from those of us who want to celebrate in a more sedate way. There are acoustic firms that will look at noise containment; there are also health and safety issues for your customers and staff who have to endure the extreme noise of partygoers. It has been proven in Australia and USA about the damage to people working in such high db exposures. It is tantamount to sitting next to a lawnmower for 3 hours. Is that the experience you want for your regular customers? Also evidence to show people starting to prefer takeaways to having to sit in noisy restaurants- not good for the restaurant business I suspect and may explain why so many are shutting. Next time we want to have a quiet family dinner to celebrate a significant anniversary wed do well to send for Dominos at a fraction of the cost and at least we wont end up deaf and disappointed. For one of our party it was the first and last visit. Shame as I said because it’s not been my experience to date and Ive even purchased gift vouchers for friends citing what a great place it was. My sister will be rethinking that one as only today she was contemplating doing the same......

We have known about Baboo for some time but have only visited fairly recently for lunch and have been back for a second visit soon after, both times in a large family group. One thing that I have taken away after both visits is the friendly attitude and professionalism of the staff who were a huge factor in our enjoyment of both occasions. The menu is varied and should have something to please most people, it is also very reasonably priced. A new favourite for us in the area.

Four of us visited this restaurant on Monday one of which was a baby in a pushchair. From entering this restaurant to leaving the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive even the chef came round to check if everything was ok, always a nice touch I think. To start we shared a Pizza which had a beautiful thin crust base. My partner had one of the specials which was a Prawn dish with rice I had the Spaghetti with prawns and my daughter had a Chicken Ceaser salad all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its ambiance, the staff and most importantly the quality and value for money of their food

Went here for a last minute Friday night dinner without a reservation. We were seated straight away, drinks a little slow coming out, the early evening set menu is amazing value for money and the food was fantastic. The staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!!!

Went there with other members of the family for lunch. 8 of us in total having the lunch menu. Everyone was happy with what they had from what was a fairly good selection at reasonable prices, quality and portion size. Very pleasant staff and nice surroundings. A little bit warm due to the uncharacteristic weather but other than that a very pleasing lunch.

Went here tonight and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. 7adults +1child. Catered for everyone. Pizzas were very tasty and good options. Special sea bream salad was delishious. Staff were superb, friendly. good service.

Visited Babbo for my nephews 16th birthday and had a fantastic celebration. The service was faultless friendly and prompt. The food was delicious, shared anti pasta and the best steak frites I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant decor is lovely and on a hot evening it was cool and comfortable.

Saturday 23rd June 2018 we were party of 14 plus a young toddler in a highchair and we all enjoyed a two course meal . The staff were happy for us to come in early, before our booked time in order to "dress " the tables which had already been moved together for us. The waitress (so sorry I don't remember her name) was extremely helpful and obliging , even taking some group photos for us. The food was served promptly to all, which was very enjoyable , and they brought out the celebratory cake which we'd brought. They happily supplied us with a knife to cut cake and plates, napkins and spoons. All in all, a wonderful time had by all. Thanks Babbo, Giffnock and your staff !

We were here for a friend's family lunch. My soup and pasta dish were good, the service was courteous and prompt. Decor good and comfy seats!

Booked Babbo for 24 people to celebrate my Sisters 60th birthday. Communication with Morven and then Darren was fantastic. From the moment we arrived in the restaurant they just couldn't do enough for us. Food was FANTASTIC and the service was GREAT. My Sister had a marvelous night xx Just cant thank the staff enough nothing was a bother from setting the balloons out to bringing the cake out. We will definitely be back!!

Having not been to Babbo between it opening and this past Easter, I've now been 3 times in the past 6 weeks.

Went in this evening for drinks, told to sit and waiter would come over for our order. After waiting 5 mins we approached the bar and again told someone would come over for our order. This time waited nearer 10 mins but still not served whilst 2 staff standing at end of bar on mobile phones. As we got up and left both just looked up from their phones and did not apologise for poor service they just looked back down at their phones! Appalling!

We have been here One year ago. A nice place with a good service and very tasty meals and wines. We Will be back.

Just been for a meal with my husband. Tried the new menu, monkfish curry was tasty but very small portion for £17. Rice wasn't homemade and tasted like packet rice. Pasta was nice but again very small portion. The couple beside us were also complaining about wrong order and didn't finish meal as they thought their steak was undercooked. Lovely attentive staff, pity about the food. (Or lack of!)

I came in with a couple of friends on Tuesday of this week, and I can safely say I will not be returning. The food was unimpressive at best and the pasta what a let down. It’s meant to be an Italian restaurant, so riddle me this, why are there burritos on the menu? Makes me think they haven’t a clue of authentic Italian cuisine.

Our group of four received a warm welcome, a choice of where we sat and friendly staff - so we were off to a good start. Few minutes later we made our drinks choice from a reasonable selection of wines then ordered starters and mains. Each of us had something different and each of the starters were served as fresh, well prepared and hot as you could ask for.

I went to this restaurant midweek as part of a group of ten people. The service was very slow and disinterested. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone to eat, and the food is fairly priced. However, the food was very average. The restaurant is very noisy and the whole experience wa s really far from great. I would not see myself going back there..

Visited with friends for lunch and it was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, the two course menu lunch is an excellent price and the wine very quaffable and affordable. Had the breaded prawns with dip then sole mornay. Really nice. Would definitely return.

Called in on the off chance - had a great meal! The service (waiter Chris) and atmosphere were brilliant and I can highly recommend the king prawn linguine- it was delicious. Will definitely return when next in the area!

First of all I would need to say that we have enjoyed lots of good meals at this restaurant since it opened a couple of years ago. We found it was reasonably priced and the quality of the food was excellent. Last December we had a less than favourable experience and we were contacted by the owner to chat through our dining experience. I concluded that a number a factors had combined on this visit, not all of which could have been anticipated by the staff. I made it clear that we would always return but were disappointed on this evening and it had tainted our impression of the place. Well, we went back on a quiet Monday and frankly had a really good time, from start to finish. Everything about our visit was great, the menu was terrific value and we had a really nice table. The food was outstanding, the wine hit the mark but most importantly it was recognised that we were returning customers. I know Roberto wants to deliver a really good dining experience and this visit has fully restored our view that this is a top eating house in Giffnock. The staff were excellent and in Morven, Babbo has a front of house member of staff to be proud of. We will be back - soon. Thanks again for great customer service.

We took my elderly mother in law to Babbos for lunch today. We were shown to a table with very uncomfortable hard seats. There were tables nearby alongside the wall with upholstered seats. We asked if we could move there, but were told they were keeping it in case a big party turned up. The waiter was kind enough to find a more comfortable chair for my mother in law which she was happy with. My husband and I put up with the hard chairs and it was a little galling that when we left one and a half hours later the comfortable seats were still unoccupied. Seems a little unfair to make customers sit on uncomfortable chairs when better ones are kept free "just in case" other customers turn up. Staff were attentive and food was good apart from the Ice cream which was very disappointing and flavourless.

Been to Babbo a few times now - once with my hubby for a wee dinner, a few times with my close family and then a bigger family dinner for my mums 65th. Never disappointed! Food is always delicious and service is always top notch! I look forward to a wee Babbo visit! Also got a take away one time too and it was great too. Love it here!

We first discovered the restaurant last summer and fell absolutely in love with the food and decor! The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere and the staff are incredible! The restaurant also delivers which is excellent as we have ordered food in a couple of times over the last few months too! I always recommend this restaurant to family and friends looking for somewhere different to try!

Visited for dinner, food was excellent, service was good, interaction with staff was great. For a Sunday night, it was busy with a lot of repeat customers of which we will be one soon. Great gluten free options .

Quick Sunday lunch, food was good, service not really much to it, order taken, food delivered, plates cleared not chat no interaction whatsoever. Toilets were very dirty although some staff member had signed saying they were checked just United before we used them, odd! Shame decor in restaurant is great
