Takeaway order. Unfortunately the food was not great tonight. We have had better. The satay chicken starter - chicken was hard and struggled to get it off the stick. The beef and mushroom oyster sauce dish - beef was tough and the dish was tasteless. The phad ta krai was oily and completely tasteless - certainly no flavour other than oil - very disappointing overall as these dishes were over £10 each. Maybe a different chef was on shift tonight 🤨

Small restaurant and very busy on Friday night, takeaways also being collected. Restaurant gets very warm when busy. Food was very good, healthy portions as well. Service very good as well. I will definitely visit again.

We have been coming here for years and it’s always consistently average. Tonight was nothing short of disgusting. After over an hours wait our food arrived Our usual dishes came out totally different, the chicken was battered and deep fried (usually plain) and stank of dirty oil. We mentioned it but the waitress didn’t seem to know how to fix it so we just asked for the bill. They had taken £10 off which didn’t cover it but we just wanted to leave at that point. I felt sorry for the waitress being sent backwards and forwards to deal with it all to be honest. Prices have increased massively (which is fine if the quality was at least the same!) and service was non existent. I asked if they were experiencing trouble in the kitchen but was told not at all. You could have fooled me. As we left there were 5 tables of people who arrived before us, and hadn’t been given a bite to eat in the 90 minutes we were there. A huge difference to when we last visited. We won’t be returning. What a shame.

The food is delicious,the lady’s are very polite and nice ,the manager I assume that is who he is needs to work a little bit more on his customer service

Turned up at 10.15 nowhere else open serving food (chip shop finished, pub having open mic night) Told the hostess I had travelled 200 miles ( well 185 really but close, 4 hrs in rain, so long enough) She went to speak to chef and he put together chicken pad Thai take away even though he was packing up. Such a nice thing for a hungry stranger!! Lovely grub!! Friendly helpful folk. I will be back one day and I will be eternally grateful for their going out of their way for me. 🤩

Excellent food and excellent service, just very disappointed regarding the hard and fast rules regarding deposits, we had a table for 5 booked, unfortunately one of our party was taken to A & E today, we could not give 24 hours notice because she was fine yesterday, on arrival at 18.20 we were advised that we should have called at 17.30 today, seemed mad to us that for the sake of 50 minutes no refund could be given, for two hours we were the only people in the restaurant. I would definitely have attended this restaurant several more times as would my 3 friends but the inflexibility over a deposit refund for someone that ended up in A & E on the day we attended has left us feeling that we would no want to return, sometimes compassion and common sense should be used.

Always had consistently nice food but their recent massive price hike means we won't be eating there again. We always have a takeaway and tend to order the same thing - not very adventurous I know! In late March, the cost was £21.70 but we paid over £30 for exactly the same meal yesterday. I know costs have gone up but 40% in a few months! I also found that unless you reminded them each time, they tried to charge the full amount rather than apply the 10% discount for collected orders. It happened every time and felt like they were trying it on unfortunately

Really enjoyed the food. Lovely and fresh. staff were really friendly. Food tastes fresh. Something you expect from Thai food but don't always get. Try it.

What a gem of a place. People seem to travel from Luton and surrounding areas to this busy little place. Staff were great and the Food was Exceptional. One of the freshest and nicest Thai places I have been outside of Thailand.

Had to wait around for drinks, but place was busy at the time.

We first ate here the day they opened, mother's day 2018. Ate here again tonight, mother's day 2023. Service was excellent as usual, food perfect, tasty and just the right amount. Good value food and drink. Baan Thai has been a really great addition to the village, run by people who care. Many thanks and hope you will be here for many more mother's days!

Don't go for the set menus!!! Mix starters were ok BUT for mains you will get 1 standard portion to share between all - never seen green curry share-bowl in my life. At the end they overcharged us with £9 by accident!

A spur of the moment decision, having been intending to visit for a while. Small but cozy, well laid out. The food is simply delicious and service comes with charm and smiles. A pleasant buzz to the restaurant for a midweek winter evening. If you like Thai food, this is a must. Will visit again.

Ok but not great. Waited extra 20 minutes at collect, Starters were cold, prawn crackers a bit odd tasting. Mains ok but very runny. Not our best experience.

Went here with some friends after a business meeting lovely looking place and the service was excellent, the food itself was a little bland and boring and all the courses came out very quick, it was ok all in all but I was expecting some zing and heat to the food a little disappointed .

We ordered regularly from base Thai over lockdown and have eaten in regularly,yesterday evening we decided last minute to see if they had a table, the response from the staff was quite cold but they then offered us a table, the restaurant was empty at this stage, the food was rushed so we asked for some time between starters and mains, although they gave us sometime we were then approached and asked if we could hurry up as they had bookings and wanted our table as soon as possible, there were still very few people there, we felt unwelcome and as if they couldn’t wait for us to leave. It’s a shame but we made a decision there and then never to return again

We spent quite a lot as had wine too but made a decision never to eat there or order again. They couldn’t wait for us to leave despite being empty?

Such a disappointment with customer service. After finding an item was missing from the order when returning home the staff tried to imply that we had only asked for one main dish! No apologies, only then to find out we were charged the price for a main dish when a starter was wanted. Please be aware the prawn dish Goong Paow is listed as a starter and also a main with a considerable price difference. When ordering staff obviously assume you want it as a main at £14.95!! The customer service was really poor and there was not even a hint of an apology ..... not a great way to treat customers!!! After going over the bill again it still didn't add up..... all very confusing.

Really good vegan options , very tasty family meal , all choices excellent, cooked from scratch , fresh vegetables 🥦 and average portion size .

Came for the first time for a Valentine's day dinner. Service and food were superb and authentic. Great parking nearby- no stress. Reasonable prices. Will certainly be back with the girls next time. Don't hesitate to go - just go!

Delicious good. Never dined in, so cannot talk about service. But the ambience looked nice. Only complaint is about the portion of main dishes are little smaller.

I've only ever ordered food to take away from here but every time the food had been top notch. Fresh, full of flavour and spice and with generous portions to boot.

The location is in a nice peaceful area with car park spaces at the front. The staff were friendly and approachable. In regards to the food, the crackers were a bit stale and cold and as for the starters the satay chicken were slightly overcooked. The presentation however was embellishing. I really liked the main it was flavoursome and filling. Nothing too heavy just perfect. I would definetly recommend this place if you want a nice quiet night out.

Finally we found a great local Thai takeaway place. Love the food, always. Highly recommend. Shame they can't deliver to Bramingham.

Birthday meal for Mr Warboys Luton's finest

Very disappointed. This place came highly recommended. However, the chicken in my red curry was rubbery and parts were inedible. My wife was also less than impressed with her meal. Possibly just an off night, but we won't be rushing back.

My daughters and I have just come home from a fantastic family meal for one of my daughters birthday. Food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was attentive and quick.

Wonderful hot Jungle curry. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food was prepared for take away in 20minutes. The jungle curry is full of flavour and and wholesome vegetables. It is a very spicy dish that will warm you right up. Thanks for a great food.

Have eaten in the restaurant previously and it's a lovely clean environment. Food is of excellent value and I've been to a number of Thai restaurants over the years. During lockdown I have purchased a takeaway every Saturday and the food, service and cleanliness is of excellent quality and service runs smoothly. You can order the day before to avoid having to try get through during peak times. Excellent safety percussions taken and felt extremely safe.

Absolutely delicious Thai, to be honest the best Thai food my husband and I have had in England. We were so pleasantly surprised when we tried a take away from them today after craving a bit of Thai. The panang curry and chicken pad Thai were so flavourful and not super greasy like many other Thai spots. We will absolutely be ordering again regularly.

We were invited to a friend's birthday dinner at Baan Thai. On first entry, the restaurant appears tiny, however, the layout allows ample space for both diners and the service staff. All service staff are very professional and knowledgable about the menu and the extensive bar available.The food was exceptional Thai, experimenting with both traditional and some interesting fusion dishes. A group starter of crispy duck was excellent, with very subtle differences incorporating Thai flavours. I sampled a grilled chicken platter which was excellent, moist, tender and again excellently flavoured. My main was the Jungle Curry with tofu and vegetables. While marked at 3 chilli hot on the menu, I found the heat did not overcome the flavours of the underlying ingredients. Don't get me wrong, it did bring up a sweat, but never was the heat so intensive that I lost the rest of the ingredients.I would highly recommend the venue and the food

Got a takeaway from Baan Thai 29th dec & the food was fine so I thought I go back on New Year’s Eve with my family, I called made a booking & arrived on time. After waiting for almost 20 mins before we were even offered a drink or a basket of prawn crackers put on our table a couple are sat next to us 1 min later they were given prawn crackers and there order taken, that’s when I had to ask would someone be over to take our order!It was so awkward because the tables were so close together the couple could hear what I was saying to the member of staff they they put there crackers in our table saying have them as you have waited so long to be served that’s not fair, after me saying over 3 times it’s ok they will bring me some now the couple were persistent & the staff just let this happen so now we have prawn crackers that were first given to someone else for us to eat & be happy as we are no longer waiting! Then when they finally come to take out order the staff seem to be confused because we have a child and they have a set menu, however when I called to book I made it clear I’m bringing a child and I was told that’s fine the child’s price will be reduced £20 as the child will eat less! After the staff member went to check with the manager they then went on to take the order, then when the food comes there a mistake they put the Thai green curry over my child’s steak! At this point I’m now frustrated and proceed to talk to the manager who tells me that’s the sauce that come with the steak ( funny because that’s not what it says on the menu ) and he tells me in more than one occasion that he’s doing me a favour by reducing the set menu that’s £35 for adults to £20 for my child! He then says that he will talk to me at the end of the meal, after around 5 mins my child is then presented with steak with the correct sauce my child enjoyed the food ( he has the palate of an 11 year old ) but food was so bland so I basically left most of it. The dessert was a slab of tasteless chocolate cake & strawberry ice cream, the ice cream was so cheap & clearly not a dairy ice cream& the cake tasted like it came from a discount supermarket! A totally disappointing meal of which cost me £67 for me and my child ( that’s with a £10 discount ) and I only ate a starter! I would have given the restaurant a poor review but the fact the the take away I had two day’s prior was nice has helped the review slightly.
