Fantastic food, some of the best I have eaten outside of turkey. We started with a mixed meter, then I went on to have a tavuk shish, followed by the best baklava I have ever tried. Service was friendly and efficient and wait times for food were good. Highly recommend

Probably the best Turkish food I have tasted in the UK. It was the first time we have visited Az and we wished we lived closer so we could eat there more often. The atmosphere is great, the staff so friendly and the menu was fantastic. We started with a mixed meze and the flavours and selection were a feast for the eyes and then the tastebuds. The main course selection was a hard choice but we finally made our minds up. The chicken shish was well cooked and tasty, our grandson had the mixed grill, declaring it was the best he had ever had and my husband chose the Iskender guvec which he loved. We couldn't resist the freshly baked baklava for dessert and it was propbably the best I have ever had. Compliments to a fantastic chef. The owner Mehmet although busy, still found time to speak with each table of very happy customers. When we go back to Scarborough we will definitely visit again.

Hidden Gem We came to this restaurant after seeing the online reviews we live local and decided to eat here on a Friday night AZ has a nice relaxing atmosphere and staff were very helpful we both had different starters and shared both as we did with the mains chicken and Lamb dishes everything was well cooked and nicely presented Turkish Delight cheese cake to finish which was delicious this was our first visit but definitely won’t be our last fantastic staff and food what more could you want for and plenty of on street parking

Superb food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. This is a gem, Turkish food and hospitality in Scarborough. A small and intimate restaurant, with the most delicious food. Good selection of Turkish wine as well. A lovely place and we will be back.

This spot is a diamond of a restaurant for scarborough and I recommend to all who fancy a real taste of Turkey. The food is incredibly flavourful but light - meaning you can have a three course meal and enjoy every mouthful, I will definitely be going again thank you Mehmett and team for delicious food!

We had the most delicious meal, with a range of beautiful Turkish dishes to choose from. The mezze starter was the perfect size for sharing and packed full of flavour. The mains were generously portioned and stunningly presented. We enjoyed the baklava and affogato for desert, followed by glasses of Turkish tea. Mehmett and his team were always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. An absolute must visit in Scarborough! We will be back. Thanks, Lisa and Molly

Wow is all that can be said! Absolutely beautiful from the entrance when you walk in, the beautifully polished cutlery to the food and everything in between. The service was spot on! And the food was just amazing! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!!

Very good indeed. Can't fault it. Use their own recipes, do their own cooking. Subtle, tasty and very relaxing. We live on the wrong side of the country to go often - otherwise we'd be back very soon.

Best restaurant we've been to in as long as I can remember. The staff go above and beyond to make everything perfect, from anticipating when someone is coming in and thus opening the door ahead of you to ensuring your food and drink is delivered timely and perfectly. The food was out of this world - honestly there isn't a single negative thing I could say. Every flavour was rich and the depth was amazing. I usually pour a ridiculous amount of salt on all of my food - but after the gentleman who I presume owns the restaurant suggested trying it before seasoning it, I did so out of politeness and was not disappointed. I wish I was a wordsmith so that I could properly sing their praises. I'd definitely go back without hesitation and can highly recommend this restaurant

Another excellent dining experience on New Years Eve. Az retains its intimate and calm ambience, our chosen dishes were beautifully presented with high quality ingredients, delicious. Clean plates all round!! A huge thank you to Mehmet and his team for a great start to our NY Eve celebrations.

Went for a date night, and is a perfect location for a lovely quiet meal. Both had starter, main and took a dessert hope for a family member as we were too full to eat. Could not fault the food, or the service. Would definitely recommend.
