Food really nice. Especially the fish and chips however, staff aren’t friendly and are not helpful. Shame because our food was lovely.

Stopped after a walk along the tow path for a quick snack; excellent fish and chips, chip butty, latte and tea for two people. Very good value, friendly server, clean with nice decor. Would definitely recommend a visit

I went there this lunchtime with another 8 members of our walking group. The food and service were very good (and reasonably priced). I would recommend this to anyone wanting breakfast or lunch in the Hebden Bridge/Mytholmroad are. It's only 10 minutes drive from Hardcastle Crags and there's a free car park a few minutes walk away (Burnley Road Free Car Park). Go and enjoy as we did.

Didn’t expect the fish and chips to come in anywhere near as good as Bammys at Boundary Mill. They exceeded expectations and came in much cheaper so our new go to for excellent chippy tea 🫖

I highly recommend this cafe in Mytholmroyd. The food is amazing , prices are good. The menu has plenty of choice. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The cafe itself is very clean , and cosy. Will definitely be eating at this place again.

This restaurant was lovely and had a great selection of food and wine, all of which were delicious. Tapas means there really is something for everyone. Service was also great. It's also a very short train ride from Hebden Bridge, so nice to adventure out to a slightly less busy village.

Amazing little cafe bar with options to eat in or take away. Been a few times now and have to be honest the food is outstanding. Especially the fish and chips which are absolutely delicious. We went later and enjoyed a few drinks with our meal in a lovely bar with a great atmosphere. Definitely be back.

Recently rebranded as The Cafe Bar, I made my first visit today only a few days after its reopening. There's a great menu, with both eat-in and take-away options - anything from light bites and sandwiches to full meals. I had the haddock goujons in a soft roll with tartare sauce, and they were superb. Incidentally, there's a breakfast menu too with a very tempting looking Full English! The good news for an inveterate beer drinker such as myself is that the legendary Ossett White Rat, and Vocation Heart and Soul are still on hand pulls (along, of course, with a full range of other drinks) The prices are excellent for food of this quality. I can see the Cafe Bar becoming a regular lunchtime venue for me.

The food here is simply outstanding and the people are friendly and welcoming. Too many tapas dishes to recommend but a highlight for us was the pork spare ribs which were delicious. Lots of choice - to share or not! The dirty mint cocktail definitely needs a sample. Thanks for a lovely child free night for us!

Outstanding tapas… wouldn’t let them take the dishes away so we could mop up the sauces! And dog friendly too… this place is a gem!!!

Wow wow, the monkfish and gambas was amazing I want the sauce as a soup absolutely more ish, Pinot Grigio rose makes a perfect partner. Lee as usual making sure all is well and running smoothly. Another great night for Lynda and I at or favourite restaurant.👍👍🎶

We arrived 20 minutes early and were able to enjoy drinks in the bar before our table was ready. They had a good selection of drinks including some real ales. The Tapas system works really well we all orderd two or three dishes each (just write the quantities of what you want on the menu for your table). The quality of food was excellent, personal favourites were the steak in sauce and the battered cauliflower. Service was quick but not rushed as they stagger the booking times for tables which is a plus. Including the drinks at the bar and a couple of bottles of wine with 2-3 dishes each the bill was around £50 / head. We'll definitely be returning.

Called in midweek when staying in the area, a local recommended it and so glad I did. Some of the best tapas I have ever tasted and I have toured rural Spain. The gobi manchuria ( crispy cauliflower) was exceptional, the ribs were tender and the monkfish, scallop combo delicious. I had a side of fries which were too much as the portions were generous but I managed to eat every bit and then collapsed on the sofa later feeling very satisfied. Service was friendly and attentive and it has a cosy vibe. Nice, clean loos too. Deserves to do well.

Me and my family have been here lots of times but this time was just as lovely and the food only gets better! We arrived early and were able to sit at our table for a drink - there is a great selection of gins on top of wine and veers - cask and keg. The ambience and service is friendly but a high standard - makes you feel comfortable but like you are receiving high class at the same time!The food is delightful - it comes staggered as in tapas style. The frittata, black pudding ragu and halloumi dishes are gorgeous. It was topped off by one of the best creme brulees I have ever had. Highly, highly recommend!

After the disappointment of a cancelled holiday to Turkey, we decided to head north and spent a few days in Scotland. We needed to break the journey and decided on the Hebden Bridge area. Looking through the reviews we were intrigued by The Bar and Tapas in Mytholmroyd. We love tapas and thought this looks great why don’t we see if we could get a table. We were lucky and manged to get a table on a Friday night.In these difficult times it’s great to see a busines adapt and offer fantastic service whilst adhering to the highest health safety standards. Once seated we soon forgot about the troubles of the world, helped by a very swiftly presented pint of White Rat. The menu is fascinating and so different from the standard tapas fare. This is an exciting transformation of the standard Spanish small plate. My wife even tempted me down the vegetable dishes “Gochujang, ginger & maple syrup roasted butternut squash with corn & almond crumble, coriander leaves & pickled red onion” remarkable!Our lost Turkey holiday was soon forgotten as we enjoyed the new and exciting fare. A very memorable and enjoyable meal. I found out that our hosts where Phil, Carole and Lee front of house. I would like to thank them for getting our revised holiday off to a great start.If you are in West Yorkshire or on route elsewhere The Bar and Tapas in Mytholmroyd is well worth a diversion. It is truly a West Yorkshire Gem!

Great food faultless service and alhambra on draught simply most enjoyable tapas type meal i have ever eaten. Every dish was cooked to perfection and super value.

Every dish was exceptional. We had prawns, crispy battered haddock, melt in the mouth beef, fries, Thai fish cakes... Vey impressive and we are looking forward to our next visit. It was as all COVID regulated too and immaculately clean. A real gem.

I've been here a few times. There is a special sense of anticipation when you know you could pick the same as last time and enjoy it - or you can choose different tapas dishes with the confidence that the plates served will match the menu description and taste lovely. The service is attentive and friendly ; the premises feel very Covid secure. The food is well complemented by a good wine list and well kept real ale - White Rat (& sometimes others).

I visited here with my family mid week, on the eat out to help out deal. We were recommended to order around 3 plates per person so we ordered about 16 dishes between 5 of us. We honestly enjoyed every tapas that we picked and loved this restaurant! Some of our favourites we’d highly recommend were the prawns, patatas bravas, pork cheek and potatoes, the lamb, the garlic bread and cheese.... this list could go on. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone it was lovely!

We had a wonderful meal there last night and all my pre anxiety about eating out was put to rest as it was clear the staff had good training and the right practices were in place. The food was exceptional as usual and we would like to thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back as I have a feeling this will be our go to choice to eat.

We have had the good fortune of being able to eat at this restaurant on many occasions, but this was our first venture out into a different world since COVID-19.I suppose the first thing to say is that from the moment we stepped into the restaurant, any anxiety we had about eating out again in the current climate, disappeared.I was particularly impressed when I noticed the young waitress sanitising one of the doors; which was reassuring that staff are well trained & following good practices. Everything to protect diners was well organised from start to finish & we were able to enjoy a super meal in a relaxed environment.As I mentioned we've had the pleasurable experience of dining at the restaurant on many occasions when it was known as the 'Aux Delices'. During the period of Lockdown, the owners have rebranded & now trade as 'The Bar & Tapas'.To me this change reflects that the owners are one step ahead of the game & recognise the changing times & that diners (old & new) have evolved & are always looking for something different. It would have been easy just to sit on their laurels;being a successful and highly acclaimed restaurant, but the owners have vision & commitment to provide the best dining experience they can. Now to the food :-Simply to say that nothing has changed & although the choice of dishes on the menu has changed, the food is still as delicious as it ever was. Having finished our meal, we were invited to continue our evening in the bar area, where all COVID-19 rules were adhered to. To sum up; for anyone who is worried about having a bit of normality in their lives again & that they'd never be able to eat out again, my suggestion is you book a table at 'The Bar & Tapas' in Mytholmroyd & all those anxieties will dissappear. It's a fabulous restaurant.

My partner and I have visited Aux Delice on many occasions and have always loved the food and service. Now that it has changed to The Bar & Tapas we were blown away by the amazing dishes and variety on offer. Can whole heartedly say that this was one of the best meals we have had in years. Furthermore, under the current covid circumstances we felt completely safe and felt as though the service hadn't suffered in any way. We also decided to share a bottle of rose and found an excellent assortment of drinks to choose. Cant recommended enough. Brilliant night, will be going again.

Good variety of dishes to choose from not just Spanish. Portion sizes are good. We picked six dishes between the two of us plus two rounds of drinks, garlic bread snacks and coffee. The prawns in chilli & lime and the steak in garlic were especially good. All for around £85.

Four of us ate here on Saturday night - forget the recent floods, they are definitely back open, the food is still spot on, delicious and reasonably priced and they deserve to be supported. I wouldn't hesitate to go back next week, if I could, to try more of the fantastic menu and now for variety they offer yorkshire style tapas / small dishes as well as the more traditional a la carte menu. If you go early you can have the a la carte dishes for a set early bird price of £18.95 for 2 courses, which is about £5 less than usual price, even on Saturdays.

First visit to this area and after eating in average place in Hebden Bridge last night decided to try this place. What a pleasant surprise... this restaurant is perfect. Lovely ambience and top notch staff. We chose from the tapas menu and everything was lovely with a very nice bottle of red. Can not fault this restaurant they have got it just right. Got chatting to a really nice couple on the next table which added to the enjoyment of the evening . I would recommend this restaurant and hopefully we will be back again soon

I always enjoy visiting this delightful bar/restaurant. There is nowhere like it! The atmosphere is warm, calm and relaxing, the beers are always top notch and the food is to die for. Prices at the bar are non-expensive and are the best value around. The menu is constantly changing and you will always find something tasty even for the most picky eater. The recent addition of the Tapas menu is a bonus and you are spoilt for choice. It is a firm favourite for myself and now they are open Tuedays!!!

We were surprised to get 2 courses for £18.50 before 7pm . Not only that but the way the dishes work is that you order a side, so we could have gorgeous cauliflower cheese or salad, and not be tempted by ubiquitous potatoes. As I am trying to be low carb this was a blessing. A lovely meal and also appreciated the half carafe of wine.

Great little restaurant in Mytholmroyd. Quality food with good portion sizes. Medium rare steak was one of the nicest pieces of meat I've tried and excellently cooked. Good value for money and nice atmosphere too. Well worth making the effort and supporting them whilst the roadworks and flood alleviation scheme is completed locally.

Another visit to Aux Delices and another fantastic evening. The party enjoyed starters of Dippy Egg, Crab Cake and Braised Pig Cheek. All absolutely delicious and presented just perfectly. The mains on this trip consisted of Normandy Pork, Smoked Fish Kedgeree, Hake and prawns and Mushroom Wellington. All again totally delicious. It's a decent drive from Sheffield, but so worth the journey -the food, the staff, the atmosphere are all top notch! You've got to try it-book first and you'll not regret it!!

My family and I visited Aux Delices for dinner on a Saturday evening during a visit to the area. From the moment we entered, the staff made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a lively buzz.

Thursday night is never going to be the busiest night of the week but the bar was full and the restaurant welcoming. As usual we had a great night, The ongoing flood defence work carries on and Im sure it will have some effect on their trade, but what the heck if you are stuck in the traffic on Burnley road, go and park your car and look at the menu in the window, Book a table because the traffic is barely none existent in the evening and it’s easy to park.

This place has has an excellent atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff and outstanding delious food served in generous portions, the apple crumble is especially outstanding, the place is comfortable and spacious and I enjoyed every part of my visit (they have an excellent extensive cocktail menu that I unfortunately couldn't try due to medication) don't be put off by the road works in mytholmroyd this place is worth getting through the traffic problems, definitely worth a visit and they have a great early doors menu also
