The service was impeccable. Every staff member was very thoughtful and personable, adding to a great service at the bar. Salvatore, Adrish and Stefano made cocktail recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. Not to forget the staff that we were greeted by at the entrance - a lovely gentleman who guided us in. Do not hesitate to go there for a relaxed cocktail evening! We're definitely going back when we'll be in Kensington again.

My wife and I were craving for a good cocktail and went to the place next door from google reviews but the bar did not seem great at all so we left and a gentleman from the Kensington told us they are making cocktails and encouraged us to just have a look inside. The Bar room was so nice and the atmosphere so cosy that we decided to stay and we had a warm and educated welcome from Salvatore on the cocktails from their new experimental menu, reflections themed. The cocktails were amazing with lots of thoughts put into them. We then had a great conversation with Adrish while Stefano behind the bar prepared us the most beautiful negroni we ever tasted. We had a fabulous time at the K bar and highly recommend the experience. Not adding any picture there to not spoil any of their great work! Let yourself surprised.

Went here for some birthday drinks. The service was exceptional. Our waiter, Adrisch was so friendly, personable, and welcoming. 5 stars for him! He did a fantastic job, will definitely be back. Great spot The security man George O was also so lovely. 100 percent would recommend!

Primera visita. Hermoso comedor con chimenea. La comida era simple y sabrosa, sopa de coliflor y risotto en particular. Pero lo más destacado fue nuestro camarero, Ardit, que fue excepcional, educado, conocedor, amable y dio excelentes recomendaciones, mejor que el servicio brindado en muchos restaurantes estrella de Michellin, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

A late lunch was served well in delightful surroundings. It was on the expensive side considering the quality of the food but the general ambience made it worth while.

We had a fantastic experience for afternoon tea, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and extremely relaxing with dimmed lights, fire places all around the lounge area and pleasant soothing music. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented and our waiter, Ardit, could not do enough for us and was constantly looking after us, even giving me and my friend a lovely red rose each.I will definitely go back and recommend this hotel to all my friends.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the townhouse. The service was impeccable and the way the items for tea are showcased extremely creative. The food appeared on a display that is meant to be the eye of London. Most of the items served represented an iconic monument of London. Aside from the creativity of this display the sweets were incredible as were the sandwiches. Highly recommend this location.

Lovely venue for a cream tea. Staff akrhough keen were a little pretentious and overwhelming. We sent the scones back as they were cold, only to be given a 2nd portion that was still cold as if they had been pre defrosted and then thawed. Tea cakes and sandwiches were not tasty in fresh tasting. So we will not revisit orc recommend this place.

I found this lovely-looking afternoon tea, and I really wanted to try it. This spot is inside the beautiful Kensington Hotel. We walked in from the main front door of the Kensington hotel, and the staff guided us towards the back to where the Town House is located.

Amazing!!! We arrived to the Kensington early for our reservation we were seated in a beautiful room and they took our coats and offered water. We were soon asked to move into another delightful room and seated by the fireplace and greeted by Barbara. From the moment we met she took great care of us, answering all our questions and making great recommendations. The Food from the start was well presented and truly delicious. Thomas came over and introduced himself and spoke to us for a bit, he found out it was our anniversary he was SO happy for us and brought us many congratulations from the staff and hotel. The ENTIRE experience was BEYOND what we expected. Barbara and Thomas were just so sweet, They won’t be forgotten. It truly was a great experience.

It was our annual Christmas meet up and we've had afternoon tea before but this was the best one yet!! Immaculate service especially by Thomas! We didn't feel rushed but could take our time which led us to be completely relaxed and enjoy our time together. Two of my friends were vegan and they were able to have near enough the same design in desserts! The canapés before the afternoon tea was a lovely touch and was delicious. The decor was very classy and the Christmas decorations were breathtaking. What a lovely experience it was! Highly recommend it! As it has a gluten free menu, I might just bring my mum for afternoon tea when it's Mother's day. Thank you so much for a fantastic day! :)

I took my husband for his first afternoon tea experience and we loved it. The London landmarks desserts is very cute and a nice touch to make the afternoon tea a little bit different. It was refreshing to have an outstanding waiter - thanks Thomas! We even got an extra dessert as our rugby team won the World Cup (go Springboks!)

This restaurant should be a destination even if you are not staying in the hotel! We experienced breakfast, tea, and dinner during our stay with our evening meal being the best we had while in London. I would recommend that you book your room with breakfast-it was worth the convenience, variety and fine service. There are some coffee shops around the corner, but the ambiance and quality of food made my day. The Tea experience is unlike any other in London. The exquisitely made pastries are placed on a replica of the London wheel. The service and decor make for a perfect tea setting! Our dinner experience was amazing. We were so well taken care of by Ben the F & B manager! This guy is a real gem who went above and beyond to make our evening exceptional. We shared several dishes including crab toast, beetroot, and ricotta salad, creamed spinach, risotto and, of course, the delicious Dover sole (well worth the Ł37 price). Ben was very helpful with wine suggestions, including some champagne quality local sparkling wines from Sussex. For dessert, we had panna cotta. Honestly, from the interior design to stemware to service to food...a very memorable and special evening in London. Thank you Town House and Kensington staff!

My husband and I had afternoon tea at Town House at the Kensington Hotel and the setting, presentation, food & drink and service were all top notch! The Town House itself is a stylish boutique residence and hotel. The tea is served in beautifully appointed rooms. The London Landmarks-themed tea that was being offered when we visited was so creatively presented in a “London Eye” replica. The sweets were mini London landmarks including a meringue red phone booth, which is adorable. The service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this tea experience!

The staff here were amazing but severely let down by the food. My son and I visited for lunch and both decided on the crab with apple and watercress to start and the spaghetti pomodoro and a side of rocker . We ordered one shandy and two bottles of water. The crab starter was £16 and was tiny with a mere scrapping of crab on very sweet rye based bread which just did not work. The manager informed us they had no spaghetti so could they substitute rigatoni which was disappointing . The pasta turned up and they were large thick tubes coated in a bland sweet tomato sauce and that was it. It looked like the standard pasta dish served on a children’s menu. The rocket salad had a thick sweet balsamic dressing which spoilt it. The meal came to an eye watering £97 for two people. Very disappointing . Overall everything was too sweet , over priced for ingredients used and memorable for the wrong reasons. Ambience and staff were superb which is so sad as the food let’s it down.

What a fantastic experience. The London-themed afternoon tea was so lovely, start to finish. Outstanding service, beautifully presented food, and elegant ambiance. I mentioned a food allergy and the staff were so thorough and careful in making sure the food was safe for me. Delicious food, and the desserts tasted as good as they looked (the Shard was especially good). I am just waiting for an excuse to visit here again!

This is a lovely setting for a relaxed but elegant brunch. The plush furniture and elegant decor makes you feel very comfortable, although the service is quite formal, and the food is well-served--and also very tasty!

We visited here earlier in the week for Afternoon Tea. Billed as London Landmarks we were excited but left disappointed.

I’ve been to several afternoon teas around London and was excited for the London theme of this one. The food was delicious, as was the tea! The artistry of how the desserts were presented was beautiful. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about London landmarks. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an afternoon tea while visiting London.

Town House’s new London Landmark High Tea was absolutely delightful. My Husband and I enjoyed afternoon tea here on a Monday afternoon. All the food was delicious as well as the tea and champagne. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they also helped us to celebrate our honeymoon with a beautiful rose, hand written card and postcard souvenirs. Thank you to George and all the staff who made our afternoon tea experience wonderful. Highly recommend Town House for an afternoon tea experience.

This afternoon tea was very special - from the wonderful, creative, food to the very attentive and knowledgeable staff team. Great ambience too. My only grumble was that the fires were lit on a hot summer's day.

London Landmarks afternoon tea is beautifully and cleverly presented, but service was not very impressive. We sat for a long time before anyone took our order (we had a reservation), and the restaurant was not busy — only 3 or 4 other tables (at least in the back room where we were seated). The server explained each course as she brought it, then 5-10 minutes later a colleague would come over and ask if our server had explained everything......this seemed odd and uncoordinated. No one refilled our water glasses until the very end of service, when someone else brought the credit card machine and noticed they were empty. Took 15-20 minutes to get the check after specifically asking for it.

Came here with a friend for a catch up. It was perfectly presented and tasted amazing. The London landmark theme was really well done and the attention to detail was fantastic. Tea was regularly refreshed. Extra sandwiches and jam and cream were brought with no issues. They allowed you take home anything you did not eat also. The savouries to begin were also a lovely touch and tasted delicious. Staff were brilliant and ensured we were happy through out. The setting was beautifully decorated and the hotel even had a Wimbledon tennis theme as it was Wimbledon fortnight when we visited.

Best looking afternoon tea I've ever seen!

A lovely atmosphere for afternoon tea. The sandwiches and scones were excellent. Desserts shaped like London icons (Red phone booth, the Gherkin, the Shard, etc.), served on a stand shaped like the London Eye. The desserts were a bit odd though.

My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our Afternoon Tea at The Kensington. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room where tea was served was quite intimate, but also managed to be bright and airy. The tea was superb, and we all agreed the first course of the tea was our favorite. The presentation was impressive and beautiful, and the staff was attentive and friendly. They even took pictures for us and didn't mind at all that we took loads of pictures. I would absolutely recommend The Kensington for Afternoon Tea, and I hope I'm able to get back there with my girls again soon!

Had the smoked salmon, cord fed chicken and chocolate fondant with raspberry sorbet as part of the 3 course set menu for £25, excellent value in a beautiful hotel. Also had the beef wellington which was perfectly cooked though a little small and quite pricey at £34. The hotel also does a London Landmarks afternoon tea with a fantastic cake trolley in the shape of the London eye and the cakes/sweet treats in shape of London landmarks

Another fabulous afternoon. We visited for the first time last year for their Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea, which was excellent and so decided to visit again for their London themed afternoon tea. The sandwiches/cakes were delicious and accompanied by bottomless tea/coffee (although we opted for their cocktails). The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Special thanks go to Thomas and Alexa for looking after us. Highly recommended and we are eagerly waiting to see what their next themed afternoon tea will be.

Stayed at the hotel- first night we were jet lagged and wanted an easy light dinner. Amazing service and just the perfect dinner - he had a small serving of perfectly cooked scallops accompanied with asparagus and I had pea risotto. Decided we had to go back and tonight was not a disappointment. We both had the crab starter and Dover sole. Both were beyond excellent. Side of spinach and hand cut potatoes were perfect. Nice wine list, knowledgeable sommelier.

1. Were told by an employee (when we called to see if reservations were needed), “oh, no, just come on by.” 2. We did, and were asked at the restaurant whether we had a reservation when we arrived! 3. So-We settled for a cocktail-sized table near a fireplace at their suggestion , being told that there was a large group there tonight so the restaurant was full 3. Party of 4 came in after us, ordered, finished their meal —- we still hadn’t received our food. A solid hour and fifteen minutes later after several excuses that the large party was creating delays, we received our food. 4. You are charged for water 5. The woman at the next table had the same problem. Why was it that the party of four was able to order, receive their food, eat and enjoy it all before we received our food and had been sitting there for a solid hour? For such an upscale hotel this is abysmal service. Not a review of the hotel itself.

Staying at The Kensington, we booked for lunch in their restaurant, the Town House. What an excellent decision, with great service from all the staff members, our 3 course lunch was purely great food, on all the plates that came to our table. Our mains were the 'Seared Scollops' and 'Beef Wellington' with side of greens. The accompanying wines were just as good and an excellent accompaniment to our lunch.

I have tried quite a few afternoon tea’s around London and can honestly say the afternoon tea at the Kensington Hotel is the best I have found. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy the tale as old as time tea last year and enjoyed it so much I returned for their new London Landmarks Afternoon Tea and I was not disappointed. The concept of the tea was well executed and the taste combinations were delicious. The setting of the restaurant where the tea is served is very comfortable and relaxing and is quintessentially the perfect example of a British Afternoon Tea which you should try.

This was my second visit and this time we had a 2 year old with us and we indulged in the London Landmark Afternoon Tea. It did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and very accommodating of our little one, including giving her a free reading book! The afternoon tea was excellent, and very relaxed. I would not hesitate to come again.

I'd booked 3 rooms for a party of girls off to Chelsea Flower show. The only negative comment I can make about the hotel was regarding a waiter who was clueless. However, the manager dealt with the issue immediately and going forward everything else was very good. The rooms are, like most London hotels, not on the roomy side, but they have everything expected of a 5 star and although just off a main road are extremely quiet. There is a lovely atmospheric bar and bright restaurant, The location is perfect - within a short walking distance of the V&A; etc. The staff really are excellent - very friendly, accommodating and efficient. There are many, many 5 star hotels in London but The Knightsbridge has become my favourite small hotel in the city and I will definitely be returning.

From the minute we walked in the door we were treat like royalty. The staff were so friendly and asked if we were celebrating anything - which we were, i'm pregnant and my friend is moving to Canada. 10 minutes later they brought us a beautiful cake each with chocolate wording for our adventures. Thomas the server was so attentive - i couldn't so much as drop my spoon without him taking it away immediately for a clean one. When we had over stayed our 2 hour slot he took the liberty of reserving us a table in the drawing room for drinks if we wanted to stay longer - we did. We arrived at the table to water and drinks list including non alcoholic cocktails for me. They honestly go above and beyond to make you feel listened to and special. The food is also fantastic! I had never had an afternoon tea which started with a hot set of mini pies and tarts. We would be back in a shot! Thank you so much for making our celebration so special.

The Town House has an extensive brunch and meals menu and the food and service are excellent. The real speciality of the restaurant is an afternnon tea ( served from lunch time onwards) themed around the key London landmarks, like the Eye, the Tower and the Houses of Parliament. Quirky and delightful.

What a fabulous place! The most elegant and beautiful surroundings, staffed by charming and delightful young people. We had arranged to meet our New Zealand cousins here for lunch, and could not have chosen a more perfect setting for a taste of English hospitality. The finishing touch was the presentation of a complimentary red rose!

Very pleasant from start to finish. Friendly, attentive & helpful staff who were very knowledgeable whilst explaining the London landmarks with the aid of a souvenir map. The tea itself was a little different, starting with a savoury dish using local produce from nearby London markets, followed by sandwiches and scones, and finally exquisite replicas of London landmarks. All of which were delicious. Well worth a visit.

Lovely afternoon tea. Staff were lovely and service was great. They accommodate for special dietary requirements. Would definitely recommend.

I booked The Town House based on proximity to South Kensington Tube ( and it is only a 5 minute stroll away ) and the images that were posted Nothing disappointed on our lovely long spring lunch

My husband and I went to The Town House at the Kensington Hotel to celebrate my 30th and it was delicious! The food was to die for, especially the coronation chicken and the rhubarb mousse telephone box. The staff were very attentive to my food intolerance which was fabulous as a lot of places don’t check in with you that the food is ok. The hotel itself is beautiful. Great day :)

This was our first time to London and we reserved a table for afternoon tea on Easter Sunday. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt their high standards for customer service. The staff were warm, professional and accommodating. I have Celiac and my entire meal was gluten free including the delicious scones. The tea was tasty and my teenage children tried all the food and loved it. I wanted to provide a new experience for them and The Town House exceeded my expectations in every way. When we return to London, this will be a repeat experience for us without a doubt!

We had London theme afternoon tea, very creative, savoury starter was nice. And we met two stuffs Stefaio and George in the entrance were so friendly and helpful. They help us took very nice group photos. Very enjoy this afternoon tea experience!

I went for a London Landmarks Afternoon Tea at the Town house in south Kensington. The whole experience was amazing. The food was Delicious! The service was excellent. We felt welcome and everything was so scenic. I am guessing the man who served us was Dan or Tom and there was also a lady who served us. The staff explained all about the tea with a card with drawings. They first served us the most delicious starters (all savoury). We were then presented with a cake stand resembling the London Eye, filled with the most eye catching works of art (the shard, the big ben, gherkin and red post office box). As we were leaving, we met this man from Kenya called George. He was so wonderful and even showed us a gorgeous place inside the hotel where we could take pictures. He was so welcoming. It truly was a wonderful afternoon. Overall 5* or 10/10! I would highly recommend this afternoon tea.

My family and I booked the London Landmark High Tea at the Kensington Hotel. Wow...we were blown away! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased and didn’t need anything. Our waiter was Ronald and he was terrific. The tea and food was so good. I especially loved the scones with clotted cream and jam, chicken salad sandwich and the strawberry rhubarb mousse. The presentation was beautiful. Loved how the desserts resembled the London Landmark. I would highly recommend.

I can honestly say this afternoon tea is amazing, from the atmosphere, the attentive staff & of course the delicious food. We have had lots of themed afternoon teas & this is one of the best. Sitting in a very relaxed lounge type area with soft lighting, you immediately feel at ease, the staff are very friendly and explain all about the tea,you start with the most delicious savouries, these were so tasty, packed with flavour and a great way to tickle those taste buds. You are then presented with a cake stand resembling the London Eye, filled with the most eye catching works of art. It truly was a wonderful afternoon, it was my Mum's birthday and a lovely staff member presented her with a rose & she also got an extra cake on a plate with Happy Birthday piped in chocolate. I can highly recommend this afternoon tea and we made some wonderful memories to treasure. Thank you.

To start with the positives, this is a stunning environment and a great place to have dinner and talk without people at the next table breathing down your neck. The pre-theatre menu is pretty basic and considering the bill was close to £40 per head with only one glass of wine each, I’ve had many far better meals in central London. Not a dealbreaker by any means. That was my friend and me both having to leave half of our ‘roast’ chicken due to it looking pinkish and having a strange and unappetising texture. When we told the waiter it was undercooked, he gave us a detailed explanation of the weird thing that happens to the proteins when it’s ‘boiled in the bag’ before being finished on the griddle. Ugh, no thank you. A restaurant that can’t be bothered to cook a piece of plain chicken properly is a lot less classy than it looks.

We visited and had the London Landmarks Afternoon Tea as a treat for my mum for Mothers Day. We were a bit early but that was not a problem, Thomas the Concierge seated us just outside the restaurant by the open fire and we only waited about 5 minutes before the table was ready.
