Outstanding food, services was beyond perfect. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean. The waiter we had was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The Biscoff cheesecake was unbelievably good.

Every time I come here the staff are super efficient, friendly and helpful! The order was taken nice and quickly and served equally as quickly. Also lovely personal touch by the manager, we had asked about how spicy a dish was and she had said they would not put the chilli's in so it was a manageable spice for my husband. I would be very worried if they ever lost the manager she's just brilliant! We also tried the new sticky toffee coffee dessert and it was DELICIOUS! Melt in the mouth and the coffee ice cream was SO yummy

I walked in, said table for one please. Was asked 'any allergies?', I said yes, and gave my only allergy, she grabbed a black folder. The place was not busy, but she walked me to a table RIGHT next to a family. Like if I had put my arm out, I would have almost touched the woman at the table next to me. So it was awkward, because I was solo, and wanted peace. And not to be sat in am empty-ish restaurant on the shoulders of a random family. Anyways, next, menu plonked down, and the black folder. Zero explanation that it was for allergies, I figured that out by myself. Next without saying anything, again. Walks over to till, grabs a shot glass of something yellow, abruptly puts it down on my table, doesn't say what it is, and walks way... I am thinking... hmmm, ok 👎🏼 I spent a while skimming through this hectic folder, hoping I didn't pick anything I was allergic too. She comes back takes my order. I then also notice that there is a fork, Cucumber and red stuff on the floor under 2 tables next to me... nice. The table next to me gets the wrong thing twice, no explanations, no warmth of any kind (and for minimum wage I do not expect 'service with a smile' or anything - but not cold or rude) and I can hear them saying to one another that the service is 'shocking'. My order comes. It was nothing to write home about. But the different waitress that brough it - at least acknowledged me as a human being. She was kind, she asked if I'd like salt and pepper, cheese. I said all of the above please and we both giggled. That was better. She came back with it, said enjoy, I ate it. The table next to me, saw that interaction, and spoke about the difference. I could hear them, and I was thinking it too. The lady then walked up to the waitress who had been cold and asked for salt, pepper cheese... they hadn't been asked. It was awkward. Anyways, paid £20+ for this experience. I won't be coming back, and will not be recommending.

Great service, food lovely with plenty of vegan options. Baby friendly with high chairs available. Got a free side with the loyalty point on the app, which was a bonus! Shame they didn't have zero alcohol prosecco or wine as it would have been nice with lunch.

First time visiting, thought the decor was nice and the staff were welcoming. Table was a bit sticky when we sat down but hey don't sweat the small stuff. Ordered 2 x kids dishes (3 courses for £7.50, seemed very good value) and a normal pasta dish (beef Ragu) and a pizza. The main meals took an age to arrive and when they did one of kds meals was missing, was told by the waitress it was on its way, no explanation provided and no apology when it did arrive 10 minutes later. Kids pizza was really quite small and left 6 year old still hungry. Adult pizza was decent at best however the pasta dish was tiny, honestly looked stater size. It was actually pretty good but I was still very hungry afterwards. Service was generally slow, kids desserts (ice cream) took 15 minutes to arrive. All in all it was a poor experience, staff were pleasant enough but inattentive. Unsure why service was so slow as the place was fairly busy but didn't appear to be unmanageable. There was an empty dirty table at the window when we arrived that was untouched when we left 90 mins later.

Going down hill. Used to be a lovely place with fantastic service. The last few times we've been in the table is left half cleared for around 10 minutes between courses and the servers walk straight past. Won't be back in a hurry.

Pre ordered our family meal so expected things to move quickly, especially after,being told we only had the table for 1-1/2 hours. Ordered drinks which took 20 minutes to come. Starters arrived 15 mins later, they were the highlight of the night! Main courses were 90% of a disaster, my Apollo Milanese was a cheap, beaded chicken fillet which arrived with cold, hard broccoli and chips (they were good), 2 calzone pizzas were well burnt on top and a veg pasta was stone cold and had to be re-cooked. I realise that a good discount was given but it was still a very disappointing visit.

We were a group of 6 celebrating a friend's birthday. Food was tasty and Alla did amazing job looking after us. She ensured that Birthday girl got a magical service and enjoyed her evening. Free birthday dessert was a cherry on top. 😊 Thank you to Alla for looking after us so well. We had a great time.

Had Bruschetta bread to start with which i would rate 7 out of ten. Followed by a Beef Ragu dish which was very poor we told a waiter and a waitress they just said sorry 2 out of 10. Pudding was okay would i come back here again probably not

Delicious food, amazing service, and a lovely atmosphere.

My server Poppy was cheerful and professional, as was the gentleman who greeted me on arrival. The food was excellent from the devilish starter of crispy pasta to the salmon risotto I can't fault it.

Always a fantastic time at this restaurant. The kids menu is fantastic and everything from the service to the food is fantastic. Accommodated us at short notice on a Friday night and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

Ordered vegan lasagna and the middle was stone cold, it appeared half a pint of olive pile had been poured over the dish revolting tbh

I hadn’t been here for a few years because I moved away after uni, but it was a pleasant surprise to come back. The staff is clearly well-trained, they are very polite and attentive. The food is flavourful and I think it’s a step up from last time! Well done, thank you for a good dinner!!

Yesterday we were with friends, it was busy, a girl was running alone throughout the restaurant, one of the guests shouted at her in the whole restaurant, how she steadfastly withstood this situation, solved this problem without rudeness, honestly, if I were that waitress, I would have shouted in response to the client. The girl was great, she solved all the issues, tried to do 5 things at one time. Interesting fact that the 2nd waitress just walked around the restaurant and did nothing. I want to say thank you to this girl.

Always go to Ask Italian for meeting up with family, never had any issues until tonight . Disappointed tonight with the time it took for meals to come out, waiting staff were fantastic but extremely slow service from kitchen. Did ask our waitress if there was staff off, was told there had been a change of kitchen staff the last couple of weeks, that people were going back to college. No offence but didn’t think the kitchen staff were students so I’m not sure if there was a cull or staff left for some reason. Such a pity, it’s always our go to in union square for food. Food when eventually served was good but table booked at 7.30 and no starters until an hour and half later isn’t great. My main course pizza came 15 minutes after everyone else’s main course cos apparently the first one stuck to the oven and they had to remake. Hopefully it’ll be better next time 😊

Booked here for dinner with my partner and we will not be back. Absolutely terrible service I had asked for lasagne and was met with “no” to which I was took back quite a bit and said “sorry?” “No, no lasagne” wish we had just left there and then. Opted to have another pasta dish which wasn’t very nice, my partner enjoyed his pizza though so wish I had just chose that too. It wasn’t too busy when we were in so no excuse for the service. When leaving and asking to pay I was met with a card machine with the cheek of giving herself a £6 tip.. not a chance

I was surprisingly able to book a table for 5, just a half hour before attending!! Service was questionable, pizza arrived cold, had to be sent back, sat for 20mins without anyone coming near to clear our table, I had to eventually go and get dessert menus myself. Server then dropped dish/cutlery whilst clearing the neighbouring table, splattering 2 of their party and my daughters t-shirt sleeve and back. I was offered a cloth and advised to send the dry cleaners bill, really, we are not local and who is going to do that!? That will be mine, the mother's job to clean it. Have to say I was left feeling annoyed at the non-plussed attitude of "well that else do I expect them to do!?"

Poor service and mediocre starter and desert. We got the fondue to share. Waitress couldn’t tell us if it was sufficient to share. Mains were hot and tasty. Daughter had the mini deserts, but by the time it arrived the sorbet had melted and coffee was the wrong size. I had the coffee and mini tiramisu. Coffee cold and the cake was half the size of guests at next table who had the same. Service was non existent. There was only 3 staff serving tables and restaurant was busy.

Food was delicious. I've been there a bunch of times, my favourite Italian, and would highly recommend. I'd even go as far as to say it's one of my favourite places to eat. Absolutely lovely place, and every time I visit there are new items to the menu that are always amazing! I think the best thing I've had from there was a venison ragu, which I haven't seen since, but would like to see again soon!

The pizzas we had were first class. The staff were very attentive and we enjoyed our coffees after the meal. Will be back soon 👍

Picked this restaurant out of several in a mall not expecting too much. Enjoyed well-above average spaghetti, pasta and focaccia. Attentive service, meal prepared quickly. Desserts looked great though we didn’t order any. Would definitely return.

A new low in Italian tourist dining

Pretty decent food with laid back cozy ambience. We tried the Magherita pizza, pomodoro spaghetti, pulled beef pasta and the Sicilian lemon tart with ice-cream. The house wine was however a bit underwhelming.

Had a pre event dinner here and booked ahead. Initially it was very quiet but by the time we left they were turning potential diners away. So it would do no harm in booking ahead. Food was good, menu varied, and service professional.

Great food, served in good time by pleasant staff. The piped music could be quieter. Like all other restaurants, it's getting expensive to go out so often.

Do not order the Rigatoni Pomodoro, cheapest pasta used so is rubbery, cheapest sauce used, basic basil flavour. Should take it off the menu, can make the the same standard at home with more flavour for £1. Visited while on a trip to Aberdeen. Distinctly average, our group had a mixture of plates of food including risotto, pizza and spaghetti bolognese. None of it was anything more than "average". Staff were really friendly though.

Fantastic experience, the staff were quick, responsive and super friendly. The location is beautiful and the food is delicious 😋 couldn't ask for a better experience.
