Ask Italian in Epsom and Ewell

We visited the Epsom's Ask Italian branch on Monday (24/05) afternoon. We were served by Karolina , Anwell and the manger. They all provided absolutely fantastic service. There were 3 of us (myself, my sister and my 4yo son), and we all enjoyed our food. I had the spinach and ricotta girasole and the bloody orange &chocolate cake. Absolutely yummy. Our food arrived on time, the service was smooth, the restaurant and the bathrooms were immaculate. It was a very pleasant experience, especially for my son. He loved his ice cream and the fact that he could decorate it himself. Many thanks!

Can’t stress how welcoming this place is. I’m not one to really write reviews but the management and rest of the team made this absolutely worth while. Manager - Mehmet. Absolute angel, deserves a raise, 10/10Mathew - absolutely wonderful person, angelic personality. Had to travel hours to get into work bless. Lovely meeting him also 10:/10Will 100% be popping in again!

Karolina was a superb host. She looked after us all evening and made sure we had everything that we needed. The food was delicious and made for a great evening for a catch up with a good friend. Would come again.

The manager, Mehmet was absolutely amazing! I ordered food on Just Eat and the driver never delivered my food. The manager investigated and was on the phone to Just Eat for a long time to try find out what happened, he kept in constant contact with me to update me on everything. He offered to give me free food but Just Eat refused to send out a driver to my house so he personally drove to my house and delivered my food. It wasn't his job to do this but he did and the food was hot and tasty. He is a brilliant manager and an asset to the restaurant.

Ordered for takeaway and food is always excellent, especially the extremely delicious garlic aoli. The staff are accommodating, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

ASK in Epsom is one of our favourite places to eat out and I always have a pizza because they are superb. Thus, as I really hankered after an ASK pizza we ordered online, click and collect, one pepperoni and one margherita. They smelt delicious on the way home. Hoever: when we opened the boxes they were the thinnest pizzas we have ever seen with hardly any topping. They were also barely luke warm. We ate them because we didn't have anything else, but will never order a takeaway again. This is really disappointing because we are very good customers of theirs and have never had anything but a good meal. We are perfectly well aware that businesses are struggling to survive in these dreadful times but if ASK can't provide the same quality food to take away as they serve in the restaurant they really shouldn't bother because it has really dented their reputation with us. I have seen several similar reviews to this.

Mehmet and the ask italian team in epsom went above and beyond at providing excellent customer service for me and my boyfriend this evening. (TAKEAWAY) Food was outstanding, definitely will order again :) Cheesy garlic bread is unreal. Thank you all!

The team here are absolutely great. They followed covid guidelines effectively and we ordered through the website which was easy and simple.Service was very quick and the quality of food was excellent, particularly the chestnut and cranberry dough balls, which we'd highly recommend. Thoroughly impressed with Mehmet who was so polite and extremely attentive and the lady who was seeing us at our table, would strongly recommend. 5****

Above and beyond! We had an order with the restaurant through a third party delivery company who had messed the order up. Unfortunately we were missing a major item off the order and thought the meal ruined until we rang the restaurant and spoke to the GM Mehmet. He was fantastic, understood our issue and even drove the missing item to our house. We've never experienced such outstanding service from a local restaurant and cannot praise Mehmet and his team enough.

Mehmet provided brilliant service and allowed us to have a great experience and charge out phones and offered us drinks on the house. 100% recommend!!!! Definitely returning, especially after his smiley, welcoming greeting.

Had a meal with friends last night, service was good but a little slow at times, this may have been as we were in a corner so possibly overlooked at times. The nduja bites to start were amazing, so soft and flavourful. The lasagne I had for main was nice, but lacked a little flavour for me. Good vegan options for our friend. Overall a decent meal for a reasonable price.

Had the most delish and amazing meal today in Epsom. The service was fantastic and very welcoming! Thank you Mehmet for making our experience perfect! The food was delicious and my girls loved their super yummy desserts! Everyone went beyond and above for us! Can't wait to come back next week for half break!

I came here with my girlfriend around 3 weeks ago to get a last-minute takeaway meal around the time the kitchen was about to close. We were served by Mehmet who gave us amazing service and was very kind and patient with us. We want to thank him for his hospitality, and will definitely come again for sure!

The last time I went to ask in Epsom was not a good experience but as it's local I thought I'd give them another chance. So glad I did as the service exceeded expectations, food was very tasty and we had an enjoyable evening. Good covid measures and we were reminded when booking to Wear masks and payment would be cashless.

Nice Italian in epsom. Chain do you know what to expect. Food good but they put pepper in everything so only complaint. Now I know I ask for it to be excluded

Had a great meal with my family tonight. Staff couldn't have done more to be friendly and attentive on a super-busy evening. Food served quickly and exceeded high expectations. Good job Ask Italian.

Not tried ASK Italian in Epsom before and were looking for a restaurant ........... reviews of many other competitors in town were very poor. This got good reviews ......... and they were not wrong. Service was attentive and with a smile, food was decent, COVID set-up was good. Very pleasant experience.

we went here as a last minute change of plans and we were so pleased we did, great customer services from the moment we walked in till leaving everything was done to the highest standard. The food was fantastic such great flavours and presented so well and alot of choice.The covid restrictions were in place and well though out felt very safe. Will be going back soon.

We were amazed once again by our dining experience in the hands of Anwar and the wonderful team at Ask Epsom. Despite the restuarant being at full capacity we were served delicious food in a timely manner. Anwar was always attentive even though he was supporting tables in the garden and at the front of the restuarant. A true professional!

Very beautiful restaurant, especially the marble-looking tables at the front of the restaurant that look out to the high street. Cute little lemonade ‘shot’ on arrival. Staff always check that you are happy.

Stopped by here after a 4 hour journey to relax before an appointment and the same return journey home. The staff were great, attentive and helpful and the main/starters were delicious. One member of the team went above and beyond which was lovely especially in these times.

I called ahead to make a reservation to eat here, and enquired about the vegan menu during the call. When we arrived for our meal, we were shown to a nice secluded table in the garden, and automatically given the vegan menu - what great attention to detail, thank you. The food was fresh and vibrant which we enjoyed with a bottle of Prosecco, which was also vegan. Our server also happened to be vegan, and made sure we had a great time. I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone for its varied and interesting menu, and the quality of staff who go the extra mile to make sure you have a great time. We will return!

Ate here a couple of weeks ago, ate outside in the garden. Service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, think there maybe new Manager/staff, but didn’t really have any problems before. Food was good as always. Definitely recommend.

Me and a friend came in for catch up dinner, despite the business the service was great. Karolina was very attentive, friendly and helpful, smiley throughout. The food was spot on, portions were banging, definitely will be here again soon. Drinks from Karolina were banging and came out very quickly too after she welcomed us in.

I always look forward to coming to ask on a Friday with my sisters! Everyone is so nice here, today Karolina looked after us and she’s been so attentive!!! I just wanna say the whole team are amazingly friendly! And I’ve come here every Friday so far since they’ve reopened. So good to be back xxx

The service at Ask Italian Epsom was really outstanding. They made me and my sisters feel very comfortable during these uncertain times. All of the safety measures that where in place was to a high standard. Our waitress Karolina did an amazing job taking our orders!

The Ask Italian Epsom team are so welcoming, friendly and attentive! Myself and my sisters came for dinner on a Friday and surprisingly the restaurant was super chilled so we felt extremely comfortable. Karolina did an outstanding job taking care of me and my sisters which contributed to an overall lovely experience! The food was absolutely delicious and had an authentic touch to it! Myself and my sisters will 100% be coming back to this restaurant for future occasions!

As was dining in Epsom and I did found the time I did spend in ask Italian restaurant one of amazing experience I have ever had!!! Specially because of most amazing waitress ever Karolina which make my time special.her smile and professionalism was like 5 start place. Had a wonderful night out at this branch of Ask . Ordered the chicken salad. It came with 3 small pieces of avocado and 4 halves of tomorrow. Not worth the money all. Garlic bread arrived stone cold. The starter was a sloppy mess. Won’t be using again.

slightly nervous about eating out again so we ate in the lovely patio garden area , we had different ages and food needs inc vegan. We were made to feel so welcome, huge choice of food, all the waiting staff were very professional and everything was spotlessly clean , totally keeping to the covid regulations . All food, cutlery and drinks were brought to the table on trays . I could not of felt more safe esp as my mum is i her mid 80s Food was delicious and good choice of Vegan foodThank you to the whole team for making it such a wonderful occasion .. Cant wait to come back x

We had a lovely family meal at Ask Italia. We were four adults and four children. Everyone, even the kids (some of whom are fussy eaters), ate everything that was put before them. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes on offer. So much more than pasta and pizza. The staff were very friendly and the kids loved the open - bar style - kitchen because they could watch the flames rising from the flambé cooking.

Fab evening for a 10 year old’s birthday. Very welcoming and so helpful. Great food for kids and adults alike. Thanks!

The staff are outstndingh nhee and most worked there for years. Service is professional and quick the the Italian menu alwasy served hot and fast. the decor has gone a little "mass produced" since the refurb about a year ago ( or is 2 yrs now?), but still comfortable. They no longer accept the Taste card here, so now a little expensive for a mid week "dont want to cook" meal. Its the staff and the open non crowd space that makes us come back twice a month.

I was convinced to come back here for my daughter's birthday celebration. It is much improved since the last time we went!!The staff were all so welcoming, attentive and helpful; and the food was fantastic. 7 very happy customers!My son was asking when we're going back, before we even finished the starters. We will definitely be going back soon!!

Thanks Ask for yet another great meal. Gerry was our host tonight and he recommended Asparagus and Pancetta Carbonara. We have tried a few dishes now but this was totally delicious. Friendly and helpful he took our booking for the next visit too!

Booked for me and family a table at the back, was given a perfect spot all the way at the back - almost felt like we had our own room.Drinks and food were great as usual, good portions and extremely tasty.Staff was helpful and nice, we go there often and never had any issues.Prices are good and never felt overcharged.

Good service,great food,drinks. Round table for 6 makes meal very sociable. Plenty of staff who looked after us on the occasion of granddaughters 16th birthday.

8 of us visited here for a family occasion & while the starters arrived quickly there was an unacceptable over 45 minute delay for our main courses. This was compounded by the fact that a similar sized table who arrived later than us were served their mains before us. Also there was no communication as to why the mains were delayed. My brother in law went to speak to the Manager & was told it would be sorted. Ten minutes later nothing had improved. It turned out our order has not been sent to the kitchen.

I visited Ask with 12 other people on Friday and most most disappointed with the meal. 3 people on my table had the seabass which was raw in the centre. We asked for the fish to be cooked again as it was unsatisfactory. The waiter dealt with the situation very well and brought us some free prosecco as an apology. However, when the fish returned, 2 of the dishes were still under cooked in the centre and had to be sent back again. When the fish returned for the third time it appeared that the under cooked centre had been pulled out and the rest of the fish left flaked on the plate. The chef who cooked it then stood moaning to the bar staff staring at my table, which was more than unacceptable. I personally do not think it is a lot to ask to have cooked food.

Ask Italian, Epsom, is a warm and friendly restaurant. Everyone there were really nice and kind. We were a very large group, yet they looked after us wonderfully! The food was delicious and looked amazing. They handled our book impressively, with smiles! Thank you for giving us all a wonderful lunch! The manager, Mehmet, managed our booking perfectly. He was very calm, friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant, under great management. Thank you!

I have said this once and I’ll say it again.....you can not find friendlier staff than at Ask Epsom....they are all awesome....truly awesome. I have always been made to feel at home here ....thank you guys, you rock!!

Well situated in the high street albeit some 200 yards or so from the nearest car park. Typical pasta/pizzaambiance but decent food and prices.

This restaurant is brilliant for a business lunch or a romantic night out. Anwer, provided excellent customer service - highly recommend this restaurant.

We chose ASK as they have great deals with O2 priority. A table of four of which three of us were vegans, our server Gedz talked us through the seperate menu. He showed great knowledge of the wines as well as the food. One of our friends was disappointed with the portion size of her meal and Gedz appeared with another small pizza once she had finished. Excellent customer service and he went out of his way to make it a good experience .

Usual very high standards this weekend. This time we sat further back inside it and i saw that they have a side entrance that is available for wheelchairs etc Simply go to the left of the front stairs if you have mobility issues.

I have been here only once, but found the food to be very nice and so did the friends I went with.

I have been here many times over the years, everything from birthdays or dining with friends and family.

Staying in local Premier Inn very near about 100m, very limited menu so we thought we would eat out in Epson. Found this restaurant, not familiar with chain, menu looked interesting, prices fair so went in, friendly atmosphere and attentive very efficient staff. Every item we orderd was really tasty and well prepared, my 8 year old was well looked after as were we. We had a mushroom and a mini fondu dish to start, some pasta dishes and pizza. All really good, lovely sweet choices as well. Really glad premier Inn had limited menu as we would never have found this place. Looking forward to finding a Ask Italian restaurant near me. Really nice evening thank you, its not a cosy romantic place but a buzzing fun place to eat where kids are welcomed and well looked after.

I used to love Ask and it was my regular go to place.

During Fathers day we wanted to try something different and happened to choose this place. It was a wonderful choice. The food was outstanding and so was the service.

Lovely food as always but what stood out again was the exceptional customer service we received from Alicja. She never fails to amaze with her attention to every little detail, bundles of energy and just generally making your experience fantastic. Thanks to all the staff at Ask Epsom who mean we keep coming back!

Great service yet again, we visited twice in one week and both times we were welcomed by Gerry and Dorotka (sorry if those names are spelt wrong) like we were family. The food is always tasty and filling. Thank guys!

We’ve been before but this was certainly our best experience. This restaurant provided very good service and great food, at a reasonable price - particularly for our kids. We had starters and mains and the quality of the starters was the best we have had anywhere for some time.

Really excellent meal today. Fantastic, friendly service. The food was delicious - great value too. Front of house made an effort to engage with children and make us feel welcome. Good range of food on the menu to suit all tastes

Arrived 5.30 Thursday. Fairly empty at first, but filled up quickly. Great food with vegan choices, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth a visit!

I can't praise this restaurant enough, they were really good with my elderly disabled mother. Our waiter Matt was brilliant and service was quick and with a smile. Love the homemade Raspberry Lemonade and the food is excellent! All the other staff are lovely as well and always happy to help.

We’ve lived in Epsom a very long time now and Ask has been our long term reliable choice for a good quality meal, at a reasonable price, with a good atmosphere and most amazingly with staff that seem unfailingly cheery and welcoming. Lovely to chat to the Manager tonight and relay these thoughts, wishing above all else that Ask doesn’t suffer the same fate as Jamie Oliver’s restaurants. Please keep up the great work at Ask cause Epsom wouldn’t be the same without you! We shared I a pollo and pancetta salad and a pollo picante pizza.

I visit Ask to catch up with my friend, I was so impressed with the service. Our table was looked after by Dorota very warm and friendly girl who understand that girls catch up is more talking than eating,we weren't rushed or forced to vacate the table. We felt really welcome there .

I can’t stop raving about Ask Epsom, I feel so at home there, all the staff are fantastic - they never rush you to eat, give you plenty of time to choose in, they are very kind to me and other customers and this is comes across so naturally it’s not put on *a false smile like other restaurants. The food is exquisite I have my favourite pizzas and the staff know this and this in itself is a fantastic way of showing us *the customers they care. My special thanks to Dorota in particular, who knows me very well and takes time out of her busy schedule to talk to me. What I love about Ask is the family atmosphere, you guys rock xx

The food was very good & we didn't have to wait for long. We appreciated the complementary lemonade at the beginning of the meal but the best thing was our waiter Matt! A young, quirky & uplifting personality. He provided excellent service & made our evening even more entertaining.

Was going to Epsom playhouse so needed a quick bite to eat on the way.Never been to this restaurant before but great food and atmosphere.Our waitress was superb and really helpful when i told her we were in a bit of a hurry she could have not been more helpful great table service will be back ASAP.

Staff are lovely and very friendly and welcoming. Food is great, quick service. Good for kids and the kids menu was really good - tried some of my daughters pizza and it tasted amassing! Will definitely be coming back, really nice chilled atmosphere.

Again a great night Hubby friend and i went in here . The staff can not do enough for you,the manager is absolutely lovely nothing to much . Food is always extremely very good and presented well, i must say we been in here numerous times.I feel like VIP in here always greeted warmly and friendly.Looking forward to eating their this month. Even the low calories are tasty recommend Lasagne,Sea Bass and the Penne Arrabita Con Pollo. Pudding hubby recommends Chocolate Etna

I am working and staying in Epsom and eating out regularly. Ask has good food and good value. The service is friendly and attentive. Overall a good value.

I instantly feel at ease and thoroughly enjoy spending time with my friends and family whilst eating mouth watering food with authenticity. The menu has a very wide range of food so you are never stuck for choice and the staff there are always friendly and welcoming. My family and I often go to the cinema down the road before coming here for a meal and we are served by our usual, very cheery waiter (Anwer). The food here tastes exceptional i would say that this is easily my favourite resteraunt around. Would definately reccomend trying if you are in the area.

The food and service at this restaurant really are very good. It's well worth picking up a deal at voucher codes or on the ask website.

I really enjoyed the food as it was delicious and came out really quickly (the starters came out with the drinks) also, the waitress was nice and kind as it was my first Valentine’s Day

Lovely venue (apart from the very slippery wooden floor - ladies beware if you're wearing heels). Super menu with lots of choice. Pizzas were spot on with yummy toppings and very thin & crispy bases. Recommended - just make sure you don't get seated at the back of the restaurant as this is where all the smokers exit to go outside for a cigarette and therefore you'll be sat in a draft for most of the evening.

We enjoyed an excellent evening at Ask in Epsom. I really liked there new refurbishment and layout. It was busy for early on a Saturday evening but that is a good sign. Luckily we had booked a new booth at the front of the restaurant. It was very comfortable and plenty of room for the 3 of us. Gave us our own space while still being surrounded by other people. The restaurant has a good ambiance and had a real mixture of couples, families, birthday party and celebrations going on.
