Lunch today was absolutely delicious Service was so quick and couldn’t fault a thing Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner it’s hard to beat

Même pendant le rush, l’équipe nous a dégoté une table de 4, prise de commande et arrivée des plat dans la 1/2 heures. Au delà de ça, quand le poulet arrive encore frémissant avec une odeur de fou… vraiment les plats étaient EXCELLENTS ! Une orgie culinaire! Made an online booking for 2pm on Saturday , could see the restaurant closed at 2.30pm but assumed it was last Sitting at this time . Received confirmed X 2 that our booking was confirmed for 2pm turned up at the restaurant at 2 to be told it closed at 2.30pm so we would need be finished by this time ? Absolutely stupid , booking system needs updated along with the website and along with the staff confirming the bookings . Ended up going to the Royal Bengal where we received great service Along with fantastic food .

Good food but service was terrible. 2 tables sat a little while after we’d arrived got their food first then we started getting naan bread served even though we hadn’t had our starter yet. When we mentioned that it seemed like we got offered a free drink for that but got charged for it anyway on the bill

Ordered a delivery at 7:18pm on Dunfermline eats… it’s now 9pm and still no food and the restaurant is now closed… will not order again!!

We ordered a meal for two on the recommendations of a friend of the family Vegetable Pakora., Chicken Patia, Lamb Bhuna and two Pilau rice, garlic Nan and sauces. Pakora was flat and hard at the edges. Chicken Patia is supposed to be sweet and sour, mine was more of Heinz Tomato Ketchup and 1kg bag of sugar My daughter tasted it and said it was far too sweet and agreed with me. My son enjoined his Lamb. So 1 star for that Other than that, I will not be back as I rate it the worst I have ever had.

Staying in the hotel opposite we decided to try Nepalese for the first time and glad we did. We both love Indian food but this is Indian taken up a notch, from the shared starter of mixed pakora, more spices than any other Indian, through the Gurkha Chilli Chicken and onto dessert all amazing. BUT Better than the food are the friendly staff who all managed to help us in our selections and ensured we were satisfied but without over doing it. We will be back even though it's a 1 hour journey from home.

My partner & I were visiting Dunferline for the weekend and decided to go here for Saturday night dinner, table booked for 5.30pm via website which was very convenient and on arrival the restaurant was very busy and had a nice atmosphere. My partner & I could not help but notice that there was one member of staff who let the rest of the team down by not doing her fair share of the work, she floated about whilst Carys & Khan (I asked their names) were very busy keeping on top of everything at a very impressive quick pace, well done to these very valuable members of staff, I hope that Carys & Khan get the recognition they deserve by the owner,as for the other lazy female she needs to realise she letting the rest of the team down. Carys & Khan were very friendly & welcoming with fabulous customer service. The food was delishious, good portions and good value for money, so well done to the kitchen staff too.

Arrived here by chance as we went out to another restaurant which was closed. Arrived without booking and got seated right away. Drinks very reasonably priced. The curries: jumbo prawn masala and a nepalese chicken dish, aloo gobi, veg and plain rice and a chapati. All FIRST CLASS. Will be back as I love Indian/Nepalese food and the food here was tasty and plentiful.

For the first time we went out for Christmas dinner as Khan organised for his driver to collect us and take us home for very reasonable fee Foodwise and service was excellent as always resturant was fully and we never heard any complaints about food or service the gift of bottle of for each booking was very considerate next Christmas being looked at as soon as bookings open

We had an absolutely brilliant lunch here today. 5 people, all ordered different things and all thoroughly enjoyed what we had. Good service, great food, good portions and excellent value for menu. Highly recommend here!!

Have eaten in the restaurant a number of times and the food and service has always been very good. However having ordered a delivery an hour and a half ago we’re still waiting. Called the restaurant twice and the only response I receive is that the food is with the driver and it will be delivered soon………not very professional and hate to think what the food will be like when it does arrive.

Visited Ashiques last night for a birthday party for 24! Was such a lovely night and the food was outstanding! Everyone’s meal turned up at same time, was piping hot. So service was excellent , has to be the best Goan Fish Curry I’ve ever eaten . Already planning our next visit . Cannot recommend highly enough!

Enjoyable evening meal in downtown Dunfermline. Hospitable welcome, pleasant ambience, fairly standard curry house menu. Good lamb biryani, nicely presented, naan however was not bad, but not the best I have had. Would come back.

went with friends who always insist on going to Ashiqs when they visit, but we were embarrassed by the lack of service this time - different staff who seemed to be quite harassed - had to ask FOUR times for water, service was very poor and for example had starter sauces delivered without the ordered poppadoms - had to ask three times. certainly not the usual standard of service. may have to try somewhere else in future.

In my opinion the best Indian and Nepalese Restaurant in Town..Amazing Food..Varied menu with something to satisfy everyones tastebuds..Have visited on numerous occasions trying different dishes and have never been disappointed Friendly staff..Service is top class too..Cant wait for my next visit..Definitely recomend Ashiques..

We had a family get together on Saturday night and ordered a take-away. Although it was a little longer arriving than suggested the food was excellent with extra poppadoms and a nan to enjoy! It was a sharing experience and well all thoroughly enjoyed it!

Had a pleasant meal here. Food was nice enough. No complaints with the staff, all we encountered were professional. Atmosphere nothing special. Just under £50 for popodoms, 1 starter, 2 mains, rice + nan, plus 2 beers. A decent meal. But, forgettable. Nothing to make me want to go back.

My wife and I had a lovely meal yesterday. Great fast service I had the butter chicken and the wife had vegetarian tikka. My curry was excellent but my wife’s mostly consisted of potatoes. The garlic nan is well worth ordering. I would return thank you for a nice meal.

Stumbled on this wee gem by accident and so glad we did. We had the lunch menu for £7.95 and what great value for money. The food was absolutely gorgeous and plenty of chicken in our mains. The staff were extremely pleasant. Would highly recommend.We will definitely be back.

Service finished at 2.30 and we arrived at 2.20. We were made to feel very welcome and served at the same pace as an other customer, not rushed out or made to feel hurried.

My partner and I love ashiqs and decided to have our wedding reception for 45 guests. Ram and his team were brilliant, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere and service amazing. Could not recommend this place highly enough.

We went last night, (Saturday), in a group of 18. The food was wonderful and the service was really great. The gentleman that looked after us was so welcoming and attentive. We even got to try a wee cocktail sample each before we left. We will most definitely return. Thank you for having us!

Ate in Ashiqs on New Years Eve. Had the best food we had ever had in any Indian resturant. It topped Kismet in Edinburgh and that was always my favourite until we ate in Ashiqs. The service was really good from both lady behind the bar and the waiting staff who were kept really busy. Great food and good service made our night. Will definitely be back next time we are in Dunfermline.

We had the unfortunate visit to mayhem Christmas Day We chose the second 4pm sitting We along with other people stood outside for 20 minutes waiting to get in Table was not ready we were squeezed into a corner table which did not look good ie cutlery missing food spillage from previous diners We waited nearly 1 hour to be served the starters My starter was nice Nearly another hour for the main course to be served fortunately my meal was nice but unfortunately everyone else had problems ie sausages undercooked,sprouts brick hard, very sparse meat in the curries, They had run out of some food.

We have been massive supporters of Ashiqs and Basil and know that they can be great places to eat at. We have been regular customers and that’s why for the first time we decided to eat at Ashiqs for Christmas Day with our family. We opted for 4pm sitting. To put it politely it was terrible and I told them repeatedly in person. I also said I would be writing a bad review too .... so this review will not come as a surprise. Tried to speak to manager Ram but no one could reach him, not even the staff in Ashiqs! The service was bad and food undercooked. Queued for 20 mins to get our table. Name not on the list, had to show bank statement from phone as evidence of deposit paid, (the deposit slip was found behind the bar by staff after our meal) we were taken to our table and the diners who were just finishing their desserts were sitting at our table and told to leave while we were standing at the table, omg very awkward and embarrassing. They left and obviously the table wasn’t set or ready for us. The table we sat at had food stains from previous diners, napkins on floor and cutlery not set on table. We waited ages before our drinks order was taken. We got our 1canapé each after our starters were served ... 1 hour and 20 minutes later! Starters were slap dash and weren’t up to much. My dads main meal arrived, he ordered steak and got chicken korma instead(no steak left) really?! My mums veg wasn’t cooked, still frozen inside .... she was embarrassed and too polite to tell me at first ..., so I tried to cut a Brussel sprout it was like cutting through a slab of hard chocolate. The sausages were undercooked and the Yorkshire Pudding looked like it had better days. I told my mum to stop trying to eat it! My tikka masala was just full of sauce. I will give praise, the garlic nan tasted good. Desserts came and we all just left them ... yuk. To be honest we just got up when the desserts came the ice cream had clearly melted in the kitchen and was just liquid like. Had it not been Christmas Day I would have ripped my family out of there and went somewhere else. Actually in hindsight I wished I did do that and go to McDonalds, at least it would have been a better meal and £150 cheaper. The thought my mum was trying to eat her dinner to not cause any drama actually upsets me. Ashiqs ... you also win top prize for the worst table setting for Christmas!!! Here’s a photo to remind you. Maybe in years to come I’ll look back at this day and laugh how terrible the experience was but just now I don’t forgive you for how treated me and my family today. Such a shame. I would not recommend anyone to eat here for Christmas Day Dinner.

The staff were amazing, warm friendly & couldn’t do enough for us on our visit, food was unbelievably good & served very quickly, food is certainly by far the best Indian/Nepalese food in experiences saying something as I’ve sampled some of the best Glasgow, Edinburgh & Manchester has to offer, Ashiq’s leaves them all standing, well done & thank you I look forward to driving through from Glasgow regularly for amazing g food & service.

Our first visit after the rebuild. Things haven't changed as regards quality. Excellent food with attentive service. Special mention must be made of the nan, superb. Chicken korma and boona were really tasty. Generous helpings as well. A must visit restaurant.

Friday night and we we’re walking from one fully booked restaurant to another. Had to wait here as well but the wait was worthwhile. We can’t remember having eaten out as nice as this. The different starters and mains all had their very own specific and rounded taste. Great for sharing and nobody felt their dish was less exquisite than that of others. Will definitely come back, though will be our first choice next time.

I have a wonderful story about this place that I've been meaning to tell for a while. I spent a year studying abroad in the UK and was very fortunate that my family were able to visit me around the holidays. Since it was the first time we'd all be there together we made plans to meet in London and work our way back to Scotland where I was staying. As part of this grand adventure, I purchased tickets to the Red Hot Chilli Pipers for all of us and arranged for our journey to take us through Dunfermline the night of the concert, where they would be playing.

After a lengthy closure to refurbishment was glad to get back for a meal. Same friendly, welcoming service and superb food.

Wow the food seems better than it was before they done the refurb absolutely amazing we had chicken pakora to start and it was so fresh crispy and the sauce it came with was fab I had rogan josh and my husband had chilli garlic chicken and they were both 5/5 so tasty! Don’t think they do deliverys again yet but you can order to pick up will defiantly be back

Ashiqs es el mejor restaurante indio alrededor. La comida es estupenda. El personal es realmente amable y viene. Kenzie estaba esperando en la mesa y no podemos quejarnos de ella. We were treated to a beautiful meal here on Friday 17th Jan. Our lovely friends took us out for a birthday celebration. All four meals were delicious and of the highest quality.I had lamb tikka, a regular favourite of mine, and it was possibly the best I have ever tasted! It looked divine on the sizzler and was unbelievably tender for such large pieces of meat.All our party loved their meals. The service was excellent, helpful and friendly with a nice buzz about the restaurant.My wife and I will definitely be making repeat visits.

Give your taste buds a treat with mouth watering meals. It has an excellent a ls carte menu but also a lunch menu that is excellent value .
