Went today for the first time to the Arun View Inn my mum had been before. Absolutely superb food excellent portion size, fantastic service and a lovely atmosphere. Set on the bank of the River Arun with a great view it is a beautiful place to have a meal, highly recommended.

My fiancé and I eat here almost every week. Obviously we are great fans of the Arun view. Excellent food and great atmosphere good customer service. Reasonable prices.

Having been recommended to have a meal at the Arun View by friends we had lunch with our visitors at the Arun View. Although we had drunk here before we have never had a meal. We hadn’t realised how large the conservatory restaurant was and with a good river view for added interest. We found the menu varied and overall to our liking but as it was "fish friday" I had the fish & chips and my wife the plaice, our friends having a beef and pork dish. We had desserts but my desert was the choux bun with toffee sauce, cream and bananas – an unusual enjoyable dessert. Overall we enjoyed the Arun View and will look to a return meal sometime in the future. Would recommend to persons considering having a meal here.

fantastic fish restaurant great staff

1 night stay for business. Friendly staff and a lovely clean room. I can not rate the food and restaurant enough, the food is absolutely delicious. If you are in the area, make a pit stop.. calamari and the King Prawn, Crab and Chorizo Tagliatelle is to die for... flavours are fabulous! Kudos to the chef :) The staff were attentive, very polite and accommodating. Good music, relaxed atmosphere, stunning views... would totally recommend!

Visited today for the first time for mothers day lunch, when making the booking i did ask if poss a table by the window, which is what i got, so big thank you, food was fantastic, service great, friendly and attentive staff, thanks for a great experience, highly recommended. Popped in for lunch today. Delicious homemade steak and kidney pie and perfectly cooked veg. Perfect freshly cooked fish and chips. Friendly helpful staff and great location overlooking the river.

The staff are doing a wonderful job and the tables and food was great.

Family celebration . Wonderful choice of menu that suited all age groups. Nothing 2 much trouble, its a sunny restaurant and not all our party cope well with summer heat, air con and a table not in front solved the problem. Food and service made it a celebration to remember Parking and lovely river views. Staff particular kind to grand daughter who took a tumble. Hoping to return this year.

One of our favourite places to visit.

Brilliant stay! My partner and I stayed for one night, had lunch and some drinks. Food was unbelievably good. Fish was fresh and food was brilliant. Service was fantastic also. Room was spacious and comfortable. Looking forward to coming back and staying again!

Excellent service and a great menu. We were sat in a window seat and loved the view over the busy harbour. The music was tasteful, not too loud but still hearable!

Family room, 3 adults very comfy bed and clean room with en suite bathroom shower, water lovely hot. Top floor so few stairs & train lines across road but slow as going into end station and soothing sound we all thought and not very often. Breakfast amazing with choice and lovely seating area/view. Stopped for family catch up in the pub restaurant, again food and service amazing. A definitive 11/10!!

First visit today,as visiting the local area. Booked online Sunday lunch... Booked for 12 noon, we were 1st in the doors today... And how lucky...as fully booked till 6pm...Big restaurant, and full Booked in January...very impressed. Good Sunday dinners...freshly cooked. Bar is fully stocked,and you can even stay the night.. All the staff gave us a warm welcome, a very competent at their jobs, and all with a smile. Good value for money. Must emphasise booking is a must. Good to see a pub doing it right....

A lovely meal, great selection of good quality homecooked food at a reasonable price. Service was great, nice sized portions, atmosphere great a good place to come, certainly a cut above what the Chain Pubs offer... we will be back 😉

My friend and I booked for Christmas lunch here mid-December and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our table was festively decorated and our starters were excellent. A traditional turkey lunch was our next course and as u can see from my photos, it was excellent. We also celebrated with a bottle of Prosecco and left the pub satisfied and in a festive mood. At £80 for 2 two-course lunches plus fizz, nobody could complain 🎉🎉

We had 2 days here on a cold January weekend. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. It can be noisy if there is a band playing but otherwise no problems. The stairs to the rooms are steep and somewhat awkward if mobility is an issue. We would stay again if visiting.

Good food and service, big with a great view of the Arun. Roast dinner has been my favourite meal so far.

Comfortable bed, good Water View ,warm. Great breakfast, nice staff and bar. Only thing's negative, the toilet roll holder upside-down so roll kept falling off. Mirror over sink been wiped with unclean cloth, lot's of hair's. Coffee at breakfast could have been better.

Bit disappointed to be frank, not a late lunch booked, but no nut roasts for 2 vegetarians booked, so vacated unhappy.Not very satisfied with alternatives offered as expensive for choice left. Surprised not covered for adequate nut roasts and more exciting choices for vegetatians. Please sort for us vegetarians, please no ravioli, can get that from a tin for less than your overpriced one. Thanks.

We booked multiple tables for a Christmas dinner. The venue was very busy and noisy as there were multiple functions happening. I was disappointed with my starter of liver pate as there was not enough melba toaat for the amount of pate. I had the turkey mains which was very nice but the chocolate 'brownie' was definately not at all a brownie but a sweet cold chocolate cake. Perhaps to many people and the venue wasn't coping 🤔

Went for a lovely 3 course meal on the 30th December with my partner. The food was very very nice and the staff were so friendly. Ordered Prawn cocktail to start, Turkey Christmas roast dinner and chocolate fudge cake with ice-cream /cream. My partner ordered the Sea Bass, New potatoes and veg and it was all very tasty. Definitely would recommend

Visited yesterday, Boxing Day, very clean, Friendly staff who were very polite and helpful, the food was very good and tasty. But I was disappointed with the lack of vegetables, which i was expecting a Christmas seasonal lunchtime dinner. I had ordered a beef roast, meat was tender and tasty, three large roast potatoes, generous helping of Sprouts which I don’t like, but things became worse, the fact there was half a carrot sliced into small slithers, and one small piece of Broccoli, along with two small parsnips, I feel this establishment is operating at a level of get rich quick. What does it cost for a bag of carrots, Broccoli, possibly Leeks?…Had I gone to the toby, there would have been ample amounts of vegetables, pigs in blankets and stuffing which a member of my -party had with his turkey roast dinner, had I known of the measley quantities before arrival, I would have ordered the turkey dinner. Beforehand. It’s a shame the management operate in this manner, I don’t go out to complain in front of my guests. For the money I would have preferred the toby or Gravy Boat around the corner and been satisfied on Boxing day.

If it’s a nice day, this is a great place to sit outside and watch the river go by whilst having dinner. The inside is nice too, but probably could do with some updates with the furniture. But, we have always had great food and drinks here. Would recommend booking first though as it can get busy!

Fantastic food Fantastic staff. The place was full with several groups of revellers but the staff made everything look easy, the food was excellent a great DJ and everyone was enjoying themselves.

We stayed longer than planned drinking & we’re not rushed away. A v v busy time of year & they were just so cool headed & great team work. As expected for this time of year the pub & restaurant was extremely busy at 1200 noon. However we were shown to our table promptly. The service was impeccable, and I was impressed that although we were a table for two in a room full of larger office party groups etc, our food was delivered promptly and hot. We both had a lovely meal, and will be returning Great place and staff plus great food. You can’t ask for more!

Lovely food, great atmosphere, sensible prices

We had a family gathering, 16 plus a baby and 2 dogs. They were so friendly and accommodating. The service was excellent and the food ample and delicious. We weren't hurried away and had a wonderful afternoon, thank you.

Wonderful Inn on the side of the river Arun. Fantastic food , absolutely the best meal.ive had in a long time with fabulous staff. Highly highly recommended

Great food and staff but dreadful music far far too loud. Comfortable but so loud it was impossible to have a conversation without shouting - so all other guests were too noisy too

Pub by the Arun- when you book a table ask for a river view- although make sure tide is in! Very welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. We bought our dog along and they provided a bowl of water for her where we were sitting. Only down side is that you can’t sit with dogs with river view. Very good menu, with lots of good options, the sort of menu where you just can’t choose as it all looks good! Harvey’s beer and London pride on tap which was good to see and we also had a lovely bottle of white wine from Languedoc. Not the greatest looking pub from outside and inside is quite basic but I would definitely go back as food and service is very good.

Food was excellent, had the three course menu with friends, the chilli chicken starter was a table favourite followed by exceptional fish and chips! Polite attentive service can't fault the place.
