Wonderful in all the ways, fabulous selection of flavours. I didn’t even bat an eyelid went straight for pistachio. Then afterwards spotted the caramel whiskey shortbread, um what that sounds flippin yum? Can only comment on the pistachio, which was delicious (may have to go back tomorrow for whiskey caramel shortbread) Staff were really super friendly, 11/10 would recommend. Plus they stay open til 10pm for all your late night cravings!

A spontaneous stop for a coffee whilst we awaited our apartment to become ready. On a whim (/greed) I ordered a cheese and tomato toastie. What I received was probably the tastiest, fluffiest crusty roll with hot cheese and tomato I have ever eaten. It was delicious. Coffee was great and all served by smiley, happy people. 5 stars.

Came almost at 22 hrs on a rainy cold weekday. Their whisky ice cream was to die for, I know where I’m getting my dessert next time I’m in Edinburgh.

I only came here for ice cream - unfortunately they didn’t have any vegan ice creams only sorbet - I got strawberry and mango which was delicious and actually didn’t melt at all!

Ideal for making a real “Scottish Breakfast” (vegetarian option also available). Satisfactory value for money and very generous. Interesting to keep.

Best eggs Benedict in Edinburgh. Came across there looking for somewhere for breakfast and so glad we did. The food was incredible and the service was great. Coffee was delicious. Didn’t expect it as it’s an iced cream shop as well.

Cleanliness is the highlight of this shop. I had a tasty milkshake. The shop was not crowded and there were lots of seats. They also make some tasty cakes and cookies. Bun & Scoop's Chocolate brownie is famous in the town. The washroom was also neat. If you visit the castle, you should also try to visit this ice cream shop.

Myself and my family have eaten at Bun and Scoop 4 or 5 times and the food is beautifully presented and very tasty. The breakfast menu has a lot of variety and the portions are large. Everyone in my party on each occasion was very impressed, not only with the food but the service and the atmosphere. I can also highly recommend the biscoffe drink. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Bun and Scoop for yet another fabulous experience.

Lovely friendly comfy place to go for a cuppa tea or coffee. I went just after most of the shops closed, around 5.30pm, and I wanted a cup of Rooibosch tea, and they had some. Their coffee and ice cream is great too. I didn't eat any cooked food so can't comment, but it sounded good if you want hot food. Nice relaxed friendly atmosphere, with clean modern interior.

First: Overpriced. Despite the ice cream being good (it looks like Gelato, but it isn't) Second: I went to several places in the city, and it was the only one in which the staff (a guy, night shift) was completely rude. English is not my mother language, but i just asked them to repeat a word, and he gave an orientation to the attendee pretending that I couldn't understand instead of just repeating what I asked.

The ice cream was amazing but the service is even better. The ginger guy is so nice. He prepared the ice cream in such a fabulous way and he’s so comedic and just has great customer service overall. Couldn’t catch his name, but the other guy Sam is amazing as well. They both scooped my ice cream in such a perfect way.

A lovely place in a great location. Close to the Royal Mile. The prices are not too expensive, especially considering the location. The food was delicious and tasty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The man who served us was extremely kind, really friendly, great with kids, made great hot chocolate and gave us stunning tablet! I highly recommend going here!!!

Had a work emergency and was looking for a place to have a quick coffee and sit half an hour with my laptop. I went in, asked if they had wifi, and asked if it was all right for me to do this. The person said yes, but after I ordered my coffee and sat, he said wifi might not be very good. It was actually non existent: internet didn’t work at all. I quickly left to find another spot to work, and asked for a refund of the coffee I wasn’t able to drink, which they kindly gave me. The place looked very nice and the coffee did as well even if I didn’t have time to taste it, so this would have been a 5 star review if the other person behind the counter hadn’t mistreated me for going there “just for wifi”. My dearest: if this was a problem for you, you could have just told me when I respectfully asked before sitting down, and I would have gladly found another place to go.

Das Personal war zuvorkommend, das Essen aber war einfach nicht gut. Das Bistro liegt Zentral und ich würde es als Touristenfalle bezeichnen. Die Pommes waren gammelig und das Lachs-Omlett hat komisch gerochen. Kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Az ételek amit ettünk, nevezetesen a lazacos és a csirkés palacsinta nagyon finom volt. A lazacos talán finomabb. De a kiszolgálás, főleg a copfos fehér srác nagyon hanyag, nemtörődöm. Rengeteget kellett várni is rá, bár a többi srác kedves volt. Ennek ellenére szervizdíjat számoltak fel.

2 of us visited last Friday late evening around 7pm and the staff (particularly 1 gentleman - perhaps the mgr/owner?) was incredibly friendly and offered sample before buying!! The flavors were fantastic as was the taste, good prices - would visit again for sure!! Great area also!

Let you sample if unsure. Good selection of ice cream. Went back the following day. Some different flavours. We had orange sorbet, chocolate orange toblerone and kinder Bueno cheesecake. All delicious!

Popped in for coffees. The girl serving asked if it was sit in or take away. Told her to take out. The girl making the said coffee made them to sit in. Corrected her of the right order, she then spoke extremely rudely to me 'well I wasn't told they were take away' So shocked! Is that my fault?! Told her I didn't appreciate her tone & then proceeded to argue with me even as I tried to leave - customers in the shop at the time. Not the best advert!! Safe to say wouldn't go back.

Best gelato I’ve had thus far, and I work in a gelato place abroad £3,50 per scoop might be on the expensive side, but definitely worth it for the amount of gelato you receive and the taste :)) lovely staff

chaeap but not tasty. I ordered a scrambled egg with the mushroom and cheese on the top so they bring a separate toast and separate. Scrambled egg and separate mushroom. The scrambled egg smelled was too stinky bad so I didn't eat it

Das Eis war geschmacklich sehr lecker, steht jedoch mit dem Preis für 3,50Pfund/ Kugel in absolut keiner Relation. Selbst in Berlin, in Mailand, Verona und noch nicht mal im touristischen Venedig wurden diese Preise aufgerufen. Wie gesagt lecker, aber nochmal würde ich nicht hier herkommen.

Glace au goût d'eau. Très cher pour des glaces moins bonnes que celle d'un supermarché.

Ok ice cream, the most disappointing thing was that the guy serving had no idea what the ice cream flavors were. He couldn’t explain what flor di latte or malteser was.

Ice cream it was 3£50 and very light...

Lovely and bright place for breakfast or lunch. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, making recommendations and letting me go off menu so I could just order a plate of the breakfast items I was craving. Followed up my meal with some gelato - I recommend the coffee flavour - super yummy! They have 1 gender neutral toilet and plug sockets under the benches. So it’s a great traveller’s rest stop.

Great ice cream but very poor service. Three staff members on the counter but no one could be bothered to serve us for upto 10 minutes!
