Armenian Kebab House in Blackpool

Top notch service 👌🏼 We had mixed and chicken &lamb kebabs. Both were unexpectedly large and full of meat and flavour. Succulent pieces of chargrilled lamb and juicy chicken made it a delightful experience. It was worth waiting as demand was enormous.

Tried here for the 1st time ( we're from Birmingham) I had doner meat & chips & wife had lamb shish in pitta. Can honestly say it was by far the best we have tasted 👌👌👌 can deffo recommend & we will be back 😊

Everytime we come to Blackpool we HAVE to come here. We have been a customer since 1984 and the kebabs are still as good as they were 40 years ago. Sadly Nurses the original owner passed away last year, but it is still being run by the same family and carrying on his tradition. Yes you may have to wait, but the taste of the kebab is worth it. No factory produced rubbish. Home made. Tasty. Peppery. Spicy. Lovely cabbage, onion and chilli. Nothing but great memories and 5 Stars.

Amazing fresh home made kebab... I'm not a salad lover so the cabbage and onion is perfect for me.. get the chicken kebab, comes with skewered onions which are to die for (and a bit of donna on top) 2 chilli 2 garlic for me .

Bad stomach for 2 days, probably the sauce, I won't not go again. Very disappointed. The sauce was chilli with garlic.

Lived in Blackpool for nearly 15 years now and only tried Armenian kebab for the first time tonight. It's always had a brilliant reputation amongst the locals but they only accept cash and are not on any easily accessible websites like Just Eat, Foodhub and Blackpool Eats hence why I've always chosen the easy option of ordering to my door. I can't believe I've been missing out on this place for so long, simply the best kebab I've ever had, not just in Blackpool (I've tried and ate many being the chubby lad I am) just wow. Lovely guys behind the counter excellent customer service waited 20 minutes to get served which is what you want with everything being cooked fresh and it being busy, the vast majority of customers being local with a long line of cars parked along the street waiting licking their lips in anticipation. Honestly, it's that good 👍

Went yesterday for the first time in over 25 years what a disappointment. I don’t know what was wrong with the donner meat but was flavourless bland and greasy. As for the chicken and shish the onions overpowered the meat making it that all you tasted was the onion. All in all wasted a full kebab each

Still among the best Kebabs in Blackpool. Always good and the lamb meat is better than anyone else's. Their portions are smaller than other kebab shops and they are a lot more expensive than other Kebabs. This was okay years ago because the quality made it worth the extra cost, now however they don't give value for money anymore. Portions too small for the higher price. Still delicious, but not good value.

Had my 1st kebab here over 30 years ago, and it is still the best kebab you can get in Blackpool. ❤️

Had the chicken special. Chicken kebab and donner. Generally don’t do donner meat but I think it’s a test of a place. Excellent. It’s a new ‘Armenian’ to me and the salad is what I would describe as plain but still good. the onion is fabulous, lightly chargrilled. The bread was ‘bready’😊 I had a touch of mint and garlic Mayo sauce. I’d prefer a little more chicken but I will order it again. Soon. Service as stated and if it had a ‘sit in’ I’m sure they’d do 5 star. Some comments about ‘greasy’, I dont agree. The donner was moist, there’s a difference. Happy to have found a go to takeaway. Dont forget they’re cash only. The photos have a Coke bottle for scale as some have commented on size. (I’ve edited some typos since posting originally).

Genuine, authentic homemade doner meat. None of that nasty pre made cash and carry or catering suppliers stuff the majority of places use. Arguably the best kebab shop in town by a long way. FYI, the 🌶 sauce is pretty hot....enjoy

Overrated. Lamb and chicken meat was OK. But the portion sizes for the price felt like id been robbed. £7+ for one small pitta bread with meat in and even that wasn't full. Disappointed is an understatement.

Never been but my friend was itching for a kebab and we were not disappointed. Expected it to be a greasy mess but surprisingly it wasn't and stood out compared to other takeaways.

Best mixed kebab ive ever eaten the donor meat is amazing aswell as the shish... plenty of sauce to go with the cabbage and onions.. Only thing ya have to wait but its worth every minute

The worst takeaway I’ve ever ever encountered. Mixed kebab had 3 pieces of small burnt lamb and a ton of greasy doner meat. Will never ever order again. Plus it cost more than I could ever of imagined. Absolutely disgusting 🤮

Visited the Kebab house twice last week when down in Blackpool, used to stay in Blackpool, and went to the Armenian Kebab house regularly. Kebabs have not changed over the years. Still the best kebabs I've tasted. Would recommend this place for kebabs. Yes you may have to wait if busy, but we'll worth the wait.

Just ordered 3 kebabs tonight as lots of people said it’s SO good. My experience was nothing like good, not even ok. The lamb special included 4 burned pieces of lamb and tons of greasy doner. It was pretty decent. I don't usually eat kebabs but the glowing reviews tempted me in after a hospital appointment round the corner. I had a chicken shish and my husband had a large doner. My kebab was delicious although it was a bit disappointing not being offered any chillies or other salad or sides to go with it. It comes with cabbage and fried onion which is nice but it's a bit bland really. They sell fries but I would rather have more salad or veg. And I was hoping for a chicken shawarma but alas they don't do them. My husband's large doner was good, so I'm told. I had a small piece of the meat and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Normally doner meat is vile to me but this was flavourful and tasted of great lamb. Again slightly let down by the lack of chillies or any contrasting flavours. We only had to wait 10 minutes. I'd be horribly disappointed waiting 40 minutes like other reviewers!

Absolutely love this place been a customer since 1978 & it's never faltered our grandkids stay on a Saturday & the first thing they ask is can we have a kebab granddad !! Best meat you will ever taste made on site & the best homemade chilli sauce & homemade mint sauce ever ! It's a real treat Try it you won't be sorry !!! 1/10/22 Still a loyl customer just had an extra large donner with cabbage onions 5 chilli & 6 mint & as always it was off the scale, ps enough left for a good lunch tomorrow Bonus !!

£7.50 for a half tray of meat (even though it's advertised as tray of meat), the meat was nice but no tubs for sauce so I had to put it on the meat.

I went here today I got a chicken kebab and donner kebab when I got to my car and opened them there was three pieces of chicken on one !!! and a nice dirty hair on the donner !!!! never again I’ll stick to ahmets in Lytham !!! What a waste of money and time yuk !

The Armenian has been constantly Serving Great food for the last 25 years that I have known it , my weekend treat is always the Mixed Kebab , with 2 spoons of mint sauce in the middle , topped with 2 spoons of garlic sauce on top , just lush..

Heard the legend of this place for years. Never actually believed it existed until one dark wintry night there it was faintly glowing like a beacon in the distance. Awesome Kebeb. They certainly know how to eat meat in Armenia.

Got a tip from an old work mate to give it a try, that was 3 years ago. this really is the best donner meat that i have ever had. i have donner meat and chips, just superb. the staff are great and the owners are an old fashioned couple, service is superb. i go regularly. give it a try, you will love it

40 minute wait for one of the blandest tasting kebabs .

It came highly recommended We felt let down.. They didn't have any chicken left so couldn't have mixed kebab Placed an order without cabbage or onions it arrived with both.. The plus side was that the meat tasted good and wasn't greasy .. I doubt if I would pay £11 again for the kebab that was not of top quality...
